Rooftop
Date of Scene: 19 October 2023
Location: Sports Pavilion
Synopsis: Rooftops are always so much fun!
Cast of Characters: Norie Okana, Hinoiri Kirara, Sayaka Miki

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima is sitting on the roof of the dorms. She's sitting on the side of it and looking down. She does not have one of the new rifles yet and she's taking a break from smacking people with heart stealing guns anyways because she accidently shot one of the few 'friends' she has with it.

That made her feel really bad.

So she's being mopey and trying to stay out of everybody's way right now. Her dormmates, her 'friends', everybody's way right now.

She's going to need to eat sooner or later tonight. But that 'eating' isn't happening right now. For right now she's just being her usual sadgirl self in the moonlight.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker appeared on the roof! Via teleporting. Yes, it was MUCH easier than walking... that and like. It wasn't like she could get up her otherwise. She didn't really have the whole.... key to the roof thing. Well, she probably could have flown up here, but... Either way.

She appeared on the roof and glanced over at the girl, wondering who would be out on the roof at...

OH! It was La Crima. The girl she helped get a familiar for. And who she DIDN'T know was the one who shot her with a rifle as nobody had told her. Heh. She actually smiled when she saw her. "Hey, La Crima-chan. You should be careful. If one of the sparkle skirts see you up here they might think you're up to no good and try to fight you." Well, she noticed there was someone up here and decided to check it out soooo... maybe she was up to no good, too!

Sayaka Miki has posed:
That was an all too familiar scenario to Sayaka. Walking around on the ground, and finding herself looking up at a certain someone on a rooftop. Of course, she did not have magic then, so transforming and making her way up is easily done right.

"What are you doing here?" she asks in a rude tone of voice. She is about to ask whether she is looking for a target to steal a soul from when she remembers the warning from Amy and Madoka, and decides not to antagonise her. "You got cursed into being a vampire, right? My friends mentioned that."

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima had no idea who Sunbreaker was. Which is probably for the better. For various reasons. So when Sunbreaker appears she just looks to her side and sighed. "Good." she says softly. "Maybe I deserve it." she says softly as she shifts a little on her perch she's sitting on. She merely looked back down. "What are you doing up here?" she asks.

Then Puella Magi Sayaka Miki comes up and starts blurting out at her.

"What does it look like I'm doing? Staying out of people's way right now." she says with wide eyes.

"Huh?" she asks. "That's right. Who did?" she asks.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker glanced back, getting ready to tear into whoever came up here. Great, a sparkle ski-- Oh. ohhhh. It was that particular sparkle skirt. She narrowed her eyes on the blue haired girl before gesturing towards her. "See? What'd I tell you? And you know, I've been meaning to ask you. How have you been liking your familiar?" she asked before walking to the side of the building and leaning against the edge.

"And none of your business what we're doing, sparkle skirt. We're not attacking anybody. We're just talking. Wanna try arresting us for that now?" she asked with a hmph.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"I am not about to rat them out" is Sayaka's grumpy reply to La Crima. "It was pretty suspicious seeing you here on the roof since that's how I remember you last time." She has taken a good look at her and things are different in a very important way. "You don't have your gun now. I guess you must be hungry. Is that what you are doing, trying to ignore your hunger?"

She turns towards Sunbreaker next. "No, I am not going to try arresting you, if I could even do that", scoffs Sayaka. "Like I said, that was how she attacked last time." She looks down at her blade, figuring out she could give herself a nickname starting from that. She has a Fortissimo hairpin too, so... "I will go by Sharpsong for now. Until I figure out an actual name. Who are you two?"

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima looked back to Sunbreaker. "Mister Squiggles is fine. I've been petting him. He's been being taken care of well." she says neutrally. She looks down again as 'Sharpsong' speaks. She frowns a little. "I don't ignore my hunger. That's dangerous. I'm staying out of everyone's way. Don't worry about it." she says bluntly as she balls up a little, bringing her legs to her chest as she peeks out from behind her knees.

"What are you, the magical police?" she asks bluntly. "I'm not shooting any more hearts out anyways." she says.

"I don't wanna talk about it."

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker cocked an eye at the mention of gun. Oh gosh. La crima wasn't using one of those rifles, was she? Ugh. Please. Don't they all know it's going to blow up in her face? On the other hand... this might be a good way to find out who shot her...

... Nah. That was over. What did she care? It wouldn't happen again.

"Well, good to meet you, Sharpsong. Try to stay out of our way, otherwise you'll get hurt eventually."

She then glanced towards La Crima and smiled. "Mister Squiggles, huh? Let me know if you ever have any problems with him. I don't expect just anybody in obsidian could handle a Kirakirafantastica familiar." She then reached over and gave La Crima a pat on the head. "Its been a late night, though. So I need to get some sleep. Gonna head back to the dusk zone. See yah."

