Camping Date
Date of Scene: 10 March 2024
Location: Camping Grounds
Synopsis: Bow takes Sayaka out for a day in the outdoors. They cover a lot of different topics and feelings.
Cast of Characters: Bow, Sayaka Miki

Bow has posed:
Plans had been made prior after Bow's camping out with the boys that he and Sayaka would do their own camping date. After they returned, it had been about a week, and Bow sent a message to Sayaka. A picture file. Bow dressed in his camping garb - a green and grey pullover windbreaker with drawstrings and what looks like dinosaur frills on the arms. A green keropi style sun hat with a pair of eyes perched on top of it and a backpack. And the text: Ready for an adventure with my girlfriend!

First use of that word in texts. A meeting place had been set up for them to catch an Uber up to the camp site, near where he came last time. The site offers a wonderful view of the mountain in the distance, along with a small fresh water stream and a pre-set up fire pit area.

With his backpack on, bow and quiver set to one side, violin case on the other, he glances over at Sayaka. "This good?" he asks her, his smile bright and hopeful.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
It wasn't often Sayaka was back home, mostly because school got her busy and then add friends and patrols on top of that. Luckily, the first two excuses had been enough for her parents. And that was probably a good thing, since she'd never come up with a way to justify Klarissa.

Yesterday, though, was one of the few days that actually had her come home. That was where the camping stuff was, after all. Unfortunately, that also meant that she'd to explain where exactly she was going, who was coming and how long it would last.

What followed was her trying to justify Bow's presence to her parents, with her saying that they would be always accompanied by two female supervisors (Crystal Hope and Ula counted, right? Right). And that was when they had finally relented and let her pack everything she needed (although it required getting back to the school and let Ula speak to her parents through her cellphone.)

She packed lots of mosquito coils, her own tent, a sleeping bag, towels, clothes change, bug-repellant spray, pajamas, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, hygiene products, a fishing pole, hooks, bread crumbs as bait and marshmallows to roast by the fire, and even managed to sneak her spinet into Oktavia's Labyrinth (although that required transforming to do it quickly and silently). Here is hoping they don't notice it's missing until tomorrow.

When she received Bow's text, Sayaka just smiled warmly, and sent him back her own photo: she is wearing a dark blue cap, a green-and-aqua-blue jacket, black trousers, a blue-grey backpack and black camping boots. Below it the sentence: "Sneaking out with boyfriend! :P"

"Sounds perfect!" the bluenette smiles brightly at Bow once she is at the site after taking a look at his setup. "I am so glad we get to do this", she joyfully adds.

Bow has posed:
If Sayaka had asked him to accompany her to meet her parents and explain the camping, Bow totally would have. Not that it would have gone terrible or anything - I went camping with two girls all the time where I'm from! or Oh, well, she's perfectly safe, there's no chance of Horde attack! or any number of ways that Bow could have possibly put his foot in his mouth. But at least in this case that they go to school together wouldn't be a fib?

He has his own gear - tent, various survival items - Bow hasn't quite caught on to all the comforts of this world and it's camping, even if the Boys' Trip went a long way to doing that!

Her return picture immediately got a <3 emoji in response. There was handholding in the car and all the way to the campsite. The bow is with him in case they come across any trouble - apparently there's a story going around about a giant bear in the woods or similar.

As he's setting down his backpack to pull out the tent, he nods in eager agreement with Sayaka. "Me too! It's nice going on dates in the city, but I like being out here. And I wanted to see the stars some more." he admits to her quietly. "I... on Etheria, we had just been introduced to the idea when we activated Light Hope." he explains. "Apparently they had been hidden from us for a long time - I remember seeing a vase in my fathers' library with She-Ra on a Dragon - and there were stars in that image. I just didn't know that at the time."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Well, regardless of the reaction Bow would have had with meetings Sayaka's parents, that wasn't actually needed luckily, and so he was spared any sort of third degree before they approved of letting him go camping with their daughter after an intense third degree.

Sayaka is likewise unpacking her things while she is listening to him: she has started from assembling her tent, and once she is done with that, she will arrange the other necessities inside the tent.

"You don't have stars on Etheria? " Sayaka seeks confirmation. He had told her the moon were they source of light, but she didn't expect them to have no stars at all, and ever then they have better things to do back there. "Then we can go stargazing tonight too, you will like them, they are really nice when the sky is clear."

