Bow has posed:
After talking with Koji via texts and setting up plans to go camping, Luke Armbruster had caught a ride up to the Hikawa Campground. The trip for the most part had gone pretty well, right up until the point that Swiftwind, being the curious type, wanted to stick his head out the window and take in the fresh air away from Tokyo proper. Which has spawned a whole different discussion that Koji and Bow will come back to later.

As he helps Koji unload the gear from the car, Bow is looking pretty apologetic. "I told him to keep quiet, I didn't mean for him to..." A sigh and a shake of his head. "I'm glad that your mother was okay with it." He finally offers, still some redness in his dark cheeks. And then he's stretching out as he looks around. This. This is what he needed and had told Koji what he was looking for when he had sent that accidental text.

Before them is the Hikawa Campground, popular with locals, but still a relatively well-kept secret beyond those in the know, the area of Okutama is an excellent summer retreat just a short trip from inner-city Tokyo. Home to the picturesque and clear Tama and Nippara rivers, this mountain surrounded, a foliage-carpeted pocket of Japan is the perfect place to set up camp in escape and enjoy the rejuvenating Japanese traditional of shinrin-yoku -- also known as 'forest bathing' or in layman's terms --- immersing yourself in nature.

In terms of categories, this campsite sits nicely in the middle of the spectrum between 'back to basics' and 'glamping.' On-site you'll find nearby convenience stores, BBQ facilities, and rental shops where you can pick up any necessities you may have left at home.

"Thank you for the ride, Missus Silvia!" the Etherian archer offers as he gathers up his gear to shoulder, able to easily shoulder a load. "I saw a good place to set up over there!" he gestures to a campsite near the river, a nice little place that's a little secluded, and allows for Bow to kinda ignore the shops, and try to get a feel of what the world is like.

It is late in the afternoon, still plenty of sun, but it won't be long before it starts to dip low, and then darkness would come. It's still a new idea to Bow, sunrises, sunsets. He's used to the moons of Etheria handling such things.

As he walks, Swiftwind is trotting next to him in his small alicorn form. "You know, I could tell!" he says, a small snort as he shakes out his wings.

"You could not. Just be glad his mother didn't completely freak out when you appeared." A sigh. "I know, it's hard. We're going to get Adora back though and I'm sure you can fill her in on everything."

"No way, we're guys! This is our secret!"

And that makes Bow laugh outright. "At least Sea Hawk isn't here to set his ship on fire." A small smirk. "But I did bring my violin." A glance over to Koji. "A friend of ours hired someone to kidnap us for an adventure. Except real kidnappers showed up instead of the actors he paid... it was interesting."

Koji Silvia has posed:
Shia Silvia observes the two boys from her borrowed company car as they head up towards the campsite, and then the pink-haired woman in her 40s yells out between puffs on a vape pen that looks more like a cigarette than it should, "You have fun with your friends, Koji! Send me a text to remind me when you all need a pick-up!" And with that, she turns to depart, taking the sleek black company car with tinted windows and no discernable logo except for the plates on it away from it's interruption of the pastoral landscape of the curated camping ground.

For himself, Koji is dressed for the weather. A forest-green all-weather jacket with a sweater and scarf on under it, and another treat that he showed Bow on the way up. Lined jeans. In his case, the interior is a cozy flannel. Heavier boots that look like they're relatively new, and the big backpack slung over his back with most of what he needs comes with him as he carries with him in one gloved hand the bag with what he called a Campfire Cabin tent, the other packing along a moderate-sized soft-side cooler that is stuffed to bulging with enough for a few meals for them. Despite his small-seeming frame, even if he is taller than most of his class by a couple inches, he seems to be carrying it all well, or is at least used to rucking heavy loads about.

"It's alright, Bow... like you could tell... this isn't her first time." Koji replies to all of that, and then as the spot is picked out, "I'll go make sure our reservation for it is set up." And he vanishes quickly at the camp office, only to return with a receipt.

Once they arrive at the campsite plot that Bow picked out, he looks to the pair and says, "We set up first, including clearing anything away from under where the tents go. Once we're done we can go to the camp store and get firewood and charcoal, and any other snacks we want before we settle in. Oh, don't forget to grab a garbage bag while we're there. Everything we bring in to the site goes out with us."

From there, it's to work for him... taking out a jungle-gym's worth of tent-poles that he assembles into the the cabin-style frame of the big tent, then lays out the shelter under it all. Checking to make sure that the poles are in their slots, he starts to clip the tent into place over the whole thing, turning it from a pile of layered material into a proper-looking tent! Next comes the rain-cover, that he has to throw up and over before he can attach it to the top, and then finally, using a camping axe that looks to be older than him, he uses the back to tamp down a set of eight pegs, adjusting the lines to give the tent it's rigidity. The last step is opening the awning and setting up the final two poles and tension lines, and the whole thing is ready and looks like more than half a dozen people could stand around inside, or under the shelter.

Setting the backpack and cooler inside, he rapidly deploys a cot with legs to avoid the cold ground, a small table that he puts the cooler bag on, and finally assembles a small metal stove that has a chimney that fits through a pre-made slot in the tent's ceiling. The rest is left for the moment just in the big backpack as he steps back to look at his handiwork, "Etheria sounds... different. But then again, I was in a high speed skyscraper battle against a little girl wielding a scythe made of light, so... a botched fake kidnapping sounds like something I'll see eventually. Anyways... what do you think?"

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Not long after Bow and Koji start to to set up there's another car that pulls up near where Koji's mother had dropped them off. Except it's not a car... It's a limo. An entire. Limo. With black tinted windows and a rather large, gorilla-esque driver who draws to a stop and gets out only to shuffle back to the trunk.

The rear door opens as Adrien gets out dressed for chillier weather in at least a zip up jacket. It was warmer than the basic white shirt he wore over his t-shirts usually. It even had a hood! Down for the moment, but a hood. He's got some hiking boots on (were there snakes in Japan? Probably) and he seems pretty well prepared over all.

Hurrying back to the trunk he starts taking an overly large packed bag from the driver. "Thanks! I'm really looking forward to this!" He shrugs it on, the pack looking more as if he was going to go mountain climbing than camping for a weekend. Then he reaches in to pull out a small cooler as well before he turns to start heading for the camp. Slowly. He was pretty strong for as skinny a guy as he was, but he was loaded down with STUFF too.

Ren Morimoto has posed:
Getting an invite to go camping was not something Ren was expecting, from anyone. Usually he camped alone, so no one really knew that it was a hobby of his! Well, partially it all started out as just an excuse to stargaze, and maybe also not be at home, but now he enjoys it for its own reasons.

That he doesn't really know anyone who's going out camping doesn't matter, then, because he's used to being on his own. And being with strangers is a little bit like that, but there is the possibility of them becoming not-strangers to Ren, so that's good. Maybe using Kitchen God Cooking mode to bust out an extra large amount of beef jerky for the trip is an abuse of his magical powers, but Umeboshi had just been so pleased that he'd managed to do it in the first place that he hadn't said anything. And speaking of Ume, the spirit guide, currently in his orange tabby form, is along for the trip, in a bubble backpack that Ren is wearing on his front because his overloaded camping backpack is... well, on his back, where packs usually go. Though it doesn't look like he brought a tent, just a very bulky sleeping bag.

"Whoa, that's huge!" he announces of the tent as he arrives at the campsite, coming down a trail rather than from the drop-off point. Apparently he's been here for a little bit, just walking around. He shucks off both his bags somewhere out of the way and lets the cat out to walk around, before shucking off his jacket, just leaving him in a warm sweater and jeans. After kicking a bit of mud off of his boots, he claps his hands together.

"Okay! What can I do to help?"

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown wasn't exactly what one would call a 'heavy camper'. In fact, the notion had confused him... but then, he'd rarely had time to meet up with Koji so when the message came, he accepted.

Besides, who knew? Maybe he'd learn a bit more about the reclusive boy.

Speaking of reclusive, when they arrived... Chrono was nowhere to be seen. He said he'd meet them here. And it wouldn't be until they started trecking that they'd find him. In henshin, because of course he was, sitting on a tree branch, back against it, seeming to be taking a nap.

Because of course he was. and he had a bird rest against him, against his neck, nestled in between his neck and the collar of his jacket. His rod resting over his sleeping lap.

... He couldn't actually be asleep, could he?

He'd look so suave, so calm, so in tune with nature... unless someone called out to him, at which point Fenyx would fly the coup, his eyes would open, he'd flail for a moment... and then fall out and onto a nearby hedge. "Yo. I thought you'd be here sooner." He'd wave a gauntletted hand. "Just... just give me a moment."

... He probably should have taken the limo with Adrien. They room roommates, surely an offer was made?

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase had arrived with Adrien, stepping out of the limo and thanking Adrien and the driver and pretty much everyone else involved. He's got a sleeping bag and a rolled up tent and a box and a fishing pole. Kiseki, meanwhile, almost doesn't get out of the limo at all.

"Tadase-kun, that's how we should always travel. In a limo, like royalty. But I don't know why you want to leave air conditioning, heating, and all of the comfort to come out here and camp under the sky..." Kiseki began.

"Well, you wouldn't have to come except you have an ability to get yourself in trouble so much even with me, that I can't imagine you without me." He says. And then he looks over to Hinote, who came with them both. "I wonder if Tracy could keep him in line if we'd left them both... not that it's a good idea for us to really be separated so far overnight anyways."

