Norie Okana After hiding in the Dusk Zone, and crying for a good hour or two, she finally had to go home. She turned back into Norie and was sitting at the small table in the main area of the dorm rooms, eating donuts like nobody's business, like there's an overabundance of donuts and she's helping to cull the overpopulation.

She is eating the awful, prepackaged kind you can get in super markets. She's eating the emergency supply. So she must be feeling pretty lousy.

She's kind of wondering when Sarek is going to make it home. She hopes she doesn't get a lecture or anything. She doesn't know how she'll handle it in her current mood.

She stuffs a donut into her mouth and makes a sound. "Ugh. It's stale." she says, as she eats it anyways, just sitting at the table, and looking at the door.

"I hope she makes it home okay..." she trails off quietly.
Veronica Perenna After the run in with Nephrite and La Crima, Veronica had walked away from the temple ethereal, and that's how she is making It back to the dorms.

She is thinking about lots of things on the way back. Namely, what is it with dark energy people getting their hands on her relics like it's in vogue? How is Norie? Sailor Moon got her pretty hard. Is Norie still going to insist her relic belongs to Nephrite? Should she say something about the blasts and javelin she gave to her allies?

When she walks in and sees Norie already in stuffing herself with her comfort food, she goes right back out, turns visible, returns to normal and finally knocks on the door. "Norie-chan, are you there?"
Norie Okana Norie Okana doesn't notice Veronica at first, but the door knocks get her attention. "Oh. You're home. Good." she says quietly, a deep breath, as she sighs. "You can come in. It's fine. I'm not. glowering in dark energy. or anything." she says through the door as she shoves another donut into her mouth and takes a bite.

She sighs a little and waits for Veronica to walk through.

"Sorry about... the thing..." she says quietly, awkwardly, because she doesn't know how else to talk about it.

"Are you okay?" she asks softly.
Veronica Perenna Now she has done what she should have done to begin with, Veronica opens the door with her key and walks in, taking a seat at the table.

She examines what's left of Norie's pile of donuts. How long has she kept them for? They don't look so fresh. "They look pretty old", Veronica comments out loud to break the ice. "I am ok, didn't get hurt", she replies with brevity.

She probably isn't getting any special reply from that, so she continues. "That was chaotic, Norie-chan. It was hard to tell what was happening. Himeko-chan getting involved was a surprise too."

"So, what about you? You don't look good, and Sailor Moon..." she doesn't end the sentence.
Norie Okana Norie Okana snorts. "Well, someone disgraced a shrine, of course you'd summon a ghost that way." she says, rolling her eyes. "Yeah they're not fresh. It's okay. It means I need to eat them anyways." no wasted donuts here. Never ever waste a donut.

She frowns. "I dunno what she did. But it hurt ... on some. Level. It's hard to explain. I had... all my feelings back... but then nothing but misery and...pain..." she says quietly.

She's still eating donuts, still talking in between swallows. "I'll be fine. Are you fine or...?" she asks.
Veronica Perenna "At least, she didn't intervene, or it would have become even messier. I didn't expect I could communicate with her." That was a shock despite the harmlessness of it.

Veronica winces at the description, and combined with how chilly her scream was, horrific probably can't even begin to approach how it must have felt for Norie.

"I am sorry that happened, that sounds extremely cruel, even if it's not what Sailor Moon intended." If only she had some technique like that of Mami, Veronica regrets...

"I believe that was some sort of purification, she has used it a lot while we were holding back the parade of youkai from causing too much chaos", Veronica says.

"I could try telling that to Moon, like some sort of truce. She doesn't use that on you, and she doesn't get pierced by javelins in exchange."
Norie Okana Norie Okana frowns a little. "So dark... things don't...like Purification..." she aid softly as she got up. ran to her room, returned moments later with a big binder, she moved to a new big blank page and wrote this down. She titled the page at the top 'Purification' with an unhappy :( analog emote after it.

