Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Yoru was drawing something on a bit of paper, probably something important that Ikuto would later be annoyed with him for doodling on, when a thought hit him and his ears perked up. "Ikuto...have you bought a suit yet, nya?" Ikuto looked over from his manga and tilted his head. "A suit? For what?" Yoru tilted his head as well. "Don't boys usually wear suits to those school dances?"

Ikuto quietly set the volume he was reading down and stood up, a dark cloud suddenly hanging over him. His fingers were a blur on his phone as he quickly typed a message to the one person he knew who might understand his sudden predicament.

'TADASE. I NEED TO BUY A SUIT. TODAY. MEET ME IN THE CITY I CAN'T GO TO PROM LIKE THIS.'

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase read the text and chuckles softly. Poor Ikuto, he doesn't have a suit? And prom is tomororw. He feels a little bit bad for it. "Alright, Kiseki, we have to go help Ikuto get a suit."

"...did you ever get a suit, Tadase?" Kiseki asks.

"No, I've got one." Tadase says to Kiseki, shaking his head.

"Ah. Are you sure it'll be the right one to wear then, though?" Kiseki asks, and Tadase's eyes go wide.

"It's... probably... fine?" he says... opening the door to his closet and looking at it. Now he's not a hundred percent sure. It's alright, but is it 'Princess Prom With Ami Mizuno nice?!' "Maybe we should... keep our eyes open too. While we go help Ikuto out."

"That's something I didn't think I'd hear you say. That you wanted to help Ikuto." Kiseki notes. Tadase grabs his things and mostly ignores this remark, heading out to meet Ikuto... and maybe moving a little bit more swiftly than he would have before looking at the old suit. 'Meet me at Juuban's shopping center.' he texted to Ikuto on the way out the door.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto tucked his manga and Yoru's drawing(It was on a school assignment, of course.) away in a bag and set it aside behind a loose vent grating, knowing it would be there when he returned. "Alright Yoru, we're going to Juuban. Wait. I don't have MONEY."

Yoru grinned. "Yes you do nya~" He held up a credit card and Ikuto grabbed it. "Did you steal someone's- oh, it's just Nikaidou-sensei's. Alright, then. Good work Yoru."

A few minutes later, and Ikuto would quietly drop down from a tree near Tadase after spotting him from a rooftop. "...Thanks for agreeing to help. I didn't want to just ask Chiyo-chan to help me find a place to buy a suit. Too embarrassing. ...I hope she has a good time at the prom. It sounded like Utau really made things difficult for her before."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase walks up and listens to Ikuto, and looks at him. "Are you sure she's not going to make things difficult 'for you', Tsukiyomi-san?" He says, looking at him a bit concernedly. "Utau's one of the musicians that'll be playing there. And you know she still seems upset about you leaving."

"Let's make sure we get you a suit instead of rent one in case Utau throws the whole punch bowl at you." Tadase suggests as they make their way towards Juuban's shopping centers. They are assuredly NOT the only RHA students there. A lot of girls and guys doing last minute shopping, of the window or otherwise variety.

"...also, isn't she going to be a little annoyed at you for going with Chiyo-chan?"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto flinches. "Utau is going to be upset no matter what I do at this point. Especially once I really start taking apart Easter. I still need to get with Hinote-san, too. I think he's got a lead on my father's violin. Huh...where do people even buy suits, anyway? The only one I had is a funeral suit, and that's back at the house. Can't really go there these days. You know, Easter sent another person to try and make me go back? That fiery girl, Sunbreaker. Gave me some splinters with those timber wolves...I was lucky though. Hinote, Coco, Amy, even Madoka..they were all nearby and we fought her off together. It felt nice, fighting alongside people I could rely on."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase nods at Ikuto's words. "Yeah, on that one I think you're right. No matter what you do, Utau's gonna be mad at you." He says. "But I think it's got less to do with taking apart Easter and more to do with... not letting her in on things." he says.

"I mean... you tried to keep me out, too. And now you've walked out without her, so she sees it as..." and he sighs. "Okay, that's not what we're here for, admittedly."

Then he paused. "I think I've encountered Sunbreaker. You know, though, they're not going to give up yet." he says. "You're probably gonna be dodging goons for a while." he tells the cat.

"Wait, we're doing it again. We can talk about how much trouble you've gotten yourself into after we stop you from getting into trouble with Chiyo-san too. We gotta find you a suit. I... might need a new one too."

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
"I'd heard you managed to get a date. That kind of inspired me to take a chance and ask someone myself. I can't just hide away forever, after all. Still...I don't know. What sort of place would have suits that look cool? I'm gonna get something that'll really impress Chiyo-chan. Something...flashy, you know? I'm always trying to blend in, so I should get a suit that makes me stand out."

