Chrono Harlaown Adrien's room looked like it... well. Okay. It looked fine. In fact, it looked better than fine. It looked like Chrono had cleaned up. And Chrono wasn't exactly a messy roommate to begin with. However, he was currently standing in front of a map of japan he'd pinned to the wall... and had a lot of other pins placed throughout it, studying it and seemingly lost in thought.

But there was a small package of camemebert on the counter. Unopened, yet. But it could only mean one thing. Chrono had gotten Plagg something nice to eat.

Which he had, because he needed help from the spirit. And he needed to inform Adrien of his impending departure. Fenyx was in her baby firm form, resting in a little tiny nest made of pillows while her boss made sure everything was ready.
Adrien Agreste The door opens admitting Adrien with his bag slung over his shoulder as usual, and a slightly thicker-than-normal jacket on because of the weather change. That and a blue scarf that's worn draped over in a loose fashion so he doesn't feel too stifled, but so it still shows it off.

As soon as he enters he pauses in the doorway taking in the various oddities. Silently he shuts the door behind him. As soon as it clicks shut Plagg flies out of Adrien's jacket lapel having opted to hide somewhere warmer than usual for today.

"Camembert!? For me? Aww you shouldn't have! ... Don't stop though on my account," he adds flitting over to the cheese to just rub his cheek against it whispering sweet nothings of, "Oh my darling I've missed you sooooo muuuuch," as if it were something more important than cheese.

"Hey, Chrono, uh. What's up?" Adrien inquires looking over to the map curiously with his eyebrows raised. "Something going on?"
Chrono Harlaown Chrono Harlaown gave a small nod. "Yes. Plagg, that cheese is for you, but it's going to Adrien to give to you. He's the one who needs to deal with the smell, after all." The TSAB agent rubbed his chin.

"I'm going to be leaving for about a week, I wanted to make sure you knew. You still have my number in case anything happens, but it's primarily for emergencies." He then glanced towards Plagg. "But, I actually needed to ask you a few things before I left, Plagg. Primarily... you mentioned the dinosaurs before. I take it that means you're quite old, correct? How aware are you of things from about... 14,000 years ago, especially pertaining to demonic contracts?"

WELL THAT'S A WAY TO START A CONVERSATION!
Adrien Agreste "Noooooo... Oh all right at least I'll get it at some point." Plagg sighs dramatically and pat-pats the cheese. "Soon, my love!" ... Maybe Cat Noir got some of his theatrics from the little Kwami?

Adrien moves toward his bed to toss his bag on it. Or more like just set it there, he only 'tosses' it when he's a few steps away. Sitting down he regards Chrono with a solemn nod. "Okay, no problem--" he begins only to look surprised at the questions toward Plagg.

Plagg also looks surprised. "Me? Uh. I am pretty old, but we're usually kept around one area with the Guardians. I guess if you explain it to me I'll see if it brings up any memories?" The Kwami tips his head to one side considering.
Chrono Harlaown Chrono Harlaown gave a soft sigh and walked to his bed, sitting down on it. It was tucked in, properly made. Like a military bed. Of course.

"I'm afraid I don't know much. There were... quite a few. One 'leader' as it were, then his underlings. From what I can tell, the underlings still have a contract of sorts with their leader. More importantly, all of them seem to be trapped in a contract with a demon, one that has apparently managed to follow them even across reincarnations. We're trying to break this contract, but unfortunately the terms are well hidden and we know little about it. I figured it was a longshot, but I should ask you if you had any idea."

"But, well... if not that? I have one other question. You are the kwami of destruction, correct? Can you destroy anything? Even concepts? For example... would you be able to destroy this contract, should it exist, even if it's not a physical thing?"
Adrien Agreste Adrien Agreste and Plagg glance at one another once what details are known are given. As well as the suggestion. Plagg hesitates in responding though his whiskers twitch a bit. For once the usually flippant cat Kwami plops down to sit on the edge of the bed calmly himself listening to it all.

"Mmmmmaybe," comes the halfway uncertain response that doesn't really answer anything.

Adrien opts to speak up at this point. "We know there's a book that details what the Kwami can and can't do, as well as spells that can enhance the powers they already have. Recipes of a sort. It's just..." His head tilts to one side in a very uncertain shrug. "Not fully translated. It's also not in our posession anymore."

