Mio Morita Penguin park is quite busy on this lovely Saturday morning. The sun is happily hanging in the sky. Kids are yelling and running around. There is someone playing music on a violin. Ducks are happily swimming on the pond. Everything is as it should be. Perhaps the only thing odd going on today is a line of people going in front of a large table.

Mio is out and about today. Turns out today is the day she decided to take the money she made for the homeless and use it to buy food. She got all sorts of sandwich stuffs which she is using to feed the homeless. One by one they come up and she issues sandwiches left and right. There are a number of smiles as people come hungry and go with full bellies.
Cure Peace Yayoi Kise is in the park today. She has her sketch pad with her today and is drawing, of all things, Mio serving the homeless as she hums a little, pencil moving back and forth over the paper as she captures the lovely Saturday morning. She hums to herself and keeps the sketchbook close to her body however.

As if it's a treasure no one else must see.

Still. Yayoi continues sketching for now, as she she hums to herself. She should go over and introduce herself when she's done sketching!...

Or...or maybe not! She thinks, oh dear, what if she dislikes the art she just drew? What if she drew her wrong!?
Amy Faust EARLIER
Mallory shuts off the alarm, rolls out of bed tiredly, and trudges to the bathroom. Geeze, he must be REALLY sleepy, it feels like he's somehow going slower than usual. Avoiding looking at his reflection as usual, he reaches for his toothbrush, only for his fingers to bump the edge of the sink. Huh? After some fumbling, he grabs hold of the toothbrush anyway...

And then it drops into the sink as the memories come back, and adrenaline pushes away the haze of sleep, and he looks in the mirror. Despite the memories, for a disorienting fraction of a second, his brain wonders who that girl is, why she looks so shocked, and what he can do to help her -- before part of her brain catches up and goes that's YOU, dummy.

NOW
The invitation to Radiant Heart Academy -- as a STUDENT -- under the name AMANDA FAUST, which very few people should know, certainly no one HERE -- resolves some questions but invites a whole lot more. At the moment, she's decided to go out for a walk this quiet Saturday and just... look for things out of the ordinary. Like, if all of that happened, is this one of those deals where suddenly she'll see magic and magical creatures everywhere that used to be hidden from her as a mundane? Did a lot of stuff just CHANGE? Is everything going to seem NORMAL except her? Making this observation will help her understand what's going on.

So it is that the small redhead with a bad case of bedhead that *somehow* manages to just look adorably mussed and in need of brushing instead of turning her into Cousin Itt, is walking down the sidewalk by the park. She's wearing a T-shirt and a red jersey-knit skirt that falls just past her knees (clothes she was wearing when she detransformed, which are all she has that fit her at the moment) although perhaps more notable is the big green jacket that is way too big for her and that she seems to almost hide in sometimes.

OKAY, so, no magical shit all over the place. Good to know. The sound of a... violin? draws her attention and she wanders into the park, smiling and just listening. She claps after the performance, only to end up shaking her hands (which make the jacket sleeves cover and hang over them) as ow, they kinda sting. The hell?!

A teenage girl has a table with sandwiches to feed the homeless. It's good to see this generation is so kind... and ooh, someone is drawing something? Drawing is interesting... He wonders what it is. A lifelike sketch? A manga idea? It'd be creepy to approach and ask, though...

OH WAIT RIGHT. Maybe not? Spurred on by curiousity and some ineffable desire to test something, she walks up behind Yayoi. "Um... what are you drawing? If you don't mind my asking." Amy's eyes widen a bit. This is the first she's talked to someone today, and the sound of her own voice is still surprising. Kinda nice, but surprising.
Mio Morita "Here you go. Hope you have a lovely day." The girl at the table says to a person who just got a sandwich. "Oh! Good to see you here too. I'm glad you are doing well." She comments to the next person, seeming to actually know the people she is serving. Does she know them? By the sound of it she does but it is a bit of a question.