Bow has posed:
Meeting Sayaka's parents is a future Bow problem. Present Bow gets the benefits of Sayaka being sneaky. And it wouldn't be camping as much as the third-degree he'll get when they realize this is the boy that Sayaka is dating. Especially if he plans to pick her up for Prom.

His tent is simple - it's one of the things he had to get in this world, and didn't pack from Etheria. "This is so much simpler." he admits with a laugh as he works on assembling it. "...than the stuff back home." Once it's up, and as Sayaka is setting up her living area for the night, he responds to her question.

"No... apparently Light Hope..." Bow starts up, just to be interrupted by Crystal Hope.

The little crystalline figure appears on Bow's shoulder, as always. "When the First Ones sensed the threat of the Horde's approach, the She-Ra of the time opted to hide Etheria within the shadow of the star Despondos. As such, no other source of light was able to be found, outside the Moonstone."

"What she said." Bow makes a little face. "But for the Heart of Etheria to be used, Etheria had to be pulled out of it's shadow, and the stars returned to the sky. But I've only seen them for a little bit before coming here. And of course, the stars are different here."

A little cough. "Stargazing sounds fun, but not as nice as gazing into your eyes." he comments quietly, before he looks around. "I'll go get the firewood, and find me something suitable to use for a fishing pole."

He might have a little game - but he's not sticking to it.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka has finished setting the inside of her tent by now, so she pops back out with a mosquito coil on hand setting it roughly a bit away and in front of the center of the space between their tent, where she assumes the campfire will probably be and they will have their lunch and dinner.

"How are Etheria's tents?" Sayaka obviously asks as Bow remarks the easier time he is having with the tents from here. She is expecting some rudimentary tents from the context and Bow's tone, that is really it. In the meanwhile she starts clearing out of leaves the zone where they will probably place the campfire.

Sayaka had already been told that She-Ra was a constant position throughout Etheria's history, so that's not much of a surprise to her. "What what the She-Ra of that time like? And do you remember her name?" She is already guessing something about her from the decision not to use the deadly superweapon in her hand, and that makes her intrigued. She certainly figures that She-Ra to be some upstanding heroine that wouldn't resort to using obliterating instruments of terrors.

"How does the Heart of Etheria works? It's not some sort of giant laser cannon with a path straight from the core to the surface?", Sayaka frowns. She is imagining Etheria having an unfathomable abyss that allows for the core to strike out at any time. "And I guess it must be able to forcefully rotate the planet."

And then there is that sneak attack Bow uses on her. Unfair, she might say, as she is distracted from her current task and turns to Bow. "That... I mean... Thank you", she accepts the flirting. "You are really nice, but also quite sneaky", she grins after recovering.

"Something suitable to use for a fishing pole? What do you mean by that?" She is really only used to a single concept of a fishing pole. Fishing with a stick randomly found in the woods is nowhere near her expectations. "Don't you have something like this?" Sayaka asks, bringing out the fishing pole she took with her.

Bow has posed:
"The Princesses usually had their own tents - I mean, for setting up and all. They were plenty room enough, but there were smaller tents that we'd make." Bow shrugs his shoulders, "Pretty simple stuff, but enough to provide shelter."

Crystal Hope considers for a moment. "Mara. Her name was Mara. And she was... a friend." the little creature offers quietly. But when Sayaka asks how the Heart works, Crystal frowns a little. "I do not remember that information." she says bluntly, and before Sayaka can question further, she disappears back into Bow's earring. Which she is totally using the cover of Bow's flirting to her advantage.

"I'm still learning." Bow grins over at Sayaka as he gathers the firewood to bring over, and among the wood, he pulls out a shaped stick for himself. She pulls out the fishing pole, and he looks at it. "We usually had nets and stuff." he admits, as he gets out a knife and starts whittlng at the stick.

"I suppose I could shoot fish with an arrow, I mean, that's what I usually did back home."

Setting the stick aside for now, he comes to join her to get a closer look at the pole. And just to be closer to her as well. "Oh, this would be a good chance to show you how to use the bow, if you wanted to learn."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka snorts when Crystal Hope disappears without answering her. Why has she gone back? What is she hiding? She may have gotten much more accepting on the whole, but secrets, lies and obfuscation... That's something she just can't tolerate. With Kyubey and all those like him. And she certainly considers what Crystal Hope just did as entering this category.

