Sunbreaker Goes Camping
Date of Scene: 31 July 2023
Location: Plot Room 1
Synopsis: Sunbreaker goes to a nice, relaxing day of energy draining at a local park. Some sparkleskirts(Amy Faust, Yellow Pearl Voice and Cure Sunny) get involved and end up ruining her day! Also, they hit her with her own bear. Who DOES that?!
Cast of Characters: Hinoiri Kirara, Norie Okana, Akane Hino, Coco Kiumi, Amanda Faust

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker was ready. It was a beautiful, sunny day. The birds were singing, some kids were playing by the water. There was even a family cooking up some hamburgers on the grill.

There was even rumors that some new up and coming band was going to play a concert here tonight! Granted, that literally WAS just a rumor. Because all that was here... Was danger. Oh. And campers. Danger and campers. Probably boats, too. Danger, campers and--

Either way, Sunbreaker had chosen the place well, as it was quite packed today. It started with a light draining, gentle, people feeling a little tired... until a few seconds later small, red gem appeared in her hands. She then crushed it.

A moment later, black lines of magic blazed across the grounds throughout the park, a massive, glowing arcane circle. Children, once so hyper began to collapse. Those in the water began to paddle slowly to shore to fall asleep on the beach. Those cooking began to flip their burgers one final time before even the heat on them shut off.

And in the center of this circle a great, inky polar bear began to rise up, its body comprised of dark energy and fueled by the energy of those trying to enjoy their nice, calming day at the campsite.

Sunbreaker sighed and then pulled out the piece of paper, mumbling/reading off it so softly none could hear. "Stupid rent-a-youma system..." she muttered. She was NOT making that ridiculous callout loud enough for anyone to actually HEAR. She had SOME dignity.

The magical girl then disappeared in a puff of black fire, only to appear on top of her great, inky-black polar bear a moment later before waving her hand and making an apple teleport to her hand from a nearby campsite.

She'd make a big, grandiose speech but, really, everyone was falling asleep. What'd be the point?

Those who arrived on the scene wouldn't have to look very hard to find the source of this disturbance. At the center of the massive arcane circle spanning the park, the two story polar bear that seemed as if it was made of dark energy stood, little bubbles of dark energy floating up and dripping around it. On top of it hovered the magical girl, a girl with burning hair, a swirling black horn and black and orange clothing. Black eyes with burning red embers in the center and black flames occasionally sputtering off her body, though they left no burns. It was fairly obvious she had a 'thing' she was going for, fire and black. Frankly, it was fortunate the bear wasn't on fire (yet).

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana was dragged here by her brother. "It'll be fun!" he said. "No it won't." she said back. Still, her brother tried to make her smile again and here she was because her mother made her go. Camping... concerts. She used to love this stuff. Now it felt like a slog. Something useless.

Still, as she sat there with her brother over a fire, with marshmallows... a magic circle appeared and he went down to his side, spilling the sweet treats everywhere. Norie Okana just stared. No concern. No nothing. This made her twitch. She knew she should feel concenr. Something. Anything.

So she stood up, and walked into her tent... and with a flash of dark energy, La Crima came out and sort of sighed a little, sulked, and floated to the branch of a nearby tree to sit down and watch.

"What is it now." she says. "Is.. is the bear going to offer me energy now?" she said a bit annoyed. "I'm going to be so annoyed if that happens." she says as she narrows her eyes at the bear and it's 'tamer', gently sighing miserably.

"So. What is going on here?" she asks curiously.

Akane Hino has posed:
Akane was here... surprsingly alone, without any of her classmates. She wasn't here intending to camp, though. She was actually just going for a run, nearby, when she felt it. That... feeling. The same feeling she felt before the attack from the dragon. Only this time, she didn't slump to the ground and start trying to bemoan her existence.

Well, that was an improvement. She could have run away, but that wasn't who she was. This time, in fact, she had the tools she needed. Or at least, she thought that. In the moment she wished she had spoken with Peace and Candy a little bit more. Oh well, she thought, no better way to learn than to jump right into the fire! With... fists... of fire! Okay now the puns were even in her head. She shook her head and pulled out her compact.

    "Pretty Cure, Smile Charge!"

After the fire replaced her althletic outfit with a substantially more floofy one (which she was happy felt lighter than it looked, after the running she'd just did) she ran over to the source and saw... a Polar... bear. An evil polar bear. And a girl on top of it. A flaming girl... with a horn on her head? This didn't look like the dragon at all. Whatever, she'd fought a giant net with a clown nose, she could handle a bear.

"You!" she shouted, pointing at Sunbreaker. And then... pause. Hands on her knees. A few breaths. She had just been running, give her a moment. Single finger up. Then, going back to her feet.