Koji Silvia has posed:
Turning around in a bit of a surprise at Ren's entrance, Koji says with a grin and a rub on the back of his neck, "OH... hello..." And then he reaches into his pocket and takes out his Device. Tapping on something, his expression goes from puzzled to relieved, "You must be Ren-san. Chiyo told me about you, and asked me to send you the invite. You never responded so I didn't know you were coming. Apologies."

Putting Hanzo away, he bows to Ren once, and then turns to Bow, "This is Ren Morimoto. He's a friend of a friend of mine who asked me to see if he could join us up here. I was going to let you know, but..." He trails off and the phantom of a sweat-drop appears and slides down before vanishing, at least in his mind, "Anyways..."

Pointing back towards the camp store, he says, "I need to get some campfire and some charcoal... and some more tea and a few other things. My mom gave me some extra cash to treat our friend Bow here. This is his first camping trip." Not mentioning that it's his first Camping Trip on Earth. "We just need to police the site, remove any rocks or sticks so no one sleeps bad, and there's plenty of room on the lot, so feel free to set up!"

It's on his way to the store to go get the things he mentioned that Hanzo pings him on the presence of another Device, and that it's S2U and Chrono close by...which is why Chrono and Phenyx are startled by him saying loud enough for both to hear, "You DO realize that if the campsite owner saw you sleeping up there like that, they'd assume you were running away from home and call the police, right?"

With a aggrieved sigh, he waits for Chrono to right himself and then says, "Look... just come with me to the camp store, I'll let the owner know you're staying at our site, and you can get something hot to drink... but seriously... Chrono... you could have asked for a ride."

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari has dressed in a simple dark orange t-shirt, and black pants for this affair. Tracy was hovering along next to him, dressed in his usual yellow trenchcoat and feora. Tracy narrated.

"We drove in this fancy heap into the forest where they said the bodies we're buried." he says cooly. "Tracy." says Hinote cooly. "We're going camping. Not to a crime scene."

"You hsve no sense of drama, kid." says Tracy as Hinote looks over to Tadase. "Tracy probably could, but he probably doesn't wanna play baby sitter for a little pri----"

LUCKILY THEY ARRIVE JUST AT THE RIGHT MOMENT.

"We're here." he says as he exits, and motions to the back for his own gear.

"Hey everyone." he waves. "Heya, kids." says Tracy.

Bow has posed:
What had started off as just Bow and Koji has... grown. And grown. Bow watches others arrive, and the young Etherian is left in a moment of shock. Not bad shock. He's just surprised. Noticing Adrien, he lifts his hand in a wave to greet the French boy. "Hello!" he offers. But as Koji is making introductions, he laughs. "I met Ren a couple of times already!" comes his comment.

And the same can be said for the arrival of Hinote and his detective mascot.

To those that don't know him, he offers, "My names Luke Armbruster. I'm in grade 10. It is nice to meet you!" And while others are setting up campfires and the tents, he's doing his best to help out - setting up camps was something that was a group effort back on Etheria, and he's more than happy to assist with it now.

But to Koji, he admits. "I am not sure I brought enough fishing poles for everyone."

That's his worry in all of this.

Ren Morimoto has posed:
There are a lot of semi-familiar faces here, which is good. Several people Ren has met in passing, which at least eases some of his fears of making friends. And since Koji was the one to invite him, when he mentions policing the site and removing rocks and sticks, well, that's an easy task for Ren to handle, so he gets on it.

The ginger tabby that came with him doesn't travel far from his bubble backpack; in fact, the cat plops its furry butt down and starts grooming himself right in the middle of things. Cats be cattin'.

"Sorry about not replying, I have terrible text etiquette!" Ren says over his shoulder to Koji, and then to Bow, "First time camping? I hope you love it! I brought my astronomy guide if you want to look at the stars once it gets dark out."

And then he's crouching down to wiggle free a rock from the ground, which he under-hand tosses carefully out of the main camp area, into the trees.

He'll be busy doing clean-up for a while, unless anyone needs him!

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste glances over his shoulder to Tadase and Hinote as they also clamber out of the limosine. "It's no trouble. We were heading to the same place to begin with." A little glance is cast over to the Gorilla of a driver who just waits until all the kids are out before climbing back into the driver seat and heading off. A little sigh of relief comes at this.

"I'm so glad he's not the most observant person. I mean, I guess the Veil protects a lot, but..." His head shakes as he grins wryly toward Kiseki and Tracy. "I still worry."

Heading back toward the camp where Ren is cleaning up, he risks glancing over toward Chrono. "Chrono why... You know what, nevermind. Koji's got it." Ah, roommates. He probably wanted to relive his training days or something like that.

"I brought some stuff for grilling!" He calls out cheerfully as he moves to set the cooler he brought down somewhere safe. "And drinks, but I kept them seperate so it's not going to be an issue," he assures.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
It's a great location! And Mamoru's a little bit smug. Koji brought a giant tent, it's true, but Mamoru brought a couple of Shitennou and a couple of extra tents just in case, and some camp chairs, and sleeping bags, and he considered asking for the army cots from Setsuna too but went, instead, with picking up cheap air mattresses.

"Don't bring food," he had told the guys, "except maybe extra marshmallows, because Koji is coming and Adrien is buying."

First aid stuff, and bug spray and anti-itch stuff and the kind of soap that you can use to get poison ivy oil off, absolutely. And also a pamphlet for the guy with the flying horse that has pictures of the kind of plants you don't want to touch.

They definitely hitched a ride with Adrien and Tadase, and if it weren't an enormous limo, it would definitely start looking like a clown car as more boys pile out. "Oh you weren't there for the tent setup, Jadeite, it's really simple, you basically just take it out of the bag and shake it... hi everybody! I don't think I know everyone, but-- everyone here can see magic, right?" If there's anyone who can't, Mamoru's willing to tank looking like a weirdo.

Also, it may be a mistake to leave the tents with Tamaki and Kazuo, if it is, it's a hilarious mistake. Mamoru glances back at the limo as the last of their stuff is out and Gorilla drives it away, then his eyes open really wide. "No Tamaki don't shake it right here--!"

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown glanced towards Koji and his smile... flickered. Very slightly. "I assure you, Silvia-san, I have already acquired proper permits as necessary." Of course he did... "And I've already scouted the local area. Fortunately, in japan the most dangerous 'predator' is the brown bear, a relatively harmless creature. I've only run into one once, but it was relatively easy to make leave and I haven't seen any located near this region."

He glanced towards the others and then... "I don't believe I have met all of you." He held out his hand and the holographic ID of his appeared. "I am Time Space Administrative Bureau Enforcer, Chrono Harlaown. A pleasure to meet you all. And... why would I need something hot to drink?" he asked, looking to Silvia. "I haven't begun creating a shelter or anything like that, and I imagine we'll still need to dig the latrines and..."

The last time he'd gone 'camping' was a military exercise, could you tell?

"As for hunting, I am well versed in a variety of trapping techniques and having spent a few months traveling through this country when I first arrived, I am fairly certain I can remember a few of the techniques I learned from then."

... He then stared at all of the stuff... Mamoru brought... and... "... Earth camping is different from Midchildian camping, huh?" Pause. "Well, at least it's not belkan, I'm not even sure where we'd find a three headed razor hog at this hour."

Bow has posed:
'everyone here can see magic, right?'

"Oh thank Brightmoon." Luke says, feeling better now that he doesn't have to keep up the charade. He's terrible at it. "If that's the case. Let's try that again. My name's Bow. I'm a member of the Rebellion on Etheria and got sent her to find Adora." There, that's out of the way.

"No, I am quite used to camping... it's why I had the idea. This is much more like home than what the school is. No offense to any that are used to it." he asks, glancing down for a moment as the dusky archer rubs his right hand along his left arm.

It's at about this time that a small alicorn - one that some may recognize as the much smaller one that Bow was riding the other night against the giant corn cob comes over and bumps against him. "And I am Swiftwind. A hero of the Rebellion, and faithful ALICORN to She-Ra, the Princess of Power. Note the wings." A shake of rainbow wings. "And the horn." Shake of the head to show off the horn. "Alicorn." Even if he's cat-sized.

"Belkan?" he asks Chrono curiously. "Though that doesn't sound so much different than some of the animals back on Etheria."

Koji Silvia has posed:
When Chrono starts on his introduction and gets into his 'briefing' tone, the sharper eyed boys like Ren and 'Luke' might notice a Koji quietly fading off into the background and away from things for a moment, on the trail back towards the camp store. However his eyes aren't on where Chrono is. Instead it's to Mamoru, and more specifically who Mamoru has brought with him.

Once he is back far enough from view, he turns and starts to jog to the store, adjusting what he was going to buy and checking his own funds to make sure he has enough. Though as he does so, he takes out his phone and shoots off a quick text to Mamoru:

<Do you all need anything from the store?>

He doesn't send what he wants. Which is a cross between 'Why didn't you tell me you were inviting others.' and 'Why didn't you tell me you were inviting HIM'. Instead he just goes in the door, and immediately drops two bags of marshmallows, a 12 pack of chocolate bars, and a full box of graham crackers into a small basket. Then comes more tea, several packets of ramen, some preferred drinks... and the big bag of charcoal and 2 cords of firewood. But at this point he seems content to take his time as he continues to spin with what to do. He almost texts Bow to ask him if he wants to watch a movie, and then stops, and just sighs and rests his head on the cooler glass for the drinks, "What am I doing?"