After a few minutes there is a lull in the group of homeless people coming up. Its about that point she notices the two girls. One drawing, the other asking about the drawing. So Mio gathers some sandwiches and a couple drinks and walks over to them. "Hello! I don't think I have seen you around school, My name is Mio Morita. Nice to meet you both. Would either of you like a sandwich? I got plenty over there." She smiles and sticks her hands out to both of them, a sandwich in both hands. "I also have a few drinks for you too but my hands are kinda full at the moment." She giggles.
Cure Peace Yayoi Kise seems to ''jump'' when someone comes from behind and "Yipe!"s audibly with an 'awk!' and hugs her sketchbook to her body. "Nothing! I was drawing... nothing, yes, nothing at all!" she says with closed eyes, more loudly than she should.

She then blinks when Mio, the girl she was sketching earlier, arrives at them and she has a 'sandwich' offered to them and she gratefully takes it. "U..Um tank you, Morita-san." she says, with a short bow before placing the sandwich down on her upside-down facing sketchbook now. Nope. No one is seeing that art. Nope nope nope. >,> <,<

"It's a good deed you're doing!" she says with a smile.
Amy Faust     'Nothing at all', huh? It's okay, it's normal for teenagers to have such interests! "A-ah, sorry, I didn't mean to pry..." Amy starts to back away, but then suddenly Mio. Who doesn't recognize her from school. Of course not! "I [ore] uh I [atashi]... am... a transfer student! O... I mean, I just got my invitation..." In her jacket pocket, she rubs the envelope between her thumb and forefinger, as if reassuring herself that it's still there.

She glances down at the offered food. "...Those are for the homeless, aren't they? I wouldn't want to deprive them of food... they need it more than me, you know?"
Mio Morita "Oh I always bring extra. I never know when I am going to run into others who could use some food. Its fun!" Mio smiles and bows politely. "I'm in a lull at the moment. People usually show up in bursts."She grins and offers both of them drinks. "Just in case you need a drink." She smiles again seeming to do that a lot.

She turns her attention to Amy and she beams, "Oh that is so cool! I'm happy you are joining Radiant Heart! I attend there myself. I really like it. Still not quite used to the school uniform but it is rather cute!" She laughs. "Wearing a sailor suit is kinda fun." She laughs

She then goes back to the comment about her feeding the homeless. "Umm I actually do this frequently. I like helping people. I want to bring hope to others and this definitely brings hope." She sees people starting to line up again. "Oh! I need to get back to work. If you'd like you can join in too!" She offers to them.
Cure Peace Yayoi Kise eats her sandwich and also accepts the drink, drinking it as she mmmms and gently places her hands to her cheeks. Those we're delicious. "MMmm..." she says before she blinks and is offered a chance to help.

She stands up and takes her sketchbook with her as she looks to Amy and says. "It's...it's fine." she says as she looks forward again. "I'll help! I don't make very good sandwiches though..." she says, looking down a little with a blush.
Amy Faust     "'Fun...'" Amy echoes quietly as she takes a sandwich, stuffing it in the other pocket so she can take the drink. Sssiiip. She smiles. "Thanks."

And then... Oh wow Mio sure is excited. The new girl blushes at someone being so earnestly *enthused* about her joining them. Ah... [Or--]... ah... is it?" She can't help smiling at seeing this young girl so eager to help people. "That's wonderful of you... [O--]... uh... sure..." She follows Mio back to the table. No reason *not* to help people, after all.
Mio Morita "Hows this, I will make the sandwiches, you both give them out!" Mio quickly moves behind the table and starts making sandwiches. She is quite quick with it. They are simple sandwiches. Mostly ham and cheese. She puts them in bags with a mayo packet and a mustard packet.

She smiles to her new friends, "What is your names by the way?" She asks curiously as she continues making sandwiches. Her attention shifts to someone in line, "Oh hi Tanaka-san I hope you are doing well."

