Scene #439: Out of the Black into the Blue

Celica Elise	Its been days. Days since the transport got pulled into this weird dimension. Days since the attack on the transport and days since she was launched out of a nearly obliterated transport. Now adrift through space in an escape pod, Celica is left cold, alone and in the dark. Eventually a Blue marble comes into view. That marble grows bigger and bigger. It doesn't take long for Celica to realize she is caught in the gravity of this planet. There is nothing she can do to stop it. Two thoughts crossed her mind as the planet got bigger and bigger. One, this is going to be a heck of a crash. Two, She hopes the planet is habitable and has food! Minutes later, the escape pod ignites with flames as it enters the Earth's atmosphere. It soars across the sky, over the Tokyo skyline, looking like a meteorite, shining its way down until... SPLASH!! Right into the ocean.
Coco Kiumi	Coco has been going on one of her leisurely swims. The weather was perfect then, with no storm on the horizon, and the temperatures don't matter much for a mermaid. She would be perfectly fine with swimming in the arctic waters if she wanted to, and she wouldn't feel any odder than now. The mermaid princess is smiling, keeping herself close to the water surface, loving the sensation of emerging and submerging. Yes, this was a lovely day. Coco is really enjoying her time away from the school, where she is back to being herself, being able to stretch her tail with nobody to have questions about seeing a real-life mermaid. But then, the crash of a pretty big body of metal reaches her ears, the noise hurting her with how loud it is. "What's that!?" Coco yells instinctively, looking at what just fell. "That's a spaceship, isn't it? That was so loud, everyone would have heard that if it were back in Tokyo." She quickly hurries towards the escape pod, looking for a door, but unluckily it's on the bottom side of the vehicle, right into the water. Coco opens it with a struggle against the water pressure, and quickly enters the inner space, which was already partially filled with water due to a leak somewhere, and Coco opening the door did the rest. She quickly spots who must have been the pilot, and she starts dragging her outside, when something catches her attention: a device not to dissimilar from Blauer Greif, Dreiseelen and Nicomachea. 'That's one of those technomagics, isn't it?' she realises, grabbing it to, before emerging and dropping the girl and the device on the top side of the spaceship. "Hey, are you alright?" she yells, trying to spot any sign of recovery. Shaking with nervousism over the girl's condition, Coco takes her pearl out from the shell locket, placing it onto the girl. The pearl instantly starts shining, its power helping her gain consciousness again with no issues to her wellbeing.
Celica Elise	The girl groans and slowly begins to regain consciousness. She stirs, first by going for the device on her wrist to make sure its still there. Then she checks over herself to make sure she is still in one piece. "Ugh..." She reaches up and rubs her head. "That was not fun." She slowly sits up. She turns her attention to her rescuer. Giving a smile, she looks around. "So, a planet full of Fish People?" She asks curiously. "That would make for one heck of a world. Sure beats where I was headed for." She turns her attention to the city skyline. Her eyes go wide. "Okay that looks almost like home! What is that place?" She asks curiously as she takes it all in. "I am okay I think. My head is kinda splitting. I think I got bonked when the pod crashed."
Coco Kiumi	"Haha", Coco laughs nervously reaching out to quickly grab her pearl and put it into her pendant. "It's not full of fish people, you just got lucky that one would be nearby, especially since I am one of the seven protectors of the oceans" she explains, gesturing towards the locket in which she just put her pearls. "You can find humans at the city you are looking at, which is Tokyo, Japan. I can carry you over there, especially since the water are as calm as they are now and there is no demon nearby, but then you will have to go alone for the rest of the way."
Celica Elise	"Okay Sorry. I don't know the proper name for your kind. Thank you though. You protect the oceans? Sounds like quite the job." The girl smiles. She is clearly a younger teen and she does have a bit of a sharpness to her. She jumps down into the water. "Ahh Okay the water isn't that cold. I thought I was going to freeze in here." Her gaze goes back to the city. She smiles and takes it in. "I kinda miss my home but I guess this Tokyo is going to be a good place to restart. Not like my dad would care. He probably is throwing a party that I disappeared."
