Takashi and Yuyami     It's been a little while since Takashi and Sayaka have made time to spend time together - the wintertime and Takashi being busy with his own research and promotion and background operations has meant this is the first time in a little bit they've properly connected.

So the tall, white haired boy is dressed in a large blue coat, with black fur on the sleeves and neckline, sitting somewhat awkwardly on a swing in Penguin Park waiting for Sayaka to arrive.
Sayaka Miki For her date with Takashi, Sayaka has chosen to wear a pale bronze shirt peeking out from under a snowy blue vest, partially covered by a high-waisted blue skirt with white triangular embroideries at the bottom hem, just above black thigh-highs and brown boots keeping her legs warm.

A black coat rests atop the ensemble, with a pattern of snowflakes blown across the fabric by an icy breeze, matching the silver scarf covering her neck.

Ula has an addition to her wardrobe for today too: a red, white and black capelet covering her across the shoulders.

"Hello, Takashi-kun!", Sayaka waves when she comes close to the park. "Are you in a soaring mood?", she grins at seeing him on the swing.
Takashi and Yuyami     Takashi can't help it, it's almost automatic, subconscious how fast the words leave his mouth. "Well, now that I can see your face again, my heart is soaring anyways. Figured I might as well allow the rest of me. Out of henshin." he notes. "But it's good to see you again. And you, Ula." he says, nodding to regard the presence of the littler mermaid.

He's grinning a bit despite himself. "How are things with you? I'm sorry I've been busy." He doesn't say what he's been busy with but that could always cause more... difficulty... than just saying he likes being around her.
Sayaka Miki The edges of Sayaka's grin slightly warm up at that response. "You aren't quite missing breath despite that. I think we should do something while we are still in time." And with that, she starts giving him a gentle push. And again. And again. And everytime he comes down. "Are you reaching for your heart now?"

She starts consciously breathing in and out to time it with her pushes. "I am happy to spend time with you. If you are sorry, we can always make things work more."

She gives a slightly stronger push with a small laugh when he comes back down. "Things are pretty much the same, but Scorn has been ramping up activities. I think Black Friday is not very in with her."
Takashi and Yuyami     Takashi doesn't stop smiling when she moves to turn it into actually pushing him on the swing. Somewhere there's a part of him saying this is silly or pointless, but when he hears her voice it's easy to stuff that part in a box.

"I've had a lot going on, but I haven't done the best job of making time for you, so yeah, I am sorry. But I'm also going to do better about that. You're important to me, too." he says, his white hair flowing out behind him as she pushes him. It's evident what a stringbean of a person he is in how easy the older tall boy is for her to push pretty hard.

"Scorn's folks are ramping stuff up I think. Which means there's pressure on her." Takashi says directly. "But I don't talk to Mirage's folks very often. Less now." he admits. It's easier to talk, at least, when she knows part of who he is, who she's talking to. "You're keeping yourself safe, right?"
Sayaka Miki His hair easily stands out to her with him flying through the hair. Fanning out like that through the air, with the sun giving it its own light, really makes it all the more striking. It doesn't really need the environmental enhancements to stand out on its own, though.

"I am happy to hear that. I want to spend time with you too", she replies with a softer push of his shoulder. "Christmas is not too far now. We can always go window shopping for presents, and stop for some hot chocolate", she suggests.

Sayaka frowns slightly at hearing of the pressure being put on Scorn. "She deserves to be with her family for Christmas too. Not working for the Phantom Empire." But she has no idea how long that would take. "Got any Christmas plans for your team?"

"Of course I am keeping myself safe. Between the standard magic shield and my regen, I only really need a tiny bit of caution", she says with a smile. "What about you? Keeping the recklessness to a minimum?", she comments lightly.
Takashi and Yuyami     "Oh, shoot. That's right, it's coming up fast... I need to get you something real good for Christmas." he says out loud, and it's not sarcastic at all. It's a level of like, sudden concern that she can hear in his voice, like this is as much a pressure as anything he does for Obsidian or himself.

"We should go to the mall soon, yeah, so you can show me what kind of things you might like." he says.