"You! What are you doing! Bringing your evil to this... nice camping ground!" Why weren't THESE words coming to her like the others. Did they not... do these speeches? "Whatever I'm about to punch the heck out of you if you don't stop and undo whatever you're doing!" that'll do.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
"Thank you, I'm glad to know everyone is doing fine. Tell them I'm doing great too and that I miss them." Coco is out in the open sea to receive the regular report from the South Pacific Ocean. The messenger, a dash-dot goatfish quickly excuses itself, before going away to the long journey back home. 'I'm glad the news are positive this time too.' She is unsure as to why the water demons haven't attacked her kingdom yet, but she is glad the South Pacific doesn't seem to be a target for now.

Now that she is all alone again, the mermaid resurfaces, jumping 20 meters into the air before splashing back down to the surface of the water. She laughs a bit as she jumps, the joy from knowing everyone was doing well really contributing to her mood.

'Ok, time to go back now, it's almost time for the outing with Amy', she thinks, aiming to the isolated rocks she entered the water from. According to rumours, There was supposed to be a concert there, and Coco was really eager to check it out, to the point she invited Cho, Mio and Amy too. However her roommate was busy with reprimanding Wuwu for something he had done, again, while Mio was talking with her father.

'Huh, people sure are fast. I'm surprised they are already having a post-lunch nap', she mentally comments as she notices the sleepy people on the beach. 'Luck is on my side this time', she smiles, putting more energy into her motions back to shore.

'No, this is not natural', she realises as an inky polar bear appears out of nowhere, its big figure a standing place for a girl with flaming hair. "I should have specified in the message the demons here don't know the word rest!", she exclaims, kicking the water even more energetically with her tail as she speeds up to reach the demonic girl. Reached the rocks, she hoists herself back on it, before beginning to turn straight into Yellow Pearl Voice.

With a shining splendor emanating from her pearl, her tail turns into human legs again, before her idol clothes appear on her as a kaleidoscope of colours cover her, with her trusty E-Pitch in hand. 'Ok, next the Live Stage', she thinks, calling upon it as the white sphere rises into the air and brings her closer to the camp.

"People were having fun here!" she shouts to the flaming girl. "What makes you think you can just barge in here and do as you please? You better prepare to face the music!"

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy wonders why Coco doesn't want to travel together, but eh, she can pass the time on the bus ride reading or playing games, so it's alright enough.

The redhead steps off the bus in a red T-shirt and black slacks, with an oversized field jacket tied around her waist and a Radiant Heart Academy baseball cap on her head. On her back is a US Army surplus MOLLE assault pack in desert camo pattern.

Ugh. *Campground*. Memories fly through her head, of young Mallory being dragged *away* from the videogames, TV shows, and computer that brought him joy, because his family thought he needed to... be uncomfortable? Get eaten alive by mosquitos? Honestly the purpose of camping was never really clear to him. Although, it did have its moments. Hiking through the woods as a hyperactive child with plenty of energy, on a day with just the right cool breeze, listening to the wind in the trees and just taking in the surroundings, or making s'mores at the campfire.

But it was mostly terrible. What do people like so much about *camping*?

Fortunately, she's not here for camping, she's here for a concert. She assumes Coco is handling the tickets and such. She starts walking towards the crowd of people just to check if the concert venue is *obvious* before she texts Coco, but.

Everyone gets tired and collapses around her.

And there's a goddamn giant bear in the distance. "HERE? SERIOUSLY?!" Amy sighs. She reaches down her shirt to clutch her soul gem and transforms.

Anyone looking at her would see an ovoid of flame-colored light growing from ger gem to surround her, enveloping her, lifting into the air with her unclothed silhouette curled up inside, long hair floating as if she's under water, before the light cracks and shatters and Amy, now covered in flames as if from an explosion, snaps back, and the flames fade to leave her new outfit in place. The viewers, were this an anime, would see a long, extended sequence highlighting each step of the transformation, and the flames disappearing from each part of her body in turn to leave that part of her magical girl outfit, but for any observers here, it's all over in a few seconds, ending with the red Puella landing on her feet as the last of the flames dissipate from her outfit.

She lifts her arm into firing position as her rocket launcher appears, then hesitates, She holds out her left wrist, and the alice band in her hair disappears, her soul gem moving to the inside wrist of her glove.

She's still got a little more than a quarter magic left. It'll be.. fine. Hopefully there are other magical girls here... if not, maybe she can lead the monster away and come up with a plan that won't use too much magic.

    For right now...

She takes aim at the bear's center of mass and fires, sensind an explosive rocket streaking across the campground towards it. That oughtta get their attention...

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker blinked and then peered over to the... girl in the tree. Well. This was... awkward. Now she kind of wished she had prepared a speech. Oh well. She then sighed before holding out her right hand. A moment later a small, dark red gemstone appeared inside it. "Isn't it obvious? I am harnessing the vigor over a wide area and transfiguring it into a solid vessel for later use." She then swished her wrist and the gem disappeared.