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase looks up, and... listens to Chrono's whole... thing.

"You know it's just camping, right?" Tadase calls. "It's not a military thing. You can relax, whoever-you-are. It's about being outside IN nature, not going to war with nature and seeing who crawls out."

"He's treating this almost like Tracy did." Kiseki says, side-eyeing the other Chara. But it's not mean, there's still a smile on his face. "Let's get tents set up first, though. At least we got a lot of space." he says, looking around. "There are... a lot more of us than I thought there might be." he says.

"If someone here can't see magic, they're gonna have the biggest headache ever." he says, pointing at Swiftwind, Kiseki, Tracy, and just all of Chrono.

"Where is Etheria, is that like another 'place' we can't see or another 'world' or... actually it doesn't matter. I'm Tadase Hotori, this is Kiseki."

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste laughs warmly at the question from Mamoru about seeing magic. He just nods solemnly, and replies, "I can. Much like Naru. I think I just got exposed to it too much. Plus Chrono is my roommate. There's no secrecy there," he teases with a certain fondness right after the TSAB agent introduces himself around flashing his badge.

He unslings the packed-to-bursting backpack to rest on the ground in favor of planting his hands on his hips to leeeeean back in a stretch. Never hurt to stretch out and he was pretty flexible. Popping back up to stand properly his hands swing forward clapping a single time.

"Okay I've... I've never set a tent up before in all honesty. Or gone camping before." This doesn't really seem to upset him though as he grins broadly. "I'm looking forward to it!"

A grin is flashed over toward Bow, "Good to see you again, Luke!" he greets with a little wave though it was really not that far to NEED waving. Just. He'd met him breifly after all.

Curiously he looks back over his shoulder with a thoughtful frown at Mamoru. "So I got some meat for grilling but I'm not very familiar with Japanese grading. Is A5 good enough?"

Ren Morimoto has posed:
There's a lot to take in. A lot of magical things to take in. But Ren keeps on keeping on, which has been his method of dealing with this new change in his life for a long while now.

Basically, he's ignoring all the magic stuff, or at least pretending it's totally normal and not worth commenting on, despite his brain bursting at the seams with curiosity. He just keeps picking up sticks and rocks. By now his careful underhand throws have morphed into baseball pitches, because he is, at heart, a jock. But he is still careful to make sure there's no one in the way when he pitches rocks out into the undergrowth! That's important to note.

He looks at Koji's back for a moment, frowning, but whatever thoughts he has about the situation (the one he knows very little, if anything, about) Ren decides to keep it to himself.

Instead he says, "I'm pretty good at grilling, if anyone needs help. I didn't bring anything fresh, but I make my own beef jerky and I brought enough to share." And then he's left gobsmacked by Adrien, his eyes wide with the promise of extra delicious, fatty meat.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari give Mamoru a look. "Yeah I can see magic." he says.

He stares at Chrono. He's dressed in a henshin. And speaks about some 'TSAB' and and.. just everything right, he rubs his head and says. "I'll be fine." he says as he goes off to help clean up the campsite, that'll go quicker with more than one person, right.

Also there's a cat, Ren's cat. Here kitty kitty. He kneels down to pet it and then pauses. "You don't talk right?" he asks the cat. "Because I met a talking cat. And now. I'm wondering if it's all cats or just the one." he says.

And then he stands back up. "I'm Hinote Kagari." he says. "Grade 8. Radiant Heart Academy. Drama Club!" he says. "-and this s Tracy." he says motioning to his mascot.

"It's good to finally meet. Other aware people!" he says with some relief.

Kazuo Saitou has posed:
Kazuo did not emerge from the limo so much as unfold, and immediately go to help with carrying things, because Mamoru is talking to Tamaki. That means that Tamaki has someone keeping an eye on him, right? Right?

... not right.

Kazuo ducks, and moves quickly out of the way, swinging a folded camp chair low to keep it from intersecting with anything that might suddenly be trying to occupy its space. "That depends on what you mean by 'good enough,'" he calls to Adrien, pretending that there are no mishaps going on right behind him. "Do we have anyone good enough to work with it? Maybe. Possibly." Between Ren and Koji, they'll manage. Presuming Koji reappears eventually, but he has faith.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru ducks away from the tent that Tamaki unleashed and scoots partly under it, then swims his way out of it, sort of. And then! There's Bow! He darts away toward the Etherian. "Here, this is for you, it shows you what plants here not to touch if you see them, otherwise you get a painful rash," Mamoru says, pushing the pamphlet into the archer's hands. "I'm Tuxedo Mask. We sort of met the other night. Ish."

Then he's immediately flurrying back to Kazuo and Tamaki, and his phone is buzzing??? and he takes it out in the middle of the campground to look, and then he pffts softly and starts texting Koji back...

...but then Adrien's asking him about grade A5 meat, and Mamoru laughs. "Yeah, what Kazuo said. How much did you get? I'll let Koji know, he just went to the store. And be prepared for potentially getting glared at, and also potentially making some new friends -- but that's one thing we're here for anyway, right?"

He texts Koji,
<Probably more steak sauce or marinade, Adrien's turn to bring the A5 wagyu this time.>

He has absolutely zero idea what he's doing to Koji.

"Isn't it great?" he asks Hinote cheerfully, rhetorically. "It sucks having to hide something so big from everyone forever, or even just keeping it to a little group you can never really talk with out in public."

Bow has posed:
"Please. Call me Bow. Luke was the name that was given to me when I arrived here. Etheria is a different world. I have seen no reference of it in this... place." Bow admits quietly, a little scratch at the back of his head. The building of the camp is going well. Very well. It seems that everyone has something to contribute.

And he's trying to figure out where to fit in, but before he can offer, it seems that it's covered. A shake of his head, this is a chance to meet new friends. Make new alliances. That's how he needs to approach this.

So with a swift smile, he's wandering back into the foray again, the dusky archer kinda stands out, even amongst this group. "Is... is there anything I can help out with?" he finally decides to ask. The outdoorsy one has been completely overwhelmed with the convience of camping.

And that's when Mamoru introduced himself and presented the book, and he accepts it. And it's clutched to his chest. "Thank you!" he offers sincerely as he has to take a moment to put two and two together. "Is everyone that was there okay now? I'm glad I was able to be of assistance!" He opens the pamphlet to start to read it. And he arches a brow. "I mean, at least here you don't have to worry about the plants eating you?"

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown glanced to Luke and... "Oh! Bow? I've heard about you. Rashmi encountered you soon after your arrival. She's one of the temporary TSAB mages I've recruited since my arrival here. I'm, unfortunately, unfamiliar with Etheria. However, She-ra is a friend and I am certain any friend of hers is a valuable compatriot in these times. And Belkan's are a... they're trouble makers. You'll meet Hannah, one day. And you'll see."

Chrono gave a light chuckle at Tadase's reprimand and scratched his cheek. "Yeah, I uhhh... haven't... done... that... often. Most of my camping was a bit less..." He glanced back to Mamoru's bags. "This. Oh well. Adaptation is important and I'm sure this will all be fine."

Fenyx, meanwhile, came back and nestled into the collar of his coat once more, rubbing against his neck. She was, mercifully, in her 'baby bird' form. So Adrien wouldn't have to suffer.

He then walked up, following besides Adrien. "Don't worry, Adrien. I'm sure we can figure it out easily enough. I'll help. I'm sure earth tents can't be that different from midchildian tents... just... with less magic."

He glanced to Bow and gave him a comforting smile. "It's a strange world, but it's really quite lovely once you get used to it." Pause. "But very strange."

He then glanced to Kiseki and Tracy. And then sighed.

<< S2U, make a note. Apparently gnomes exist on this world. >>

"Don't worry, in situations like this it's rarely the things that try to eat you that you need to worry about, usually just the things you try to eat." Pause. "So, ahem. Do... we dig latrines? Set up a perimeter? Establish call signs... or...?"

It likely didn't help that he was easily the smallest of the group, by at least a head... and when you had people like Kazuo-mc-tall-tower over there, it only made him seem younger and childish. The baby bird nestled to his neck likely didn't help, either.

Koji Silvia has posed:
It's a few minutes later that a wild Koji reappears lugging along quite a bit with him. Two bagged cords of wood for fires, the charcoal, and what looks like two other stuffed bags with all the things that were forgotten on the way to the campsite and before things exploded from just a thing, into A Thing, and then graduated into A Whole Thing.

10 boys, 3 pet-adjacents, and 2 small fairy-like beings. A Whole Thing on the scale of 'This Is A Thing.'

A scale that Mamoru would be aware of. There is a chart on Koji's side of the room that shows the graduation of events in scale. It has not reached the level of requiring swear-words, BUT...

He's back at the camp now, with others still setting their stuff up, and the clink of bottles for extra sauces and spices from one bag are obvious with each step. Looking at the chaos, he just gives off a big of a long sigh, and then speaks up to be heard...

"Okay, let's get a little more organized. Anyone setting up tents, entrances point towards the middle of the plot, please. Camp chairs can go around the firepit once we have it set up."

