Scene #1070: Sneaking Around (For Good!)

Adrien Agreste	As soon as Usagi mentions that Naru isn't around, a gentle knock comes to the door of Usagi and Naru's dorm. Adrien lingers in the hall. In a cheery voice he informs, "It's me, Usagi-chan!" So that she doesn't question too much about the sudden visit. Sort of. It was a sudden visit after all even if he had just texted .2 seconds ago. He's bouncing a bit energetically on his feet casting quick glances up and down the hall to make sure there's no Naru about to sneak up on him.
Usagi Tsukino	Usagi's flopped back on her bed, Luna sleeping on a pillow nearby, wondering how Adrien will respond to her teasing when there's a knock on the door, and - oh, well, that was one way to respond! "Hold on a sec, I'll let you in!" Luna cracks an eye open, casting the door a suspicious look, but otherwise doesn't stir as Usagi shimmers down the ladder from the top bunk and bounces over to the door. "Come in, the coast is clear. Whatcha wanna know about Naru-chan? That's why you're here, right?"
Adrien Agreste	"It is, yes, thank you. Sorry for just hopping by but..." Adrien flashes a rather toothy grin while raking a hand back through his blonde hair mussing it a bit. Just a bit. There was enough product in his hair it sloooowly moves back to it's usual state he kept it in. It's a model thing. One last quick glance is shot around the hall before he steps in with a light clearing of his throat. "I wanted to get som advice. I mean, kind of. I know Valentine's Day is done differently here than other countries so I wasn't sure." He turns pleading eyes toward Usagi to ask, "Should I get her a gift or is that going to be 'wrong' for the holiday?"
Usagi Tsukino	"No worries, people drop by all the time," Usagi flaps a hand and then flops herself down into her desk chair, gesturing for Adrien to take a seat if he wants. The way his hair slooooooowly moves back to its original state makes her want to laugh a little, but with the power of self-control (and biting down on the inside of her cheek), she holds it in. The problem? The problem does get a giggle, though. "I don't think there'd be a ''problem'' if you got her a gift. Usually its us girls who give boys chocolates on Valentine's Day, and boys give return gifts on White Day, but sometimes I've heard of boys giving return gifts on the same day - and you're foreign, anyway." She says this in the same tone she'd say 'and you've got a cheat code, anyway'. "Really, if you want to, you could get away with doing this the same way you'd do back home; it's not like Naru-chan would mind."
Adrien Agreste	Adrien Agreste lets out a little breath of relief at the assurance even though he rather suspected he was just overthinking things to begin with. "Okay, good. I just didn't want to do that if it would be something that would be... I don't know, embarassing for her?" His nose scrunches a little at his own thoughts and he blurts out, "I'm worrying too much aren't I and you have a cat." Sometimes he's observant, other times it takes a moment. Now that the 'main issue' had been addressed his gaze had slid past Usagi toward where Luna was lounging. Sure, technically he had a 'cat' too but Plagg was a kwami. While he had cat features he wasn't really... a real cat. Really. And Chrono's familiar that he'd found was a bird. Equally pretty but not really petable like, say, a real cat. Before he can think of how sily he may look he's crooning out, "Hello pretty lady! Are you keeping an eye on Usagi-chan? Can I pet you?" He pauses and looks toward Usagi realizing he's talking straight to a cat in front of her. At the very lealst he didn't do a baby voice. "Uh. I like cats," he finally remarks looking sheepish.
Usagi Tsukino	"I don't think it'd be embarrassing at all," Usagi says honestly, "I mean, you want to give her chocolates even before you're like, 'supposed' to, because you like her. That's pretty sweet, I think." And then - She's ''definitely giggling, and Luna is definitely peering down at Adrien with surprise and vague interest. "I do. That's Luna, and she was trying to get me to take a nap with her, earlier. Don't be surprised if she -" And then Luna hops down, landing on Usagi's head, earning an 'oof!', before leaping over to land on ''Adrien's'' head. Hopefully his hair products can handle that. "...if she does that." Luna is investigating, sniffing daintily at Adrien, making herself comfortable on his head and shoulders, inspecting him.
Adrien Agreste	Adrien Agreste flashes anothe thankful smile at Usagi's encouragement. "Oh, more than just chocolate. I've already got something picked out for her--" he begins with his hand dipping into his pocket to pull out his phone. Just in time for Luna to perk up, and leap onto Usagi. Then him. He diligently holds still with a laugh not seeming to mind at all even if he might give a pre-emptive wince at any use of claws. No complaint though, just acceptance. "Oh, and she's a black cat! They're the best," he says matter-of-fact without any room for agument on the matter. Almost as if he was proud to make that declaration. "Hello, Luna, nice to meet you! I'm sure my hair doesn't smell all that good to a cats nose with all the product I put in it," he adds chuckling. He hadn't forgotten that he was going to show Usagi something on his phone though so he pulls up the photos quickly. "This is what I have so far. A new coffee mug, I'm thinking of getting some balloons and flowers to go with it, and I thought I could fill it with chocolate." The mug in question is a white and pink mug with a handle painted to look like a donut with sprinkles. The mug reads 'I'm D<3NUTS for you!' Because of course it had to be punny. While showing it off his free hand lifts to offer his knuckles up for Luna to sniff if she chooses. And maybe, JUST maybe, a little bit of a scritch if she allows him. He doesn't push his luck though.