"I think the more important question is why aren't you aff--" Then there was someone ELSE yelling at her. She peered over the side of her bear and gave another sigh. "Go ahead, take your time. Deep breathes, child." Dear heavens. Were these the 'sparkle skirts' she was warned about? She had half a mind to have the bear swipe at the girl while she was catching her breath... but, frankly, it hardly seemed right. How was she going to properly demonstrate her superiority to them if she attacked them in such a sneaky way?

"It's hardly evil. I'm merely harnessing their own wasted energy for a much more fitting use. In a few hours they'll wake up and I'll have gathered their energy to put to a far better use."

And then there was a third one. She crossed her arms and glanced towards her. "By the stars... are you the last one? Am I going to have to explain this to ALL of you? Right, going to simplify this. People, have energy. I, turn energy into ma-gic. I then use this magic to do more important things. Things YOU lot should just... run along, before you start interfering with. Listen, I get it. You're all..." Eh, probably about her age. It was hard to tell with humans. But certainly she had them beat with experience. "Young. Naive. Innocent. Believe you're... actually, I'd be incredibly impressed if any of you had any idea WHAT you were doing," she said in a dry, annoyed tone. "But fine. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. You probably think you're doing something... useful. But you're not. You..." It was then that she noticed the other girl was... flying. As well. Well. Had made a stage of her own. "Okay, you might understand it. But really, I don't have all day to go over basic vigor conversion with you lot. You're these 'Sparkle Skirts' I've been hearing about, aren't you? Let it not be said that I'm not generous. I'll allow you the opportunity to either sit down and wait until I'm done, or leave. Those really are your only options."

Satisfied that now these magical girls would surely leave, she starts to lean back to relax... then sees a strange, flame propelled... wait, what is that? Is it a weird bird or--

BOOM!

The bear lets out a massive roar and topples to the side, rolling twice before coming to a skidding stop in the water. Sunbreaker, was nowhere to be seen...

Before she materialized in a burst of flame, now on the ground. Her right eye twitching slightly. Her clothing now covered in mud and VERY ruffled. Her hair a mess. "What in TARTARUS kind of bird WAS THAT?!" she asked, gesturing towards... whatever it was that just hit her. WHAT?!! Then her eyes fell on Amy and she lifted a hand, snapping her fingers. "Very well. You want to play with FIRE little girl?" she asked before holding out her right hand and muttering a few quick incantations. A moment later a tiny little ball of black flame came from her hand.

Then darted forward, like a firefly... But when it hovered over where Amy HAD been, it erupted into an explosion of black flame, like some kind of grenade.

The bear, meanwhile, began to rise up, climbing from the water and shaking itself off, sending little tufts of dark energy around, though its side was now scorched. It let out a loud, furious roar!

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima watched the going ons blandly. She looked down to the ground of spilled marshmallows and wishes she'd brought it up with her. She reaches down, thinks and-----accidently releases a ball of black energy at the marshmallows, sending marshmallow everywhere, on her unconscious brother, onto the tent and onto the tree she's sat on.

"...Oops. I meant to try to see if I had telekinesis. I... do not have. Telekinesis." she says with a grumble as she rolls her eyes and watches the mystery fire girl fire at... isn't that one of the girls from last night?

Still, she floated upwards to the top of the tree and sat down on it to get a better view. And away from the angry fire ladies.

"Ss---sparkleskirt!?" she sputters out.

Akane Hino has posed:
Akane is... really quite heartened to see the other magical girls show up. Good, she wouldn't be doing this alone. She guessed the girl with the horn took the place of the dragon in her first fight, which made... the bear the net youma? Really all of this was kind of annoying. Why was she trying to... oh, because she still basically had no idea what she was doing. Riiight.

Akane smacked her fist into her palm and rolled her neck and was about to say something cool and heroic (really, it was going to be, honest) but got interrupted because another magical girl launched a big rocket at Sunbreaker. Not that she didn't appreciate it (she super did) but it cut her off.

The bear roars and Akane grins. And Sunbreaker was using fire. "You know since I'm Cure Sunny I'm pretty sure I get the rights to the fire thing." she said. Then she snapped her fingers and made a dashing charge at the bear. She wanted to see how far she could punch it. Maybe across the river? How many hits could it take? How strong was she without the green mage helping her out? On the way over she snapped her finger loudly, like a light being struck, and fire engulfed her hand before she went to sock the giant bear in the mouth, because that's how the Pretty Cure do. She absolutely felt trained and ready to do the punching part, unlike the uh... speechy one.

Amanda Faust has posed:
                                     BOOM!

Oh hell YES that actually made the giant bear ROLL! Look at it! LOOK AT IT! Amy pumps a fist, grinning. So satisfying!

And she got the attention of its commander, which was... planned! Now she just needs to play dodge tank while the other girls do their thing!