For that part, he looks towards Chrono, and says, "Chrono, there's some cinderblocks over there by the bathroom cabin. Can you bring them over and arrange them in a circle, two high, so we can put the fire safely in the middle of the plot? That way we can put the chairs around that as an inner circle."

Turning his head towards Adrien and Ren, "There's a small camp table with some taller legs on the back of my backpack. It has a roll-out top. Please set it up, and lay out what we have for food for dinner."

For the Chara-bearers, he nods his head once, only recognizing Tadase, "Can you go with Chrono and help him with the cinderblocks, and bring the sand bucket as well?"

Throwing out orders like an instructor, he almost balks as he comes to Mamoru and company, as he then takes a moment and says to them, "Uhhh... I guess you can get your tents finished and then go out into the woods and get us about a dozen straight-ish sticks we can make skwers from?"

Quickly, he goes into his open tent to unpack what he has keeping his back to the others as he says to cover himself, "So I couldn't really pack anything for entertainment, but Hanzo can make the images and track movements of any board games, or we could watch a movie or something... I mean... I'm just here to make sure Bow has a good time."

And realizing what he said, thank the kami his back is to everyone because the BLUSH on his face raises the temperature inside his set-up by a few degrees.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Right! Some small venomous things, bugs and some little animals, will try and kill you if you disturb them, but plants don't do that unless they're youma corn or something. Doomburgers. You know," says Mamoru to Bow, helping get the tent over to where it should actually live. "Right, Chrono! That's a really good way of putting it. And no, there are toilets back that way," he points in the direction of the stores and things that Bow is trying to ignore-- and in the direction that Koji is coming back from.

Once he gets his marching orders, Mamoru gives Koji a tiny little smile and nods firmly. "Will do." And then he laughs warmly and adds, "As far as things to do go-- we could make videos, too. Or someone's got to have some kind of instrument or know some songs, right? We can look up the words and everything."

Bow has posed:
"Rashmi, right!" Bow chuckles. "I just saw her yesterday at the Korma. She encouraged me to get closer to Sayaka." he admits with a rub at the back of his head. "But other than trying to play matchmaker, she's been helpful in trying to help me adjust to this world. I did come acorss She-Ra... she's still under the effects of dusk energy that she got from Sunbreaker. I'm going to have to find her again soon, and Sailor Moon said she'd help me get the dark energy out of her." he explains.

And then Koji is arriving with all the gear, and barking out orders, and finally, Bow has something he can help out with! As he starts to set up chairs and assist Chrono with the set up, he hears Koji's request and shoots a smile his way. "I don't know! Movies are great and all, but I think I want to get to know new friends together would be a better way to pass our evening of comraderie!" he offers with an enthusiastic glint in his eyes.

Mamoru mentioning instruments, and the Etherian teen pipes up. "I brought my violin! And the mandolin. But I'm not good at that as I am with the violin. Does anyone else play an instrument?" Nodding as Mamoru explains things to him, Bow grins. "Now that I know what to look for, I'll be more on guard. Thank you." he offers with a fresh smile for him, "Does anyone else need to look at this?" he asks curiously.

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste actually blinks at the apparent responses to his remark on the grade of beef. "Oh. I guess that's good then," he reasons with a little chuckle. A quick glance is cast to the cooler apparently feeling a little proud that he was able to get something good for everyone. "Oh not much. I knew there would be a few of us though so I got five pounds. Also some pork belly and chicken. ... I always wanted to try pork belly," he murmers a bit sheepishly.

When Bow corrects him on the name he blinks again, ducking his head in embarassment. "Oh! Bow then. Nice to meet you--" he begins and pauses as he recalls the other night himself. Except he wasn't *supposed* to know about it. "Ah! Did you help rescue Naru and Hinoiri too? Thanks! It's been so good to have Naru back," he adds with a little laugh.

Fenyx wasn't the only little mascot hanging around Chrono though. As Chrono approaches, a little black Kwami with bright green eyes pokes out of his pocket. Plagg grins toothily as he greets others with a squeaky. "Hi! I'm Plagg! I just wanted to check out what you guys are doing. I'll just laze by the fire, don't mind meeee~! Unless you have some extra cheese, I'll clean that up, no proooblem!"

Adrien ducks his head smacking a hand to his face lightly only to blurt, "Table, right! Got it Koji!" Breifly he adds, "Oh, Chrono, there's a cat over there so you know..." he tips his head toward Ren's apparent pet while keeping his voice low.

Then without complaint he heads over to help with the table, greeting Ren with a, "Hey, Ren! Good to see you again."

Ren Morimoto has posed:
"Sure thing!" Ren calls out, though he does pause to take one last survey of the campsite. It is as free of sticks and rocks as it can be without pulling out a shovel and starting to dig things up, he thinks, so he is content with the state of his work. So he's happy to move on to setting up the camp table, procuring it from Koji's backpack and hefting it up to a place near the central area of the plot but a bit out of the way, so as to not impede traffic or anything like that.

But you want your food to be near the fire, right? That's his thinking, anyway.

"We should keep the raw foods separate," he thinks aloud, then smiles over at Adrien and his promised bounty of A5-grade meat. "Oh, hey!" His lips purse in thought, eyes narrowed, and then he jumps up onto the balls of his feet, making himself inadvertently even taller in his excitement. "You stopped by English Club once! I remember! Well, nice to meet you again," he continues, laughing. The sound of which draws Umeboshi, the ginger cat, out of his grooming spiral abruptly. So he's fully blepped when Hinote pets him. And he stays that way, purring, but no talking as of yet.

As it turns out, a great deal of his backpack space was dedicated to beef jerky, in many flavors. They are labeled things like: 'mushroom' 'red pepper' 'green pepper' and other ingredients, though they're most definitely beef. He piles the assortment on one end of the table and says, "I was experimenting with drying other things at the same time to infuse the meat with extra flavor. I think it turned out really well!"

While they're arranging the food, Ren has been listening in to other conversations, so when the topic of entertainment is brought up he adds in with, "Well, I brought some books to read. And the first volume of Magical Princess Worm-chan! But I've already read that one so if someone wants to borrow it I wouldn't mind!"

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari relaxes a little. He whews. "See. I'm new to this whole. Magic thing." he admits. "I know Tadase and like one whole other guy properly and seen a whole lot of things but you don't get a lot of time to get names or ask questions and when I tried to ask questions, people liked to push me away." he says a little lowly.

"So glad that's less of any issue now."

Pause. "Sorry if I ask too many questions. It's in my nature, I guess." he says, side eyeing Tracy a moment.

Tracy is off to solve the mystery of what's for dinner as he examines coolers.

Then Koji arrives---

--and there's bishy sparkles in his vision is all over. P--pretty boy. Very pretty boy over there. And he's not dressed for this. So he coughs hard suddenly.

There-- suddenly Hinote gives a small salute and goes off to help Chrono with Cinderblocks. This shouldn't be too hard. Then pauses on the way back.

He tries to make a big strong show of bringing the cinderblock back for some reason with a huff. Some reason.

"Come on Tadase, let's get this done!"

Kazuo Saitou has posed:
Some people chatter. Some people direct tent placement and hammer stakes. Kazuo has apparently done this before, or at least something close enough to it that there are no sudden yells of pain, no tents slumping sideways, and plenty of space for hanging out between the tents and camp-center - and enough to move between the sides of the tents, if one's sufficiently careful about not tripping. Fires throw sparks, after all, and if they're unlucky enough to have one catch a tent, there's no sense in hastily making that one tent burning into two or three.

... this is totally not an attempt to avoid having to actually talk to people. Really!

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown glanced to Koji when he gave some direction and... "Huh. I guess I should..." He, once again, did his stylish card flip, dehenshioning... and revealing...

...

He had his uniform under his uniform, a non-magical version. "There. Now I am on equal footing with everyone here," he offered. It was only polite. He followed Koji's guidance, after all. He was the native. He started walking towards the cinderblocks, grunting as he began to haul them. He... was actually quite a bit stronger than he looked, at least. Fenyx had flown off again, though, moving to a nearby tree to watch the shenanigans.

"Ahhhh, Sayaka? She's a good girl. I actually need to meet with her about the lost logia... I've been trying to give her time to settle before I bother her about it, though. So long as she has it, at least no more incidents should take place. As for She-ra..." He trailed off, his smile wavering. "... Dark energy can be incredibly dangerous. Both to those with it, and those near them."

He nodded as Plagg went off. He was a little surprised to see the little creature being willing to show itself... but well... Fenyx would keep him in line. He did however jump a little when Adrien mentioned... cat. "Not... ummm... talking... cat... right? Or... familiar?" he asked, his smile actually cracking a lot then. Ah. Boy did certainly have a weakness.

He then glanced to Hinote and... "It is a strange world, this one. There's nothing wrong with asking too many questions... so long as you're careful about how you ask them."

Pause.

"But I may not be the right person to take advice on that from. I've been asking questions since I came to this world and I still feel like I know less than when I came."

Magic on this world was weird. Fenyx chose this time to glide down and land besides Plagg, watching the humans move with an odd fascination...

