Adrien Agreste Another school day has risen and begun. The morning classes were over with which meant it was time for a good break and some food. Naturally those that were 'too cool' to hang around the school headed off campus, but so to do those that may not want to deal with the current offerings at the cafeteria. Sometimes you just wanted some good junk food.

Wearing his crisp, immaculate, well-kept and spotless school uniform that he only altered enough to unbutton the topmost of his shirt collar, and loosen his tie, Adrien Agreste heads into the familiar konbini with food on the mind. It was unfortunately a little busy. As soon as he steps inside he's face to face with another pair of students on their way out, causing him to sidestep quickly. "Oh excuse me, sorry. Enjoy your lunch!" The sentiment is offered with a flash of teeth as he grins heading further in.
Ivy Henlein As it turns out, Ivy was running late on her first day of class -- some admin-related stuffs that she had to take care of. By the time she was done with that all, it was close to lunch time, so it was suggested that she visit a shop close to the school and, incidentally, popular with other students.

So, this is how the blonde girl, clearly a foreigner, is already at the FaM-Mart when other students start arriving -- and she's wearing their school uniform!

For her part, Ivy's taking her time reading labels -- she's still not used to reading Japanese, so she's taking it slow to make sure she doesn't get something she doesn't actually want. So far, she's got a bag of chips, a couple of bottles of soda, and a pack of buns in her shopping basket, and she's looking at the pre-packaged foods, both the ready-to-eat and the 'nuke it for a bit' kind, trying to figure out what she wants.
Mie Kitamura     Food! Yes! This is perhaps the best time of day for Mie. There's so much learning in school of facts and figures that her poor dragon brain could barely understand that it's truly a joy to take a break from it all and sit down to eat something tasty. Like sushi! Always a fan of raw meat she found that this was the acceptable version, and not, say, tearing into raw steak. At least not out in public.

She, too, is dressed in her school uniform, the tans and browns of it a sharp contrast to her bright green hair and red eyes. She's got her school backpack slung over her back, ready to review her next class so she won't feel so terribly behind.

"I suggest the bento," she tells Ivy, a bit of annoyance in her voice. Ivy is standing right where she wants to be to pick up her own food, and the other girl is dawdling in indecision.
Ikuto Tsukiyomi About a block from the konbini, a catboy's eyes briefly passed over a tough-looking sort in a rather basic suit that practically shouted "low-ranking enforcer." Ikuto's eyes shifted to Yoru, the Chara riding on his shoulder like usual. "I see him. He's got friends sitting in that eatery too, further in. He sees me. Fighting out in the street isn't going to go anywhere good." Yoru looked around and saw a boy in a Radiant Heart uniform entering a building. "Over there, Ikuto! He's from the academy!"

Ikuto turned on his heel and started walking, fast in the direction Yoru gestured at. The tough guy who'd definitely seen Ikuto by this point got up and was starting to follow, but seeing so many students in the direction the catboy was headed seemed to have the effect the pair had hoped for and he angrily went and sat back down with a "Tch!" while waving off the other suits. "We'll get him some other time..."

Ikuto quickly slipped into the store, moving away from the doorway rather quickly and gently bumping into a younger blonde girl who seems quite interested in the items on a shelf. "Sorry!" he and Yoru call out at the same time. Ikuto glares at Yoru. "You don't have to apologize for me."
Adrien Agreste Adrien Agreste looks over to the bentos realizing there's already a crowd there. That doesn't stop him from stepping closer, a bit behind Mie to leeeean to the side attempting to peer around her and Ivy so that he can see what's on offer today as well. Mie's suggestion earns a glance to the side at her catching the tone of annoyance that was just slightly there as she waits her turn.

"The Katsudon is good if you like pork or can eat it, but so is the salmon," he offers in an attempt to be helpful as well. "If you need help finding any...?" He starts to offer as he realizes she's taking time to read the packages. Maybe if he could assist it'd help keep anyone from getting upset.

The thought is dashed aside when Ikuto comes in bumping into people. Why? Because tail and ears and floating fairy mascot.

Adrien just stares with a slow grin. "Everyone fe-line fine?" He quips before catching himself.
Ivy Henlein Ivy was pretty focused on what she was doing, and didn't realize someone was behind her. She startles, jumping a little bit. "Oh... thank you!", she says, though she pronounces it all well and clearly enough, she has an accent that speaks volumes of that she's an American -- one who's obviously learned Japanese, but never really had the chance to communicate with native speakers.

She points at the three different bentos available, exactly what she happened to be looking at. "I'm having a little trouble reading what these labels say...", she admits. "I can't tell what the difference is between these three," she explains, spaking to Mie. "Katsudon...", she starts to reply, this time to Adrien, then eeps as she's suddenly bumped into.

Ivy clearly doesn't realize, yet, that it's 1) a cat boy and, 2) that there's a 'fairy' on his shoulder.
Mie Kitamura     Mie blinks when a catboy further clogs up the aisle that she's in. This isn't exactly something she had expected to see and it's rather quite confusing. Her eyes narrow suspiciously at him that is until she sees Yoru. "Fairy!" she growls, her tone accusatory. "Even here, in this sacred establishment you continue to bother me. Blast these Pretty Cures. They're all over the place."

She clenches her fists to contain her rage at the offending creature, and closes her eyes, taking deep breaths, trying to calm herself down. It wouldn't do any good starting a fight here. It would break her cover and, moreover, most likely destroy the FamMart. That just would not do.