Some kind of dark ball thing comes her way, but Amy doesn't just stand in the metaphorical targeting circle, she just starts running in a giant circle around Sunbreaker and her pet, counterclockwise spiraling inward. She glances back, but THAT attack doesn't seem to track her. Huh. She shouldn't assume the same to be true of all this demon's attacks, though...

"BIRD? Are you from another world without movies or something? That was a high-explosive warhead... all this magic shit's from ancient times, right? It's like Terry Pratchett said... 'Mankind has tried many ways to combat the forces of evil. Prayer, fasting good works... Until now, no one thought about the double-barrel shotgun. Eat leaden death, demon!' Except, this is a rocket launcher. And *actually* it's magic so I guess I'm fighting magic with magic? But look how it sent your monster ROLLING, DAMN, huh?!" She laughs cheerily.

But hey. If this one is willing to talk... she glances at her magic meter. Let's encourage talking. She can do that.

She leaps through the air to land a few dozen feet away from the bear. "So. You're stealing their energy. But here's the thing... I don't get what's so damn enjoyable about being here either, but they're enjoying themselves. They're happy. People should be able to do that! Life is full of problems and they're taking a break from them. But you're taking that away from them. They wake up, missing this time. The, the stress relief they could have had. And how many were going to... who knows? Hear a really good joke from a friend. *Tell* a really good joke to a friend. Maybe a chance meeting with a new friend that could alter the course of their life! Or maybe they just get a grilling tip that makes the rest of their burgers taste a little better--"

She turns and says, conversationally, to a young man passed out at his grill, "You ever try mixing barbecue sauce and bits of raw onion into the hamburger? With that bit of sweetness from the barbequeue sauce," she makes a chef's kiss gesture with the hand not holding a rocket launcher, "why, you can still enjoy the taste even if your dad always undercooks it!"

The red Puella looks back to Sunbreaker. "--Where was I? Yeah, you have no right to take that away from people!"

There's another firey magical girl here. "Hey," Red calls, "I'm just doing *explosions*. And I don't mind if you do 'em too!" And then Sunny is charging in to see how far she can punch a bear. "Oh HELL yeah! GO!" Red cheers her on, pumping a fist in the air. "Do you do like, exploding fire punches?!"

Coco Kiumi has posed:
Yellow Pearl Voice waves at Red with a smile. "Hello, Red. Nice to see you here. Sorry for earlier, but I was busy." Turning her attention back to their opponent, Yellow Pearl Voice waits for the flaming girl to collect herself from the attack to the bear before replying. "The name is Yellow Pearl Voice for you, not Sparkle skirt. As for your offer, I guess I could leave, but youu see I'm doing that without these people."

She points down at the people that are now forcibly sleeping. "We have been upholding our duty since time immemorials and I'm not about to let you do as you please because you feel more knowledgeable. And since the mockery you are doing of polar bears has already felt my friend's answer, I think I should also let you hear mine. Legend of Mermaid: Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Start!"

Yellow Pearl Voice starts singing into her E-Pitch, infusing the hair with the blessing of her magical voice. The bear starts growling in pain as the songs proceeds, its notes hurting the dark magical essence he was composed of. Though irrelevant to the attack, Yellow Pearl Voice accompanies the song with dance moves, swinging, twisting and doing pirouettes.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker sighs when her explosion left a crater in the ground. A part of her wanted to do it was a warning shot... But apparently the other girl thought it was time to annoy her. Great. Then the first girl was sputtering about the title for them. "Yes. Sparkle skirts. That was what I was told you lot called yourselves," she said. Ah, of course. A pack of sparkleskirts, the scientific response.

Still, she glanced back to the one with.... explosives. She, at least, understood explosives. "Why would anybody desire to attach explosives to high velocity... huh. Actually..." She glanced towards her bear. "There's an idea. I wonder... Well, what's life without a bit of experimentation?" she asked. "Yes, yes, your explosion sending my bear rolling was quite impressive," she said dismissively. Though, despite her mocking tone... it was quite impressive. It would have taken her more force than she cared to admit to send a bear like that toppling. Were she not aiming that thing at her, she might have been--

"Wait. Did you just say your name... was... Sunny?" she asked the other girl, her eyes narrowed on Cure Sunny. "Oh, you little--"

And then she punched the bear. The fire erupted OUT. And EXPLODED down the bears throat, making its body expand and then BOOM! Black ichor flew out into the air, half the bear flying away...

After a few moments, though, the inky energy seemed to stop in midair... then slowly flow down, compressing back into a bear form... while the bear, once more whole, stumbled back a few steps before sitting down and staring at them.

Her eye twitched again and she turned towards the red puella. "You speak of hypothetics. What could, possibly, happen. A waste of time. I speak not of hypotheticals, I speak of reality. I have no care for a 'could' be useful, when I have a 'guaranteed' to be useful. It--"

And then Yellow Pearl. "Singing magic? Fascinating," she said before glancing towards the stage. Her bear had been toppled, blown up and now starting to evaporate from the purifying song.

