Owner Pose
Adrien Agreste Inside the room Adrien was currently relaxing on the couch. Or at least he was mostly relaxed. The flatscreen on the wall was currently lit up in vivid color and animation as he deftly manuevers the buttons and joystock of the controller held in his hands. The all-too-familiar music of Mari Kart might manage to drift through the door out into the hall just a bit while he plays.

Not just PLAYS, but teaches Chrono how to as well. It wasn't their first game by far, but he still had a bit more practice than Chrono at this particular game. Rounding the corner with his character he thumbs a button to release a banana.
Naru Osaka It's Friday evening, and homework is, in theory done. Or done enough to have students scattered and relaxing and generally not slaving over books. Naru has eschewed school uniform for a super casual outfit of a t-shirt (The slogon on the front says 'Yes, I run like a girl... try and keep up.'), and a short swirly skirt with cute sneakers. Not exactly dressed up for a night on the town, that's for certain.

Naru pauses to listen just a moment as she hears the video game noises from within and then laughs softly. Clearly someone's home. She lifts her hand to knock, a little louder than perhaps strictly necessary, but Mario Kart.
Chrono Harlaown Chrono Harlaown was... not very good. At all. In fact, he had already crashed three times. This race. Alone. He didn't mind, though. IT was.... relaxed. Simple. Easy. He didn't HAVE to take it too seriously, so he wasn't. And it showed. It was just relaxing fun...

But yeah he also was merciless and had blue shelled Adrien like five times in two races, so maybe he was just a little dick.

However, then the door was knocked on! Chrono blinked a few times before getting up. "I'll get it," he said. He didn't even pause... He just walked to the door and... "Osaka-san? What brings you to our... oh. Coffee?" he asked. Motioning to the lifeline. They all knew the true delight.
Adrien Agreste "Ah, thanks Chrono," Adrien remarks while he keeps up the race long enough to try to avoid that next shell! Darn it. It hits sending him spinning out of control with a sigh.

The pause button is thumbed just at the same time that Chrono greets Naru leaving him free to glance over with a grin. "Naru-chan! What brings you over?" Of course, Chrono is already guessing coffee. Even if that's the case he doesn't mind. "Oh, right you mentioned you'd met Chrono the other day didn't you?" At least that means he wouldn't have to do introductions! Instead he lifts his controller offering, "Care to join us?"
Naru Osaka "Adrien left a thermos at our place." Naru holds it up, as if she needs to provide evidence of exactly why she's visiting. "So as I needed a break, I figured I'd use it as an excuse to come visit."

Naru leans around Chrono and the door to be able to see into the room. "Hi Adrien. Yep, we've met. Heck, it's not even the first time we've chatted /today/." Naru points out and then turns her attention back to Chrono and quirks her head. "Have you warned him yet?"

That question left hanging, Naru considers the offer and she smiles. "Sure! It's been a long day."
Chrono Harlaown Chrono Harlaown gave a small nod. "Oh, yeah. He knows about magic and who I am. Whatever that veil is, I don't think it could withstand for long. He's, in theory, capable of magic as well," Chrono said. Didn't out him, at least. That he was magic. That was his to share.

"Or do you mean something else? Because there's likely a lot of things I'd need to warn him about, admittedly. He's, honestly, the one who usually warns me about things. This planet is weird..." He walked back to the television. "We're playing with old 'controllers', mario kart. It's... 'fun', apparently." Did Chrono even understand the concept?
Adrien Agreste "Warn me?" Adrien had been distracted before but now he was completely focusing on the pair with his eyebrows scrunching together. "About wh--" Then Chrono speaks. Instantly wide-eyed the controller is dropped in his lap as his hands go up to protest. "Wait no-- URrg..."

Slowly Adrien leans forward over his knees just staying there. Because a suddenly dropped controller in the lap isn't always a great thing when it hits just right. Or wrong. He just buries his face in his hands for several long moments before risking speaking again.

"I d-don't know what you mean?" He tries very lamely at this point.

A glance between his fingers is risked at the pair while he slowly sits up again, red-faced. "... I know about Chrono," he finally admits because there was really no other choice, right? "And ah. That's because you're a bit naive about things, Chrono. I mean. Sometimes."
Naru Osaka "Chrono.. seriously? You've forgotten already?" Naru rolls her eyes a little and laughs. "I figured he had to know who and what you are. The betting pool had it for under a minute after you moved in before you just shattered the veil."

Not that Naru is much better, based on /this/ conversation.

"Are you alive over there?" Naru asks Adrien as he collapses on the couch for a moment as she comes more fully into the room and over to offer Adrien his Thermos.

"Short version.. be careful. There's a new not mundane weapon out there, please try not to get shot." Naru summarizes into truly a cole's notes version. "More details available on request."
Chrono Harlaown Chrono Harlaown blinked and then... "Oh... oh. Right. Uhhhhh... right. I uhhh... actually... had forgotten. I ummmm... I was..." Silent for a few moments, he finally just said it. "I was at the hospital. Terios-san was... hurt. Admittedly the uhhh... linker core gun wasn't... really... on my mind when I got back," Chrono said nervously.

CHRONO?! Forgetting important intel? ... Though, at least Adrien would now know WHY Chrono had been kind of... oddly quiet upon getting back. Actually he was often quiet or 'no chill man', so maybe it wasn't that surprising.