Yoru laughed. "Maybe we should try one of those shops like those old guys in crime movies always go to. You know, the ones where it's just a room with suits all hanging at the door and inside? You're not gonna find anything -cool- at some fancy place. Besides, I don't think Nikaidou-san has enough mo-" Yoru found himself unceremoniously stuffed in Ikuto's pocket before he could say more.

Tadase Hotori has posed:
"I mean, you've got an evil organization full of monsters and just lame regular guys looking for you, and you want to 'stand out'? THIS is when you decide to stand out?" He asks, incredulous. And then he starts laughing. "That is... you have changed less than I have."

He starts to walk with Ikuto. "You know, what was Yoru saying about Nikaidou?" And then he pauses. "I probably don't want to know, do I." He says, and shrugs.

There's a sort of... not-quite-thrift-store around the corner, but a place that is absolutely dealing in clothes that don't match the latest trends. There's not exactly a lot of customers there. Or any, really. Since the proprietor is standing outside looking a bit bored. But there's certainly a *wide variety* of clothes within, right?

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
"Oh, what about that place? Some of those suits look pretty interesting." Ikuto gestures to the shop in question, and...it's quite obvious why the shop doesn't have much traffic. This is a shop that has very few customers, but the ones it does have wouldn't really have any options besides such a shop.

Most of the clothes on display here are...old, to say the least. They've clearly been cared for, but they're all twenty or more years out of style. The catboy seems to not notice, and Yoru floats back up to stare in amazement as Ikuto ponders over the different suits.

"Some of these look pretty nice. Check out these colors!" He turns to the shopkeep. "Excuse me, I'm looking for something to uh...wear to a school prom. Something that'll really impress my date, and her...grandparents I think is who she stays with usually? But, yeah. I want to impress them."

The shopkeep is surprised to see such a young customer, but shrugs and motions Ikuto towards a changing room. "Try...the furthest back on that rack on the left, young man. It's sure to make you a hit at the prom."

A short while later, Ikuto would walk out in...a suit. There were three things noticeable about it right away. First, it was white. Second, it had pinstripes. Third, it was a rather dated double-breasted style of suit. It might impress Chiyo's grandparents if only because they might think they'd gone back in time to their own school days. "Well..? What do you think, Hotori-san?"

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase looks at it. He doesn't, in fact, tell Ikuto not to wear it. Not out of any meanness, he just knows that what Ikuto is looking for may not be... what he is. "Well, I think... it's a choice you -could- make." he says, noncommitally.

"Well, if you want attention this will probably get it." Kiseki adds. "But I don't know about impressing people." He admits.

"I don't think the suit matters as much as how you carry it. You can look ridiculous in a tuxedo or not, and you could probably look ridiculous in this or not. I mean. It's old. Most people are not going to be able to pull it off." he admits. "I would... I would not try on that one, myself. But if you like it, you should... do it to the best of your ability?" He says.

"It's certainly better than no suit at all or a funeral suit. Or a suit that ends up with holes in it from you trying to get it out of your own house."

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto nods. "It's really flashy, yeah. Pretty cool though. It'll be a night to remember. I'll take it. How much is this one?" The shopkeep shrugs, walking back insode with Ikuto following. "I can tell you like this one, so...I'll cut the price a bit for you. 20,000 yen, and I'll include a voucher for dry-cleaning so you can get it in perfect shape after your date."

Ikuto walks out with the suit in a bag, and someone else's wallet significantly lighter. "Thank you for your business, Nikaidou-san! You're guaranteed to be her Prince Charming with that suit!" the shopkeep calls out.

Yoru is trying not to laugh. Trying so very hard. He doesn't want Ikuto to feel bad about the suit. He might even be able to make it work, after all. "So, you need a suit too right Hotori-san?" Ikuto asks.

Tadase Hotori has posed:
"Cool is in the eye of the beho-" Kiseki begins before being thwacked in the back of the head like a paper football by Tadase.

"Well, you bought it so all you can do now is rock it, right?" Tadase says. Looking at the suit right up next to Ikuto it is like... he wonders if he's doing the other boy a disservice. But it's not nearly as bad as some of the non-truths Ikuto told Tadase, right?

"I mean. Make sure you like how it looks in a mirror, though. Before. Like. Soon. So that if you need to get another suit you have time." he suggests. "The girl you're taking deserves that at least right?" There. Helpful. But not mean. Tadase can thread that needle, right?

"I do... but I think I'm going to go for something..." Tadase begins, hand to his chin.

"Made in this decade." Kiseki finishes. "Really, if you're going to go old you should go real old, like medieval old."

"I'm not showing up as a medieval king." Tadase replies. "But... all of the other places have those crazy long lines. So maybe... while I wait in line and fight through the crowds, maybe go try that suit on like I said. You don't want to decide you hate the fit and it's too late, right?"