She then teleported away in a flash of fire... heading first to the Dusk zone.

... Then back to her room. She didn't want anyone tracking her from the roof to her room, okay? Not that she thought they could... just in case.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"Of course, I am not the magical police, but last time we met, you shot... people", Sayaka complains. Yes, definitely people.

"If you didn't want to worry about others being on your case about it, maybe you shouldn't have started attacking passersby."

She sighs. She shouldn't start a fight. "Ok, let's take a step back. Nothing is happening, and you are being caught up by your own problems, so I can help you if you want."

She looks at Sunbreaker as she gives her that warning. "I will be fine. Don't do things that will prompt a fight, and you won't have to come out of it with regrets."

"See you around", Sayaka tells Sunbreaker as she announces she is going back. With just one of them, she has a much better handle on the situation.

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima acquires one (1) head pat. She seems grouchy about this as Sunbreaker leaves. "See you around, Sunbreaker." she says.

She then looks at Sayaka and crosseyes. "Huh. I don't remember you." she says. "Ever. Blue." she says. "I mean. Sharpsong. Sorry." she says.

She looks back down to the path in front of the dorms and closes her eyes. "What do you want. Then. I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm not even feeding right now."

"Ask me questions or don't. Attack if you want. I won't fight back." she says quietly, gripping down at the aides of the dorm roof.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka nods. Of course she wouldn't recognise her when even her best friend of a lifetime couldn't until she revealed herself.

"Ever Blue? What's that?" The blue is obvious, but she isn't so monochromatic for "Ever" to be added. "Is that a reference to something?"

She tentatively sits down half a meter away from La Crima. "It sucks being caught in a situation you didn't want. And feeling anguish and nothing else is actually worse than feeling nothing."She puts her sword aside, intertwining her fingers together. "What happened that made you come up here?"

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima cross eyes again. "I mean. I don't remember you ever, Sharpsong." she says. "Don't worry about it." she says as she sighs and wilts a little, slacking as she sighs.

"I just wanted to be out of everyone's way for a bit." she says quietly.

"It's not like I asked to be this." she says quietly.

"What brought you up here? Think I'm up to no good?" she snorts. "I'm done shooting people with those guns for a bit." she says quietly. "As much as I want a pure heart still... I keep thinking." she says quietly.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka shrugs. "Yeah, I am not surprised about you not remembering me."

She looks down at the occasional student walking on campus, and, more rarely, some teachers. "I did actually think you were going to do something, it's a great place to observe people coming and going."

That was her bad, she guesses, even if she still doesn't trust the vampire. She did feel a little bad, but finding willing donors like Madoka and the red magical girl would be better than her current approach.

"Sorry for getting it wrong. But don't you have a secluded place for you stay alone in, the dusk zone, was it?" That was what the other girl called it. "You would avoid misunderstandings that way." And you wouldn't be around potential victims if you change your mind, she doesn't say.

She looks back at the other girl. "If you wanted to be alone, something must have happened, and I am willing to hear you out. That would beat continuing to dwell on it by yourself, wouldn't it?"

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima gets more of a sour look on her face when the Dusk Zone is mentioned.

"It's not a perfect place. And not everything there is friendly towards me." Especially right now, with that dumb Midnight Tokyo Project. She doesn't say, but thinks very hard she looks more sour suddenly, before she relaxes her expression.

She looks back down to the ground and just frowns. "Nothing happened. I wanted to be out of everyone's ways." she repeats. "I've just been thinking anyways about things people have said."

"That if I stole someone's Pure heart to replace mine, I'd just feel bad about it after." she says quietly.

She shifts a bit. "All I do is get in people's ways anyways. People get upset I need to drain people to eat. People get upset when I try to fix myself..." she says with a loud sigh.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Figures a place full of people bent on hurting others for their own ends wouldn't exactly be peaceful or nice, actually. And she doesn't have a corner for herself, apparently. "I get why you wouldn't want to go there. You don't get lots of friendly people there, right?"

"The friends I talked about were willing to give you a part of their energy. Why don't you follow up on that and switch to asking for magical people willing to do the same instead of attacking others? You wouldn't get in anyone's way like that." She takes a pause, looking at La Crima for a second or two. "You can do it with me too."

"They are probably right", she comments. "If you were a normal person before that happened to you, of course you would feel things again. It's quite obvious", she comments a bit harshly.

"How do you manage yourself around people? When you aren't being gloomy or aggressive? You are a student here, right?" She looks the right age, and why would she go all the way to this roof if she wasn't intent on attacking anyone? She had to have already been here.