"It took about ten minutes after I moved in, actually. But I was being careful." HA! HA HA HA! HA! "But... yeah. What she said. A gun that extracts your linker core apparently. And turns it into a crystal. Sounds... dangerous, admittedly."
Adrien Agreste Adrien Agreste looks up toward Naru at her approach, and question of being alive. "Unfortunately very alive and aware of it," he quips back without really thinking of how dark that may sound. Instinctively he reaches out to take the emptied thermos she was bringing back so he couldn't be *that* near death at least.

At least upon hearing of a weapon he looks properly serious. MORESO when Chrono speaks earning a LOOK from him as it's all taken in. For just a moment he almost looks angry. It fades quickly to concern, even worry, when Chrono goes on about Rashmi being injured.

"Is she going to be all right? And I don't have a 'linker core' so I'm okay there, but I'll be cautious none the less." Pausing, he looks seriously at Naru to correct, "Ten seconds. He tried to get me to believe he was some evil overlord when I first came in."
Naru Osaka "Wait.. What happened to Terios-san?" Naru is distracted from anything else at THAT tidbit from Chrono. "If she's in the hospital, that is not good at all."

"For the purposes of this weapon, everyone has a linker core." Naru notes sidelong to Adrien. "It was a completely normal bystander who it got tested on. He's fine now." A whole lot of leaving off of details, they can get to those later if needed. "Ten seconds does sound about right though."
Chrono Harlaown Chrono Harlaown chuckled at Adrien's antics, shaking his head. "Everyone has a linker core, Adrien. Just because someone rarely thinks doesn't mean they don't have a heart. But yes, he's in the know, but I've never seen him actually do anything magical." Yes. He was, in fact, covering for Adrien.

And he did smile a little wider when Adrien mentioned the overlord thing. "Oh right, heh. I'd forgotten about that. Well... I figured he'd either forget about it if he couldn't remember or I'd get to have some fun. I so rarely get the opportunity to do something that... playful." Indeed. A playful Chrono. Was the world prepared?

However, talk of Rashmi made his smile fall. "Someone named Sunbreaker. Apparently Terios-san hit her wounded hand and well... then she tried to kill her. It sounds like she had to flee before she could... do it. But... well... her device was badly damaged. She's in the hospital recovering. I'm going to try and see if I can fix the former, but... I'm not a device meister. I only know of one and he's... not... an option," Chrono muttered. "I'll need to check with other contacts, see if I can find anyone who knows how to fix them if I can't do it.
Adrien Agreste "Oh." That's really all Adrien can say when Naru explains it was used on a mundane. On an innocent. Chrono's further explanation doesn't help at all as this is the first time he's heard Chrono explain a Linker Core in this way: As someone's heart, or personality or... Goodness.

He rises from his spot to nod toward the pair taking this quite seriously. "I'll be very careful. You should too, Naru." Then he looks past toward Chrono a bit uncertainly. "... Would you like me to go with you when you visit again?" Maybe it would be easier for him. Maybe not.

"I think we should maybe talk a bit about this. Maybe later though," he adds dropping his voice to be heard only by Naru. "I think he needs some time to process things himself."
Naru Osaka Naru frowns deeply. "That.. isn't like Sunbreaker." She comments. "I mean.. okay, Sunbreaker is a bigger conversation than I have in me this evening, but that makes me very worried for Rashmi and Sunbreaker both."

She sighs softly. "I know of a device Meister, can i give her your contact info, Chrono? I don't want to out anyone wihtout their permission." She pauses and then adds. "She's Belkin though, is that alright?"

Naru nods to Adrien at his quiet comment. "We can talk more soon. It's been a rough day all around."
Chrono Harlaown Chrono Harlaown shook his head. "No. I..." He trailed off. For a few moments he was silent. Then, well... he answered Adrien. "Maybe... I... I'll think on it," he said, his arms wrapping around his stomach. "I should probably try and... work on her device now. Before..."

And then he twitched. "Well, as far as I could tell Sunbreaker was absolutely fine, aside from her hurt hand. She certainly had enough strength in her nearly kill Rashmi," Chrono absolutely snapped, before cringing.

"Sorry. Sorry. That's not... it's just a bit... ten... oh god. It's Hannah, isn't it? The belkan? Is she a meister, too?" Upon confirmation he just... sighed, walked to the bed, and collapsed. "Adrien. Please. Make a... something. Something large enough to *drown in*." Ah, so a small one, then.

"It sounds like I'm going to have to prepare for war."
Adrien Agreste Adrien Agreste watches as Chrono literally crashes into his bed. Thermos still in hand he turns back to Naru with a deep breath. "... I'm sorry Naru. Thank you for stopping by and informing me. I think I should probably look after him for awhile now." Coffee was off the table. Maybe icecream. "I'll follow up with you later?" He asks, a bit hopefully, before moving to escort her to the door in a friendly way. "Thank you for the warning as well. I'll take it to heart."
Naru Osaka "I'm not worried about Sunbreaker physically, but her mental state." Naru shakes her head. "Never mind. No matter her mental state, that's unacceptable. I'm sorry, Chrono."

Naru nods in agreement to the guess about Hannah. "She is. Clearly you are familiar with her. If you need me to connect the pair of you, I can." She reaches out to touch Adrien's arm lightly, giving it a little squeeze as he escorts her out. "There's a lot right now, and that's just one more thing. I'll talk to you later."
