Cast of Characters: Mamoru Chiba, Zoisite, Hotaru Tomoe
Tinyplot: Operation: Past

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
There was absolutely a phonecall to the landline of the Casa del Outers after Mamoru woke up from his two-hour nap -- it's early evening now, around the time that dinner should be being a thing and the Outers should be home -- but instead there was phonecall.

"It's Mamoru," the prince had said over the phone, "hi! I'm getting food on the way over since you probably haven't eaten yet, but I'm bringing Zoisite because I'm in danger~ Can you be Charon when we get there please? Also, what would you like from Korma? We'll explain everything when we get there."

Now they are, in fact, NOT in henshin (even though that was the quickest way to get there), but are at the back door of the big house, ringing the doorbell.

Mamoru glances to Zoisite, and there's just this little :3 there; a nap really did excellent things for his mood and composure.

Zoisite has posed:
Two hours hadn't resulted in any great revelations on Zoisite's part, but at least Mamoru had slept. Seeing as his prince was in much improved spirits now, the least Zoisite could do was accompany him on this errand.

As if Zoisite was going to go anywhere that wasn't at Mamoru's side, today.

Also there's food, which is not generally something that motivates Zoisite, but apparently this place is good. So he helpfully holds the bag as they stand at the door, waiting for it to be answered.

Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Charon was on the rooftop when they arrived.

Looming.

Like a loomer. Her key-glaive held overhead. She was the guardian of the home. The gatekeeper. The ruler of all in this domain. She... had access to the card that paid for the food while they were gone. And she would like a spicy level of 2, fish korma, if you would be so kind.

Then, when the pair arrived... she leaped down behind them. "Hark, young travelers and visitors to the realm! I am Sailor Charon, assistant to Sailor Pluto, guardian of the ninth planet of our solar system. And it IS a planet! Please, feel free to enter as the door is already unlocked as I did not wish to climb out a window to get onto the roof."

... Did... did her glaive... just... give an exhausted sigh?

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Good grief," says Mamoru with a laugh, hand over his heart as he reels around to look at Sailor Charon. "So startling! We brought your fish korma." That Zoisite is carrying. Which means Mamoru opens the door for all of them.

"I thought you should know I'm Tuxedo Kamen, by the way," he tells Charon as he closes the door behind them all next. "Sailor Pluto told me because I came to ask her at school, but I didn't want to give your identity away even to Zoisite -- even to Sailor Moon! -- because that's your call."

He goes over like he's been here before (he's been here before) and moves some stuff off the counter so Zoi can put the food down near where the plates and things are.

"We came to let you know that the other Outer Senshi and also Rashmi ended up going through a portal to another dimension, and we're working on getting them back out, and it shouldn't be too long, but I told them via proxy that I'd come check on you and let you know where they were."

Zoisite has posed:
Having been relegated to food carrier (probably because he... you know, offered...) Zoisite wordlessly lifts the bag when Mamoru mentions the fish korma. He even gives it a little shake. Shakey shakey.

Then he pushes his sunglasses up onto the top of his head, because they're out of henshin and Zoisite is super cool so of course he has sunglasses, and starts to follow Mamoru in. "I'm Zoisite," he says, perhaps unnecessarily, as he squints up at Sailor Charon, before he crosses the threshold and is properly inside.

He deposits the food on the counter and then absolutely does not offer to unpack it, having apparently done his job. Instead he affects a lean against the counter, out of the way, and crosses his arms over his chest. "Right," he says, looking dubiously over at Mamoru's explanation, but doesn't offer up any additional details.

Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Charon let out a little happy sqwee of delight. "Yesss! I've been looking forward to it since you called me! Thank you! And you are? Wow. You know, you look really good in the cape! It's so cool! Sailor Senshi don't get capes..." she said, with a small little pout. "We should, though."

She'd follow after them. "But no, my identity must remain hidden from all, if possible. It's too dangerous for most to know. Were you to know who I truly was, it could put all of reality at risk. For you see, my true role in this conflict between Pluto and those who would dare to call it a not-planet has created for me many enemies, but if I were to fail in my task, it could undo the very fabric of our solar system." ... No. No it could not.

Of course, when he told her where everyone was, she stumbled. Her eyes went wide... and she looked up at him. "W-wait... they're... They're okay though, right? They're not in danger, are they? I... I thought... they're all in there? How... how long until they'll be out? Are they okay? Did they bring packed lunches? Wh-- I don't care if my heart rate is rising! No, I will NOT calm down! You heard them, they're in trouble! W-we need to do something! We need to contact Riventon or... no, he can't... nggggg..." She had to pause, a hand moving on the counter, holding it to try and keep herself steady as she took slow, steadying breathes....

