Additional Nanoha Origin/Magic System Info

From Radiant Heart MUSH

Like most themes here, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha does require some adaptation to suit the cross-theme nature of a MUSH as well as things explicit to Radiant Heart MUSH's theme itself. The Origin/Backstory parts of this document assume you've watched the first two seasons of content in some form.

General Information

Primary note is that anything outside of the original Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's, and the first two movies which cover the same time period, should be considered at most a place to mine for ideas, and remember that MUSH Canon always takes precedence over even main canon.

A chief note is that the TSAB has no ability to reach to Earth. While in the MGLN anime and movies the Artha and similar ships are shown in space around Earth, on this MUSH Earth is not in an area of physical space that the TSAB worlds connect to, and thus they would have to cross Dimensional Space to access it - a feat rendered impossible by (magic plotstuff) Earth's unique aura. This is clear on the MUSH as the Artha, straying too close to Earth's Dimensional Danger Zone in pursuit of dangerous Lost Logia (the Jewel Seeds), was ripped apart, pieces of it falling scattered to different locations and times. At current awareness, there is no way to use traditional MGLN magic to traverse away from Earth, so characters arriving here are stranded permanently (with the exception of Rare Major Plot Events).

Lost Logia that come within the Dimensional Space of Earth tend to get pulled to Tokyo - meaning we have a disproportionate amount of artifacts of Ancient Belka and other fallen civilizations here. Additionally because of the accident/incident with the Artha, Intelligent Devices and the rare Armed Device can be found here (and they may have been here a while since the Artha broke up in Time-Space.)

Magic System

Like all other magic on Radiant Heart MUSH, Nanoha Magic is subject to the requirements of being emotionally driven, as well as the effects of the Fade; adult antagonists like Precia Testarossa have to rely on Dark Energy to continue to be magical, and non-antagonist adults like Lindy lose their magic.
