Radiant Heart MUSH is a consensual roleplay environment. You can read more about what this means in the ‘Consensual Roleplay’ policy document. Type ‘News Consensual Roleplay’ to view that. However, Consensual Roleplay doesn’t mean you have the right to do what you want your character to do and escape the consequences of your actions.

For example, your character hits the badguy in the face. You cannot, afterwards, say, OOCly ‘I don’t consent for you to hit back’. You hit him in the face first, preferably with his OOC consent. Your action has a consequence that he is now going to react to that. This is an example of ‘In-Character Actions Have In-Character Consequences’. All actions have a consequence of some sort, for good or bad, and you should be a good sport about dealing with the reactions your own actions cause.

As a rule, this rarely escalates to death. (see ‘News Death’ for more information on Condeath.).
