Hannah Steiner The last few hours of being in a hospital often are the worst. Hannah feels better, but until some of her levels come up, the doctors are stubbornly refusing to let her leave. And so, with Lyra laying down at the foot of her hospital all she can do is flip through terrible tv-shows for sound, poke at her least favorite kinds of homework. Luckily enough? At least she has a nice vanilla and caramel milkshake thanks to a certain wonderful Naru-chan! She sighs and idly sips away, the sweetness of milk and cream and sugar doing at least somewhat to cure her mostly foul mood.

Even the scent of the nearby get-well flowers isn't doing much to help. A grumble escapes her! "By the Sankt, why must this place be so oppressive!? Und not even duels to listen to on the television! What /is/ this pathetic backwater!?" Complains Hannah to BG and Lyra.

Her Device is happily on standby mode, ignoring her herrin's complain for the thousandth time. Lyra merely gnaw gnaw gnaw's teriyaki jerky!

Then her phone buzzes, and she twitches. Oh gods. She's either going to get yelled at, or visitors, or both! Halp! The Belkan huffs, and rubs her bandaged head.
Ami Mizuno Ami Mizuno arrives after knocking on the door carefully and opens it, pedaling inside as she has flowers. She is trying to be quiet but sees that Hannah is awake anyways as she sighs a little. "So what happened?" she asks curiously. "Did you try to fight a car? Did it win?" she asks with bemusement, trying to be silly as she places the flowers, Yellow Roses, with the rest. Yellow roses meaning 'Get Well'.

She then walks over to Hannah's side. "Well?" she asks, with more bemusement.
Amy Faust     The door's already open. Amy strides in, looks over Hannah, nods briefly to Ami, noting that her girlfriend's not in a bunch of casts, and, as soon as she reacts to something, conscious and alert. "Hannah! What *happened?!*" She rushes forward to lean over the bed and hug her to what degree she can. There were some text messages about injury but she's missing details nonetheless!
Rashmi Terios The problem with owning an Intelligent Device is, often, the Intelligent part. When a Device decides it knows what's best for its wielder, and thinks its wielder will get in the way of a thing happening, it's just not going to say anything.

Which was why Rashmi was surprised, when Nicomachea alerted her to a message from Blauer Grief, noting that its Herrin had managed to get herself hospitalized, and encouraging a visit.

And visit Rashmi does! With a box of Korma Chameleon sweets in one hand, and a shopping bag in the other. The door is -- clumsily -- opened with use of good balance and a foot, then eased open to allow the redhead entry.

"Hannah-chan~!" she chirps brightly, then notices the wealth of visitors already in the room. "...I'll just be right over here for a sec, I think."

Chair, occupied! Patient waiting! First come, first lecture, after all!
Coco Kiumi As the one who brought her there, Coco knows very well where Hannah's is, and she would have expressed her worry-laced complaints plenty of times already if the Belkan constitution at the time didn't hold her back. And besides, her mouth was kind of busy singing at the time to help keep her stable. Hard to complain when your mouth is already being employed for singing. She only stopped momentarily to let Kyouka and Hannah have their privacy while they talked.

Now, though? Her condition had apparently stabilised enough to leave Hannah fighting boredom by flicking through the channels and complaining about no actual fight being present.

"How are you feeling, Hannah?", Coco checks first, placing a confection of sweets on her bedside. They can actually tackle why she felt the need to prove her honour again and again, after the mermaid is assured her friend has recovered well.
Hannah Steiner Hannah knows that voice! And it's paradoxically both the /best/ voice to hear, and yet, also the worst! She's by now well aware of Ami's ability to cut through many of her own social tactics to deflect like a good politician's daughter. Her smile is warm, but inwardly she's sweating a bit. Kark. While mostly she's up to snuff, there's still some swelling in her braincase, and that's quite a distraction when you're trying to worm your way out of actually answering the question proposed so sincerely.

And /gods/ she hates directly lying to Ami. Buying for time, she leans into the levity that thankfully the Best Bluenette offers.

"Nein! ...Against three...acht, what is the term? Armored Personelle Carriers? You should have seen the other two! Und the third limped away on /one karking axel/!" Comes Hannah proudly...and then she flinches, coughs, and brings a hand to her head. Ow. Oh /why/.