Koji Silvia has posed:
As Koji finishes unpacking what he has in his bags in the tent, he strips his coat off and hangs it up inside part of his then, and then reaches back to fluff his hair out before he turns to face the group. Totally unaware that this motion, including the swish of his locks, is slow-motioned and bordered with sparkles in the eyes of at least one person. Stepping out of his large tent to face the group and see what's going on, he turns his head to look towards Hinote, and the light of the late-day sun plays across his glasses for a few seconds, obscuring his eyes before he says, "Thanks for the help."

Carrying a roll of something with him, he waits for the other boys to set up the firepit, and then deploys what looks like a rolled up metal mesh cover. Perfect for covering the fire and grilling on top of. He works on stretching it and working it free of it's current state as he smiles towards everyone, "Okay, I want to suggest we not talk shop while we're here. We're supposed to be relaxing. No possessed machines, evil spirits, weird witch-zones, or dark corporation plots. And as a point... if anything like that DID show up here? We've got enough strength to make some of their biggest bads stop and think."

With that said, he goes back into the tent and brings out the bag with the spices, soy sauce, and the steak sauce he was requested to bring, and puts them on the edge of the small table with the meats and things, "I brought some big spring onion for grilling with the meat... and those jerkies you brought smell really good, Ren. If I had a pot, I'd suggest we use them to make a soup for breakfast. We still could... I bought a bunch of ramen in case, and I'm sure I've got a pot stashed someplace inside of Hanzo."

But there he stops, and seems to actually consider something, "I really should have said, and I apologize. I'm Koji Silvia. Grade 10 at Radiant Heart, and Mamoru's roommate. Pleased to meet you." This seems to be aimed more towards Ren, Hinote, and Tamaki than the others, but introductions are appropriate, "I'm in the computer club and the gymnastics club."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase, on the other hand, doesn't make much of a show of helping move things around at all. "Sure thing, Hinote." he says, calmly. He misses all of the subtext and anything else completely. Like usual. "But there's nothing wrong with asking questions - I mean, so long as other people are okay with answering them, anyways. I'm not sure how much of this is a 'get away from magical nonsense' trip but since there's a bunch of mascots and stuff, there's a limit to it anyways."

"Why would you want to get away from magical stuff! I'm magical stuff!" Kiseki asks.

"I can't imagine." Tadase says, monotone. And Koji then answers the question. "See? People just get tired of it all every once in a while. It's not relaxing to think about apocalypses or evil organizations hunting down witches."

Bow has posed:
As Chrono brings up the problems with Adora's darkness, Bow nods, a hint of worry pulling on the side of his mouth. "That's why I'm getting others to help me. I can find her easily enough. Purifying her... will be a whole other problem." There's a shake of his head.

But then it switches to Sayaka. "I can let her know if you want?" he asks, "She texted me earlier to see how I was doing." He really wants to ask what the lost logia is, but he keeps his nose out of it. But as he sees Kazou working on the tents, and seeming to keep to himself, the Etherian draws in a breath.

Should he go over and introduce himself. Noone's a stranger once they're met someone, right? His phone chimes and he glances at it and over to Chrono. "Sayaka said to tell you that she's doing well, and will return the Lost Logia to you when you have the time." A quick smile offered.

But there's more introductions to be done, and the mention of clubs. "Oh! I was looking to find the shop club, but also in Kyudo and in the band."

And he circles way back to something, a nod to Adrien. "I was surprised when I saw that Naru was kidnapped! I'm glad she's better. And Sayaka cares for Hinoiri as a friend, so it was only natural that I try to help them both." That said with shrug of his shoulders with an easy grace, he goes over to his gear.

Opening a small case, he takes a seat in one of the camp chairs, he settles in with his violin. He pulls at the strings a little. Raising the rozened bow into place as he tucks the violin into his shoulder, he starts to play.

It's a good tune to work to. An easy, lively melody, something to make work seem to go quicker, the pace to be lively - to raise spirits and set hearts to warm, his foot tapping the beat on the ground as he saws away at a pleasant clip.

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste gives a quick nod when Ren recognises him from the English club meeting. "Yep! That's me all right." His attention shifts away just long enough to begin laying out the meat that he'd brought. The really good stuff which he sets out, along with the pork belly and chicken. There was a bag of potatoes in the cooler, too, in case anyone wanted to try to bake some potatoes in the ashes of the fire perhaps.

As Koji gives the remark of not wanting to talk shop he looks over with a warm laugh. "Hey not all of us are magical. Some are just magic-adjacent." So far that had held up. So far. He didn't know how long it would last but he was really, really trying to keep the identity secret so that his own 'lost logia' that was currently floating by the fire wouldn't become an issue.

Plagg was watching Koji lay out the grill cover with interest. "Ooh so that's how you do it!" At least he's only a little four inch high floating cat thing and not... well. Not anything bigger. Or more telling.

Adrien for his part just sweeps his blonde hair back out of his face to look around. "Looks like everyone's done a great job." He looks back over to Bow as well with a small nod. "Yeah it's not the first time Naru's been kidnapped. She gets along well with everyone but she's kind of a magnet for weird situations. I'm glad nothing happened to her, really. I mean. Nothing lasting," he clarifies only to watch as Bow gets his violin ready. "I play the piano. Though that'd be hard to do out here." Dumb remark. Really.

Catching Kazuo by the tents he asks, "Need help with those?" Someone is going to be friendly darn it!

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Can we please talk about magic though?" asks Mamoru, maybe very slightly unsettled all of a sudden, as he pauses in dragging Tamaki off to either get skewer-sticks or lost in the woods, leaving Kazuo to finish setting up tents and camp chairs. "It's something most of us don't get a chance to do in a social setting, instead of a business one. We can do it quietly if you don't want to hear it."

Ren Morimoto has posed:
"Ah, yeah, the mushroom one especially I think would make a great addition to a soup or a porridge," Ren says, to Koji. And then he smiles when the introductions are made. "I'm in the English club and baseball club, and I run the cinema club, too! That one's not really official-official, we mostly just meet once or twice a month to go to the movies and eat food after," he explains.

He claps his hands once together as he looks over the growing camp, and especially the firepit and the food, of course. That's what he cares about!

And what Umeboshi cares about too. The cat wanders over and plops his butt in a new, different, even more in-the-way spot, much closer to both aforementioned things. He meows loudly to draw attention to himself, then primly sticks out one leg and starts to lick it, toe beans stretching out.

His head starting to bob, Ren says over to Koji, "We can talk about non-magic things, if you want." The offer is made with a small smile, as Ren thus far hasn't revealed anything about himself or his nature as a Culinary Guardian, nor has Ume decided to be anything other than a regular cat. He nods to Adrien and starts to contemplate whipping up a sauce of some kind for the meat... if only he could use Kitchen God Cooking mode out here! "I promise not to talk your ear off about my hobbies! But... have you seen anything interesting at the movies, lately?" His eyes go shiny and wide, in the hopes of finding someone to talk to about... yes, his hobbies.

Kazuo Saitou has posed:
"Kazuo Saitou," Kazuo adds once Koji finally gets it into his skull that there should be introductions. "Grade eleven. Kendo." Possessor of a single, which is good for the RA's sanity but not great for introductions and making connections with people.

-- except that he already has a connection with Adrien, through Naru, and that is going to bite him now! "I think we're okay. These are pretty easy to set up," as Tamaki demonstrated. Kazuo shifts to get a better look up at Adrien, mallet absently going into his tentside hand to reduce the odds of whacking anyone in model shins. "Do you want a hand with yours? A very unskilled hand." There's a quick grin. "Just because I've put the super-simple ones up before doesn't mean I know what I'm doing."

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari takes in Koji's name, and grade. He'll talk later. Right now isn't the best time to chat someone up anyways. c.c. He coughs and gets to work still, grabbing more cinderblocks until he's getting tired of it, but soon there should be enough as he listens.

He winces a little at the request. But Mamoru has his back. "I'll try to keep the questions light and to one person at a time then." he says. "-and quiet." he says. "I can do quiet." he says.

He walks over to Mamoru.

"You said. You we're. Tuxedo Kamen?" he asks. "Wouldn't happen to be a guy in formal wear with a mask? Some sort of crystal and hairballs involved?" he asks quietly.

Bow has posed:
As he plays, Bow considers Mamoru's suggestion about talking about magic. And he decides that he'll join in, his own voice pitched quietly so not to interrupt the non-magic conversation. "I'm not magic." he decides to start off on his own thoughts. "I mean. I wasn't before I got here. Adora? Castaspella? Glimmer? Netostta? Mermista? All the Princesses... they were... are magic. I was the resident regular guy. Who had a way with tech." He shrugs.

"But then I got here - and.." he looks over as the small glimmer crystal figurine near him, "She said that she would have to imbine me with what was left of the magic from an Etherian portal in order to protect me on this world. So. Now, I'm apparently magical."

He continues to play, as between Adrien and Mamoru, he's continues to play on the violin. "And I have no idea what that entails, except now I have to announce what arrow I'm firing instead of grabbing it, and I never seem to run out of arrows." Oh, he has so much to learn.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown shook his head. "No, no. That girl has been through a lot. She's responsible and trust worthy and nearly as serious as I. I'm sure it's being well contained for the time being. Since her situation has improved, I'd rather give her a little time before I come to retrieve it. I can't imagine anyone else taking as good as care of it for the time being." That and, admittedly... he was unsure how he was going to contain it.

