Norie Okana Norie Okana sits at a table in the cafeteria of Obsidian. She has, in front of her, a stack of donuts. She also has a few cartons of milk. She's eating them, slowly, kicking her feet on the big chair she's found in a small nook in there. She closes her eyes and savors the donut she's eating. It's chocolate cake, with sprinkles. She has a big notebook with her and is looking over notes as she eats the donut.

The next donut in line appears to be a yeast ring donut, glazed in honey and seems rather plain.

She taps her lip as she looks up from her notebook occasionally as she moves to open a carton of milk. She inserts a little straw into it and sips as she huffs.

"Names..."
Mie Kitamura     One of the perks for working for Obsidian, even if it's tangential, is access to the tower's cafeteria. Which includes the waffle bar. There isn't anything like waffles in Marchenland and Mie has found herself quite taken to it. Of course, it's nothing compared to raw mutton freshly plucked from some poor shepherds fields, but it comes close, truth be told.

At first Mie was going to just sit by herself, but the words of her superiors echo in her brain. 'Maybe you should try making friends with some of the employees.' As far as she knew, dragons don't make 'friends.' She never did back when she was fulfilling her role as Marchenland's wicked dragon. But here, in the human world, things are different.

Which brings her to Norie's table. She's holding a plate stacked high with waffles and condiments that would give a sugar glider diabetes, as she stares at the girl for an uncomfortable length of time, trying to figure out what to say.

"I am going to sit here," she says stiffly, taking a seat. "I am going to try to make friends with you." Another moment of awkwardness and Mie pulls out a little piece of paper and glances at it. "It says I should ask about your interests. What is in that book?"
Norie Okana Norie Okana is enjoying her donuts when Mie arrives and sits down in the seat across from her, she has a plate full of waffles. She is staring at the waffles and condiments and merely puts down her donut as she sips her milk. "Mie-san?" she asks curiously, having met the girl before at the FaM-mart, Before she worked here. When she was restocking her snack drawer.

She gently blinks. "I have. Notes." she says quietly. "A..Are you trying to. Make friends?" she asks curiously. She means that what the dragon just said, as she puts down the carton of milk and picks up her big book. "Notes." she says again. "About the Dusk Zone." she says quietly.

"But right now I am trying to figure out some names for some. um. Dogs." she says with a nod.

"Do you. Like Waffles?" she asks.
Mie Kitamura     "Yes. I am trying to make friends," answers Mie. "I've..." She trails off for a second, a blush beginning to show on her cheeks. "I've never made a friend before." She holds up the piece of paper. "I've been given notes. On how to make friends," she hastily adds. "Not for dog names."

"A good dog name should be something vicious," she ventures. "Something that would strike fear into the hearts of men. Something like Tongueripper, The Horrible." She squinches her nose in disgust. "All they ever seemed to name them in Marchenland was things like 'Flufflebutt.' Unfitting for things with such vicious teeth."

She looks at the pile of waffles on her plate and then nods. "Yes. I do like waffles. Especially with strawberries and whipped cream. I find the taste heavenly."
Norie Okana Norie Okana shifts a bit. "I lost all my friends." she says quietly. "At school. Because you touch when you dance. And I drain when I touch.: she says. "So it looks like I attack people. So I got kicked out of dance club." she says. She shifts.

"Marchen..land?" she asks. "Where's that?" she asks as she opens her book and looks down at her notes. She sighs. No. She isn't naming one of her cute creatures 'tongueripper'.

"I like waffles too. But i prefer donuts. Would you like a donut?" she asks quietly and shifts.

"S..sorry if I speak. Weird. Things. Broken. In my head." she says.
Mie Kitamura     Mie scowls at Norie's explanation of why she doesn't have any friends. "Well. You don't have to dance with me," she concludes. "Or touch me. I think." She scans the paper she's holding, seeing if she can find out what the proper protocol on touching is. "The only thing it says is that really ''good'' friends may hold hands." She sets the paper down and looks up at the girl across from her. "But it says 'may' so I do not have to do it."

"Marchenland is--" She scowls, trying to determine how much to tell Norie. They both work for Obsidian after all, and truth be told it's a bit lonely not being able to talk about home. "Marchenland is the place where fairy tales come from," she says. Her red eyes scan Norie's face for how she reacts, but is then distracted by the offer of donuts.

"I haven't had a donut before," she says, taking one of the strange round things. She lifts it up to her nose to give it a tentative sniff, and finding that it's sweet, she takes a bite of it. She chews thoughtfully before concluding, "Yes. This is good. I approve of donuts. But I prefer waffles."
Norie Okana Norie Okana says. "It's good. I have problems touching." she says. "I'm still learning. Control? Control. Yeah. Control." she says as she nibbles her donut and gently watches Mie eat the donut. "Donuts. Make me feel okay." she says. "You wouldn't understand my notes. They're about the Dusk Zone." she says as she moves her notebook closer to Mie so she can see. a drawing of a strange dog with a tentacle from it's neck is drawn in profile. She has a bunch of names, crossed out on it as she frowns. "Having trouble with the names." she says quietly.

She blinks. "Fairy...tales....are real...?" she asks , cross eyeing a little at this into her donut.

"Huh."
Mie Kitamura     Mie nods slowly. "I see," she says thoughtfully. "I don't know much about the Dusk Zone. I've heard it mentioned a few times but I've never been there." Her lips purse into a thoughtful moue. "I think the Bad End Kingdom might be a part of it. It's where I live now, when I'm not in my apartment here on Earth."

She takes the notebook and studies the dog. "Hmm," she hums as she considers names, too. "This dog is unique. I have never seen one with a tentacle before. It deserves a unique name. Like Lord Tenticulous the First. You can call him Tenty for short." Clearly she isn't any good at naming things.

"But, yes, fairy tales are real. Where else do you think they come from?" She hesitates, on the cusp of revealing something secret. "I should tell you my role there." She scowls at her waffles, and then suddenly shoves a huge forkful into her mouth. "I am The Dragon there."
Norie Okana Norie Okana listens and thinks. "Bad.. End Kingdom?" she asks. "What's that like?" she wonders as she takes her note book back and sighs. "That. Sure is another name." she says with as much politeness as she can. She then sighs a little.

"The Dragon? Like. Just. The Dragon? From all the stories? Or... like. A Dragon?" she wonders out loud.

"I'm. A vampire." she says quietly. "That's it." she says gently. "Sorry. It isn't exciting." she says.
Mie Kitamura     "Yes," Mie confirms. "It's where Emperor Pierrot is being held. We have to... the other commanders and I... pull the Bad Energy from humans to unlock his prison. Then he can bring a Bad End to the world and I can finally escape my destiny."

She nods, taking another mouthful of waffles. "Yes. The Dragon from all of the stories. I've lived through all of them sometimes over and over again." Her eyes turn hard, "It's horrid."

"We have a few vampires in Marchenland," she says. "But they're nothing like the ones that I've read about recently. They're the evil ones that lurk in the dead of night, and they don't sparkle." She peers at Norie for a second, cocking her head. "You don't sparkle, do you?"