"Does she always do that?" Sayaka asks Bow. "If she really didn't remember that information, she would have no need of retreating like that. She is hiding something. Don't let her do to you what Kyubey did to me", the bluenette warns him, her heart in a vice when she thinks of Bow being in some danger he can't get out of."

Sayaka helps him along with gathering the firewood since she couldn't do anything with his other request, and watches quizzically as he takes a long stick from the ground. "How do you intend to use that?" He can't be thinking of attaching a string to it, can he? What about the hook? And the bait?

And then he offers to teach her how to use the bow right. "That sounds great!', Sayaka replies, leaning against him in enjoyment of the closeness he sought.

Bow has posed:
"I don't think it's that..." Bow doesn't sound defensive, instead, she can see he's trying to figure that out as well. "The things that happened that brought us here, I think she might have gotten damaged in the process. I know she already was in whatever happened to cause our Adora to disappear. I think she's just a little hurt by it all?" he asks, but accepting of what happened with Sayaka and Kyubey.

"I'll be fine." he promises her, as she gets close, he reaches out to slip his arms around her waist to hold her for a moment. "Don't worry. I'm being careful. I don't want to get wiped out. I want to save Etheria, but there's got to be a way that... we can bring the timelines together... make something where I can co-exist. Or even... help them home, if I have to stay here."

He's getting distracted, and presses a kiss to Sayaka's forehead to help soothe the bluenette. "I plan to tie a string and an arrowhead to it and dig around for a worm and fish." he offers proudly. Because that was fishing back home.

But to the comment on the bow, he tightens his grip on her to give her an embrace. "You're already a great aim with your swords, I just... I dunno." He's trying to find more reasons to spend time with her, truth be told. "If I'm doing too much, we can totally have some space."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka shakes her head. "Her retreat is a clear 'I do not want to talk about this'. She is not simply damaged, she is witholding information." But he promised to be on his guard, so that's all she can really accept from him.

"I trust you will be", Sayaka says, giving him a hug. Even so, it's really hard to see something coming from someone he still feels she is an ally, so she will stay close to him for as long as is needed.

Sayaka accepts the kiss to her forehead warmly. It does help calm her... somewhat, even as she can't get the fact Crystal Hope is always hanging incredibly close to him, and there is nothing she can do about it. At least Kyubey could be kept away.

But his demonstration of affection is also a reminder they are there to enjoy their time together, and she accepts Bow's explanation on how he fishes, since it clearly works for him.

And besides, she has bigger fish to fry than ask questions its efficiency, since he is working himself up about bows versus swords. "Bow, I would like to learn from you. Even if I am probably going to always use swords better" - on account of hers being magic and all - "I am going to enjoy learning a new skill from you." She then does her own reassuring, reaching up to kiss him - not on his forehead, because that would be a hard demand - but on his cheek.

Bow has posed:
"I'll be careful, I promise." Bow offers to Sayaka. And it seems that she's reassured, as they pivot around from Crystal Hope and her purpose towards the Heart of Etheria and Bow and into the idea of her learning new skills.

A grin is offered to Sayaka, "Good, because I mean... you've shown me so much." he admits to her quietly. "Your world, things about it, and everything..." And she's leaning up, and probably turning to kiss his cheek. At least that might have been her plan?

But he intercepts her. It's a full own kiss, and he lingers there for several moments, before she pulls away. Because she has to tippy-toe to kiss him sometimes. "...you've also shown me your heart, Sayaka Miki." he smiles down at her. "And that is one of the things I've come to enjoy most. I want to learn more from you, and teach in return." He lets out a sigh of contentment, before he steps back. "Okay, we should get things set up before the sun sets, and you are 'totally' distracting. In all the best ways."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
With her plan disrupted, Sayaka's eyes indicate both surprise and enjoyment towards Bow's initiative, and she kisses him back, making it last for as long as she can, and taking as much of this moment as she can before she gets back down.

"You are the last person I need to hear I am distracting from", Sayaka replies with an amused grin. "Flirting with me as soon as you get the smallest opportunity, pulling off stunts like this one, and walking around with your abs exposed. You are a clear temptation yourself." She is tempted to include his handsome face into the list, but that would be unfair to him, so she stops there. Otherwise she might then be tempted to had his fun demeanor, and things would only snowball from there.