"Sankt, head injuries are the /worst/!" She rumbles, only to vaguely realize there's a follow up.

Just while she's trying to figure out how to non-answer Ami's real question, in comes her girlfriend! Oh no. The threat level in the room ratches up, about tenfold. Hannah /hates/ relying on the Veil. The mere concept, though she's never really pondered it in full, would no doubt infuriate the magic-loving Belkan. A self-deluded one at that. And so a hand is reaching out, but Amy beats her to it, and arms are wrapping around her beautiful beloved, and so she presses warm smooches to cheeks, and a little forehead-to-forehead rub of pure adoration!

Then she realizes both girls are asking similar questions, and the gears turn, and her blue eyes, for once uncovered from her tinted glasses, sparkle!

"Amy Faust, mein Faustian Engel und most precious of liebhaberinnen? Have you had the honor of meeting mein most honored und wise..." A slow, dramatic buildup, and she grins to the sounds of both her dearest compatriots!

"Und most /tolerant/ of room mates, the esteemed Ami Mizuno!? Whatever rumors you have heard, they do not do her justice. Or are the mere bayings of wrothful hunds that cannot deign to measure up to such sheer well-gained skill!" Not once in her praising of Ami does she mention the word 'genius'. She appreciates Ami's finer qualities, so much as she loves that intelligence at the same time.

"Und mein dear frau Mizuno, the Lady whom through her courage, sweet voice that makes the Sankt Herself weep in envy, und is so /tolerant/ again to put up with this fool of a Steiner, I do hope you two shall become dear freunds!" Smile! Smiiiile, just doing introductions!

And utterly ignoring the floating question in the room.

And then two figures come on in, and Hannah is just as warm!

"frau Rashmi!" Sniff. Sniffff. "...I feel /horrible/ mein freund that mein first gastronomical assault und test of your House's skills is by box. Worry naught, I shall make the walls tremble und chomp only the finest of your wares when I am recovered. ...Oh that really does smell good."

Even after devouring Naru's Jerky? Lyra is sloooowly scooching over to Rashmi at that chair. Like a very big, very fuzzy rug inching towards her when no one's looking. Iiiinch. Sliiide. Pauuuse. Hiss. Drool! That box isn't safe, Rashmi-chan!

"Coco." Her words are a bit softer here. How many times already has she been healed up, and in this case, her life likely saved by Yellow Pearl Voice? It's even harder to try to deflect now. Ugh. Why does this world need to be so complicated???

"...As though I am recovering from a concussion. Concrete, as it turns out, quite hurts." Pause. "Oh by Olivie's knickers, that was rude. Ah. As best as one might consider. Almost entirely to your quick thinking. Mein freunds? Thank this young woman for her...use of emergency services as swiftly as she did, that I am not permanently injured. A Knight in Shining Armor some may well say." She's actually teasing at the end, smiling towards Coco's voice!
Amy Faust     Have you met Ami? "She's in some of my classes, and in Computer Club, but we've never really talked much." Amy answers, but does turn and bow slightly to the bluenette. "Honored to be introduced to you properly all the same." She smiles.

And at the assertion that Coco is responsible for saving Hannah from... whatever happened, she hurries over to hug Coco. "Thank you." And to whisper in her ear, since she *doesn't* know Ami is Sailor Mercury, 'What happened?'
Greta Legend With little warning, the door opens, and from the doorway, a long stream of consciousness of German yelling can be heard, as Greta Legend steps in, glasses on, and glaring at Hannah in her bed.

"Hattest du vor, mir deine Belkan-Traditionen vom Krankenhausbett aus beizubringen? Was zum Teufel ist los mit dir, Hannah? Du hast alles getan, um auf meine Seite zu kommen, und hast das durchgezogen? Scheisse!"

She might be angry.

She then takes a breath and looks to the others present, processing who was who, and then saying, "Tut mir leid, ich--Excuse me... I switch to German when I'm angry."
Rashmi Terios Rashmi jumps in her seat a bit, as Greta barges in and begins to do the yelling that probably all of them have saved up, at least a little. Patting Lyra's head, she digs into the box and extracts a cookie made of fresh cheese and almond paste, raising it up for Hannah to sense. "Hannah-chan, a lot of people have a lot of very important questions for you... Because we *care* about you. For every one you don't answer?"

