Ami Mizuno "This is the dress I'm going to wear. I tried it on awhile ago and the girls talked me into getting it in case of a formal occasion. Luckily one did come up." Of course Ami would need an reason to justify such a fancy purchse. Even when she did try to be fashionable, there was every day wear and there was this.

The photo she was showing Zoisite is on the phone she handed over to him completely not caring that he now had her cellphone in hand. Her attention was shifting to glance at some of the stores they walk by curiously, but with little actual interest in what was in most of them.

"I'll need some new earrings of course, and maybe a necklace. I considered a tiara," she adds stealing an amused look back toward Zoisite, "But that seems a bit much."
Zoisite As he accepts the phone, Zoisite has no intention of doing anything nefarious with it. Truly! He may not be the nicest person in the world but he understands basic respect, like not scrolling through someone else's picture album. At least someone he likes. Ami definitely fits into that category.

"Earrings are a must," Zoisite agrees as he contemplates the picture, relying on his peripheral vision to navigate around the mall. Because the dress is obviously more important. He does eventually hand the phone back to Ami, once the picture is imprinted on his mind. "I would say large earrings and small necklace, but you could also do the reverse if you'd be more comfortable."

He pauses, slowing his steps to consider some very shiny things in a store window. It's a proper jewelry store, the kind of place that sells things with actual diamonds. Which is probably beyond their price range, but there's no reason not to stop and admire for a little bit.
Ami Mizuno Ami Mizuno takes the phone back to slide into her purse without a second thought. Her hand does lift to her ears at mention of large earrings seeming to consider the options that were presented. "I typically only wear studs or small earrings. I can try something larger but I don't think I'd want too big in any case. Something tasteful and classic, but still pretty."

As their steps slow to a halt so that he can admire the diamonds in the window she looks them over a moment thoughtfully. "Let's look inside," she suggests with a little lift of her hand to tug at his sleeve breifly. Right before stepping toward the entrance letting that little touch fall away again. The cost of diamonds doesn't seem to bother her.

"If we don't find anything we like here we should visit Osaka-P Jewelers. Naru-chan's mother owns it."
Zoisite Zoisite leans back from his casual perusal of the shop window. "We'll find something that suits you," he says, sounding confident. Not that he ever sounds anything less than, of course, but this feels very much in his court at the moment.

He straightens up at the tug, and then nods once as he follows Ami towards the entrance, hands tucked into his pockets.

The shop is your standard jeweler fare, with glass display cases as far as the eye can see, and Zoisite immediately pauses to look at a selection of rings. Mostly wedding bands. He lifts his gaze and moves on, attention dragged to a display case more suited to their goals today, though the multi-tiered necklace is much too... well, much for Ami. Even if it is ''very'' glittery.
Ami Mizuno Ami Mizuno doesn't even glance in the direction of engagement or couples rings. That was not what she was here for, nor something she felt an overwhelming pull toward. At least he's spared her fussing over ring size or something equally time consuming.

Instead she veers toward some of the blue gem necklaces to look them over with her hand lifting to hover above the glass case. Not touching but *deciding* as her eyes rove over each offering with a finger pausing to mark which has held her interest long enough for a second look.

"The neckline is straight and it has a bit of a geometric feel to it, so I think something similar in jewelry to match... Oh, what about this one?"

The finger rests just below a pendant with a princess cut blue topaz and diamonds. It's a bit 'simple' but it was glittery as well and there were similar earrings nearby in case someone wanted to make a set of them. The price tag is a bit much of course.

"Should I try it on?"
Zoisite The glance at the rings had been a passing fancy, as Zoisite at least outwardly pretends to be above such things. That might not be the whole truth but it is the front he presents. So he doesn't linger.

Instead he goes for something outlandishly extravagant, his eyes widening slightly in appreciation, but Ami rightly redirects him to something simpler. "It's nice," he says, though he doesn't sound particularly moved; a case of their tastes just being different.

Still, he agrees to the idea of trying it on with a quick nod of his head, saying, "It'd be best if we had the dress with us, but we could take pictures of it on you and put them together to see if it's suitable before making a final decision, too."