Rashmi's failure to contain one of the rainbow crystals was making him feel... uncertain his device could manage it.

"And... yes. Naru is, indeed, a magnet for these kinds of situations. In fact, she likely attracts them more than anyone I've seen."

"As for not talking about magic... I'm an alien of another dimension, who got here via magic. If you don't want me to talk about magic, that really just leaves me talking about my girlfriend or the diskworld series Setsuna has been having me read." Pause. "They're... interesting. I like Vimes." Of course he did.

He then glanced to Bow and... "I don't suppose you'd mind if I did a quick scan of you? I mean... it is possible you were magic and just of a different nature?"

Koji Silvia has posed:
Relenting when Mamoru asks, and before he takes off into the woods, "Alright... I don't suppose talking about that will hurt. I'm just concerned that this will turn us all talking about things we've fought and not about anything else."

He watches as the pair go out of view, and then turns back towards Ren, and gives a faint shrug, "Oh heck... the last movie I got to see was that weird Snyder-san movie called Rebel Moon. I kind of get what he's trying to go for, but I felt like I was watching... well... an updated version of a movie my dad showed me when I was a kid. It was called..." He has to pause to think, "Oh yeah. Flash Gordon. It's supposed to be based off of a really old comic. One they printed in newspapers before everything tried to go digital."

He waves it off, and then addresses Hinote a moment, "If you have questions, I didn't mean to say you couldn't ask. Apologies. I guess... learning a bit about each other like that's important too."

Sniffing once, he adjusts his glasses, and as Bow starts playing his violin and Adrian talks about playing the piano, he actually looks embarrassed, "My mom tried to get me into instruments when I was younger. But I was always doing stuff like taking apart the microwave, or begging to borrow my dad's tools so I could bang on a piece of bent metal." He points towards the small camp stove in his huge tent, "I've had to fix that thing so many times I forget. We'd either drop it and the door would warp, or one of the sides would get a dent, and I'd hammer it back out. Just because something's a little old or beaten up doesn't mean it's useless. Like why I can use magic. Because of Hanzo. He's old, and he had to be fixed to work right, but he and I are friends."

As he talks, he holds out his hand and a knife appears in it out of nowhere, and he starts to dress and prep the pork belly, "I've read some Discworld stuff too, Chrono. I prefer the stories with Moist von Lipwig. Because I get how he feels. Sometimes you're always just one step ahead of the chaos."

Jadeite has posed:
Tamaki Suikawa says, "Magic's always a work in progress," Tamaki chimes in, poking his head into Bow, Mamoru and Adrian's conversation. He's half-tangled in the pop up tent, SOMEHOW, despite it being as easy to put up as blinking.

"You didn't begin shooting bullseyes when you took up archery, right? It's the same thing. Except magic's usually not so polite as to give people easily defined instructions on how to do it, so it's all trial and error at first. I'm still finding out what I'm capable of."

...Which was at least semi related to the amnesia he's working through, but the people here don't need to know that. Even if they are, apparantly, trustworthy enough for his prince to reveal a fractino of his identity."

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Coming back from getting sticks, Mamoru says cheerfully, "Mamoru Chiba, grade 10, Koji's roommate, currently not in any clubs. I figured I'd start with the new school year." Then he goes quieter, brings Hinote over with him to Bow and Adrien while saying, "I am absolutely that guy. My cat's definitely feeling better."

He stares at Bow for a second. "Really? Their names are all like that? I--"

Mamoru pauses.

"I really guess Tuxedo Mask isn't better."

Bow has posed:
"Why are all your names so complicated?" Bow counters to Mamoru, "I mean... Luke Armbruster. That's a whole mouthful of mess that feels weird every time I say it!" comes the protest from the archer, as he smirks slightly, not stopping his playing, keeping pace with the song, as Chrono speaks up.

"Sure! But I'm pretty sure there's not much you're going to discover. I've always been the normal one." And he ssems to have a bit of pride when he says that.

Then a new person speaks up, and it causes Bow to actually pause in his playing. "...I spent a lifetime so far making sure my skills as an archer were spot on to protect Etheria and the Princess Alliance. I swore my life to protecting them. So, perhaps you are right about magic. It is unfamiliar..." a smile. "...but I have never been one to back away from a challenge, and I have plenty of friends and allies here to help guide me through!"

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste blinks in surprise when Tamaki literally pops up with tent issues still. Without really thinking about it he steps over offering, "Here let me help you with that. I'm sure it's got to be uncomfortable." Unless someone chases him off he does set to work trying to free the poor guy from being entangled in the tent.

"Oh my father insisted I learn piano along with a lot of other things. Father always wants me to be prepared, and know how to handle myself in a refined manner." There's no real anger when speaking of his father but... A kind of emptiness. He does pause though as he suddenly recalls, and looks to Mamoru and Koji a little panicked. "Oh. Oh I forgot to mention. My father er, wants to meet my friends." NOW he sounds legitimately worried about that. "I don't suppose I could count on you guys for that? I know it'll be a bit uncomfortable, probably, but there's free dinner involved?" Ah, he's so hopeful here.

Apologetically he adds for Ren, "Haven't seen any new movies lately. I've been busy with other things." Like father issues.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown nodded to Koji. "Honestly... most days it feels like the chaos is a rising tide and you just kind of dip underneath it for a few seconds every so often." Pause. "But... you get used to it. They're interesting, though I've only seen one dimension with any kind of planets akin to that turtle. And even then it was a snake, not a turtle."

... It was hard to say if he was messing with them.

He glanced to Mamoru and then... "I mean... a lot of names have meaning like that. His are just... more direct. Mamoru means protector, no? Chrono means... actually, err, let's not go into that," he said quickly, his cheeks going red.

And then he glanced to Adrien. And, alas... now he knew. "Oh? I'd be happy to meet him." They were friends after all, right?

Oof.

Meanwhile, Fenyx... began to very lightly chirp along with the violin, lil songbird added to the mix.

Kazuo Saitou has posed:
-- conversation quasipartner, distracted by ... oh. Kazuo does not say one word about Tamaki's situation. He just shifts and reaches to anchor the Jadeite-Eating Tent with both hands, so that Adrien's attempts to disentangle him don't just get both of them tangled in it. Which would be hilarious, but he might have to explain to Naru, and he would prefer to continue his life with drinking coffee rather than wearing it.

Ren Morimoto has posed:
"Ah, I saw that one too." Ren nods to Koji, as he busies himself with prepping some food for the grill. Even secretly being Culinary Guardian Sukiyaki, he's nervous about handling such high quality meat. "It felt a bit too referential," he agrees, as he starts with the chicken. It's the thing that will take the longest to cook, after all!

As the cinema talk tapers off, he says aside to Adrien, "You're welcome to the cinema club any time," though he doesn't press the issue. He does frown with some concern showing in his eyes as Tamaki gets caught up with the tent, but he apologetically holds up his hands, saying, "Sorry, I'm all chicken-y!" Thankfully Adrien is there to take care of things instead.

And, chicken ready to go, now is a good time for Ren to excuse himself to the bathroom to remedy said chicken-y status.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"... Tamaki," laughs Mamoru, dragging his hands down his face. "He's right, though. Also, this is Tamaki Suikawa, also grade 10, also recently rescued from the place we can't talk about here. He's right, though, Bow..." And Bow is already agreeing anyway, Mamoru nods in satisfaction.

He sets the sticks down in front of him, then sits down next to Kazuo starts stripping bark from the ends of the sticks and sharpening them to points.

"Ah?" he asks Adrien. "Sure, do you want me to put one of my Darien Shields suits on? They came back from the dry cleaners all right. They're from a rival brand though."

Then he NODS to Chrono. "Chiba is 'of Earth' if you look at it the right way, so--"

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari relaxes a bit. "So what was that whole thing about with the crystal? Apparently. I heard a scream and it might had been one of the cats I guess." he says. "So I chased it down as best I could but..." he shrugs. "I don't really have a henshin." he remember Tadase called it that. "I got something kinda halfway there, but..." he trails off again.

Then he perks up at that statement. Koji's roommate? Oh-- huh. Could he ask sneaky questions? He could try. But it'd be too obvious here. But...

"What's Siliva-san like?" he asks quietly, brushing his face, up to his a bit smoothly. Play it cool.

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase walks around the camp right now, and helps as he can - he's not exactly good at anything everyone's doing, but he's a second pair of hands and an attentive helper. He speaks up as things tilt back towards magical. "Well, if you were in Japan you might have been named Yumi - or Bow." he says, shrugging. "And then it wouldn't be as weird for us. It's just languages, culture barriers. The word "Charles" sounds strange to my ears and lips. There are whole letters other cultures use that we have trouble forming with our mouths." he continues.

"But from my point of view, while you're here, your name is less important than your actions. Chrono, Bow, Mamoru - those names can all be capable of good or bad, but I think everyone here has figured out it's better to be on the side defending people. So you're all good people, to me. And the rest is just... cultural differences."

Jadeite has posed:
is able to untangle himself from the tent at last with Adrian and Kazuo's help. His blond hair has gotten ruffled between the light breeze and the struggle with the tent, and his unseasonably warm blue coat is half-on, half-off his sturdy shoulders.

"Thank you," he says, carefully hopping out of the last piece of treacherous tent. "Your father sounds like mine. I could see if I could...assist as a presentable oung man?"