"Hello Morita-san, its a good day when you are out here bringing food!" He comment as he accepts a sandwich and a drink and wonders off.

"It feels so good to do this!" Mio exclaims as she goes back to making sandwiches.
Cure Peace Yayoi Kise 'ohs!' rather loudly. "I am. Yayoi Kise." she says softly. "Uhm. Art and .. Anime Club." she says. as she bows again and then helps make sandwiches , premaking them for Mio, except she goofs up with the packets, missing one every so often, or giving double of one or the other. She's kultzy about it but it doesn't seem on purpose. It's like she's overtrying.

She still makes the sandwiches as she fumbles about.

"It's a nice day to do this at least!" she smiles. "Nice and warm!"
Amy Faust     NAME. It's okay! You're ready for this! Just state it confidently! Amy affects a confident smile. "[Ore wa]--" F---! "[A-atashi wa A-ma-n-da.]" Her smile looks considerably more awkward and nervous after that fumble. "Whhhhhat's your name?" Oh, but one of the people in line says that for her. "Morita-san..." she smiles warmly, "Nice to meet you! You too, Kise-san!" And that's piqued her interest. "Anime club? What are your favorites?" She asks as she steps up to the table, handing the bags to each person in line with a smile.
Mio Morita "Mio Morita." Mio states with a big smile on her face. "You can call me Mio if you like." She continues working on the sandwiches. She notices Yoyoi messing up and also notes how much she is trying. So she doesn't say anything. "You are right about that Kise-san! It is a beautiful day for this. I am just happy to have help."

She grins being told of the clubs that Yayoi is in. "Oh those sound like fun! I'm in the Hero club!" She comments before looking over at Amanda. "Do you have any idea what clubs you wanna join?" She asks curiously." She quickly puts together another couple sandwiches and then hands some sandwiches out to a couple of the of homeless people.
Cure Peace Ham, Cheese, bread. Ham, cheese bread, ham cheese, bread, ham ham bread, cheese cheese, bread, ham, bread, cheese. Okay she's starting to make more mistakes and 'mouuuuuuuus' about it loudly as she tries to fix her mistakes quickly before they reach the bags.

She also slips up and knocks her sketchbook over and everyone can see her picture of Mio making sandwiches for homeless people now as she quickly hands the next bag over to Amy.

She answers Amy's question. "Oh, I like.. lots, really! Too many to name but. I like... ''superheroes''." she says with wide eyes. Hands clasping in front of her momentarily. This'll give her a moment to get her bearings again maybe, a short break from sandwich making!
Amy Faust     "Ah... Mio-san... that's kind of you. Um... computer club? Maybe anime club? What clubs *are* there these days? ...Wait did you say *hero* [yuusha] club? What's that?" .oO( Besides two kinds of sandwiches...) she thinks to herself as she looks at the bag she's handing to the next in line, although that pun doesn't really work in Japanese...

"Superheroes huh? I didn't used to like them, but they've grown on me..." Her gaze falls on the sketchbook. "Oh, that's really good! You're an amazing artist!" And then she realizes who the drawing is of, THAT'S why Kise-san was embarassed, and glances awkwardly at Mio to see if she sees it too.
Mio Morita "Yep! Hero club. We help people out. We entertain kids. We even help find homes for kittens. We just do all sorts of things to help people out." She beams happily before moving next to Yayoi. "Hey, Calm down. We can have fun while we do this." She begins showing her how to do it. "One, Two, Three, Four. Bread, Ham, Cheese, Packets. You've got this! Remember, we are doing this to help people but that don't mean we can't have fun while we are doing it. "Remember you are likely to succeed if you try!"