And the treat is held out to Lyra.

...So it's like *that.*
Ami Mizuno Ami Mizuno doesn't even know Hannah Steiner is magical, let alone anyone else in this room at the moment. She nods. "I see." is all she can politely say to the explanation. There's more to this story, she believes, but maybe right now without all the people here, isn't the right time to get to the bottom of it.

"Yes, we're in some classes and computer club." she says. "It is nice to meet you again." Ami with an i says to Amy with a y.

She then blinks when someone enters and starts yelling in German. She knows that's German, but she isn't fluent enough to understand it all. She is able to pick out some words though.

"...Belkan...?" she asks. "What does a town in Australia have to do with anything here?" ahe asks.
Coco Kiumi Coco smirks from nervousism with all the lists of compliments Hannah is giving her. "I just happened to be in the right situation to help you." she replies. "I glad you are in such good spirits now, despite the concussion. What have the doctors told you about your health?"

Coco readily hugs Amy back as the redhead goes towards her. "I am glad she is doing well" is all the reply she gives to Amy's thanks. As for her other question, the mermaid whispers back in Amy's ear. "She was with Hematite, and she wanted to have a fight with him, but he refused apparently, only sending a demon at her, and belittling her in the process, with words too, not just with his actions."

She hesitates before continuing to whisper "Amy, you probably know her better than any of us. Why is she so suicidally motivated to prove herself. I don't know what kind of place is her planet, but I worry this has very big chances of repeating."
Hannah Steiner "Wonderful! Talk more then! I should like to see two of mein most precious souls upon..." Given the mixed company, she manages to haul back words like 'misbegotten rock' and simply nods to Amy, though her ears catch patters over to Coco.

She's not sure if she loves or hates this eventuality, because two mahou conspiring in a corner is bad for the very delicate balance she's trying to strike here. Her head is throbbing again!

A hand grabs for Blauer Greif, and then the charging bull Greta Legend is cursing her out and calling her out. Thankfully in German. The spacial vagaries are small enough that she just grins towards her very angry student, and takes the blow on her proverbial chin! Grin. Griiiiin!

Komm jetzt!

She returns in pure accented Belkan!

Sometimes the language barrier is a language /shield/, and she ruthlessly wields it like one!

Remind her to never, ever again, underestimate Rashmi Terios. She's being shook down. Threatened. Deprived of the Korma before she's even devoured it's glory! That's a rather low blow, but Hannah and her House the type to savor experience, and so boldly trying to take away something is enough to make her throat dry and her heart beat in fear.

Lyra is a traitor, and just slooowly and carefully shluuuurps up that tasty cookie. Chomp. Chomp.

Kark. Sankt Kaiser help her!!!!

"Sometimes one confronts a heathen, und Fate plays merry kark with the outcomes, alright?" She huffs, as Rashmi neatly makes her say /something/. Arms cross.

Coco is whispering. Ami is asking about Belka.

"Not /that/ Belka. The other one..." That feels lame even to her, she's leaning on the Veil and it HURTS!

"They...acht...blood pressure levels und 'swelling' up stairs as it were. A few more hours, und they shall have another test. 'Miraculous luck', or so they so." She mumbles, knowing /why/ but it all still vexes her as she responds to Coco's questioning!
Greta Legend Greta finds herself blinking a bit at Hannah's Belkan, as she understands it but it doesn't sound right, or rather it's as if the way Hannah's mouth moved was not the same as the sounds coming out of it. She sensed a similar language quirk with Zephyr but at the time couldn't place it...

She shakes her head and dismissed those questions for later. "Anyway, I'm not hear because of any obligations of friendship, I just wanted toi make sure you were okay."
Amy Faust     Someone comes in ranting German -- or perhaps Belkan -- and this time Ami catches very little of it. 'Belkan Traditions', and a swear at the end. Hannah responds, 'Indecipherable! I have no indecipherable, I white indecipherable my indecipherable!' It's even worse than his understanding of Japanese was when he first came to this country.

Ami whispers back to Coco, 'I don't know about her culture. She won't tell me much of space, some Prime Directive type deal, but the TSAB officer said they don't have anything like that out there. ...I haven't gotten the impression that she's proving herself, so much as that she's very... self-confident, but I'm horrible at reading people. Clearly we need to have a talk when there are no normies in the room.'