Between growing up a royal knight and growing up rich in this life, he's had more ettiquette lessons than he could shake a stick at. Though he is, admittedly, rather rusty.

"Would you care to bounce ideas around?" he asks Bow. "Being able to talk it through with Mamoru and Kazuo has helped me expand my techniques."

...wait. he forgot something. "I"m Jadeite. Or Tamaki, if that's easier to pronounce/"

Bow has posed:
"I can try to be one of your friends, Adrien. If you wanted." There's a pause from Bow, and he explains. "I told my dads that I went to 'The Academy of Historic Enterprises' when I joined the Rebellion, and that Princess... now Queen Glimmer was a physics major and Adora was an Art major. So I'm pretty good at cover stories!"

Bow, in fact, is not good at cover stories.

There's a nod to the others about the discussion of names. "It's pretty straightforward. I mean, you get what you ask for when you're dealing with Catra or Entrapta." He sets the violin to the side. Apparently they want to discuss it, so.

He closes his eyes and holds out his hand. And then announces. "Magnifying Glass Arrow!"

And an arrow pops into his hand. It looks like a normal arrow, except it has a small magnifying glass at the end of it. "Pretty exotic, right?" A bright smile. He's proud of it!

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste tenses just a bit when Chrono hears. He'd been worrying over if he should tell Chrono or not. "It's a bit more complicated than that, Chrono. My father is..." He trails off a bit to focus on the tent. It's finally removed, and he sets it down with a sigh.

"Very strict. Very opinionated. He means well, and only wants to protect me, but." But. Here he looks rather conflicted as he stands again running his hands back through his hair to catch behind his neck in a slightly stressed posture. "It took me eight months to convince him to let me *attend school* rather than be privately tutored at home. Every time he met one of my old friends, if he found them 'unsuitable', he'd yank me out of school for a week until I could convince him I wasn't going down 'the wrong path' and I just..."

"I have so much more freedom here in Japan than back in France because Japan is known for it's safety and lack of crime. If he gets *any inkling* that I'm involved with people that might be dangerous. That's it."

Mamoru's offer earns a quick bobbing nod of agreement, and even Tamaki gets a tight grin. "That would be nice, thank you. And you are my friend as well Chrono. It's just you don't hide who you really are very well." And right now he needed those would did. His hands hadn't moved from clutching around his head, fingers looped behind his neck, as he sucks in a few quick breaths. This really was worrying him to the point that the little black cat sprite that had come with Chrono flies up to pat him on the shoulder with it's tiny hand. Paw? Paw.

Adrien puts on a smile again trying to switch topics for now. "I'd love to stop by cinema club sometime, Ren."

Koji Silvia has posed:
With the lull in conversation, and the prep work going on, Koji takes the time to pull the mesh up and off the firepit, and goes to get the wood. Pouring a whole cord of wood inside, he starts arranging it for better burning, and after a bit of time, he seems satisfied with it. Back into his tent, he comes back with an odd black plastic tube, and twists it before pulling it apart.

Inside, there is a rod and a flat piece of metal. Leaning in and down, he starts striking the flame with an actual flint and steel instead of using a lighter or safety matches. Each strike sends some fresh sparks into the wood,, and be blows to try and get them to ignite. When it doesn't work as intended, he gets the camp axe he brought, takes one of the pieces of wood, and begins to use the sharp edge to cut kindling from it, "Okay then... Hey Tadase-kun, can you come over here and be ready with the sand bucket in case the fire goes up too quickly?"

As he starts rearranging things, he adds to the magic conversation for a moment while waiting for Ren to come back, "When I was learning how to use our style of magic... Chrono and I... I was taught that the most important things are visualization, concentration, and will. You have to form what you want to do in the confines of how your power works in your mind, focus that through your power's form or function... and then will it to pass through from you to your goal."

As this time, the sparks begin to get a small fire going from his flint and steel, he looks to Tadase, "Does your ability have to do with your little friend? I've seen him around and always wondered."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown held up his card, the jewel glmmering for a moment while it scanned Bow. After a moment he frowned. That was... weird. Nah, probably just the way their species worked. After all, he came from the same world as Adora and Catra, so obviously the species just had weird... mixes, that was all. "Your linker core, the magical organ, seems stable. You'd likely be capable of magic, at least. With practice.

"... Adora... went to an academy. As an art major," Chrono said, his tone flat and struggling to contain his amusement at the idea of her pretending to be an art major.

And then there was magnifying glass arrow. And he blinked. And he... "You truly are a great friend for Adora." He actually meant it in the kindest way.

He then glanced to Adrien and let the poor boy squirm for a bit, before chuckling. "You'd rather someone who is actually from earth meet from him, rather than risk me saying or doing the wrong thing and causing him to tell you to return to the private tutors?" he asked. "That's fine. I'm an enforcer, not a spy. Espionage and the like is hardly my forte, so I won't fault you for desiring someone who is."

He then glanced back to Koji and then Tadase. He, admittedly, didn't want to comment on how Koji learned. Primarily because the midchildian style here on earth and in actual midchilda were... different.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"The crystals are... a long story. But the bad guys are trying to get them, and we're trying to get them, and the reason we're both trying to get them is that if you put them together they make a key to the place I used to call home -- I guess? It's technically another dimension? But it's the heart of Earth..." Mamoru tells Hinote, then spreads his hands, knife in one and stick in the other. His voice was quiet enough, and then it gets quieter and there's a crooked grin on Mamoru's face.

"Koji's a lovely person," he murmurs, "who's very private, and very helpful, and very thoughtful. He also owns the entirety of Prince of High School, and he's exceptionally good at cooking. Not sure what else you want to know."

He glances up when Tadase says his name, but he's not being addressed, precisely, so instead he just smiles-- then puts his latest sharp stick down and switches the knife to his other hand, reaching up to snag Jadeite and get him to sit down.

"We can definitely pretend we're well-mannered respectable young rich boring jerks," he tells Adrien very cheerfully indeed. There might be a sharpness to his smile and a gleam behind glasses that weren't there before-- and that don't last long.

He picks up another stick and starts stripping it.

Ren Morimoto has posed:
Coming back down from the bathrooms, Ren has been scrubbed clean of any chicken germs and is ready to cook! He rubs his hands together eagerly as he surveys the distant food table, and his eyes are on that rather than where he's going, so he nearly stumbles over Umeboshi who had gotten tired of waiting and came looing for him.

But here he is! So Ren and his cat return to camp at a leisurely stroll, but they speed up a little on the home stretch.

"Time to start grilling?" he offers up, which prompts himself to meander over to the fire to check out how it's coming along.

Bow has posed:
Of course, now that Bow has summoned an arrow, he has no idea what to do with it, so he just sets it aside for now. It's just a normal arrow. With a magnifying glass. "Adora's one of my two best friends." he admits to Chrono. "I mean, not at first. She was a Horde Force Captain when Glimmer and I met her." comes his explanation as he hears people talking about grilling.

"But she was the chosen for the Sword of Protection, so she ended up joining the Rebellion... and I mean, I've never met someone more daring, faithful, and willing to stick to her ideas than anyone else..."

And that's when Swiftwind snorts, a gentle reminder to the archer. "Yes, yes, you are brave and great too, Swiftwind."

Jadeite has posed:
Tamaki leans over Bow's Magnifying Glass Arrow, stars in his eyes. "Incredible! You could use it to start a fire, or if you simply needed a magnifying glass in a pinch! I was going to ask if you could summon your arrows with a whistle instead of words to combine arrow types with melodies, but - if you can summon *any* arrow possible like this, then you could lean into the utility aspect! Rope arrows, glue arrows, blinding arrows, arrows you can use as handholds to climb...Do you have a limit on how many you can summon?"

He's gotten completely derailed from tent building.

"Maybe you could use that arrow to help start the fire? My -," prince, he manages to stop himself from blurting out, "friend Mamoru is preparing the wood."

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste relaxes visibly, lowering his hands again. An apologetic yet thankful grin is offered toward Chrono in response. "Thanks for understanding, Chrono. I'd rather not have to leave. Especially when things are going so well with Naru and I. If something were to happen to mess us up, I don't know what I'd do."

With that little tidbit dropped he turns to look around the camp checking out if anything else still needs done. "I think I'll leave the cooking to those more capable than myself. The most I'm good at is making espresso," he points out with a good natured laugh. "And anyone is welcome to stop by if they want a drink sometime."

Bow has posed:
When Tamaki mentions the arrows, and their types, Bow's eyes go wide. Oh god. The sparkles. The sparkles are multiplying between the two. "But I can already do that!" comes the archer's eager response. Now that he has someone that understands, the young man is eager to share. "I used to adapt tech into my arrows, so I already have.... let me show you!"

Henshining in his armor, he grabs his quiver, and starts pulling arrows.

"Net Arrow!" An arrow with a canister appears. "This has a net in it that's weighthed on the ends to use for capturing things!"

"Sonic arrow!" An arrow with what looks like several holes in the arrow head. "This one makes a lot of noise!"

"Rope Arrow!" A grin. "This arrow has a rope, I can fire it and climb up it. It's about 25 meters long!"

"Stun arrow!" An arrow with a forked tip appears. Bow presses the end of it and it sparks. "It's electrifying!"