She frowned and closed her eyes as she shook her head as she sighed. "I'm not the one that acted first against her. I threw my attack wave after... whatever that was! As long as she doesn't use it..." she says angrily. "I'm not throwing anything at her." she says as she closes her book. "I have things I have to tell Naru now about what I learned about stuff. There. I have things I'm telling about that specific project. It's..."

"I don't like it. It's going to ruin the ecology of the Dusk Zone, it's gonna drive out all the youma and creatures here probably and what's going to happen to them when they start to feed?"

"Well Sparkleskirts are just going to fight and kill them for it." she huffs a little angrily. "It's dumb." she says.
Veronica Perenna "I am sorry you had to go through that, Norie-chan, but you and Nephrite were putting out all that dark energy. That unsettles us, since it puts people in danger." Veronica looks at her with an expression that is both apologetic and displeased.

"I will relay what you said, though. I am actually glad you are fine, Norie-chan. Himeko was understanding too by what she told me, so I think this could have gone a lot worse."

"Sailor Moon isn't going to start barging into the Dusk Zone and use it randomly", Veronica tries to calm her worries. "So as long as everyone keeps to themselves, nobody has any reason to get hurt."

"That specific project? Midnight Tokyo?" Veronica asks. That's the kind of thing they have to avoid. It's going to cause so much suffering.

"I have been checking my book on the way here and Nephrite wrote all over it in a code I can't understand. Do you know anything about it?"
Norie Okana Norie Okana huffs. "You don't understand. This dumb project of Nephrites is going to put a whole lot of everything in danger. The Dusk Zone. Earth. Heck, maybe some other dimensional things we don't even know about!" she says.

"When the Dusk Zone bleeds out .... oh you don't even know the endgoal of Midnight Tokyo? It's to just layer the Dusk Zone on top of Earth! It's.. it's so dumb!" she says.

"But that's not even the dumbest part of tonight. The Dark Energy wasn't even fricken important." she says.

"It was just. Lighting a beacon to bring you there- and I had to just fight- because the whole idea is to bring ''conflict'' to these shrines. Everything else is unimportant! He just needed a ''fight'' to happen there." she says.

"The Book? I don't know anything about his book. Why's it so important to you anyways?"

Pause.

"I never did ask. What do you even DO as a magical girl?" she asks. "Don't you all. Have things to do or protect? Like. Puella are always fighting these Witches and Device Users seem all caught up with these ... seeds or something."

"Or like do you just do whatever you want?" she asks.
Veronica Perenna "I actually understand what Midnight Tokyo is, that's why I am trying to get you to understand why we react so strongly."

Veronica sighs. "And if you think his project is dumb, I don't get why you are helping him by starting a fight. Emitting that quantity of dark energy is suicidal like you experienced on your own. Why are you risking your life for something you call dumb? Please, take care of yourself more."

The brunette twirls her hair to keep herself calm. "Norie-chan, that book isn't his. It's mine, and you could at least have the decency to call it that since it's now back in my possession. Back to Nephrite's code, do you know anything about it?"

"My deal as a magical girl is that I am tasked with overseeing a ward that's currently missing some parts. I am supplementing it with my own energy right while I work on recovering those parts. If I were to disappear before the Ward is rebuilt, the youma sealed behind it would make Midnight Tokyo look cute."
Norie Okana Norie Okana snorts. "Ever heard of Corporate Espionage? I'm going to strike when it's right to make things miserable for this project. For now I'm feeding what information I can to Naru-chan." she says as she nods, matter of factly. "You guys can act more proactive about it than I can." she says quietly.

When she says it's her book, she sigh. "Look. Fine, ''your book''" she says. "-Look, How'd he get his hands on it anyways- he said it was in the hands of some youma? How'd some dumb youma get the book?" she says a little as she shoves another donut into her mouth.