The small redhead turns and gives Hannah a stern look. "'Swelling upstairs' is very bad. Do they have to drain, ahh, I don't know the word in Japanese, the fluid in your head, for that? Getting a needle in there must *hurt*."
Ami Mizuno Ami Mizuno is only able to catch very little of Hannah's reply. She can't speak German and she understands even less, but she gives a curt. "Alright..." in a 'We're speaking about this when you get back...' manner to Hannah.

She watches Rashmi torture Hannah with feeding the dog.

She giggles a little at this, and nods, before answering, more seriously. "It's very bad." she says. She gently leans down and says. "Any pain right now?" she asks.
Rashmi Terios That seems to be enough to mollify Rashmi, for it looks like the Veil is going to be the adversary here. So, Lyra gets fond head-scratches, because one must always stay on the good side of one's tactical ally. The box is closed up, and Rashmi stands to find an empty space around the bed. "Here," she says, resting the rest of the sweets on the table next to Hannah's bed. "You're going to be miserable enough for awhile, you should have a *few* things to keep your spirits up."

Most of the faces around the bed, happily, are very familiar to her, but for one; Ami herself gets a gentle smile, and a bow of the head. "It's good to meet you, by the way. I'm Rashmi Terios, grade 10." 'Are you Hannah's friend?' is a question that goes unasked, because honestly... *Of course* she is, or she wouldn't be here.
Coco Kiumi "What is a TSAB officer?" Coco asks in a whisper. She hasn't heard of the term before, nor of any association that could probably use that acronym, and the first association her mind jumps to is "stab", which doesn't have good impressions in general, but certainly not right now, in this situation, leaving the mermaid to shudder lightly.

Coco isn't sure about Hannah's confidence, because the impression she got was she tended to ignore her limits despite knowing what they were, not that she didn't know what they were, but again, this is Amy she is talking with, so the redhead, certainly knows better.

The reply about her condition, really doesn't make her confident about Hannah's situation. She is supposed to stay like that for ''hours''?! The belkan may be trying not to break the veil, but that becomes secondary when she hears of her condition.

"Hannah, why were you so intent on hurting yourself like this?", she reprimands her, before declaring Yellow Pearl Voice!", the pearl in her shell locket responding to her will and starting to shine with a yellow light. The usual kaleidoscope of colours covers Coco's clothes as those change into her yellow gloves and boots with flowy extensions, as well as a yellow blouse with a yellow skirt, while her pearl expands into her trusty E-Pitch microphone, its blue shape settling comfily into her hand, the jewel nestled safely in the head's center.

Yes, she just transformed there, and no, she doesn't care. What comes next is Legend of Mermaid, spreading serenely in the hospital room, because as much as it may annoy her Hannah kept picking a fight with Hematite, the mermaid can't just not do anything knowing what she is still feeling.
Hannah Steiner Hannah offers a genuine smile as Greta is walled by her own, well, /wall/ of Belkan, and then slides on out.

"Always a pleasure mein dear pupil. I would never /deign/ to accuse you of such soft accusations!" Is she deflecting or teasing?

She's teasing, but hopefully Greta doesn't notice!

The young woman can /feel/ that gaze, even if she can't see it! "Well, I have not exactly perused the medical charts, mein engel, hardly in braille!" Okay that's a little puffy. "If they did it while I was without light. Though...nghh, admittedly that may well explain the bandage on the base of mein neck. I /do/ have an ache there." She offers. For anyone with sight that bothers to yank up the little patient record at the hospital bed?

'Drained XX amounts of cranial fluid, staunched internal bleeding, various minor abrasions and bruises. Recovery time is scratched out many times, and one nurse has added 'Impressive recovery???' in exasperated notes in the margins.

A sheer /chill/ goes up her spine. Those words have Hannah squirming more than a little openly coming from her roomie! Help. HALP!

Yeah she can't deflect or even outright lie.

"Front of mein crown as it were. Less than yesterday. I...can't remember the last two days." A big shrug.

Lyra just flops like a good mobile rug, and Hannah huffs!

"How merciful, mein dear freund." She comes with far less energy than usual towards Rashmi! But she knows when she's cornered!

Her hand also closes on the box posessively! Dare take that Korma, and you shall be Belkan twhap'd!