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru exchanges that glance with Zoisite. The dubious look, though getting it is absolutely Mamoru's hobby, was well earned this time.

The CLAMP noodle of a prince crouches down in front of Charon, then, looking up at her, and he says firmly, "They are fine. They didn't go in on purpose, but Sailor Mercury and Kunzite and our friend Naru went in after them and brought lunches and bottled water, and Sailors Moon and Mars and Jupiter, and Jadeite, and Hope Blossom and that pirate girl and Red Rocket Girl and I'm probably forgetting people at this point -- they're all in there too, and we're going to get them out."

He glances at Zoisite again, this time with a little bit of a 'watch this' glitter to his eyes, and looks back to Sailor Charon. "Sailor Mercury is working on it from that end, she went in with equipment-- and Riventon is working on it from this end, and Luna and I are working on figuring out how to help using my psychic connection to some of the people in there."

Zoisite has posed:
On the subject of capes, Zoisite clearly agrees, his head bobbing up and down in a quick nod as Sailor Charon mentions it.

But then they're onto other topics, and honestly Mamoru knows more than he does, so best leave it up to him to do the bulk of the explanation. "They're all very capable," Zoisite assures, and then his mouth dries up, because what else is he going to say? At least Mamoru takes the lead, which is good, because he's out of reassuring things to say.

So as it turns out he is going to be the one to unpack the food, because that's something to do with his hands, and also means he can kind of turn away from the conversation and pretend to be very busy with something else. Though he does add, "I'll help too!" even if he feels entirely useless after saying so.

Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Charon relaxed a little bit as Mamoru told her just how many people were working to get them all out. "O-oh. Ohhh... okay. So... it's just another mission thing, okay. That's cool. You should lead with that next time, I was really scared for a moment there," she said, giving a small little pout. "I thought maybe... well, it doesn't matter what I thought. That's not the case here. They're okay and that's all that matters."

"But... so I guess this means they won't be home for a while, huh?" she stood up a little straighter and jammed her glaive, dull end down, into the ground. "Well, don't you worry one bit. I have a strong, capable head on my shoulders. I'll make sure to keep the household safe until they return. Ummm... but... but you'll make sure to tell me as soon as they're safe though... right? And... and let them know I've got it all handled so they don't worry about me too much?" Pause. "And you acknowledge that Pluto is a planet?" Give her an inch and she'll take the whole cake, this one.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Very, very aware of Zoisite, and feeling a little bad that there was definitely jumping into the deep end here, Mamoru raises his eyebrows at Charon. "Who am I to argue with fourteen thousand years?" Then he's standing up, and he hooks his foot into the bottom of one of the kitchen chairs and pulls it over, then drops himself into it and glances over to see how Zoisite is doing with the food-unpacking.

"You're already helping! But yes good, since I've got a psychic connection to you, Luna can maybe have a look and see what that looks like when it's not attenuated. And I bet if you and I both reach together we can get a better hold on them," he tells his prettiest guardian.

Then he's looking at Charon again and one corner of his mouth is crooked up. "I forget where the plates and things are," he lies, "can you do that part, Sailor Charon? Also, if anyone else goes in, or if we establish another line of communication, I can pass along updates, for sure. In the meantime, I think you should watch TV and eat ice cream the whole time they're gone, to teach them a lesson about going off like that."

Zoisite has posed:
Fish korma, saag paneer for himself, and whatever Mamoru ordered (Zoisite wasn't involved in that part of the food-obtaining process, so he has no idea!) are pulled from the bag, along with extra naan, because... you don't need justification for naan, do you? Either way, the food ends up laid out just so, and then Zoisite stands behind Mamoru's chair, a hand landing on his prince's shoulder.

"The most important place I can be right now is by your side, so that's what matters," he says, and he doesn't sound at all regretful of being out here versus in there, even with both Kunzite and Mercury gone. Temporarily, at least. He hopes. But he keeps those thoughts very much to himself.

Instead he finds something to pick on Mamoru about. "Television and ice cream? Do you want them to find out how much of a bad influence you are?" But he squeezes Mamoru's shoulder, because he's just teasing, and then Zoi's shaking his head. "Pluto is definitely a planet. It shouldn't be up for debate in the first place." And it sounds like he might be serious about that, not just playing along!

Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Charon decided that she did, in fact, like this Zoisite. He was a good Zoisite.

"Oh, I couldn't do that. Though, to be fair I think Pluto would let me do that anyway. But I might get cavities and that'd be really bad for my teeth. I'm not really much for watching television, anyway." Pause. "Oh! Would you two like to play a boardgame while you're here? We have a lot of them!" A slightly longer pause and then, in a hushed tone... "If you want to do something naughty... I could show you Pluto's cosplay room. She has *so many* outfits... it's amazing... I was Catastrophe for a while, evil villain opposing the hero Amazonia."