"But I want you to know that I really love you, Bow", Sayaka settles on saying. "You have been the best I could possibly ask and that heart you admire is yours forever." The heart of a knight and a heart in love at the same time, that wants to make sure he can be at peace at least here, that he can get the break he deserves.

"Sure, let's do that", Sayaka says. And with that, getting a dinner for the two of them is imperative, so she takes her hooks and bread crumbs then heads to a nearby river.

Bow has posed:
"I mean... noone has ever complained before." Bow says, suddenly self-conscious as he sets his hand on his stomach. The abs are not showing at the moment, and now he's thinking consciously about it. But he shakes it off, as she continues. "I will point out that you are the one that flirted with me first." he points out to her, as he considers her words. He was the one on the mission and was ready to stay on that path.

Sayaka made that decision. To want more from him. They could have just been friends. Probably really good friends. And when she finally saw him off - it'd been bittersweet, but it would have been as friends. Instead, she made it clear she wanted more. And she pressed that into him until he finally realized what it was she wanted. And now, there's a new step she's offering him. 'I really love you, Bow'. That brings a smile from him, the Etherian teen studying her face as she trailblazes along. He doesn't say it back. It's clear he has affection for her, but he still needs to decide what that means.

"Then I will watch that heart and we'll do good together." Bow finally decides upon. "From what you've told me. As tenacious as you are. As strong as your spirit is. Maybe we can do it together." Save his home, he means. Save his life, he means.

But she's pulling away, heading off to get her gear, "Hey wait up. Totally coming with!" he calls out as he moves to grab the bow and quiver. He may not have had time to fashion a pole, but there are other ways to fish!

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"And I never said I was complaining, no? You started talking about distracting things and I followed suit", she lightly pats him on the arm in response. Because if she never said anything when they were strangers, why would she start now they are in a relationship?

Not to mention he starts saying she was flirting with him first, and that's not actually how it went. "Bow, I had never flirted first. You became a special person soon, so when you had started listing my good qualities, well, my heart knew what it wanted to say, and I earnestly relayed that message."

He was right in one thing though. "I am well aware I expressed my feelings for you first, and I will continue doing that for as long as this relationship goes on, because there is not a single lying letter in those words, and there never will be", she declares, confidence clearly read in her blue eyes.

When she reaches a river, she starts preparing the hook, and the bait soon follows. It is not much longer than a swing happens and the weight flies through the air, with a plop being accepted into the crystalline waters of the river. "Want to come here?", Sayaka says, as she dusts off and sits on a rock large enough for the two of them.

Bow has posed:
"Okay, that's fair." Sayaka may actually make out the little eyes that Bow makes as she sets him back in his place and reminds him exactly how this relationship developed. "Yeah, well, I kissed you first." Small victory there, right? Even if he had clearly made it clear he wasn't going to do that - until he realized that he should.

And then she starts in with her conviction and confidence, and he draws in a little breath. She's so assure, confident in her thoughts and feelings. Reaching up to rub at the back of his head, just above his collar, he watches her throw out the first cast.

And then the invitation to join her. Moving to settle down next to the bluenette, his eyes watch the water and her line as the bob bounces up and down gently, ready to alert Sayaka when she gets a strike.

"So do you go camping often?" he asks her curiously. "This isn't your first time, obviously." comes his thought, as he glances aside to her. "I've probably spent more time outside than inside, if I were to be honest."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"You did", Sayaka concedes. And it was a big surprise for her as she didn't expect for her feelings to be returned for a while still. A very sweet gift with what was supposed to be a lesson on using chopsticks.

Sayaka smiles as he takes her up on her offer and settles next to her, not diverting her eyes from her water surface, but taking 1 hand off the pole to caress his. She will take it back when there will be an actual need of it.

"Not really all that often, just a summer activity for the family, or so my parents loved to say. I was never actually interested in it, but it's useful now", Sayaka points out. "And being with you makes everything a thousand times more worthwhile."

Bow has posed:
Slipping his hand into Sayaka's when she offers it, Bow listens to her speak of her past summers and life. It's a subtle reminder of how different they are, when it comes to how they were raised. His camping trips were more for survival - there was precious few moments for fun, as much as the Rebellion and Princess Alliance tried to make it out to be.