She grumbles a bit, and with a sigh? Just speaks cryptically.

"Striking a foe of Iron that deigns to portray himself as soft copper is perhaps a folly. Or not. Perhaps sometimes metals clash und..."

And then Coco outright transforms. In another context, she may have been able to act like a mere civilian or played off her part. But here? Amongst all these wonderful mahou?

Pride and furry rises up!

Unlike so many others, she doesn't fade away. Her Device hammers into the bed next to her, and her teeth grit!

"Hurting mein...Und just how exacatly!?!?"

Those scandalized words catch in her throat, and she takes a good minute to reply.

She doesn't realize she's crying.

"Und how should you suggest, Yellow Pearl Voice, that I do not strike against a Sankt Kaiserless Heathen of a foe, that works without Honor or even a /House/ name to...to...He was...by the Sankt, /power should be used/ for the uplifting of...!!!" Her words start to croak. She tries to be coherent, but it's /hard/ with the remnants of a concussion.

She suddenly falls back into her bed.

"I was tired of cowards." She ends, stuffily, pained, and exhausted.
Amy Faust     Wait is Coco... oh shit she's doing it. It's a few seconds before Amy thinks to rush over and close the door.

Well, the cat's out of the bag, isn't it? "This wasn't your Uncle, she said. This was someone else. We're just worried about you--" And then she holds her hand to her gut. "Shit, I guess I've got nowhere to talk after what happened getting Coco her new powers. I thought I was gonna die for a bit back there, honestly."

She walks over to Hannah and hugs her again. "I get it, I think. It would be *so frustrating* if I saw someone with the power to fix problems near and dear to me not doing it."

She takes a breath. "...So, I've nothing to say to that, but it *does* sound like you need to talk to us more in general. Coco's clearly working from very different information than I am, and we're both working on different information than the Space-Time Administration Bureau agent. We... we need to all get on the same page and work together."
Ami Mizuno Ami Mizuno watches Coco transform into Yellow Pearl Voice and marvels at this a bit as that particular bit of veil gets destroyed. There's a delayed reaction. "....Ah. So it's like that then, is it?" she asks curiously as she places a hand to her chin and taps the bottom of it.

Well that's a strange reaction to have to all. That.

Space-Time Administration Bureau. What. STAB? What a strange acronym, She files this information away as she taps her bottom lip. She doesn't say anything. But after a moment, she speaks up. To Rashmi.

"Hello. I'm Ami Mizuno. Grade 9. I'm Hannah-chan's dormmate." she finally adds.
Rashmi Terios "...Oh okay so we're just gonna-- thank you, Amy-chan," Rashmi says faintly, surprised by Coco's impulsiveness but definitely not going to stop her friend from helping to heal her other friend. Instead, she just looks aside to Ami, laughing nervously. "Ooooh boy, I hope you're magic like the rest of us... And even still, you probably have *so many questions.*"

Sighing, Rashmi rubs the bridge of her nose, and sets the shopping bag next to the box of sweets. "I got these for you, Hannah-chan. Mostly books, but there's one in particular I want you to seriously read; it's The Art of War. Because one of the most legendary generals to ever live on this world, would have some *cross words for you.*"

"But more than that," she says, looking from Hannah to Amy, and frowning. "You need to remember that you have one mission here that trumps *all the others.* Hannah-chan... How can you hunt down your uncle, how can you have a girlfriend, how can you *do anything* about getting free of this place if you *don't watch out for yourself?*"
Coco Kiumi Coco would tell her she could trust them more instead of fighting someone she doesn't know the ability of by herself, were she not busy singing. So instead she uses the same workaround as last time, texting it to Blauer Greif while she keeps singing to keep the pain away from Hannah.

They are her friends for a reason. And everyone is in on helping her because they want to see her get better, not due her uncle a favour and get herself killed. She ends the message by asking her to please contact them if something like this were to happen again. She doesn't really pay any attention to the curious looks others are giving her. She will probably explain later, or they will forget anyway if they don't have contact with magic.
Hannah Steiner Hannah rolls her sightless eyes!

"Mein dear relation would have involved much more 'attempted murder than herr..." Teeth snap shut, she eats Hematite's name, and then squints vaguely over at the sound of her love's voice!

