Obsidian Tower - Human Resources

The Human Resources Division (HRD) of Obsidian is located on the sixth floor of Obsidian Tower, and makes up the entirety of the floor - appropriate, given that while half of the floor is offices for the various employees who make up the division, the other half features a variety of specialized locales available for reservation by all Obsidian divisions - including classroom-style buildings for team trainings, a dedicated computer lab for mandatory corporate trainings, and more. The half of the floor which houses the HRD offices features a large lobby, with a surplus of surprisingly comfortable chairs, a water cooler, and a Keurig, well-stocked with various tea and coffee options. The lobby faces a receptionist's desk, behind which sits one of several interchangeable employees dependent on the day of the week and hour of arrival of any visitors.

The vast majority of the HRD's employees share cubical style offices, few of which are decorated. A standing printer is located every six cubicles: the sound of printing papers, clacking keys, and quiet phone calls can be heard at most hours. Only the higher ups have private offices: these offices, without fail, are large, featuring a large desk and computer set up, a comfortable leather-exterior rolling chair, several bookshelves, and a large window with a view of the Mitakihara skyline. The Assistant Director's office is no different, with only the several large potted plants placed on a low table beneath the window and a few photographs, angled away from where visitors could easily peek, to personalize the space.