A small chuckle escapes his lips, a fond squeeze of her hand as he glances aside to study the Puella in profile, his grip on her hand loosening so she can take the pole with both hands should she need to. "Last time I was camping with friends, I mean, before we came here, it was just before the Rebellion attacked the main Horde base near Brightmoon... we strategized for hours on how to do it. Glimmer, Adora and I... we really didn't have a plan any of us agreed on. But we were together. And I just had faith, it was going to work out."

"And now we're all splintered. We're going to get Adora back... but Glimmer. The others." A soft noise, one of worry for his friends. "I'm glad you're here, Sayaka. It gives me confidence. It gives me hope."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Those wildly different experiences is what made them who they are, so even if Sayaka has lived a completely different existence from his, she is glad Bow is the person he is: despite everything he went through, he is an amazing person, and an amazing person that is here, with her. And she will do everything she can to make sure Bow can be happy now.

As Bow speaks, Sayaka remembers how close-knit and happy the three of them had appeared in Bow's video, the very first thing that made her swear herself to his happiness. "I can see why you would do that", Sayaka smiles at him. "There is something really precious and irreplaceable in your group."

And that's something that is not easily broken, and even when it does happen, it can be reforged to an even greater splendor. "I am glad I can help you, Bow. You three will be together again. You are the Best Friends Squad, are you not?"

Just then a fish takes the bait, and Sayaka keeps the pole in her grasp with both hands, letting the fish tug at it a few times before starting to reel it in.

Bow has posed:
"We are, yeah." Bow says quietly, agreeing with the Best Friends Squad bit. The smile he puts on is genuine for Sayaka and her feelings, but he still feels that little pang inside. They need him.

Even if they refuse to admit they need him.

When the line suddenly twitches, he brightens up. "Ooh! Ooh! I think you got a bite, Sayaka!" he calls out, and when she takes the reel with both hands, he cheers her on. "You got this!" he offers in encouragement, a bright smile, a warmth in his eyes as he watches her work, ready to help her if she needs it.

Noone says a squad only has to be three people, right?

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka smiles when Bow cheers her on, and she can feel him be watchful in case she could use an extra hand.

Turns out Sayaka doesn't need help with this fish, because this fish... is very small. So small that eating it is not worth it. With a sigh, Sayaka delicately removes the hook from the fish and lowers it back into the river, letting the fish swim free.

"Ok, let's do this", she exclaims preparing the bait again and tossing the weight back into the river.

Bow has posed:
"W--wait!" Bow says, stopping Sayaka before she can set the fish loose. Why? Why is he in such a hurry to stop Sayaka from releasing the fish? Does it have a crystal shard? Is it a special fish?

No. He holds up the phone that Ula helped create, and turns it around, bringing the fish and Sayaka into the frame with him and grins. "Our first catch together!" he explains to Sayaka.

It's not the size of the catch, it's the enjoyment of it, in Bow's mind! Once he has the selfie of him, Sayaka, and fish, now he'll let her set it loose and recast her line.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sure, a photo actually sounds nice, and Sayaka holds the poor fish just long enough to let it appear into the photo before giving it its freedom. That's enough from that small fish.

"Did you use the same models you had shown us when in your planning session with your friends?", Sayaka asks while she waits for another catch, recalling the amusing miniatures.

It doesn't take much longer before it repeats, and this time it must actually be quite the big one, because Sayaka is struggling not to lose the pole to it, her knuckles white from the effort.

Bow has posed:
Once the photo's done, Bow makes sure Sayaka gets a copy of it as well, the pair of them in the first steps of their relationship, everything is picture-worthy, right? It's an expansion of Bow's visitation and learning this world - with a great guide right next to him.

"Yeah, that was one of the things I packed. They're my military miniatures! For wargames." Totally not dolls. Or toys. Totally not toys. But before he can say anything else, Sayaka has another bite, and as she starts to struggle, Bow moves.

Sliding in behind Sayaka, he straddles her from the back, his arms coming around her, his hands covering hers, giving her an extra set of hands to pull on the line with, the pair of them close together. "We got this." he tells her in her ear, voice warm and encouraging. "Don't give up."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka wil certainly keep it in a special place on her phone once she receives that phone. It's great camping memory for the two of them, so she will treasure it dearly.