Mio laughs a little to herself. "I'm starting to sound like some of the others in the club! Its kinda cool. We have these tenets in Hero club. They are, give people a good greeting, try not to give up, sleep well, eat well, If you're troubled talk to someone, You're likely to succeed if you try, and don't push yourself and make sure you're happy as well." She smiles bright. "I think they are pretty solid things to live by honestly."
Cure Peace Yayoi Kise blinks. "Huh?" OH NO HER SKETCH BOOK. AND THE PICTURE. T-they can see it. SHe quickly steals it back up and shuts it and places the sketchbook back down and tenses. "Uh. T..thaank you" she says to Amy, But she sweats and looks very nervous about it now, the yellow short-haired girl says.

She takes a deep breath an with Mio's help starts making sandwiches the right way again, that aren't weird ham and cheese monstrosities this time.

"Hero Club sounds good, though...." she says quietly.
Amy Faust     Mio didn't see the sketchbook, apparently, so Amanda won't call her attention to it. She nods along at the description of the Hero club, looking a bit surprised at the 3rd tenet and some of the ones after it. She nods in agreement, "Yeah, actually. It's important to practice self-care, you don't want to burn yourself out in your youth..."
Mio Morita "You speak like someone much older, Amanda-san" Mio smiles a little. "Not that that's a bad thing." She makes a few more sandwiches, still beside Yayoi. She happily gives out the occasional sandwich to familiar faces in the crowd. Slowly the crowd does begin to thin out a bit before it comes to another lull.

Mio smiles as she finishes up the last of the sandwiches. "I love doing this. It feels good to help people out." She blushes a little. "I know its silly but its kinda like I'm bringing hope where there is none, you know?"
Cure Peace Yayou Kise continues to make sandwiches until there's a lull and she stops and thinks for a moment. Hope where there is none. She huhs a little and blushes a little as she looks to her side. "Well." she says. "I mean that's good!" she says softly.

"I mostly just stick around the A-Art club and A-nime club guys mostly and.. we don't really do stuff like that." she shifts. "I mean sometimes, we donate art and stuff to new places that need it.. but I think... that's the extent.. really.." she says softly.
Amy Faust     Amanda twitches slightly at Mio-san pointing out her slip... well, okay, it's not like ANYONE would suspect the truth. People don't know magic is real and only someone who's read too many manga would even THINK of something like this. "Ah... I... read a lot of books... I guess I picked it up from there..."

She shakes her head. "It's not silly! It's good that you want to help people! That you like helping people!" she insists, earnestly. "I might... it might be nice to give this Hero club a try..."

Then she looks to Kise-san. "A-ah, of course, not everyone has to... I mean, uh... the point of Heros doing what they do is that not everyone HAS to, right? That people can have normal lives, doing what makes them happy..."
Mio Morita Mio brightens as she looks at Yayoi. "You've got something you are passionate about. That's a good thing! You enjoy Art and Anime. You are a creative person and creativity makes the world more interesting. I mean imagine if everything was all the same all the time. It would be super boring. Keep drawing, Keep interested in anime and be your awesome self, Kise-san.

She turns her attention to Amy and laughs, "Its okay. It was just something I noticed. I didn't mean to embarrass you or anything." Then at Amanda's comment about her not being silly, "I want to make a difference in the world. You know? Not just give out food but make a difference on a bigger scale. Maybe bring hope to people who really struggle to find it." She then lights up over hearing that Amy might try out the Hero Club. "Oh cool! that would awesome! I look forward to seeing you there!"
Cure Peace Yayoi Kise picks up her sketchbook. "Mortia-san. Amanda-san. I need to leave now. I'll. See you both later." she smiles. She then grabs her sketchbook, closes it and takes off quickly down the path.

"Oh! I'm late!" she says. "I need to help setup for the dance...!" she says softly as she picks up her walking pace some suddenly. run run run!
Amy Faust     Someone looks forward to seeing her? And Mio-san seems so earnest, this isn't the rote response of a tired coworker making obligatory small talk. Feeling so welcomed by this girl... feels nice. "How is the Academy? As a school I mean. Do you like it there?"

