Hinoiri Kirara Sunbreaker was, well, working in preparation for Project Eclipse. It was a few days before Valentine's day so she was throwing herself into her work, as she do. Eclipse trucks were standing around, setting up little speakers throughout the area, small towers, a stage... Whatever Easter was setting up, it looked like it was a makeshift concert of sorts. At least, that was what most mundanes would believe.

Youma, though, were in the region. Helping to setup work. And every so often there'd be a song played, just a few beats. One of Utau's... testing the equipment, one might say.

The dark energy suppressed, however, for the most part. It wasn't time.... yet.

But soon.
Kyouka Inai     There's nothing to alert anyone to anything out of the ordinary- other than Obsidian doing Obsidian things, of course. But to the Obsidian workers, nothing seems unusual.

At least, until Sunbreaker is making one of her trips around, whether supervising or moving from one spot to another. Quite out of nowhere, a voice addresses her- a feminine voice, though somewhat deep-toned and mature sounding.

"Quite a lot of work going on around here. I'd have thought you'd try to be more... subtle."

A glance would reveal a wolf-life creature sitting on a low wall alongside the street. The size of a small dog or a very large cat, it's fur is black and white, mostly black with a white crown-like shape on its forehead and white zebra-like stripes down its flanks. It sits upright, regarding Sunbreaker, though with no other indication that it is the one to whom the voice belongs.
Hinoiri Kirara Sunbreaker paused and, slowly, lowered her clipboard. She glanced over at the... mascot? Pet? Talking. Mascot. Or maybe it was another bloody hammer. "Ah. Subtlety is generally for those who have something to hide. At this point? We have little to no need for such things. I understand the confusion, though."

Not to mention.... well... this was the trial. Better to make sure it was well defended and prepared than to rush the job and have it get blown up too quickly. "And you are..." She paused, looking the cat up and down. "... You're part of that Daifuku's team, aren't you? Oh, no. Wait. Wolf, right? Sailor Moon's noble hunting hound?" she asked with a teasing tone. "Or maybe a friend of Kyubey's? Don't think you're beyond punting, you'd hardly be the first to endure such."
Kyouka Inai     The creature doesn't look particularly threatened, or even put out by the random guessing and minor threats. She tilts her wolf-like head, though her ears are bigger and snout pointier than any wolf from earth. When she speaks, the voice doesn't sound telepathic but audible, yet her mouth doesn't move in any noticeable way.

"Funny, that you seem to be so ignorant of those sharing your world with you. And you hope to conquer it someday? A bit of advice... know thy enemy. And thy friends, for what it's worth. If you have any."

Intelligent eyes study Sunbreaker a moment longer. "Well, I suppose I can't blame you for not recognizing my kind. We've been... absent for a few years. Ever since my predecessor was brutally murdered. By a colleague of yours, in fact. Nasty business, but humans are very unpredictable. It's part of what makes them such good warriors."
Hinoiri Kirara Sunbreaker gave a shrug, glancing back at her clipboard. "Funny that you seem so ignorant of those sharing this world with you. Because you've already said three things about me that literally anyone who had been here more than thirty-five seconds could tell you. Not my world, not looking to conquer and no, I don't do friends. Judging by the fact nobody gave you the deets on who I am, I'm guessing you don't really have any either."

"Not human, either. Really, you must be out of touch. You're just batting a cool oh-for-five today. Colleague, colleague and..." She looked at the creature and... made a face. "... Wolfrun? You're... you're not like... the big bad wolf's predecessor or anything, are you? Because I'd realllllllly rather not get in the way of the big guy's next meal. Ew."
Kyouka Inai     "I'm not concerned about who's sharing the world with me." The creature replies, unruffled. "I've only just arrived. I suppose I'll learn in time. Or not. It's really not my concern."

"And no.. nothing so gauche as that, I promise you. I'm speaking of Ms. Yuuhi.. I take it you're familiar. She's something of a big shot in your organization, or so I've been told. Must be quite the place, to give such a position to a murderer. Then again," She glances around at the youma and such. "I suppose it fits the profile."
Hinoiri Kirara Sunbreaker gave a shrug. "Eh. So, what, you come here just to judge people, without knowing anything about who they are, or what they're doing or, buck, even what species they are? Quality control really let you slip through the cracks, didn't they?" she asked, glancing over at Corona again.

"Ms... Yuuhi? Wh-- oh. Ohhhhhh. Her. Yeah. She's pretty cool. And who knows? Maybe your predecessor had it coming. Probably got too close to the sun, as it were. And we're all a bunch of big, bad murderers here. She helps with that. Which... begs the question."