"They are pretty nice", Sayaka says once own confirms her guess. "Did you make them yourself? I imagine they must have been useful a lot of the times." They certainly make it easy to study everyone's relative position.

Sayaka doesn't intend to give up, but she certainly appreciates when he comes in to help with an extra 2 sets of hands, and his closeness is just another another boost to her already high levels of grit as the both of them fight against the fish's pull, and soon enough, their catch soars through the air, landing with a thud in front of them, a prize the size of a plate and a half.

The photo Bow takes of this one will probably be worthy of a social media post.

Bow has posed:
"Thanks... and yeah. I mean, I know a lot of things. Just nothing that seems to apply greatly here." Bow responds with a small chuckle. "Not that it bothers me much..." And nothing else gets to come out on that as the couple join together.

He lends her just the help she needs, it's her catch, he doesn't want to take it over, and when they land the large fish, Bow gives Sayaka an encouraging and warm squeeze before he lets her go. "You did great!"

And you bet there's going to be more pictures. Once that's done, he glances over at Sayaka. "Do you know how to clean and gut these for cooking?" He's well-versed in it, but if she wants to do it, he's not going to stop her as he holds the fish by it's mouth.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka hugs Bow back just as warmly when he does, relishing in the joy of their shared victory, as the fish is lying quite far from the river. Considering how strongly it kept thrashing, she wouldn't have been surprised if it found its own way back to the river otherwise.

"We did great!" Sayaka remarks, to remind him they caught it together. After all, before he came, she and the fish were locked into an equal fight, her pull against its mass.

Then he asks her about whether she knows how to clean it and while she isn't that bad at it, she figures Bow is probably much better. "I can do it, but you are probably much more experienced. Is it ok if you do it, please?"

Bow has posed:
"If you're sure?" Bow asks, more than willing to let Sayaka have it all if she wants to do it. Well, maybe she can make him a meal someday. But for now, he bows elegantly to the bluenette and his eyes flash with sparkles when he smiles. "As you wish, Sayaka."

And with that, he's heading back to the campsite. Whipping out a knife, it doesn't take him long to prepare the filets, the same as he would do back on Etheria. It's clearly something that he's used to as he soon has the fire turned so the smoke is blowing away from the fillets as they start to cook.

"What did you want to have with this?" he asks Sayaka. "I'm still learning about vending packets." And to illustrate his point, he tried to buy some rice kits from a convience machine, and they're kinda all over the place. Mainly because he doesn't get what flavor is what yet, so probably what looked appetizing to him. But there's nothing with flames on it at least?

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"Yes, I am sure", Sayaka replies, playfully patting his arm. He has a lot more experience than someone doing it every once in a while during summer when her parents got in the mood for it. She knows Bow is doing a much better job.

And she is proven right just after that, when the fish and cleaned and gutted with skillful mastery. "You prepared them perfectly", she smiles at Bow over his good work. You see why she was sure? Compared to her rougher cuts, now the fish can be properly enjoyed.

While she helps keep the fire alive, night has started setting around them, and the fire is soon their main source of light. Light which helps her see what he has brought. "Great thinking, Bow. I believe noritama would be the best choice here", Sayaka replies, pointing to the relevant packet.

Bow has posed:
She picks the side, he is preparing the main dish. Bow doesn't realize how domestic this date has become in the outdoors. "Go ahead and prepare the noritama then." he offers to her. A warm smile is offered her way, as he goes about preparing the tableware for them to sit next to each other so they can eat.

"So." Bow offers, trying to figure out what he wants to ask her next, glancing up at her, and his cheeks warm slightly as he realizes he's staring a bit. "What would you like to show me on our next date?" he finally asks her curiously.

The fish is set on the two plates, and he brings them over to Sayaka so that he can glance at the patch of ground next to her. "This seat taken?" he asks playfully.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Well, Bow is fine with her choice, so that's what Sayaka does, opening the rice packet with the noritama seasoning and soon Bow can smell the seaweed, eggs, sesame and green tea salt in the air.

When it is ready she sets their two portions right next to the fish on the plates he prepared. "We did great", Sayaka says, looking at Bow with cheer on her face over what they prepared together. "It all smells so good." And the fight with the fish earlier helped in making her gain an appetite.