And then Kise-san is running off! Amanda waves, "Bye-eeee! It was nice to meet you!" She blinks at Mio. "Wait, dance?"
Mio Morita Mio smiles as she considers the school. "I like the school. Its very nice and the people are really cool there. The classes are good. We have amazing teachers. And the clubs are really good." She doesn't say anything about there being magical girls at the school because she's the only one that she is sure that goes there!

"Oh Goodbye Kise-san! Thank you for your help. Good luck with your art and with the anime club!" She grins.

Her attention goes back to Amy and she nods. "Oh yes. There is a dance tonight. I dunno if I am going to be there as I was doing this stuff all day. But yeah a lot of the school is going to be there."
Amy Faust     Amy listens. Well, if an actual student thinks the school is good, hopefully going there as a student won't be too bad. "Ah. Mood. I never went to school dances... I mean... stuff like that. I don't... I mean, I don't have a girlfriend... I mean boyfriend..." Wait, this is one of TODAY'S KIDS, they are a wonderfully accepting generation! "Well, either. To go with."
Mio Morita "Hey, I don't judge. It's your preference. I am demisexual myself." She smiles and hands out the last of the sandwiches. "All done for today!" She grins and slowly starts packing her things up. "Are you planning on going to the dance tonight? It will probably be fun and some of the others from the Hero Club might be there. Togo-san and Itsuki-san are both really wonderful.
Amy Faust     Amanda blinks. "D-demi? What's that?" She tries to help pack things up. "Uhhh... Is it okay for me to go alone? Do I need to register or anything?" But, if she goes alone won't she just look like a loser...?
Mio Morita Mio smiles, "It means that I don't want a relationship with anyone unless I have a real emotional connection with them. That might take a long time to develop but it will be worth it. I just know it." She smiles at the thought of finding love. Then she remembers Blue's words. That wipes the smile off her face. "Some times there are things that are worth breaking the rules for, right?" She asks curiously.

"Oh, right. Sorry. I umm, don't know. I don't see why you couldn't go on your own. Its really just a thing so students can get to know each other after all."
Amy Faust     Amanda blinks again. "Isn't that just... normal? Who would want a relationship with someone they barely even know? I mean, unless they're..." err wait, how can she phrase this, "thinking with their... you know... just trying to get in someone's pants. But that's not really, like, a *relationship*, you know?"
Mio Morita Mio shakes her head. "Its different. Believe me. I would would rather just be 'normal'. If that emotional connection isn't made I won't feel any physical desire to be with someone, like ever." She laughs, "You're right about that though. That is not really a relationship when people think like that."
Amy Faust     Amanda looks increasingly like she's been told everyone else sees the sky is green. Which... okay, having just found out magic is real yesterday, isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility! "Uhh... I don't... why would they... how is this not 'normal'..." The anxiety of a lifetime of being Weird wells up inside her, and she takes a step back. Nodding at the latter comment, eager to grab onto any thread she can hold on to. "Y-yeah! Exactly! It's *not* really a relationship without that connection." Wait is THIS why he even went on a single date in all those years?? And he finally finds out from some random teenage girl, after being turned into one herself?! This is ridiculous, isn't it?! She's been worried about how to handle magic and monsters and the whole... *situation* all afternoon and then WHAM! Now there's THIS? And she doesn't even get it! Like she's being told magic exists but still can't see it!
Mio Morita "Just trust me, Its not the same. For a normal relationship, after a date or two, they can decide if its worth pursuing. With me, it takes longer? I'd have to form a real emotional bond with them before I even begin to feel attraction to them." She tries to explain. Its a complicated thing and she knows it. Mio just sighs before shrugging. "Like I can appreciate if someone looks hot but I won't feel that attraction to them unless I build that emotional bond first. I could be with the hottest person at the school but I won't feel attracted to them unless I have the emotional bond with them." She smiles.
Amy Faust     Amanda stares. "But... if you think they're the hottest person at school... isn't that attraction? If it's not, what is?!" She takes another step back. "Are you making fun of me???" She glances around, attention drawn to a passing couple of older students laughing at some joke told between them. They're looking at eachother, not at her, but could they have heard...?