"Und yet you shall! Whomever has deigned to harm mein beautiful, precious engel shall shudder from the full weight of...the House of..." Her Noble Countess speech falls flat. Why does she feel like the Sankt Kaiser is playing some kind of cosmic joke on her?

"Oh, yes, how simple. Rely upon a TSAB heathen's words und draw us all together. Certainly!" Despite the sarcasm in her words, she doesn't sound exactly against drawing in Chrono to all this group of mixed Earthlings and Space Goers. She's just tired, and is trying to spare poor said Enforcer some anonymity!

"All this sounds like a game, really." She huffs, mostly for Ami's benefit, and leaning sadly upon the Veil, hating herself utterly for it! Then, pondering, she whistles to Lyra. Just to sniff out Ami, if she's okay after all of this!

Hannah accepts the gifts from Rashmi gently, and then? Hannah clings to the books offered, one in particular, the Art of War! There's a deep, deep silence!

And then her head falls, and Rashmi all but pats her on the head while offering her the most purest of advice!

"I..." She shivers. And shudders.

"Have you any idea how hard it is to break against Fate yourself!" She huffs, falling limp in her bed! She know she needs more, after fighting Hematite!

And then she just curls up into a ball, and be they magical or not? Coughs and considers them all.

"I do not wish to see anyone on this world to suffer nightmares. Und so I shall raise a blade upon the enemy! So much as I am able..." She suddenly curls up close, recalling the clash between herself and Hematite!

And feeling oh-so-weak, the sound of her parents' agony easily recalled to her ears!
Amy Faust     Amy listens, and Hannah curls away, and Amy stands. "...I was a mortal, with no power. No power to right the ills of the world. Like all children, I was horrified when I first watched the TV news and heard of suffering halfway across the world. Why wouldn't someone *fix* it, why wouldn't the adults *fix* it?" She clenches a fist.

"A wound rubbed raw again and again. The fire of righteousness inside me, but with nothing to burn but me, until it cauterized itself. That's just the way the world is. Things have to be this way. Until one day, it's just another happening in the background. The latest news story about how people suffered and died somewhere. Oh well, too bad so sad, on to reading today's webcomics."

"I gave up on changing the world. On ever doing anything meaningful. I was just waiting. For, for I don't know what. For things to change, I guess. And then a talking animal offered me the chance to be a magical girl and I took it."

Amy sighs, and begins to pace. "I suppose, one day, even this power won't be enough. It almost wasn't, against Nezha. He should've killed me and I don't know how I remained conscious, let alone able to move. He was so moved by our determination he yielded."

"...I guess I'm not sure where I was going with all this. I don't know what I'll do when I hit my limits. Keep fighting and saving people as long as I can, I guess."
Ami Mizuno Ami Mizuno continues to listen and take this all in as she crosses her arms and continue to tap her chin as she listens to Amy Faust talk about a talking animal. This doesn't sound like Luna so it must be a different one.

She then sighs and reaches down into her backpack (It's always been with her, be quiet. She came here after school!) and pulls out the Mercury Computer. She holds it over Hannah as it lights to life. "Hold still. Please, Hannah-chan." she says bluntly as the Mercury Computer does a scan of Hannah's current state.

The computer is tiny, small, but clearly doing something. Hannah's never seen Ami with this before.

"Yes, all a dumb game." she says, more for Hannah's benefit than her own at this point.

She probably just thinks Hannah is an in the know Civilian like Naru-chan, at the moment. Maybe Hannah had an attempted kidnapping too, she surmises. That seems to be going around.
Coco Kiumi Coco gives Amy a hug at the redhead's speech, even if this probably forces her to stop pacing around the room. "You don't need to worry about that, Amy. We are in this together, exactly just like you helped me with Nezha. "We may have been a bit unprepared then, but we know what we have to work towards now."

"And if you feel like you lose your way, we can take a day off with everyone unwinding somewhere. You just need to recharge your battery, and everything will be good."

She has stopped her song for now, but she will resume in an instant, just quickly addressing what is going on. Like the curious computer that is scanning Hannah. She would want to know what will come out of it, and she will ask at a later time.
Rashmi Terios "Oh good this is gonna be easier," Rashmi mutters upon seeing Ami pull out her own Sufficiently Advanced Technology, and get to work. "Okay, so you're magic too, and you're her roommate. That'll make cornering her for answers easier when she heals up completely, at least."