Coco Kiumi	"Yes, I am a mermaid, and our kind is named merfolk. Specifically, I am the mermaid princess of the South Pacific Oceans, which is a few thousand kilometers in that direction", Coco explains, pointing to her right. The mermaid positions herself to the side of the younger teen, helping her swim along. "Yes, we are just at the beginning of autumn, so the water isn't that cold yet, luckily. When you get tired, you can grab onto my shoulders, I will carry you the rest of the way." Between the splashes of her tail and those of Celica's limbs, Coco thinks sadly upon her words. "Your father would do that about you? He must be a terrible person. I would offer a hug if we weren't swimming, but anyway, I am sorry that happened to you", she looks at her with a frown. "I think you will find that many people in Tokyo are way more friendly, though. I suggest going to Radiant Heart Academy. They have a dorm, and you can learn lots of things there, and make many friends." They keep swimming a bit when one more splash is heard and shadow algae-arrows barely dodge the two swimming girls. "Coco, mermaid princess of the South Pacific Ocean, we found you! You will regret escaping from Lord Gaito's prison, now that you are no longer inside that perimeters of that annoying land school!" A winged girl with cat ears, dark brown hair styled in ringlets and dark eyes in her late teens suddenly emerges from the water and stands in the air with her wings. She wears a yellow bandana on her head, a small dark blue tank-top with thin straps, an armband with brownish purple and reddish stripes on each arm, a dark blue short miniskirt with a reddish belt, and purple high-heels. "Eril!" exclaims Coco in response. "Why don't you quit it already!" she yells annoyed. "Sorry, that water demon is persistently after me, though I guess she did us a favour since she revealed my identity for us. I wouldn't have been able to do it myself. I am a student at Radiant Heart too. More explanations later, for now we have to fight!" As the mermaid princess brings her arms to each side of her shell locket, she declares "Yellow Pearl Voice!", the pearl in her shell locket responding to her will and starting to shine with a yellow light. The mermaid gains human form as a kaleidoscope of colours covers the area where area where her idol clothes are about to appear: her yellow gloves and boots with flowy extensions and a yellow blouse with a yellow skirt. Meanwhile, her pearl expands into her trusty E-Pitch microphone, its blue shape settling comfily into her hand, the jewel nestled safely in the head's center. The Live Stage forms around the two girls, and the sphere of white light enables them to float above the water level, at about the same height as Eril.
Celica Elise	The new arrival to Earth smiles and listens to all Coco has to say. She doesn't interrupt or anything. At least not until the topic of her father had been brought up. "My father was sending me to a Military school." She rolls her eyes. "I don't wanna talk about it." Then the new arrival appears. "Your name is Coco? I am guessing something bad would have happened if you told me your name?" She then sighs and glares at this Eril, "Look I was just in a mother of all crashes. My head hurts and Honestly I just want solid land beneath my feet." Then Coco explains just who and what this creature is. "Oh goodie. A fight before I can even get my head checked." She speaks up. "Defiant Soul set up!" SETTING UP. Immediately the girl goes through her transformation sequence. instead of a robe though her barrier jacket takes the form of a trench coat. Her device takes the form of a double crooked staff. "Ready Defiant Soul?" READY. "Excellent. Range mode." The staff bends and a beam of energy moves between the crooks making a very strong looking bow. She draws back and takes aim. "Your move demon."
Coco Kiumi	Coco nods when Celica mentions the problems around her name. "Well, not simply that, but also the fact that I have a life on land. We mermaids are forbidden from revealing that to humans, otherwise we turn into seafoam. Luckily, Eril there just saved me the trouble on both accounts." Speaking of her, Coco turns to look at the cheerful demons with the very pink cheeks. "You got me in a bad mood by attacking me while I had a guest, and the same is very much true for her so retreat while you still can!" Eril emits a shrill and cheerful laugh in response to the two girls' words, dancing around in the air. "Lord Gaito will be so happy when I bring him back the mermaid princess that escaped. If you want to take care of your headache you can go, guest of the South Pacific, I only have business with the mermaid princess. Oh, this is the happiest day of my life!" She stops having her flight of fancy once Celise brings out her device's ranged mode. "Tsk", she say doing a complete rotation around herself, her face now much less cutest, having gained big wide red glowing sclera and irises. "You will regret it, take this!" she yells, sending 12 shadow arrows of her own after Coco while for Celica she rotates around once more and generates a whirlwind which she immediately directs towards the device mage. Beads of sweat appear on Eril's forehead, the water demon pushing herself beyond her limits. The mermaid princess reacts promptly at the arrows. "Legend of Mermaid: Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Start!" The song of the mermaid princess immediately generates an additional Live Stage which she sends firing at the shadow arrows, that end up completely consumed by the white light. The Live Stage continues its path and hits Eril, who is worse for the wear as a result. "Since when you could do that!?" she exclaims.
Celica Elise	The whirlwind whips up and begins to buffet Celica. She holds on to anything she can get her hands on which just so happens to be Coco's live stage. As the wind howls she continues to hold tight. "So much for me being able to go." She shakes her head which continues to pound. The crash left her in rough shape. Slowly the whirlwind would come to an end and the device mage would be able to do something. Anything to retaliate for this uncalled for attack. She holds her bow up and draws back. "STAR ARROW!" The device echos the attack name. An energy arrow forms and Celica releases it in the direction of the demon. Needless to say, She is already drawing back and preparing another shot for the horrible Eril. "Coco, what else can this demon do?" She asks curiously wanting to know what this thing is capable of. "I don't want to do something and wind up crashing into the escape pod again." She states feeling like that could be the worst thing to happen.