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima scowls. "When people are food..." she says quietly. "I can't just rely on draining you sparkleskirts." she says. She says. "What if you're tired or spent from fighting other things? What if you need your energy?" she says sharply. "It...it's like I'm just some shark in a tank and you just want to feed me so I don't eat the other fishes." she says a little angry.

She looks away a moment. "Normal is subjective. But I could laugh. and smile. and feel things besides this existential dread all the time." she says. She sulks a bit more.

"and I could hug people. and pet animals. and not worry about my proximity to everyone because I drain on contact." she says quietly.

She looks away. "Why do you even care? I handle myself poorly. And there's nothing I can do about it because it's so easy to get angry. Or upset. or sad or depressed or..or a host of things." she says angrily.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"So what?" exclaims Sayaka. "Do you want to ignore a solution that is provided to you just because you feel looked down upon?" She shakes her head. "You don't know her, but my friend is the kind of person that can't help but worry about everyone she meets, and I care about what she does and why!" She looks towards her sword, still laying next to her.

"If I simply wanted to get rid of a threat, I would have started a fight the moment I arrived, or the moment your colleague left. Wake up, and stop dwelling on the darkness you feel inside! If we offer to help, it's because we feel like you should be helped too, not just cast aside." Sayaka is glaring intensely at La Crima now.

"I am sorry about what you lost, but it's time to move on and accept people are willing to help you", the bluenette answers plainly to the cursed girl. "You did not choose this, but you know what you can choose? Either you antagonise people further, or you accept that we sparkleskirts want to help!" She scowls at the term. Seriously, is that what people in the dusk zone call them?

"As for why I care, it's because helping you is the right thing to do! Right now it's you who needs help, tomorrow it might be Flame-Mane's turn, the day after it might be mine. So, my suggestion? Accept it." She is looking at La Crima with an annoyed expression still.

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima scoffs "It's so easy isn't it? I should just take energy. I should ask..." she says as she crosses her arms and looks away. "All the help. It's..it's never the small things. It's always 'I wanna fix you' or 'I wanna force feed you.'." she says angrily, as if remembering something.

"So stop that, and let me be. Everything comes with a damn price and whether I like it or not I'm having to pay the price to even be my damn self when I wanna be." she says.

"I accept you want to help, but--- excuse me flame-mane?" she asks with a dumb look.

"Do you mean. Sunbreaker?" she asks.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"What would these small things be to you?" Sayaka asks, a bit ticked off by part of her point being supposedly ignored. Seriously, this is not about just her needing help, only because she is the one who needs it now!

She counts to 10 before continuing. "You got the short straw, yes... So what will you do with it?" She doesn't know what to say to her. She tried putting her best speech earlier, and it failed. She is best at helping people from tangible threats, not like this.

"If that's her name. The girl with the long flaming hair that was here earlier. Anybody needs help, and nobody is trying to force-feed you. You have the choice, I already said that. If you are going to say no, that's going to be it."

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima looks increasingly unhappy as Sayaka talks.

"I'm saying no!" she says, keeping her arms crossed. "At least from you. I'll go to...to Amy-chan first. At least she doesn't confront me like this!" she says.

She frowns. "I mean you came up here because you thought we we're gonna attack people." she frowns.

"I'm just up here to be miserable away from everyone for a bit. It's like I'm not even allowed to be what I am.." she says angrily still.

"People need me to smile. or take their energy, instead of someone elses. WHat's the big deal." she says.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"You hurt me out of the blue, of course I am ticked off!" Sayaka blurts out. Gosh, why can't she understand... Oh, right, this transformation. "However I am trying to get past that, and lend you my hand."

She gets up, doing just that, knowing what would happen if Norie took it. She takes a deep breath. "I will promise to stay calmer, if that's the only reason you have to refuse my help."

"Yes, I came here because I was worried about people being in danger, but instead of doing that, I chose to talk it out." Sayaka starts impulsively fiddling with her hairpin. "And we want you to smile, because for obvious reasons, you can't be content with things if you are miserable."

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima listens to Sayaka with a soured expression.

"I can't smile." she says angrily. "What part of can't do you guys not understand!?" she says. "If I could fake it, I would, just get you, my family, everyone off my damn back because that's what it comes down to, always with...with you sparkleskirts." she says super angrily, resting back to that term of 'sparkleskirts'.

"All I feel is miserable, awful things, of course I'm miserable!" she says.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"Well, you said you had no trouble accepting help from Amy", Sayaka replies back, not making the connection with the Amy she knows to due to Veil, and now you say you want no help from anyone. You should make up your mind." Sayaka retracts her hand.

"I am going to go now. For what is worth, my offer is still valid if we meet again. I don't want you to smile for personal gratification, but so you can benefit from it." She delays recovering her sword, just in case La Crima has something more to says, but otherwise she jumps off the roof.