As Amy tells her story, Rashmi smiles gently, chuckling at the very end of it. "Well... I see why you two get along together at least," she says. "The fact that you *asked* for this makes you so much braver than me, Amy-chan. But like... I know what you're gonna do when you hit your limit. What *you* should have done, Hannah-chan... You ask for help. Because it's not just one of us out there. It's *all of us.* And one person... Even one Hannah... isn't ever gonna be enough. It's only when we're all fighting together that we *know* we can beat whatever's in front of us."

Coco's suggestion earns her an even bigger smile, and a firm nod. "That too. Nobody can survive being a hundred percent on, a hundred percent of the time. So just... Believe in us, Hannah. *Depend* on us. Because we've got your back, no matter what."
Amy Faust > You just need to recharge your battery
Amy looks down at her battery:

                       {|||||||||||||||||||||||||||     }

The soul gem, currently a pendant, is tinged with a little darkness near the top. Battery mostly full!

But, fighting Witches is how she recharges her battery, she *almost* quips, but she knows full well what Coco meant. Still, Coco can see her look down at it and probably follow the thought process.

> You're so brave
"Tch. I was more scared of never seeing magic again, is all. I already had my chance to make something of my life and failed, this is more of a second chance--" She blinks, and turns to Rashmi. "Wait, you didn't *want* this? Is there anything I can do to help?"

And Ami... "I've seen that computer before... did you make it? Or did that magical girl who was using it make it? What *is* it?" She moves a bit closer to look at it.
Ami Mizuno Ami Mizuno is letting the device scan Hannah and she doesn't look away from the screen. "Maybe." she says, with a lopsided smile at Rashmi's words. She does look to Amy though as she blinks once. She answers the question as Amy asks it.. "It's a magic super computer." she says. "I've always had it since I've been 'magic'." she says. It's true as far as she knows!
Rashmi Terios "Whuh? Oh! No that's not what I meant, I mean just, like... I kind of fell into my powers," Rashmi says, plucking at the charm around her neck. "Nobody gave me a choice, it just sort of... happened. And I decided to stick with it, is all. Like... what else are you gonna *do* with power except help people, y'know?"

The computer gets a second, long glance, eyebrows rising appreciatively. "...Does it have a name, out of curiosity?"
Amy Faust     Great. So Ami knows one of the magical girls that saw Amy make a fool of herself. But... No one there knows her civilian identity, at least.

"Super how? Come on, we're in Computer Club, you don't have to give me the layman version."

She turns back to Rashmi. "...Apparently, decide *not* to help people, as evidenced by Hannah's story." She waves at their curled up, sleeping friend.
Ami Mizuno Ami Mizuno continues to let the Mercury Computer scan. Rashmi asks her a question. She answers. "Bob." she says, turning to her with a sidewways smile that suggest it isn't the computer's real name, but something she's using to hide the real name.

She turns to Amy and finally says. "If I had answers. I would tell you. It lets me scan and analyze things." she says, more politely as she turns back.

She then finishes her scans, apparently and puts the computer back into her backpack. "I'm going to need to go soon. But yes. I'll. Speak to her later about. Things." she says as she starts to leave. "When there isn't so many others around. Probably when she's released and we're both back in the dorm."
Amy Faust     Amy raises eyebrows. *Oof*. If she knew how it worked she'd be eager to finally have a chance to gush about it, right? So she doesn't. God, *that's* gotta be frustrating for one of the smartest girls in school. Amy feels for her.

At least Ami doesn't have a *college degree* and have to listen to someone less than half her age explain that magic and devices use math *Earth doesn't know about yet*.

Amy slumps slightly at the memory. "See you in class, then." She waves as Ami leaves.
Rashmi Terios "Bob," Rashmi repeats with a laugh. "Okay... sorry, that may have been a silly question. But, it was really nice to meet you, Ami-san," Rashmi says again, stepping back to allow Ami a clear path out of the room. "I hope we get to meet again under... y'know... better circumstances."

Taking in a long breath, she slips around to the shopping bag to empty its contents in a stack on the end table. 'The Art of War,' and a few battered light-novels of the kind she thinks Hannah would appreciate, about a girl from Earth, isekai'd into becoming the general of a fantasy nation. Volumes 1-6 of the story, at least.