"And yeah, both of my girls are kind of isolated from thier families so I've been partly thinking about making sure they have a good New Year's." Takashi says 'my girls' in the way a teacher might speak about their students or a brother their younger sisters, it's a different sort of way than he speaks about Sayaka. But notably, it's plural, meaning morew than just Kagayaki-san. "Christmas is more of a romantic holiday-thing so I don't want to make it weird, but they should absolutely have a good New Year's." he notes.

"I haven't actually been out on the field much lately. I..." he pauses and considers if he should even say it, so there's a few quiet pushes. "Being out there less reduces the chances we run into each other and have to fight, so, I've been keeping the recklessness to my lab for now."
Sayaka Miki Sayaka blinks at the urgency in his voice. It is nice to know he cares that much, but she doesn't want him to get anxious about it either. "Me too. Who would have thought we would both need the same thing, right?", she scoffs amused.

"We will have all the time in the world, and I don't think you are going to pick something that disappoints me. Really", she comments earnestly. At the same time, Takashi can feel her pushes have become much more deliberate, as if she has started to keep count.

"It's neat, hearing you talk about them. Your tone really warms up. You really care about them, don't you?", she comments, still keeping the rhythm of the pushes. "I think Norie-san has a roommate, so she should be in good hands even if we are busy together. Christmas might be romantic, but friends should get gifts too."

She knows Hinoiri has gifted her donuts, but she has no idea how much that is them being close now and how much trying to make things up to her.

"So you have been basically relying on Norie and the thunder girl for your plan", Sayaka muses at the news. At a specific moment, she jumps on Takashi's seat and start keeping control of the momentum with her legs. "Well, I haven't met them lately, so your plans and I have steered clear of each other." She smiles.
Takashi and Yuyami     "Of course I care about them." he says, as though the idea that he wouldn't is alien to him. "I mean, really, I care about this whole world." he admits. "But it's hard not to want to see the best for people who support me, too." he says.

He debates if he should clarify Sayaka's assertion, and then he decides that if she catches him in a lie, even one by omission, right now? It'd be very bad. "Well, Fate-chan's staying with her mother - I think they're going to keep going after the Jewel Seeds, like they were before. That's not my department anymore." he says. "Okana-san is still a big help though..." he says, and then looks up to see Sayaka sharing the seat, standing over him, the way her blue hair waves in the wind, even though hers is the dramatically shorter of the two. "... plus I've got some new ones I'm taking care of. Better with me than hanging out with Joker or something." he says.

"You know I was going to trade spots and push you..." he says, laughing a bit. "Now that's not as necessary I guess. But it still feels weird with you doing all the work." he grins. "But you know... I know now that you can regenerate and all of that, because I can draw the connections between you and you and also you... but that doesn't mean I don't worry about you. Like, I'm pretty sure even with how tough you are, it still hurts, right? I don't want you hurting."
Sayaka Miki It is nice though", Sayaka insists. She wasn't kidding about that. The comment about the world is passed over though. She knows he is serious about that, but they don't really see it the same way, so she'd rather not say something that would risk souring the moment.

"Hmm, I hope they take a break for the holidays though", the bluenette ponders. She knows little about Fate, but it doesn't sit well with her if she is just... gonna keep working. She still swings up and down at key moments, holding onto the chain tightly.

Sayaka blushes a bit as Takashi points out the obvious. He got her there. "It does hurt, but I am taking much better care of myself now, and avoiding it when I can. It's not like how... I was." She falls quiet for a moment. "Everyone... They taught me something important. Even the Scroll of Ka helped, despite everything."

"...New ones? Really? What are they like? And what kind of person is Joker?" She has no doubt if Takashi he is talking about him that way, they really should be better off with him. "You know, if you want to introduce them to me sometimes, I have got a cheat card that helps me make really good sweets. You could bring Norie-san too."
Takashi and Yuyami     "Well, Fate-chan and her mother aren't from this planet, so I don't know how much they're going to stress about our holidays." he says, casually. "A lot of Obsidian folks don't get too wrapped up in the season - or if they do, they see it as a way to drain a lot of energy, admittedly." he says, suprisingly direct about that. "I'm not really able to take much time off either because of that - I can't risk them putting some incredibly stupid plan into motion when I'm not there to manage it." As opposed to his own plans, which are never stupid and only brilliant.