"Adrien's dad has it locked up somewhere," Plagg remarks. "Found it on some archeological trip or something. As for what my powers can accomplish, I've never *tried* destorying a concept before. Though my powers are generally only limited by what my weilder can concieve. I mean. Mostly. It's just... You know the easiest way to destroy a concept is to kind of wipe out the people who have it, and I don't get the feeling you or Adrien is into that kind of wide spread destruction."
Chrono Harlaown Chrono Harlaown gave a small nod, lost in thought once again. Making mental calculations. Finally... He shook his head. "So I take it your dad isn't aware of the magic of this world, then? We could steal it, but we'd need knowledge on where it is. Considering the information isn't supposed to be his to begin with, nothing really ethically unsound there."

"In theory, wiping out the demon could solve the problem. I have a few theories on that, but the issue is wiping out the demon without wiping out those currently held captive in its sway. It's like a lost logia that has enslaved the lives of its victims. Not altogether uncommon, but usually quite dangerous. But no. I wouldn't want to risk countless lives in such an attempt. I appreciate the possibility, but well... if it comes to that, I have more precise methods to... well. Destroy such. This world is very strange. Very dangerous, very destructive. But it really does use magic in a way that I never imagined possible. It's... quite breathtaking, in many ways."

"Horrific, but beautiful. Like a planet made primarily of acid." He gave a strange, confused sigh. That was... a thing.

He got to his feet and walked to his familiar, gently scooping her up before pulling out his henshin card.

"Thank you for answering my questions. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be more precise. This... all of this is a cluster, at the moment. But before I leave, is there anything you require of me?"
Adrien Agreste Adrien Agreste clears his throat awkwardly. "I kind of stole it in the first place. Accidentally," he adds quickly. "I just wanted to look through it. He'd left it on his desk and I was curious what was so important to him, and then I saw the images inside of Ladybug and some of the others. It was all in ancient text though. Then I lost it, and... thankfully found it again. I was able to get it back to him but he's had it locked up since."

Fidgeting a moment he just shakes his head. "No, of course my father doesn't know. I would never let me do this if he knew. He found it on a trip with my mother, their last trip before she ..." He trails off, giving a shake of his head. "It's sentimental value to him. She always did like antiques."

He looks to Plagg again, then back to Chrono as he speaks of planets of acid. When he picks up his familiar and the card he nods a single time.

"It doesn't necessarily have to be ... I mean if it's a concept, or a long lost contract, couldn't you just... Fool them all into thinking you found it? Then we can destroy it and maybe with a physical focus, Plagg could destroy the concept of it? Like a proxy?"

A wan grin is given as well as a shake of his head. "No, I'm fine. Check in every now and then though, would you? I might not be able to do much but I can at least help keep your cover while you're gone."
Chrono Harlaown Chrono Harlaown gave a small nod. "Of course. I imagine..." His hand tensed slightly. "... Anything with... my father in it has always been prized by my mother. And if she didn't..." He trailed off, closing his eyes and counting to three. "Something like that likely means a lot. I imagine getting it wouldn't be simple."

Though, he did glance back towards Plagg. "Is... that possible? I mean... if... such a thing could feasibly work, without putting more people at risk? Well... then perhaps we can try that. I may be able to see if making a 'proxy' contract is possible. Because... we might be able to do that. But I'd rather not have it risk the lives of those we're trying to rescue. But if destroying such things... hmmmm. You said the other one... destruction... perhaps your colleague, the one of creation, perhaps she could create a new contract to overwrite the prior one. Well, once she returns."

Chrono gave a soft sigh. "Please... don't take what I say to be an order or anything. A lot of this magic in this world operates in a way... entirely contrary to how it does in all other dimensions. I am, in many ways, feeling out what can and can't be done. I had, admittedly, expected you to laugh off the very idea of destroying such a contract in such a manner..." The fact it couldn't be was... well. Concerning. To say the least. "A whole world of lost logia... long past the event horizon," Chrono mumbled, staring down at his card. For a moment, he wondered what he could even do. If he found the crew... was he just delaying the inevitable? What good did it do to rescue those in a storm onto a sinking ship... when the world itself was already slated to be destroyed? Were they all doomed? How could he help any of them? He was just one agent...

He shook his head and made his way to the window, henshining. "Thank you, by the way. As far as anyone knows, I am leaving with my aunt, Fenyx, for a week. I'll let you know when I am returning. Hopefully with good news."

Then... well, he left out the window, closing it behind him and flying away, Fenyx in tow.
Adrien Agreste Adrien Agreste can only spread his hands in a helpless shrug at the question. "There's no way to know without trying. Ladybug might have ideas herself, too, but it would probably also help to speak to the people that this concerns. Or some of them."

It's the best he could offer at laest as means to try and help. He nods simply as Chrono prepares to go out the window. "Take care, Chrono."