"...Hey, Amy-chan? I have a question. You don't have to answer if you don't want, but like... You'd go with Hannah-chan if she found a way off Earth, right?"
Amy Faust     Amy stretches as the room gets slightly emptier.

    Rashmi asks a question.

"Heck *yeah.*" She turns around. "A chance to see other worlds?? More advanced technology? A world where *magic* is everywhere? Of course I'd go. Earth needs help too, but..."

Amy frowns at a thought. "I guess I don't know if there are Witches on other worlds. Still... Even if I have to limit my magic use 'cuz I can never recharge again... I'd get to see other worlds... and be with Hannah, you know?"

"Magic is technology out there, apparently, so I'd still get to use it that way. And more importantly... I'd get to *have a life*." She looks at Rashmi. "The little things like trying on yukatas... the big things like having a girlfriend..." Her voice strains a bit as a frog starts to creep into her throat. "Getting to just... *live*... like this... I wanted it all my life, even though I didn't always know it."

"They say youth is wasted on the young, and... *yeah*. If there comes an end to fighting monsters? If we save the world, and I don't die first? I'm touching grass and savoring every moment of it."

"What about you?" Amy cocks her head. "Do you wanna go to space? *Magic* space?"
Rashmi Terios "Honestly?" Rashmi says, with a quiet chuckle. "I don't actually know. I mean, if it was just for a bit, even if coming back here means I forget all about magic? Probably. Would I *stay?* I... don't really know. I want to *help* people, right? Whether or not I do it with magic... there's still a lot of help needed here. There's a whole *world* that needs help, magic or no." Tucking a lock of hair behind her ear, Rashmi falls silent for a bit, then shrugs.

"I can't really answer that question, I guess. But as long as I *can* help people with magic, I'm definitely gonna." Looking back up, Rashmi grins. "It sounds like you've got a good dream, though. You should definitely follow it, no matter where it takes you. And hey... if you need help with anything? Seriously, gimme a call. If only because we can't teach Hannah-chan how to rely on people without giving her good examples."
Amy Faust > I don't know.
    Amy shrugs. That's fair.

> Just give me a call.
"Ooh, we should swap numbers and LINE IDs." She pulls out her phone and offers her contact info to Rashmi.

"So... what's your deal, anyway? Magically speaking. What do you *do*, and like, what even is a Device really, and I heard something about Linker Cores and that my Soul Gem apparently functions as one?"
Rashmi Terios "Alien magic space computer," Rashmi replies around a sigh, extracting her own phone for the details swap. "Specialized, like... I'm kind of terrible for actual fighting, but Nicomachea's got a *lot* of stuff for defense and boosting and other support kind of stuff. What's a Soul Gem?"
Amy Faust     "Apparently it's an artificial Linker Core." She clasps her hand around her pendant, then opens it, palm-up, as the soul gem takes its natural shape. "It allows me to use magic. I can recharge it using the grief seeds Witches drop when they die. If it ever runs completely out, I die. Not that I'd last long on the battlefield without magic anyway."

She cocks her head to one side. "Nicomachea? Like Aristotle's ethics?"
Rashmi Terios "That's what he calls himself!" Rashmi says, shrugging, as the red 'glass' at the center of her charm glows faintly and gives a bright << *BONG!* >> of affirmation. "Couldn't tell you why, but yup. And wha-- hm. ...Sounds like our magics're *really* different, and... this really isn't a good place to have the kind of comparative-magic conversations. ...Have you been to the Korma Chameleon yet? Cos I'd treat a weekend lunch there, if you wanted?"
Amy Faust     "Yeah, Mr. [Jikuu Kanri Kyoku]-agent and Hannah were *both* super astonished when they learned anything about how it worked." Amy smiles. "Seems it's really different from however magic works out there. And... I've kept meaning to try that place but haven't yet! Sure!" She holds out a hand for a fistbump.
Rashmi Terios Chuckling, Rashmi raises a hand to return the fistbump -- though it's quite clear it's not a *familiar* gesture for her -- and turns, lifting a hand in farewell. "Trust me, you'll love it! See you later then, Amy-chan!"

And with that, Rashmi heads toward the door, quite happy to allow Amy to have some time alone watching over her girlfriend.