While she eats her meal, her shoulder slightly brushing Bow's arm from the closeness, she blushes a little in reaction to his question, because she has plans thanks to Hinoiri and moreover she has a fancy new outfit that her ex-girlfriend paid for.

Not to forget that thanks to Ula's push it is actually something really cute, even if Sayaka objected she wouldn't be right for it. "Well, I am inviting you out to a meal at a fancy restaurant. Want to come?"

Bow has posed:
"We did." Bow agrees as he settles in next to Sayaka, their plates matching as he starts in on his meal as well. The first bite and he draws in a breath. It's good. Sayaka's addition is delicious and the fish is nice. When Sayaka presses a little closer?

He doesn't withdraw from her, letting her lean into him. His hand settles on her leg, giving it a little squeeze in response as he returns to his meal.

"I picked this, so I assume that's our next date?" he asks her. "I'd be happy to go with you." comes his response, a smile at her, warm as the firelight dances in his eyes. The rest of the dish is eagerly devoured, and his plate is set aside, so he can fully focus his attention on the teenager next to him. "I don't really have anything very fancy, though. So I'll need to take care of that."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"I don't think there is much effort to take for you there", Sayaka smiles, actually flirting at him here. "You already start out fancy." And that is so truly right.

When Sayaka is done with her meal, she sets her plate aside, leaning against Bow, her head rested on his shoulder, looking towards the fire, the flames creating a very clear contrast against the night. "Don't you think this is very atmospheric?" Sayaka asks, not moving at all from her place unless Bow makes a sign to.

She doesn't withdraw at all from the sudden contact of his hand on her leg, that too part of this moment. "You and me, close together, with this fireplace burning bright in front of us, and complete silence outside of the two of us?" It is like an image out of a picturesque art book, except the two of them are living it. "It is all so very peaceful and romantic, right?"

Bow has posed:
"Yes, but if it's fancy, I should wear something besides blue jeans and a hoodie, or my armor, hmm?" Bow asks with a lift of his brow and then Sayaka is making herself even more comfortable. And Bow takes the hint.

His hand leaves her leg, moving to slip around her back, holding her at her waist and pressed against him.

"Yes... it is." he agrees. "It's warm and comfortable. I'm happy to be here with you, and we've had fun... and now, well, here we are." And Sayaka is painting a picture for him. And she makes sure that he knows every little brushstroke that she's setting down for him.

"I would agree with all that." he admits, feeling his heartbeat pick up a little faster, and warmth rising in his cheeks. "You know..." he ventures. "...if you're looking for a kiss, you don't have to ask, right?" He's pretty sure she knows that by now, she can kiss him whenever she wants.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"By the way, Bow, if you wanted to look at the stars, now is your chance", Sayaka reminds him while his arm seeks her side, holding her closer to himself. "The stars are probably much brighter here than the city. You may have already seen them last time you had that boy camping, but if not, now we have all the time in the world." Well, at least a night. Nobody is trying to impose a curfew on them.

This would be a nice moment for a kiss, this vibe in the air has made her feel a lot more propensive to just what he guessed. "That would be quite nice", she replies with shining eyes, part of it the reflection of the fire in front of them. And then she turns around, without breaking the cuddling, giving him that kiss and holding it.

Bow has posed:
She lays out her case to him, and she's right. Even with the firelight, this would be a prime time for Bow to go out and look at the stars, to stand beneath them and realize their vastness and where he is in the grand scheme of things. Is Etheria even in this universe? He doesn't know, he wouldn't have the vaguest idea where to begin his search.

But there is something else going on here. She's close. And the warmth of the moment, the feelings that they are sharing - the soft chirp of the crickets, the crackle of the fire. It's all a little symphony - it's a song for them to heed their wants in the moment. And as his dark eyes meet her bright ones - ones as bright and brilliant as the most powerful of stars, he asks. "Why would I want to look up at the stars when the prettiest one is right next to me?"

And she turns and presses into him, his other arm closes around her, and he returns that kiss, more than willing to return it with everything she cares to offer him.

After several moments of their shared and mutal affection, they finally break. There are stars to look at. Hands to be held. Stories to tell, laughter, warm conversation, soft affections to be shared. And finally, seperate tents to rest in, before they have to make their way home after breaking camp in the morning.