Coco Kiumi	"What, you wanted me to stay put and wait patiently for one of you to deliver me to Gaito's doorstep like a gift box?" the mermaid comments sarcastically towards Eril's surprise. Coco is quick to catch Celica's intentions when the other girl tries grabbing onto the Live Stage and she extends the spell so that she gets caught too and starts floating inside it alongside her. "Try not to get her attacks to reach us, the Live Stage is pretty fragile", she warns her. She could try dodging or putting a repelling barrier around the sphere of white light, but there is only so much she can concentrate on, and between keeping track of Eril's attacks, singing to both purify and repel not to mention keeping the fatigue away from them both she could start getting a little overwhelmed. "Those shadow arrows or tendrils and tornadoes are all she can do", Coco replies to Celica's question. "Let's just keep this up, she is just Eril." "We will see who is just Eril when-" the demon starts talking before being interrupted by Celica's arrow, who has in the meanwhile reached Eril's shoulder, causing the water demon to cry of pain, the red eyes focusing on Celica. To top if off, the melodious singing voice of the mermaid keeps resonating around the area, continuing to purify the darkness that constitutes Eril's being, grimaces of pain twisting her face as she tries to hold off the positive soundwaves. "Enough is enough", Eril stomps on the mini whirlwind keeping her in midair, before trying to catch Celica's arms in her shadow tendrils and seal Coco's mouth with 3 more.
Celica Elise	Celica nods, "Okay I will try." She focuses her attention on Eril as she thinks hard on any barrier spells she might know. She looks to her device which is currently a bow. "Think we can put a shield up in front of the Live Stage." She asks the device. "AFFIRMATIVE." "Okay lets do this! ROUND SHIELD!" She calls out and a large round magic circle forms in front of the live stage. Its a big shield, big enough to protect both girls and the Live Stage. It is taxing however as this is much bigger than Celica is used to. Just then Eril attacks with her shadow tendrils. The shield stops them thankfully. All four tendrils hit the shield. The Shield flickers a little as Celica struggles to keep it up. "This is really hard to maintain. Whatever you're going to do to deal with this demon, do it quick." She begs of Coco.
Coco Kiumi	Coco does have enough time now that Celica is blocking Eril's shots for her, and the demon is powerlessly growling from the other side of the shield as she keeps trying to reach past the round shield with arrows, but really all that exerting herself isn't doing Eriru any favours. Any subsequent series of arrows is weaker that the previous one, as Eril turns more and more tired. She has really been pushing herself beyond her limits. Not that Coco is letting her continue showering Celica's shield with attacks. The mermaid princess raises her arm, the bracelet on her wrist shining with white light as a halo of yellow light moves downwards from the mermaid princess's head: her clothes become more elaborate as it does so, gaining a flowing bow on her back and parallel frills on her blouse. "We are in a bit of a hurry, Eril, so go back now and stop being such a thorn in our side. The Tale of the Seven Seas ~Pearls of Mermaid~: Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Start!" Coco sings of embracing a dream: the journey to find the story that leads all lives to paradise, a treasure that is surely shimmering beyond the seven seas. The magical song spreads its splendor with renewed intensity, bringing more vigour and energy to Celica and repelling evil with all its might. The words of the mermaid princess call back to a lute, whose melody that resounded at dawn was similar to a sweet lullaby from her hometown. The enchanted melody shows the other two the peace the mermaid princesses wish to protect with their songs, a beautiful paradise when nobody has to hurt. "Alright, alright, I got it!" Eril shouts, the purification having tired her out quickly. "This is not over yet though, we will be back, and we will catch you too!" she threatens, before vanishing in a blur. "There, that's over with, thanks for the cover", Coco smiles at Celica. "Want me to show you the school when we reach the coast? I can bring us there with our Live Stage, no need to swim this time."
Celica Elise	The onslaught from Eril is intense to say the least. It is taking the device mage all she has to maintain the shield. Still she persists. Every attack though is weaker than the previous. That helps a lot. She keeps her shield up even though she herself is growing faint from the constant barrage. Then Coco starts to sing. The song echos inside Celica's soul causing her to regain her mana. The shield that was starting to flicker stops doing so and it begins glowing brighter, stronger. Every word of the strange song seems to reinvigorate her and she was definitely thankful for that. Finally Eril relented and decided to give up. Celica smiles and lets her shield down. "Woo!! That was great! We beat that demon!" She smiles and nods, "You're welcome. Oh and Sure! I'm not promising I will always go to school but it would be nice to have a place to go. Plus who knows, maybe I will learn something different here. Lets ride!" She cheers acting a bit like her childish self.
Coco Kiumi	The Live Stage calmly floats forward as Coco wills it towards the coast, the princess giving a sigh now that the fight is over. "Really those four's persistence always give me a headache. They are relentless, and the worst part is they have already achieved some measure of success with the others", she thinks out loud, her worry pushing those feelings out. "I am guessing you are aiming for a fresh start, right? What do you plan to do in Tokyo first? If it's something you want to say though", Coco specifies, not wanting to come across as overbearing. She skips over the matter of Celica's attendance. Mostly, what could she say at that? It wouldn't even be her place. "I like the enthusiasm you have", the mermaid smiles, willing the Live Stage to go just a bit faster. Not anywhere close to a breakneck speed though. "The school has dorms and a cafeteria, so you are pretty much covered on having a place to go to."