"Very well, then. If you children wish to play this game... you all are dealing with magic you do not understand. But I will allow you to partake in my experiment."

She disappeared in a puff of red fire, once again appearing on top of the bear. "Three of you. Now, back home they would say I was worthy of a dozen mages, the fact you three have managed to annoy me this much is quite impressive. Truly, give yourself a small round of applause. You deserve it," she said, the sarcasm clear in her voice.

"But I believe playtime is over. What did you call it? 'High-explosive warhead'? 'Leaden death'? Well then..." She then placed her palm against the bear and fire erupted around it. Her eyes went wide before she suddenly slammed both palms into it.

D-damn. This was... a lot... harder than she thought it would be... Holy...

Then, finally, the bear disappeared. She panted for a moment, laying there suspended in mid air, holding up a finer. Ah. It seemed she needed a moment this time. "R-right. As... as I was saying..." Then her eyes turned towards Sunny. "They call me... Sunbreaker. Run."

A moment later, Cure Sunny would feel a tremendous heat behind her. As the bear seemed to materialize behind her... And then *launch* itself at her... aiming not just at her... but heading in a straight line towards Yellow Pearl Voice and her stage. A makeshift missile of her own, the bear burning away in the black flame. Sunbreaker slowly lifted her head, a smirk on her face. Sure, it was going to cost her a youma and... a lot more energy than she'd expected, but it wasn't like these three could POSSIBLY stop a missile of her own magic, right?

While the bear would dig deep gouges in the ground as it traversed, it was getting slightly smaller by the second, Yellow's song managing to weaken it... But could the three manage to stop it?

Akane Hino has posed:
"That's right, Pretty Cure Sunny." she said, and patted her emblem in the center of her torso bow. Peace had the same emblem so it probably meant something. Probably just P for Pretty Cure.

"Wait you're seriously Sunbreaker? That's no good. More like Sun...faker! Sunfaker, yeah. I'm the real one and you're the fake. Sunfaker." Sunny said, with a sort of authority that joke did not deserve.

But then there was... a lot going on. It was kind of hard to follow. And then there was... Sunbreaker's heat so close to her. It wasn't the warm, comforting heat of a summer sun, but the angry heat of a desert, the sort of thing where you woke up with sunburns heat. And then there was... a bear. Launched at her. So close, at point blank. Like it was going to try to take her and the bear into Yellow Voice.

"No! Nonononono." Cure Sunny shouts, digging her heels in and trying to... wrestle... the magically-launched bear... to the side, to the dirt, where at least it would just be her and the bear on the ground, but hopefully stopping before they hit Yellow Voice. Oh, this was gonna skin her knees up bad...

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima watched curiously, still wishes she had marshmallows, she floats down and searches the campground for more. She finds what she's looking for and nabs the bag from another unconscious family. She digs into the bag and swallows a handful as she floats away and watches...

The bear turns into a 'missile' and this makes Norie whistle as she goes. "Impressive." and then blinks as Cure Sunny leans into the bear to try to stop it.A

'Am..Am I supposed to be rooting for her?' she asks to herself.

'No.' says the voice back in her head.

"Ah..." she says out loud.

Amanda Faust has posed:
As Sunny *explodes* half of the bear, and it reforms, a plan comes together in Amy's mind:

                                     15:49, 23 August 2023 (UTC)

"I've got it! We can take this thing down easy in no time!" announces Our Heroine.

"I'd like to see you try! You pitiful humans can't beat my magic!" growls the villainess.

Red is conveniently at Yellow Pearl Voice's side. "Can you sing a song that will counter the bear's regeneration abilities?"

"Un!" replies the yellow magical girl, nodding with stars in her eyes at the wise and clever Amanda!

cut to Red at Cure Sunny's side. "I need you to grapple the bear, then spray it with flames, you'll know when. Can you do that?"

Cure Sunny salutes. grinning with a cute little fang. "Sure thing!"

While Yellow's song starts up, the fiery-hued magical girls and the bear charge eachother! Red stops just in front of it, dodging its bite and claw swipes just out of reach, while Sunny grabs its neck.

Red grins. This is her moment! As the bear comes forward for another bite, she sticks the rocket launcher in its mouth and fires! Like when Sunny punched it but more, most of the bear EXPLODES, and as the inky mass that's left tries to regenerate, it wobbles like a ferrofluid on a speaker from Yellow's song, and Sunny spews flames from her fist to burn it to a crisp!

The Villain, gritting her teeth, stomping her feet, and shaking her fist at the heroines, opens a door in space next to her. "I'll get you next time, Gadget! NEXT TIIIIIIIME!" And then steps through the door and angrily slams it as it becomes empty air again.