"Maybe we will. I don't know, I was going to try to keep our work and our relationship lives separate, but that's not something either of us seems to really be able to do." He says. Then she mentions the scroll, and Takashi looks up.

"Really, the Scroll? How did the Lost Logia help you?" he asks, confirming now he doesn't know the full story, or at least, all of the connected parts. "The only person I'm aware of it helping is a Puella." he continues. It's also a convinent way to side step Bring Your Girlfriend To Your Woobies Day Suggestion.
Sayaka Miki Well, now that he points it out, that makes sense actually. It's true that Jewel Seeds are Device Mages business, and considering that Belka and Midchildia are where they come from, there aren't many chances of that. "Well, hopefully they can take a break with their own holidays", she insists.

She laughs a bit sharply at his consideration about Obsidian's plans. "And if you weren't there to stop it, then I would be the busy one, trying to stop whatever you weren't there to manage. We really have a good arrangement here."

Did she never actually...? Dating on opposite sides requires more consideration than she thought. "It will work. We just needs to think of how," she comments, briefly letting go of a chain to fix a hair strand. "I am the heroine of justice wielding a sword for the sake of her friends and loved ones", she replies mimicking drawing a sword.

"I am Sharpsong. And you already know Ula." She gently pats the mermaid. "What happened to the Scroll after you took it, anyway?"
Takashi and Yuyami     "I don't know. Breaks aren't something that either of them know well. Like mother like daughter." Takashi notes, shaking his head. "Even if both of them really SHOULD take breaks, for their health..."

He shakes his head. "Not something I have control over though." he says, looking up.

"Well, I'm sure you'll still be involved in stopping stuff I can't really be seen getting in the way of. Not yet, anyways. But at least between you and Kirara-san, I can provide some information to people at times." he says, as though he doesn't have his own designsd and plans.

"Oh. Right. Sharpsong. The veil is weird, frustrating..." he says as the peices just fall into place so rapidly, the magic barrier holding him from making the connection falling apart rapidly. "Always makes me feel like I should have made the connections, even though I know because of magic I couldn't. Now it's clear." he says.

"The scroll? I still have it." He admits openly. "Originally I took it because I heard it helped you avoid the... Puella's... unfortunate destiny. And I wanted to make sure Tomoe-san had the same chance you did, but that ended up being less important, since she... decided to head off to Paris. I haven't heard from her in some time." he admits.
Sayaka Miki And of course how much he shares about his own plans is up in the air. "I will try to get an invitation to your plans. That way we can see each other as much as possible", Sayaka pokes fun at him. She really has no doubt he avoided bringing attention to it on purpose.

A shudder crawls up Sayaka's spin that has nothing to do with the winter weather, when Takashi brings up Mami just disappearing. From what little she remembers of her Senpai, she wasn't in a state of mind too dissimilar from her own.

No doubt the more stable between the two of them, but still not someone Sayaka as she is now would have trusted alone with her own thoughts. "I hope she is doing fine, and that she decides to come back on her own one day", she sighs. She really doesn't like that piece of news.

"Ula, prepare for roll-off", Sayaka warns the fairy, and once she has seen she is ready, the bluenette jumps. "You said you wanted to trade places, right?", Sayaka observes, moving over to the empty swing one seat over. "If you get to know Fate-san doesn't have a break, we could throw her something."
Takashi and Yuyami     "Well, if it helps you relax, I read a report not too long ago that I'm pretty sure was Mami disrupting something Obsidian was trying to do in Paris." he suggests, trying to give Sayaka at least some comfort Mami hadn't become a Witch.

"I like talking to you as Takashi a lot more than I suspect I would as Riventon." he admits. "The increased level of Dark Energy can... make me kinda mean, and I don't want to be mean to you." Though that might indicate he has less of an issue being mean to other people, notably.

He's more than happy to get out of the swing and trade places, pushing her as she sits in her seat. He's being careful with her now, too - he's not yet pushing her as hard as she pushed him, though it does steadily increase after a bit. "You're special, though." he notes. "That was something I figured out early on. Kinda like me, but you know, in a different way." he says, like his brain is taking a little bit to find the words he intends, uncharacteristically. "I just... You stand out amongst all of the people I talk to, everyone I meet, in such a good way. I like having you around. It'd be better if you worked with me, though. Instead of me always worrying I'll see you on the opposite side of a battlefield..."
Sayaka Miki "That ''is'' nice to know", Sayaka comments at the new piece of news. Just as relieved by Mami stopping an Obsidian plan as she is by her still being around. She can only be happy her Senpai has found her own spirit of justice again while looking for a change of air.