Maybe she's on edge because of everything that's happened and this is just the last straw. Run. Hide. Don't let them see they got to you... Okay that last ship has kinda sailed.

She frowns at Mio. "It's not nice to make fun of people..." She starts backing away.
Mio Morita Mio shakes her head. "Of course not. What I am saying is I really don't notice too much if a person is really hot or not. That is why I said what I did. The whole thing is convoluted you know? I just don't feel attraction like others." She frowns. "I'm just trying to explain because you asked."
Amy Faust     Mio-san is really nice. She was just helping homeless people, and shared food... Amy pats the wrapped sandwich still in her pocket and tries to calm down. "S-sorry. I... I don't fully get it, but you're right, I did ask... and maybe it's hard to explain." She takes a couple steps forward, back to where she was standing, and offers a nervous smile. "It's just... I guess I've been under a lot of stress the past couple of days... it's been a lot, moving and changing schools and everything, you know? I guess it just kinda... built up a little too much, you know?"
Mio Morita Mio smiles a little, "If you're troubled, talk to someone!" She exclaims, quoting the tenet from the Hero Club. "I understand things are crazy. If you need to vent, you can talk to me. I won't tell anyone. I promise." She states giving her word. "Its okay. I understand that its hard to understand. Its very difficult to explain. I just don't feel the attraction the same way. You know?" She sighs. "Someday I am going to figure out how to explain it to others. Right now, I just kinda try my best, you know?"
Amy Faust     Amy lets out a breath, like a slightly longer 'heh' at the callback to the Hero club tenet, smiling a little. Some things are crazy? Amy mutters, 'you have no idea...'

She shrugs. "Well... If I feel it different too, then of course I don't get what you're trying to explain." She sighs and leans against the table. "Yeah... everybody's just gotta try their best..."
Mio Morita Mio smiles and thinks about the craziness of her own life. She literally had a chat with a god recently. Add to that the whole fight with the weird general and being a precure... Its all overwhelming. "I'm pretty sure we could scare each other with the crazy stories we have in this city." She laughs and doesn't go into it anymore. "We should get ready for that dance, if you are going? I can lend you a dress if you need one."
Amy Faust     Scare eachother with crazy stories? "Pffff!" Amanda lets out a laugh! Mio doesn't know the half of it, she thinks.

Ah, yeah, they *should* get going. She nods, "Yeah..."

And then Mio makes an offer. A whole bunch of thoughts hit at once and she tries to find ones that are okay to let out her mouth. "Is this um... not appropriate dance attire? If we're just getting to know eachother..." but what WOULD this body look like in a dress? *No one will know*. They just see the teenage girl. "N-not that I'm... I just... I mean I don't want to trouble you..." she vaguely fumbles.
Mio Morita "Come on." Mio states, leading the way. "We will go to my home, I will help you pick something out for the dance. I'm not going to go due to having been in the sun all day. I am kinda exhausted from the heat. But I have a bunch of clothes that should fit you. You can pick what you want."
Amy Faust     Amy follows, curious. Alright, she'll be dressed properly for the dance, as she has the help of an EXPERIENCED TEENAGE GIRL! "Aww... sorry you have to miss out on seeing everyone." A... bunch of clothes? Pick? "I-I don't know anything about fashion, really... whatever you think would look good..."
Mio Morita "Its okay." Mio smiles a little smile. "I just need a break you know?" She continues walking, having collected the rest of her stuff. "I know a little bit about fashion. Not much. Just enough so I don't look like a complete disaster when I'm not wearing a school uniform. I got a few things though that might look nice for tonight."
Amy Faust     Amy just nods as she follows along. "One of the tenets, right? Taking care of yourself." She starts to nibble on the sandwich as they walk...
Mio Morita Mio leads Amy to her house. There, Mio helps Amy to pick out a dress that fits her and helps her get ready for the dance.