"What makes you think I won't murder you, too?"
Kyouka Inai     "It's not my job to judge anyone." The creature says, smugly. It's true- it's just a hobby. "I'm here on my own business... but I'm interested in the one who killed my predecessor. It's fairly uncommon, you know, for a magical girl to kill her own mascot. I can hardly think of any other instances. It must take a special kind of monster to murder someone who gave you power, guided you in its use, and was a friend to you along the way." She is sitting very still, barely moving aside from the occasional twitch of her skinny, cat-like tail.

"It's less that I am somehow offended by the incident and more that I think it makes a fascinating case study. Consider yourself a primary source." She suddenly jumps down from the wall, slowly stalking along the pavement of the sidewalk. "I'm not afraid to die in the line of my duty. But I doubt that will occur today. You don't strike me as half the monster she is."
Hinoiri Kirara Sunbreaker gave a light snort. "Good, cause you're not very good at it."

She wasn't listening that closely... until the mention of... killing someone who gave her power, guided her... and was a 'friend' along the way. She glanced up at Corona again. "Really? A friend? Seems... like she didn't feel that way. Or maybe that's just how they do friendship on this planet. Probably better than a fishbowl..."

"I'm not exactly close personal buddies with Ms. Yuuhi, though. So I'm not sure why you'd assume I was a primary source. I--" One of the youma interupted her and she sighed, glancing towards it. "How hard is it to... three feet up, two feet out. You have a ruler, use it!" she snapped.

She then glanced back to Corona. "You're probably right. I'm not a murderer and, frankly, I'm still not sure how to qualify you mascots. 'People' or 'positive youma'. I take it whatever sparkleskirt thing Miss Yuuhi was a part of, you're looking to make new ones of them? Let me guess... I qualify? To..." Pause. "What even was she? Hope it's better than something silly like 'Pretty Cure' or 'Geode Girls'. At least the Sailor Orbital Bodies group sounds almost threatening."
Kyouka Inai     Corona looked mostly disinterested in whatever Sunbreaker was saying.. at least until the girl guesses that she might be qualified to be part of whatever 'sparkleskirt' agenda Corona happens to be pushing. This is met with a peal of cackling laughter from the beast, who squints its eyes in what must be a form of mirth.

"You? Oh, no hunny. That's cute. I'm sorry.. the Lux Tenebrae Gems are reserved for those with the potential for greatness. The worthy few. No, I'm afraid you are both past your prime and distinctly underqualified. But don't worry.. most are. It's no shame to be.. average."

She shakes her lupine head, leaping back up to the wall after travelling a few feet down the sidewalk. "No, based on my understanding of the situation, Ms. Yuuhi murdered my predecessor for.. convenience. He was merely an obstacle to her. After all she did for him. You best be careful." She casts a look over one furry shoulder. "If she starts to see you the same way."
Hinoiri Kirara Sunbreaker blinked a few times. Average? She was... average. The was an eye twitch. Then she sighed. "I see. Very well." She held up her right hand's index finger and muttered something. A moment later a dozen or so little tiny balls of fire appeared. Like fireflies. They buzzed around for a moment. "My apologies," Sunbreaker said. "I guess I made a mistake. I believed, perhaps, you were worth speaking to and wasting my time on. Please vacate the premises immediately or I will show you out."

And if Corona didn't leave, the little 'fireflies' would buzz around and then fly AT her. Particularly, her flank. None of them would be fatal... but it would likely leave her flank singed, hairless and launch her a few inches each time towards the direction of 'off our property'.

Oh, she was going to have SUCH a couple of words with Fuyuko later about this. Average. AVERAGE? She'd show ALL of them potential for 'greatness'. She was SORA'S protege... even if she'd been dismissed. Abandoned. Replaced.

There were none greater than her. And she would show this world and any other. Project Eclipse started soon and then they'd all understand just how brilliant she was.

She stormed off to the coffee table, grabbed her 'World's greatest employee' mug and drank some apple juice. Stupid wolf mascots. 'Unworthy'. BAH! BAH SHE SAID!
Kyouka Inai     Corona does not seem concerned by the little fireflies buzzing around Sunbreaker's hand. But when the girl does send them buzzing at her, the wolf-like creature merely jumps off the other side of the wall and disappears, as if she were never there to begin with.

But the echo of her mocking laughter can be heard, seemingly from nowhere, like a cheshire cat. It seems to follow Sunbreaker for a good little while after the creature herself has departed.
