Scene #919: All Things Come in Good Time

Usagi Tsukino	It's the weekend and Naru and Usagi don't spend every moment of their lives together, which is both healthy and normal and also how days like today happen. After an astounding meeting with Sunbreaker, an incredibly silly youma fight, ''and'' receiving a bad fortune, Usagi is needing a little Naru time. Some Naru perspective. Which means the second Naru walks through the door of their dorm, Usagi is hugging her. "Naru-chan!!! I have had the ''weirdest day''!"
Naru Osaka	Apparently, Naru has been out shopping. At least based on the bags that she's carrying as she opens up the door and she somehow manages not to drop any bags, or coffee or anything else as she's ambushed by an Usagi hug. "Like oversized cockatoo weird?" Naru speculates. "Or like you got an A in math weird? Or like Shingo wasn't a pain sort of weird? I need a scale to evaluate the weirdness on!"
Usagi Tsukino	"Like Sunbreaker was nice ''and'' I fought a lollipop monster ''and'' I'm doomed, weird!" It's truly a lot of weird. She might have cried, honestly, but she's had such a weird day that crying is for once far from her thoughts. Also, despite the grappling hug, her arms are kindly working to not tip Naru this way and that. After a moment, she reluctantly releases Naru and walks back to their couch, which she dramatically tips backwards onto. And Chiyo-chan thought I was cheating on Darien! With Darien!"
Naru Osaka	"Okay wait.. how do you cheat on Darien with Darien?" Naru asks as she's freed to come fully into the room and can put her things down. Getting to, of course, the truly relevant part of this conversation. Naru sets the bags on her bed, digging into one of them to come out with a small box of pastries and wandering over to set those on Usagi's stomach before coming back to sit on her bed wiht her coffee. She wriggles back to be able to lean against the wall. "Sunbreaker totally can be nice! That doesn't surprise me. She's an onion, that one." Naru shamelessly steals material from ogres. "Lollipop monster is.. Okay, that's pretty bizarre, but not like.. unheard of.. and I think technically we're all doomed, so there's that at least." She sips from her coffee, as if that's just nbd.
Usagi Tsukino	"Hematite came to Nounamu sweets to buy those new Silver Crystal lollipops, and Darien ''also'' came, and I mean!! They look the same to me now that I know his identity, so I treated him the same, but to her, she thought he was a different guyyyyyyyy." She covers her face, just thinking about it. "I had to tell her they were the same! She was telling me she understands bad boy allure, but it's not nice to cheat and I panicked and told her the truth about Hemachan." Truly what else could she do, huh? What could anyone ask of her?! The pastries on her stomach are lifted and examined; of course they are found delightful, and of course she immediately takes a bite of one. "One of those Silver Crystal lollipops was changed into a youma and sticking people to it in Pikarigaoka, and fighting it with all those people stuck to it was so weird, and I was really glad ''I'' wasn't stuck to a lollipop." Huff... "And that's what Sunbreaker was nice about. Not the lollipop, the crystal. She... apparently she's the one who made the fake silver crystal, like the one we fought a Witch over," she'd told Naru about the weird handspider witch, of course, "And she made a ton of them and put them all over the city and she gave me their locations. That's a secret, but you're good at secrets, Naru-chan! She... she said she doesn't believe in miracles, but she'd rather I found it than anyone else she works with, or the other mahou." It's written all over the face how absolutely bizarre she'd found the encounter to be.
Naru Osaka	"That.. that actually kinda makes sense." Naru starts to giggle at Usagi having to explain that Darien is, indeed, Darien. "How'd she take it? I mean.. we're so used to it.. I forget that other people might not know." "Okay youmas are bad enough, but /sticky/ youmas? Ew." Naru has decided on that with a wrinkle of her nose. "Like.. seriously ew." "Hunh." Naru takes a long sip of her coffee as she considers Sunbreaker making fake crystals and then telling Usagi about them. "Why did she make them in the first place if she was just going to tell you about them later? Or did she have a change of heart, or something happened? Did she say?"