"That much dark energy... did exactly what it set out to do. Draw people to fight. Next time. You should all just leave, because like. He WANTS a fight there. Even the short one we had was probably enough, or find a way to draw the fight away from the shrine." she says. "But I can't think of anything to do that easily..." she says.

"What do you think dark energy is anyways?" she says quietly. "I mean I don't even have a body. I'm just. Made of the stuff." she says.
Veronica Perenna "Well, you could have at least had Naru warn us so we knew not to use anything that would hurt you to that extent. That should have been possible if you were already talking with Naru. That's something I will tell Sailor Moon. I need to see her anyway to talk about the writings", Veronica replies back, peeved that Norie getting as hurt as she did was something completely avoidable, assuming what Norie is saying is indeed true. She will have to check with Naru later.

"The gist of it is that the big 4 youma I have mentioned sent their minions together with the energy pieces here to make my job as hard as possible", the brunette mentions briefly. "They weren't even supposed to have physical form until they fashioned the fragments that way to make them even more enticing."

Veronica gets seriously irked. That too is something she could have told Naru. Ugh, either so much of that was completely unnecessary, or Norie is trying to administer her the worst lie ever. Neither option is nice. "Alright, if you don't want to talk about the code, please tell me this: what's the relationship between Naru and Nephrite? The latter has treated her as a close friend throughout."

"And that's all the more reason you need to tell people what's going on, so risk can be kept under control. If Moon knew, she wouldn't have done that."
Norie Okana Norie Okana frowns. "I didn't even know it'd hurt me! I don't even know what... ''purification'' is yet, except it seems to hurt the bejeebus out of me. Besides, it's not like I didn't deserve it..." she trails off. "It felt at first like that girl's rainbow..." she thinks quietly.

She shakes her head. "I'll ask Riven-senpai about this later. He probably knows what I'm talking about, but he hasn't told me to avoid anything..."

"Look. I was in on this basically last moment, I didn't have time to text anyone about it." she says.

"Just. You know. I..I'm not a monster even if I look like that. R-right?" she stammers at the end quietly.
Veronica Perenna "You not knowing purification was a thing doesn't matter. For all you knew, you could have just been hit by an incredibly strong laser or something. Please be more careful, ok, Norie-chan?" Especially with how she drops she has felt something like that before. Veronica is tentatively concluding that Norie is telling the truth, she just got distracted. "What kind of rainbow are you talking about?"

"Yes, please do me a favour and ask Riventon to give you a complete list of what you should avoid", Veronica says. "You really need to look after yourself more, Norie-chan."

"Yes, Norie-chan, I know", Veronica says. She knows about her circumstances. "You just need to try to avoid things that would hurt you anyhow."
Norie Okana Norie Okana shakes her head. "Big lasers won't kill me. Big swords, big whatevers ... things. I mean. It'll hurt like hell." she says dryly. "I've.." she says. "Look. Just trust me. Most things just. Make me go 'splat' and I reform and it hurts a lot and costs a lot of dark energy to be hit like that..." she says. "But I'm fine. Things don't... don't normally.. make me feel like...normal before....before.... stripping me of my humanity." she says dryly.

"Like my being is being ripped apart." she says softly. "I'm supposed to be functionally immortal and apparently was invincible to long term destruction. Maybe..." she pauses a moment.

"Maybe it's good someone can..." she shakes her head. "Nevermind. I'm gonna. ...I'm gonna laydown. This'll probably be another dream coming I gotta get over." she says softly.
Veronica Perenna Norie is functionally immortal? That Is quite wondrous, is Veronica's first thought, before her roommate starts describing how hellish is it for her to reform. "That sounds horrible", she winces.

> Maybe it's good someone can...

Can what? Is she thinking about that? Is that really the point she has been pushed to? And she talks like her coming dream is going to a nightmare as she retires to her sleep. "See you later then", she opts to say in the end. "I hope your dreams are actually peaceful."

And with that, Veronica too retires into her bedroom.