She then, of course, went to get the plates. She was short and they were high, so she used her key-glaive to tug open the cupboard, then flew up a little bit so she could snatch them. "Silverware is in that drawer there," she motioned with her elbow for them as she walked over to the table, placing the plates down.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
The hand on Mamoru's shoulder gets a head leaning briefly against it, which means just that little bit of contact: a combination of 'oh, you XD' and 'this is difficult I am glad you are here' and 'I can be braver still if you need to go'.

It's not that he's lying, per se. He's just not giving the whole truth. He doesn't want the monster to come out.

"How about board games after everyone gets back? We have time to have dinner with you, but then we really need to go meet up with Luna and work on the problem," he says, reaching to pull over his lamb korma and the tin of samosas, and also to steal some garlic naan, and also to open one of the rice containers.

He does not get the silverware.

"You won't get cavities if you brush your teeth," he says reasonably, instead. "And I don't want to die, and I'm positive Pluto could look into that room with Time Eyes and see that I had seen it, so I'm going to have to pass on seeing her cosplay collection."

Zoisite has posed:
Okay, so Zoisite's getting the silverware then, he sees how this is going. Uh huh. There's a quick transmission of fond exasperation overlaying all of the more complicated emotions Zoi is compartmentalizing right now, and then he's gone, off to fetch things. When he returns to the table he dutifully passes out eating utensils, since they are in fact about to eat.

"Board games?" he asks, one eyebrow raised, and then his voice goes a bit higher as he continues with, "Cosplay room?" Consider Zoisite to be Interested, however Mamoru shoots down the idea for the time being as they are needing to deal with the whole portal situation, so Zoisite takes his seat in front of his vegetarian meal and nods.

Just before eating a bite of paneer, he says, "I wouldn't mind playing board games with you some time," because of course. Zoisite is competitive to a fault, of course he would play board games. He probably loves them.

Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Charon nodded. "Right... yeah. I guess you probably do need to go pretty fast," she said, sinking just a little bit. "But... but they will be okay. They... they have to be okay. Right?" she asked gently. Her eyes lowered. Slightly, just a little... well, a lot, worried.

Her device began to play light, gentle, soothing music. She sighed. "Don't mind him, he's just protective." She grabbed a small plate for herself and only put a little bit of her food on it. Yochu would get some later.

Then Zoisite said he'd play games. And her face lit up. "Ohhhh, we have all of them! You should play with us sometime! It's so much fun, we make all kinds of house rules and sometimes Pluto and I will dress up like the characters in the games and we'll play them, can you do an evil laugh? Mine is AMAZING! 'Oh ho ho ho ho! I've now taken Turkey, my dear, leaving you cut off from your escape... and now... YOU SHALL FALL!'" She, in fact, did the whole back of the hand laugh and everything.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru leans over to Zoisite after filling up his plate, and patpats the other teenager on the arm. "You can go see the Batcave," he says indulgently. "And I'll come over and watch you all play boardgames and eat popcorn, how about that."

He is mildly competitive with school, and if he ends up joining a sports club this year, he might be competitive in that, but in general... he will leave that to Zoi. And Neph. And maybe Jadeite, he's not sure. But Zoi and Neph definitely.

He starts to eat as the two of them talk, and he looks so amused at Hotaru's play by play. "Zoisite is the inventor of the ojo-laugh," he says with his mouth full, holding his hand in front of his mouth so nobody has to see that. "Do it, Zoi!"

Zoisite has posed:
"They will be okay," Zoisite says, and it's just as much for his own benefit as it is for Sailor Charon's, or even Mamoru's. It sounds good, hearing it aloud. Reassuring, even when it's his own voice.

He chews through a bite, silent for a moment, though then he's being prompted to do an evil laugh. His eyebrows draw together. "That's quite good," he says of Charon's. "But I can't just do it unprompted. It comes from the heart, so it needs to be appropriate for the situation."

Like when he comes over and plays super competitive board games.

Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Charon nodded, letting out a soft gasp. "Really? I was taught by the girl in obsidian, who had all the cakes. But... Pluto has been helping me improve it since. And my--" and then she stopped. Her daddy. But that might be saying too much...

Still, she was smiling at least. They were going to have a great new board game player! It would be fun! "I do hope you don't mind house rules, though. I've been teaching Pluto all of the ones from home and she is absolutely terrifying at Risk." Dun dun duuuuun... The challenge has been sent. "Also, I think there is a batman outfit in the stash... and she might have a batcave somewhere. This place is really big."