Amy stands triumphant, grinning, one hand on her hip and the rocket launcher casually resting on her shoulder, as the other girls cheer! "Wow, amazing, Red-sempai! You helped so much!"

                                     15:49, 23 August 2023 (UTC)

Yeah. It's alllll gonna come together. She's kept the mage talking, now Amy just needs to--

    Wait what

The bear...She's turned the bear into a rocket! There's no time, no time! "DEFENSES UP! SING A SHIELD IF YOU CAN!" She shouts as she fires a rocket at the ground to launch herself at Yellow, aiming to tackle her out of the tree and out of the bear's path!

Coco Kiumi has posed:
Yellow Pearl Voice is caught by surprise by the bear missile. 'How fast is that thing?' is all she can think before the bear is about to strike her. Luckily Red is thinking quickly and tackles her out of the way. The Live Stage disappears while the two magical girls move out of the bear's trajectory. Meanwhile the bear is toppled over before by Cure Sunny's efforts. Yellow Pearl Voice looks at the other two magical girls, grateful for their assistance.

'She said she was Cure Sunny, right?' she thinks, noticing the magical girl grappling the youma. "Thank you, Red and Cure Sunny. You are lifesavers!" 'I better give Cure Sunny a hand though! Who knows for how long that will work!', she decides, recollecting herself as she prepares her encore and reforming the Live Stage.

"Legend of Mermaid: Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Start." She resumes singing, the magical notes carrying a beneficial effect this times, suffused with a charge that will give energy to her allies.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
There, and now they would run and--

... And run... They were going to--

Her eyes went wide when suddenly Cure Sunny decided to try and CATCH her missile. What in the--

Akane was pushed back, but to Sunbreaker's surprise, the bear was stopped for a few moments. Her mouth fell open and she watched. Did that ONE girl truly think she could STOP one of her attacks? She growled and lifted her right hand, dark energy gathering around it. The flames around the bear began to get stronger, growing as the bear began to push against the magical girl. Sunny's feet leaving deep gouges in the ground as she was steadily driven back...

However, it buys precious time. Amy manages to tackle coco out of the way, saving her from the bear missile mere moments before the bear finally manages to shove forward, a might paw striking Akane's feet out from under her to make her topple back. It then surges forward, rolling over the girl and striking where the stage... HAD been, but now was just empty air.

Sunbreaker was panting, her eyes narrowed on them. "Impressive. Managing to stall my assault.... but how fortunate," she said. "It looks like I'll be able to perform this experiment a second time."

She snapped her fingers and the burning bear turned towards the three... Before rushing forward once more, letting out a furious roar....

This time leaping into the air and tucking its legs in...

And falling at Amy. It... it was cannon balling her. "Very well. Let's see if you can avoid this explosive warhead."

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima hovers in the air and finally hovers down closer to the affair, curious to see what'll happen.

"M..maybe you shouldn't do the same thing...?" she says loudly. "T..try something different!" she says as the firey girl suggests trying the experiment again.

"...Ugh why bother, like you'll listen to me..." she says, floating back upwards and back to her safer tree top!

With her marshmallows. CHOMP. Nomnomnom.

Akane Hino has posed:
Cure Sunny gets up from the ground. She's got a few superficial scars but honestly for catching a bear-cannonball and going tumbling through the dirt like that, she could have done a lot worse. So she's not great. But she's okay.

"Hey, Sunfaker. Remember this." She says, as the bear is ready to be launched again. "I'm Cure Sunny. And you're... not." She says, as she channels energy into her compact. To heck with this stupid bear.

"Pretty Cure..." "SUNNY FIRE!" she yells as she runs forward, leaping into the air, and double-hand spiking the volleyball of fire as it appears, so it can go streaking off on a collison course with the bear as it's in the air. Because if there's one thing Sunny knows how to do, it's put a volleyball right where she needs it to be. Even if that volleyball is a fireball.

After that, though - that's when the exhaustion sets in. "Oh.. hey... Still Cure Sunny!" she says before tipping over sideways and resting on the ground. Sunny Fire takes a lot out of a girl.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
'That was close', thinks the mermaid princess, glad that all three of them were safe. The thought is short-lived as the bear starts charging at them once again. 'How much energy does this thing have!?', thinks Yellow Pearl Voice, as the bear just doesn't stay down.

This time however, providence is on their side and this providence comes in the form of a red magical girl with particularly strong artillery. "Great move, Red!" 'With the youma staggered, it's now or never', Yellow Pearl Voice decides.

The bracelet on her wrists start shining, a halo of yellow light moving downwards from the mermaid princess's head, her clothes becoming more elaborate as it does so.

"I am going to start my last encore! Bonds: Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Start!" The stronger notes spread through the energy with more impact than before, seeking to purify the darkness of the youma with all they had.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy shields Coco with her body. ...Seconds pass, and the expected explosion doesn't come. She turns to look...