Usagi Tsukino	"I know! I just... Forget that people don't just know everything I know, so I thought, of course she knows, and she did not." Unfortunately for Usagi's dignity. "She asked if he was evil, and I said a little? But not really. Otherwise she was a little embarrassed, but not as much as me!" Lament, mourn, pityyyyyy. "I know, right?! It had a group of salarymen and some kids stuck to it, and we had to peel them off after we got it trapped." Nevermind that she had Not touched anything sticky herself, that was irrelevant. The we of the group was what mattered. "That was... I think, also because of Hemachan. They ''really'' don't like each other, and she made them so it would be harder for him, I think. She made me promise I wouldn't tell anyone, but you don't count, because she was going to have ''you'' tell ''Sailor Moon'' to meet her anyway, so obviously you would know!"
Naru Osaka	"Ewww. Like sugary Katamari Damancy? Ewww." Naru shakes her head. "Youmas are weird." As if that's the weirdest they've faced so far.. not even by a half. "They really /really/ don't like each other." Naru agrees on the topic of Hematite and Sunbreaker. "So you bumped into her as Sailor Moon, or she knows you're Sailor Moon, or how?"
Usagi Tsukino	"Exactly like that! Exactly like that. It was as gross as you are thinking." She wrinkles her nose, and then sighs, lifting her head to stare deadpan at Naru. "She came to our dorm to look for you and asked Usagi Tsukino to give a message to Sailor Moon." What is her life, huh?
Naru Osaka	There's a pause and then Naru can't help but burst into giggles. "OMG that's.. " And then.. more giggles. "That's /so amazing/." She finally manages, almost wheezing with laughter. "And you managed to keep a straight face?" Naru asks, still half giggling as she does.
Usagi Tsukino	"Barely and only because Luna wasn't there too!" Usagi has to fight back a smile. "It's so ridiculous. I haven't seen her since I saved her life, and it's like this, and she's helping me - and she thinks I'm stupid but she also called me her rival and she wants me to find the crystal if anyone does and... life is... really something, you know?"
Naru Osaka	Naru can't help but start to giggle again as she listens to all of the mixes and matches of it all. "Sometimes, not having a secret identity is just so much easier.. but this is /hysterical/." "Do you have any leads on the crystal? I mean.. now you know that there's a bunch of fakes, but of the real one?" Naru manages to stop laughing enough to drink her coffee.
Usagi Tsukino	"Not even a single one," Usagi groans, low and from the heart. "There's no records anywhere, there's plenty of people talking about it but no one's got any ideas, Luna doesn't have a magic detector or anything... I'm starting to wonder if we have to find the princess to find the crystal, and you'd think it wouldn't be so hard to find a princess, but there's like five at this school!" Radiant Heart Academy is Not A Serious Place. "I'm starting to think Himeko-chan might actually have a lead on all this and if that's the case - I feel even ''worse'' that she went into the death void!"
Naru Osaka	"Luna really should have a magic detector." Naru commiserates. "It seems like something she totally should be able to do." She mmms softly, considering the Too Many Princesses Problem. "Himeko-chan might have a lead.. and well.. like.. all of this is fated and reincarnation and everything, right?" Naru asks slowly, thoughtfully. "I'm not saying don't keep looking.. but mebbe we just need to give fate a bit of time to get itself together. All things come in good time, and all of that?"
Usagi Tsukino	"Maybe if I shake her one will fall out of wherever she keeps our communicators and pens," Usagi huffs, intending absolutely no such thing. She's relaxing in spite of herself, because Naru is and always has been her best friend, the person who knows her best, the person she can rely on the most. She wouldn't make a suggestion without thinking about it, would never try to lead Usagi to a bad end. "Mhm. Destiny and reincarnation and wheels of coming back together... maybe you're right. Maybe if we just calm down, it will all fall into place?"