"Maybe there is something to be said about French air", Sayaka jests with a shrug as her hands grip the chain steadily. She giggles a bit as her seat starts flying, enjoying the sensation of air through her hair.

"Would you really enjoy having ''me'' around?" Sayaka asks between swings. "I would be quite different if we are talking about a me that is not only willing to put up with people being hurt, but also ok with helping out Obsidian", she points out.

She let's a few pushes pass after that thought and adds. "I am going to survive anything you throw at me, you know? And I prefer not having to hurt you too." Admittedly she has a big unspoken advantage in that regard, since a lot of times she can just attack a youma instead of him.
Takashi and Yuyami     "Well, if anyone asks you didn't hear it from me. I'm not in the business of giving out information in reports to Sparkles." he says, but there's a little mirth in his voice, like it's more of a wink wink nudge nudge situation.

"I don't know, we've got a couple folks here from France right now and they're about as crazy as anybody from Tokyo." he notes, regarding the air.

"That's a good question." he says to her being different. "I don't know, maybe I can get you to see things the way I do, from my perspective. There's always that hope, right? It's what people say to me, I don't know why I shouldn't be afforded the same courtesy of hope." he says, although Dark Energy is a good reason. "I don't think what I'm doing is so incompatible with you, but maybe I'm wrong." He almost said some other things, about her growing up and coming around to necessities... but is smart enough to avoid those.

"I don't know. Part of me wants to argue if you could or not, but I'd rather keep pushing you on this swing than start a shouting match about what you can survive." he says, gently. "And I'm sure you can imagine it might be hard to put a sword through me and feel that, even if I survive it." Or at least he hopes that doesn't sound like a good idea to her.

"...Also you're really cute in henshin and it might throw me off! Well, you're cute out of henshin too but I'm not fighting you right now so that's not a problem."
Sayaka Miki "This handsome somebody is definitely someone I'd like to see around, with or without news", Sayaka replies with a sudden straight face, and she is a bit more glad she has to focus on remaining attached to the swing right now, even if it was her decision to reply.

"Oh, are they your new pupils?", she immediately asks, recalling that she never did quite ask who they were. "What are they like? Are you enjoying getting to know them?"

She really doesn't think it would work the same way if she switched sides, though, since they really don't know for sure what she would be like in this hypothetical, and what little Sayaka does know, makes her think she wouldn't be a very enjoyable person to be around.

"Well, being the heroine of justice is how I face the world", she instead says. "I don't see myself being very compatible with Obsidian", she comments casually.

"I really don't think this discussion really fits a date. I'd much rather discuss how a... kiss would go, instead of a sword", she comments with a reddened smirk. "I think I would find it much better, don't you think so?"
Takashi and Yuyami     "My kohais? They're good girls, and talented, they just need pushing in the right direction so they don't find themselves lost in the dark." he says, simply. "One of them is incredibly smart, the smartest person I've met since Kirara-san, maybe smarter... and one of them is elegant and graceful. Maybe I will introduce you to them..." he muses. At the very least, even if Sayaka doesn't join his work, she could get a connection with his employees perhaps.

"I'm not really compatible with Obsidian either you know. I don't so much want you to join them as to join ''me'' and my goals. Which are different than the companies. I want to see things be better, you know." he says, simply.

At her other discussion suggestion though, he pauses for a moment, pushing her a little more. "You're right, I'm sorry, we started talking about ''work'' and there's much more interesting things in front of me." he says.

But he slows the swing down, gently reducing the speed till she's just there in the swing, and he steps to the side of it and looks down at her.

"A kiss huh? Well, we could ''discuss'' it, or we could just ''find out''." he says, hands gripped on the chains of the swing and looking down at her, that smile of his - half smug as usual, but half a smile that's just for her. "Maybe, if you wanted, we could even test it a few times in fact and see if it changes."