Sunbreaker is trying again. Damn, she didn't detonate the bear. Amy gets to her feet...

And it's coming for her. There's no time. Damn, Mio told her to stay out of it, and maybe she should've listened. She can only fight like this a couple more times before her soul gem is depleted... But she's here, now, and has to stop this.

The fiery-haired girl's expression is one of tired resignation. Confident she can win, but at what cost?

"Aura pillar." She mutters, as her launcher is replaced by a larger tube strapped to her arm, which she aims forward at the bear. "...DIRECT FIRE VERSION!"

Unseen by Amy, Coco's singing has limned her soul gem in a soft glow. That disappears now, and the darkness grows, perhaps less than it would have, though it still nearly eclipses the red, just under 1/5 remaining...

Puella Red's signature half-finisher fires, the missile immediately breaking apart into several smaller ones, which spread out slightly in front of the approaching bear and air burst just before impact.

To Sunbreaker it probably looks like CHEATING. She's seen Red use two explosions now. She's got a good feel for how they work. But this is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. The normal all-around shockwave and fire is muted and barely present, as all of that energy is instead concentrated into a thin line, each little missile seeming to release a lance of light that acts more like extremely powerful yet confined disintigration magic as far as Sunbreaker can tell, piercing into and deleting long, thin rod-sections of Bear in an instant. Only it's not *actually* disintigration, as the mass is still there, in the same way that a tissue paper blasted by a firehose is still there, paper molecules lost in the stream.

...This would surely kill a living being that depends on a lot of critical internal organs not having holes in them, but uh... actually, is the bear even that? This may have been a bad idea. It does DAMAGE, sure, but it doesn't really stop most of the bear from being a projectile.

    Fortunately, Red's not alone.

Was this a good plan or not? She'll find out shortly, won't she!

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker sighed and then glanced towards La Crima. Ugh. If there was anything worse than advice from the back of the classroom. "Obviously after an experiment doesn't yield the desired results, but yields a somewhat... permissable outcome, you adjust the variables and test again. In this case..."

However, before she can continue, she is ONCE AGAIN called Sunfaker. "SunBREAKER! I'm not a SUN! I BREAK the SUN! You pompous, pathetic little--" And, unfortunately for her... she looked RIGHT as EXPLOSION after EXPLOSION and then a volleyball of FIRE struck the bear! Its rapidly deterioting body hovered there for a moment before it finally expanded one last time.... and faded away like wisps.

They did it. They actually. Did it. They STOPPED her SPELL. They destroyed her youma. They BROKE her FIRE spell. It took MOST of the energy she'd gathered to do that...

The dark lines across the ground began to fade away and she let out a low growl. Eye twitching. She crossed her arms before, once more, becoming enveloped in flames.

She re-appeared besides Sunny this time. While she didn't want to admit it... she was exhausted. She doubted she could fling out a spark, let alone a fireball right now. Even hovering, which was so easy with dusk energy, would have been a struggle. Sweat on her brow... but... but...

She was petty. So she stood over Sunny and glowered down at her. "First of all, per official dueling regulations of Sora's School for Skilled Spellcasters, a duel is to be performed between equal amounts of mages. While my bear may have qualified as a second, that still means you had an additional mage. Therefore, while I am leaving this is NOT a victory. You, 'Sunny', cheated."

And then... she reached down and grabbed her by the crest, lifting her up. "And it's SunBREAKER! SunBREAKER! Say it RIGHT next time or I'll BREAK YOU!" she snapped before... lightly throwing her.

Into the shallows. So she'd be in like. Half an inch of water and landing on the sand. YES. It was *petty*. But Sunbreaker LOATHED losing more than ANYTHING. Even though she didn't officially lose. She then glanced towards La Crema. "AND YOU! How about next time you pick a side. If you want to give advice, actions speak louder than words. I'll let you three off this time with just a warning. Get in my way next time and I WON'T be so KIND!" she yelled before dusk porting away....

And collapsing onto a bed to whimper. Ow. Ow. Owwwwww. Getting ran over by a toppling giant bear and over exerting her magic and just... everything ached and she had the biggest headache.

NONE of this had been worth it.

Norie Okana has posed:
La Crima wilted and holds her 'I told you so's for someone else. She sighed and flipped her hair a moment before she settled down to the ground and sighed. "Amazing. Now, if you'll excuse me." she said to the group as she melted into the shadow of a tree and was gone, appearing back in her tent, under it's cover and upping her human guise again, softly muttering and stuffing her face with stole marshmallows. "There aren't even helping."

'Will I get fat if I continue eating like this?' she asked internally.

'Like a human? No.' said the voice back.

"Good." she said outloud as she continued stuffing herself with marshmallows.