Getting a hold of herself she clears her throat and shakes out her hands. "That is, my, what a curious creature you have on your shoulder."
Ikuto Tsukiyomi Ikuto seems slightly off-balance at now being around three younger students, at least one of whom can see Yoru and his own physical changes from the Chara Change. He flicks an ear in annoyance and huffs in response to Adrien's pun as Yoru hears Ivy talking about food and floats over, inspecting the bentos. "You should get the ones that look like they'll taste good, nya!" the excited little cat fairy says while looking at what the girl has in her basket already. He tilts his head and looks up at her. "You don't have enough junk food in here, nya! Where's the candy, sweet bread, and-"

Ikuto cuts him off, shaking his head. "Yoru we don't even know if she can see and hear you." He looks to Ivy apologetically. "I'm sorry for bumping into you. I was in a bit of a rush to get off the street. If you hear an annoying little voice in your ear please ignore it." Then he looks around at the other students in the aisle. "I'm Ikuto. Ikuto Tsukiyomi. Have I stumbled into a secret konbini club here?"

Ikuto gives Mie a slightly confused look upon hearing her initial reaction to Yoru. That's two fellow students in this strange gathering who can see magic. "Such a harsh tone ill-suits your refined appearance. I don't know what this has to do with pedicures though. I'm just Ikuto, and he's Yoru."

"And you..." Ikuto turns to Adrien now. "You smell like a cat."
Adrien Agreste "Oh that's easy enough." Adrien glances at the bentos pointed out that Ivy was having issue with reading over them quickly. Even if he hadn't been here a good half year already, he had tutors who had helped him in Paris to learn to read as well as speak. "The one on the left is tonkatsu, the middle is saba which is mackerel, and the last one is an omelette. Japanese omelette, it's folded over and over again. Pretty tasty as well."

His gaze skirts over toward Mie's reaction looking a bit concerned. Just a bit. "Sorry, we're probably hogging all the space. Was there a certain one you wanted? I can grab it for you real quick." The offer is hopefully going to calm her down though he wasn't really sure why she was muttering. Something set her off.

Then.... Then Ikuto is looking at him claiming he smells of cat.

The blonde looks down at himself with a hand lifting to run fingers over the lapel of his jacket. "Do I? Sorry, my girlfriend's roommate has a cat. I must have gotten some fur on me when I stopped by to visit this morning. I didn't realize I smelled though." The last is mumbled a bit awkwardly looking just a tad red faced.
Ivy Henlein Someone said the word 'fairy'. Ivy's hand goes up to the back of her neck, fingers touching the brass chain seen there, just for a moment -- she's wearing some kind of necklace that is pretty much completely hidden by her uniform.

When Ikuto speaks to Yoru and then to her, her eyes follow the conversation -- it's clear she *can* see and hear the fairy. "I- I'm Ivy", she says, in her heavily-accented Japanese. "It's nice to meet you, Ikuto and Yoru...", she adds. When she greets it, she looks right -at- the fairy, too, making it plain and obvious that she -can- see it.

Apparently, she can 'see magic', too.

She reaches out to pick up the bento with pork in it, putting it into her basket. "Thanks", she says to Adrien, as she steps back and out of the way so that others can pick out something for themselves.
Mie Kitamura     "Not pedicure it's..." Mie stops herself, realizing that it's probably better for her cover to just let the matter drop. "You know what? Nevermind. You're right, though. I ''do'' have a refined appearance." As if to prove it she does a little hairflip with a smug smile.

"I'll take the salmon sushi," she tells Adrien. "And the seaweed salad." And then, almost as if an afterthought she adds, "Thank you."

And since it looks like introductions are happening she straightens her back. "And ''I'm'' Mie Kitamura, 8th year. It's a pleasure." the 'for you' is heavily implied from her imperious tone.
Ikuto Tsukiyomi And now comes the part where he feels bad. Ikuto tilts his head at Adrien and says, "No I don't mean you smell like -another- cat. I mean if I wasn't seeing a human in front of me right now with my eyes I would assume you're a cat from your scent. It's not a bad thing! Do you turn into a cat or something? Are you actually a cat?" He eyes the younger boy with suspicion, hoping this is helping lighten the mood and not making the poor guy feel worse.

To Ivy he grins. "Nice to meet you, Ivy. Are you new around here? Your Japanese is pretty good for...an American? That's what the name Ivy makes me think, at least. Huh..so you can see him too. You don't look like the usual sort of person who can see these things."

To Mie he smirks. He isn't going to say anything outright, but he gives her a look of acknowledgement. Perhaps even of understanding. He's met people like her before, and spent a lot of time around them. "I think I get where you're coming from Kitamura-sama, and it's a pleasure to meet you." There is no condescension in his use of the honorific; the catboy doesn't mind playing along with someone thinking a bit highly of themselves, at least until they prove undeserving of such consideration.
Adrien Agreste Adrien Agreste swallows a bit hard when Ikuto continues to talk about the cat smell. His hands lift a bit shaking his head quickly. "Er, I'm sorry? I really don't know what you mean?" His gaze skirts away quickly. Since names are being given he adds in with the others, "I'm Adrien Agreste. I moved here from France a few months ago."

Mie's request has him stepping to the side to quickly scoop up the requested few items. The boxes are offered out in her direction only to snag one for himself. The Katsudon that he'd been craving all day.

"It, ah, it's nice to meet you all," he adds a bit awkwardly.