"Sticky arrow!" An arrow with a green canister appears. "Be careful with this one, it's sticky!"

But that's enough for summoning, however, he's continuing, "I have an explosive arrow and a zip-line arrow, and a flare arrow, and a water gun arrow!" he explains. "I've been trying to think of new arrows. I heard them talk about purifying and barriers, and I would love to figure out how they work and put them in arrow form. I could just shoot someone with an arrow and clear out their dark energy! I mean, once they're weakened, of course! But that would be so amazing, and I would love to be able to help others and once we figure out how to get back to Etheria, they can help me get Adora back to her timeline too!"

Koji Silvia has posed:
With Tadase distracted, Koji finishes up getting the fire up to a decent burn, and wrangles the mesh back into place over it. Looking up to Ren, he nods and says, "Yeah, I think it's time to grill. I'll get the veggies I brought if you want to start the meats."

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari learns a thing. About a magic thing. This pleases him. "So they're a key. If I run across any of them. I'll know who to bring them to now." he says. He nods. "Oh no. I was. Just. Curious." he says about Koji with a cough as he trails off.

Tracy has come over to hover as Bow does his thing with arrows. Tracy whistles appreciatively.

Hinote Kagari looks back to Mamoru. He'll help sharpening sticks if Mamoru lets him.

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste stuffs his hands in his pockets while he just ... enjoys the vibe of the moment. The show-off styling of Bow about his arrows earns a rather broad grin of amusement. Maybe even admiration. "That's about how I feel about fencing sometimes. Less magical options though," he admits with a laugh only to watch in amusement as the conversation continues.

"Those two are really cute together," he remarks after a moment. "Don't you think so, Koji?"

Kazuo Saitou has posed:
Kazuo regards Tamaki's tent.

Kazuo looks over at Bow and Tamaki.

"I don't know why I'm bothering," Kazuo comments to himself. Aloud. "It's not like those two are going to stop enthusing long enough to sleep tonight." But he starts tacking Tamaki's tent down to the ground for him anyway, shaking bits of it into shape in the process.

Jadeite has posed:
Tamaki's sparkles are only growing more powerful.

"These have an incredible range of applications. There's a few things you could combine," and he holds up the electric and the net arrow. "For example, if you could shoot an electrified net or a net that released sticky fluid, that could make the net's trapping potential even greater." At least, off the top of his head.

"As for purifying arrows... for the magic I'm familiar with, I don't believe there's been a way to reproduce it with technology. Purification magic for us is a matter of natural talent rather than a learned skill. Which," he says with a wry smile, "isn't to discourage you, but so that you understand the nature of that line of research."

And then he startles and spins around, sticking his tongue out at Kazuo. "I'll sleep when I'm good and ready!"

Bow has posed:
"Right??" Bow says, pratically vibrating in his seat. "The other night, I used some flare arrows and a magnifying arrow as a sight and launched them into the mouth of a corn cob youma!" the young archer eagerly reports. "I mean... combonation arrows! I hadn't even considered that."

But then Tamaki is pointing out that purification magic has to be learned. "That's fair." For a moment, he seems like he's going to be defeated, but then he shakes his head. "There's so many others that /do/ purify, though, the least I can do is make sure that I can keep the target in check while they do their thing!" A bright grin. "There was a monkey youma, and I was able to pin it down with my bow while Sailor Moon used... three... three Escalations on it!"

A paused.

"I didn't expect her to transform back into a girl. That was awkward. I should still send her an apology."

Koji Silvia has posed:
From where he is at the Cooking Place, Koji says back to Adrien, "They're not graduated to cute yet. Right now they're at amusing. Wait until they're finishing each others sentences and being insufferable before you call them cute."

But he smiles to himself as he comes back and begins to use the camp axe to roughly chop down some spring onion, and halving some shishito peppers to leave on the grill mesh.

After a moment, though, he asks, "Hey Adrien? Did you bring a kettle with you for making coffee? We could use it to heat some water for some tea. I only have camp cups for that."

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste gives a laugh at the very notion of it. "I just think it's great to see them bonding over ideas like that. It's always nice when you find someone that has similar interests, one way or another." Before he can think of it overly much though Koji says the Magic Words.

"Of course I brought a kettle! Let me get it out. Do you want the regular 'camping kettle' or the moka pot for actual coffee?" He's already turned to his bag to unzip it and begin rummaging through up to his elbows almost. One of each pot type is pulled out and hefted up. "I brought coffee grounds, too, of course, for those of us who may want a cup in the morning." Pausing he considers, "Maybe I should have brought tea, too." He was a beverage-flexible!

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru hands his pocketknife (fully legal length!) and a stick to Hinote and stretches his hands and cracks his knuckles, then just straight up starts laughing at Tamaki and Bow. "Oh this is perfect--" And then Tamaki sticks his tongue out and backtalks Kazuo and Mamoru wheezes.

Ren Morimoto has posed:
Grilling, right! Even Ren, who has mostly been ignoring-slash-pretending-he-can't-see the magical goings-on, was distracted by the multitude of arrows produced. That's quite a trick, after all. But his attention is immediately drawn back when food is being discussed. "Right!"

And so he begins to carry meat over from the table to the fire, making sure to keep his fingers from actually touching anything. If the cat had, at some point, disappeared and Ren found himself with tongs, well... sometimes it's good to have a shapeshifter as your spirit guide. He clack-clacks the tongs together after laying a piece of beef out on the grill that Koi had assembled, leaving plenty of space for the vegetable accompaniment.

And then he stands back, assessing the fire. Like a dad at a barbeque. Also: more clack-clack.

Kazuo Saitou has posed:
Kazuo grins at the tent. Not at Tamaki. Definitely not at Tamaki sticking his tongue out. "So, never," he says out loud. "Got it." Or possibly until Adrien and Koji feeds him enough coffee to push him out the other side of overdrive, or Ren provides a foodcoma. These things, they happen.

Jadeite has posed:
"The only thing limiting you is the weight of the arrow - or is it? How heavy can you make them? If you don't have to adjust for weight - oh, this is the problem with infinite possibility! Where do you even begin!"

The arrows are so cool and there could be so many kinds. How is he! Supposed! To be normal about this!

But Bow's thoughtful reply gets him back on track. "Exactly. And with these arrows - if there was a youma attack in a populated area, you could use your arrows to help with a safe evacuation, or to block off paths it could flee through. If a straightforward purification attack is like...oh, the queen in a chess set, then you can become the knight."

Bow has posed:
Bow nods his head eagerly. And then there's a chuckle. "I was always by Queen Glimmer's side, ever since we were young..." And that, for the first time, brings a pause in the young man's demeanor. He was by her side - until they fought. Then he wasn't.

By the time he found her again, it was too late. He shoves down those thoughts, a determined look in his eyes. "I have a lot to think about on this!"

Koji Silvia has posed:
"Don't worry about the tea, I bought plenty from the conbini. Matcha, Oolong, some herbal teas... I wanted to make sure we had plenty." Koji says with a smile, "I'd say just the regular pot, and save the coffee for the morning fire."

He adds to help Ren, bringing back the old conversation, "It's stupid but one of my favorite films is an old one. Message From Space with Sonny Chiba. It was made in the wake of the original Star Wars film coming out in 1978. It's completely silly, but it was the first attempt by our film industry to bring in and use non-Japanese actors. If you haven't seen it yet, you should check it out. I kinda like the older stuff. Yes, the special effects are cheesy and a little silly, and everything giant is just a ruber suit... but there's this... I dunno... charm to it. They put a lot of effort into the suits, and the models, and everything else... and you can see how it translates on the screen. I guess that's why I like sentai shows too. They've got the same aesthetic."

As he turns the peppers and onions, he adds, "Maybe I'll come by the Cinema Club sometime to check it out. I didn't even KNOW there was a club for movies, but I shouldn't be surprised. There's a manga club, and a book club too."

Ren Morimoto has posed:
It takes a little doing to get all the meat on the grill, because there's a lot of it -- after all, there's a lot of people here! -- but with some careful positioning Ren makes it happen.

"I'll have to check that one out, I haven't watched a lot of vintage movies, but I'll add that one to the list," he says, encouragingly enthusiastic about the suggestion. And he does maintain a List, though it's currently in a notebook over in his backpack, so official addition will have to wait.

As he turns a piece of steak over, he looks up and smiles at Koji, eyes bright. "I'll let you know when the next meetup is scheduled! We go to the one at Four Clover Mall and then sometimes we'll go to a cafe or restaurant after, depending on how much snacks we had in the theater, and talk about the movie. It's a lot of fun!"

The smell of sizzling meat begins to radiate away from the fire, along with wood-smoke and the green, earthy smell of the camp itself. It's not quite the same as the food made with Kitchen God Cooking mode, but it's meat grilled by Guardian Sukiyaki, so it's still gonna be pretty good!

Bow has posed:
With the smell of warm food drifting through the air, the conversation will drift through the night. Music and games, laughter and fun, the warm glow of the fire will give way from main course to dessert.

And over those embers, old friendships are strengthened, new freindships are forged. In the warmth of a campfire, companionship between a group of young men create a new memory that will carry them forward into the future.

They may each have a different destiny and a differnt path. But for this moment, where they all interesect - nothing could quite possibly be better. A strengthening of the bonds, and the radiance of the heart is just that much brighter.
