She thought back to the encounter in the gardens earlier. A normal person would had been comforted by a hug. Then why did it feel like she was ''attacked''? Why did her defenses go off like that. Hopefully that girl asking all the questions keeps to herself next time they meet. Ugh. She hopes there isn't a next time.

Date of Cutscene: 30 July 2023
Location: Okana Residence
Synopsis: Norie Okana tries to prove she's normal. (again.)
Thanks to: Ikiko, Tori!
Cast of Characters: Norie Okana

Norie Okana left the Botanical Gardens through the front gate. She then got onto the bus. Normal people took the bus. They didn't... didn't go to some strange place in a puff of smoke. Normal people got onto the bus, sat down on a seat and rode it all the way to where they wanted. They walked out to their home and didn't just travel miles across Tokyo in a blink of an eye.

Norie walked into her home through the front door. Normal people did that, right? She was stopped by her mom. Another embarassing appointment with her therapist on Friday. Great. She thought. Normal people went to doctors and nurses and social workers like that, right. But normal people usually got some sort of benefit to it. She left without saying much else to her room upstairs.

She stopped at her brother's door and stared a bit. Normal people might say hello. She didn't want to. So she continued to her room and locked the door. A normal person might not do that inside their family home, but Norie wanted to be left alone. It was time for more experiemntation.

This involved popping in a DVD. A sad animated movie. She felt sad but...it wasn't for the right reasons. She didn't want to think about it harder than she had to. The next few hour, she switched to a comedy anime. A girl causes chaos with a boy she likes across schools in a string of misunderstandings. She didn't find it funny. She tried to. But nothing came to her. A normal person, would had been laughing at that. She used to laugh at that anime. Why couldn't she now?

She thought back to the encounter in the gardens earlier. A normal person would had been comforted by a hug. Then why did it feel like she was attacked? Why did her defenses go off like that. Hopefully that girl asking all the questions keeps to herself next time they meet. Ugh. She hopes there isn't a next time.

"Why can't I be normal, anymore?" she asked herself.
