Come Home, Cat!
Date of Scene: 04 March 2024
Location: Penguin Park
Synopsis: Utau Hoshina tries to convince Ikuto Tsukiyomi to come back to Easter.
Cast of Characters: Utau Hoshina, Ikuto Tsukiyomi

Utau Hoshina has posed:
Utau Hoshina was dressed in her usual get up. A black dress, gothic in style. What was changed was her hair, twintails in braids, and wearing a set of reading glasses. That was her disguise for today. It worked. There was no one bothering her and no paparazzi crowding her, and so on.

She was sitting on a bench, waiting patiently. At a specific hour of today, late afternoon-ish. Ikuto knew to come--- mainly, he got a letter delivered by 'El' who also admonished Ikuto a little, before taking off, to come here at a certain time. Clearly, it was from Utau, considering who delivered it.

So she waited and waited. She did not have a large window with which to speak to Ikuto. So she hoped her brother would arrived soon.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
His sister...he hadn't talked to her in some time. Ikuto would never admit to -missing- her of course, but he was definitely happy to see Utau again as he dropped down from a rooftop into an alley near where the letter had said she would be, before walking out.

"Yo." He gave a small wave as he sat next to the disguised girl, his eyes constantly searching for any hint of Easter presence. He trusted Utau to not betray him, but didn't trust his step-father to not try and have her followed. "You shouldn't be out seeing me like this, Utau. I'm kind of on the Director's 'list' these days." Yoru for his part smiled and gave Utau a friendly wave. "Hi, nya!"

Utau Hoshina has posed:
Il came around from the far side of Utau's head and chuckled. "Yeah, but she's doing it anyways! Like a chump!" she said the devil chara.

Utau Hoshina almost leapt across the bench to hug Ikuto, but manages to keep her butt down on the bench as she tries to hug her brother anyways. "You came!" she says.

"But what was that all about!?" she asks with worried purple eyes. "Why didn't you henshin? Why didn't you help at that concert?" she takes a deep breath.

"Look." she says, spreading her hands out. "Let's go back together." she says, trying to latch onto an arm to hug it to her side. "I'm sure this is all a big misunderstanding. And if it isn't..."

"We'll, we can paint it as such anyways!" she says.

"Great plan, all in!" says Il, throwing two tiny thumbs up.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto scooted around the bench, narrowly avoiding Utau's attempts at hugging and holding him. "The concert...Easter was trying to steal the heart eggs of those children. I couldn't just let them do that. Not anymore. Not if I want to be able to look our father in the eye when I find him. Ever since Director Hoshina came around, I had just accepted that things had to be the way they were. I wanted to find our father of course. But I accepted that doing so would require Easter's assistance.

A while ago I met someone who made me realize that there's a different path. That I don't have to waste away acting as the Director's errand boy. Fighting his fights and following his rules. Letting him use Easter to further his own ambition. I can't go back, Utau. I won't be under his thumb ever again."

Utau Hoshina has posed:
Ikuto avoids Utau's hugs and this makes her merely kneel up suddenly and try again. She's persistent if anything in this. "Ugh what's with this 'good boy' act all of a sudden, I hate it." she says.

When Ikuto goes on about their dad she narrows her eyes. It's true, she misses their dad. But he's gone. Vanished. "Who did you meet!? It wasn't that other singer... not in that outfit she better not. Was it?" she asks.

"Ugh, don't you even care what I'm doing for us!? I don't even have the time for this, but I'm doing it, trying to drag you back. Before everything becomes horrible."

"You're being dumb!" she says. Il has nothing to say. She merely nods in a matter of fact manner.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
After all these years, Ikuto had just about perfected his ability to keep out of his sister's grasp. He could see in his mind where she would try to get him next, and how he'd need to move to avoid her. The last time he had let her get ahold of him he'd thought there'd never be a moment without her stuck to him again.

"It wasn't that other girl. I haven't seen her since the day of the concert. It was a girl named Amu. She had to leave town not long after we met, but she's...different. She dresses like a delinquent but has a good heart. Her expression was scary, but when I talked to her she was kind. She isn't like me. She wasn't hiding who she was, but rather remained herself regardless of what others thought. She made me see that I'd been hiding away hoping that I'd get a chance to stand up for myself. Pretending I was okay with letting the dreams of others die out because it might get me closer to what I wanted without having to do anything difficult. Now though? I'm going to take our step-father's dreams and crush them like he has so many others."

Ikuto sighed. "What do you mean 'for us'? You don't have to protect me, Utau. Just a few days ago I had to deal with basically all of Easter's security team on a rooftop. You should tell the old man to get better security if that's who he's had protecting the talent. There were nearly twenty of them and they couldn't handle just me."

Yoru floats past, munching on a bag of candy he seems to have "obtained" from a nearby vendor. "You should have seen your big bro Miss Utau! He was like wham, pow, Ikuto smash! He even threw a guy down a fire escape, nya!" As he tells his tale, Yoru mimics the sounds and motions of the pitched brawl atop the roof just days before.

Utau Hoshina has posed:
Utau Hoshina keeps trying to hug Ikuto, falling over the side of the bench and falling to the ground, and trying to hug his legs next. Utau isn't going to give up trying to hug her big brother. El, watching from a distance says "Oh dear."

Utau Hoshina listens to this story, about a girl named Amu and not about that girl who tried to steal her thunder. She's still upset at that and it reads on her face, but she relaxes a little cooly as she finds out it isn't the singer. But now she has to deal with a whole other new can of worms.

"So some girl said some things and you cared. Give me a break! What about what this girl is saying." she says, meaning herself.

"Please reconsider this ... this is some real dumb stuff you're thinking of doing. Are you just leaving me alone to find that.."

She looks around on the ground. "That dumb Embryo?"

Utau regards Yoru with a snort. "Go away, kitty kat!" she says. Il let's loose a "Hey!" before she starts to chase after Yoru. "Hand it over, hand it over!" she demands of the candy.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto hops up onto the backrest of the bench to avoid getting grabbed, offering a hand to help his sister get off the ground.

"I'm not leaving you alone, Utau. I'm going to put a stop to the Director's plans and take the Easter Company back for our family. For you. So that you can live out your dreams too. I'll take Easter back under the Tsukiyomi family name, and then we can find the Embryo together."

Yoru sticks out his tongue and leads Il on a chase for the candy, laughing. "Nyahaha, only if you say please!"

Utau Hoshina has posed:
Utau Hoshina pouts a little on the ground and crosses her arms with a 'harumph!' as she can't even hug Ikuto, her own brother. She doesn't accept the help up, in a huffy, I'll do it myself manner and she rears back for another hug, as she listens.

"But...!" Mid leap, and mid attempt to speak on the matter her phone goes off and she flails and has to stop herself from tumbling over the top of the bench, which she managers. She has to answer it as she listens.

"...Yes Miss Sanjou." she goes as she wilts visibly. "Ugh. I need to go. But you really need to get your act together and make the right decision soon, Ikuto!" she says, hands on her hips, as she turns around and starts to storm off.