Akane Hino has posed:
Sunny, mostly exhausted from her thrown attack, rolls over so she's face up in the water and not face down. She's laughing a little bit. Just softly. Throwing her hand up with the fingers making a 'V' shape. Not getting up. That takes too much energy. But she's going to celebrate as much as she can.

"Heh. heh. hehehehe. We got her. The three of us. Together, we won. Wooooo." she says before the hand falls to the water. She's not unconscious, but it's not like she's gonna get any more filthy (and this is a henshin anyways) so she's just gonna... rest here for a while. Yeah. Tired.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
With the same speed by which Yellow Pearl Voice saw her appear, Sunbreaker disappears, leaving the three magical girls on the campsite. "Are you all right, Red?" asks Yellow Pearl Voice. "Do you feel hurt anywhere? How is your jewel?", she asks with a certain urgency in her voice, remembering the last time the Puella Magi was in critical conditions.

She also turns to check Cure Sunny's conditions, who was in close range with the bear a lot of the time. "Are you ok too? Your strikes were amazing, you are really impressive." She gives her a smile, before the Precure falls to the ground. Fortunately, she is just tired. 'Probably best not to tire her further by trying to move her'. She was resting anyway.

Akane Hino has posed:
Sunny laughs a few more times from her impromptu mud bath. Eventually sitting up. Standing up would still have to wait. "Oh yeah... I'm fiiiiine. Just really tired. I was running before this, I ran to get here, and then I ran all over. And then I did the thing with the fireball and that makes me really tired too. But I'll be fine. I just need a little bit."

"I'm Cure Sunny. Who are you two? The one over there with the rocket launcher, I don't think you're a Pretty Cure. If you are I want to know who your fairy is because I want one too."

Sunny tilts her head at Yellow Pearl Voice. "You... might be? But I think you're... well, I don't really know. What's your name, are you a Pretty Cure?" she asks. She's still panting. But then it seems like Yellow drops too, and Sunny kind of is like "You know what? We'll talk later." she says, to the retreating Amy's back. "Yeah..."

Amanda Faust has posed:
Red's expression becomes 'oh, I think I fucked up', but then their attacks DO work on the bear, and she nearly collapses with relief, barely standing. As Sunbreaker chastises Sunny, the Puella stands up, trying to *seem* threatening, her launcher returning to its default form as she keeps it trained on the mage. Once she's gone, Red lets it dissipate and her arm drops to her side. She flashes a V sign back to Sunny with a nervous grin. "Yup...!"

At Yellow's questions, she slowly turns her head to look at her. "I feel... tired." She looks at the jewel, expecting it to be barely more than... hmm, about 1/8 full? At the rate she was burning through energy before... and her eyes widen in pleasant surprise. "Huh! I used less this time..." She taps her wrist, and the gem moves to the outside of the wrist, so Yellow can see that it's about 1/5 full. Which is still, you know, an awful lot of darkness compared to the little bit of red left. So, if she was in critical condition before, she's even moreso now. She looks like someone expecting a scolding. "I know, I know, I should've listened to M-- Cure Daybreak and let you two take care of it, but... I couldn't just stand by!"

Since everyone's unconscious, she grabs a burger and some ketchup from one of the larger groups of unconscious picnicers that appear able to spare it. "Do you girls want any? I think we've at least earned a little." She takes a bite. "MMH. A's ooh." She smiles. There's a taste she hasn't had in awhile!

She comes over to kneel by Sunny. "I... haven't decided on a magical girl name yet. 'Red' works as a nickname for now. I'm not a Pretty Cure. I think your... patron, wouldn't think highly of you seeking out Kyubey." She shows the gem to Sunny, as well. "Also I have limited magic. I hear most other magical girls *don't*?"

Akane Hino has posed:
Sunny laughs. "Well, right now I feel pretty limited, actually." she admits. "Red it is, then." Akane says. She holds out a hand but it's muddy like the rest of her, so she looks at it and just puts it away and gives Amy a head not. "Good to meetcha. We should probably all... get going... before everybody wakes up, right?" she asks.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
"Nice to meet you, Cure Sunny", Yellow Pearl Voice says, glad she was well enough to speak. "I am not a Precure. My Power comes from this pearl I carry around", she replies, showing her the yellow pearl currently set into her E-Pitch microphone.

Akane Hino has posed:
Sunny looks at it. "That's neat. You did the singing thing, right? That's pretty cool." she says, finally staggering to her feet. "It made me feel... better, I think?" She asked, looking at Yellow Pearl as though it was a question if it was supposed to do that.

"Come on, we can... walk and talk." Though Sunny looks like she's not in a whole lot of condition to walk, she manages it. "Besides, I'm a mess, I don't want anyone to see me in all this mud, I don't look like a hero at all." she half-whines.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
Seeing her staggering, Yellow Pearl Voice offers her a hand. "You took the brunt of Sunbreaker's attack, please don't push yourself", she worries as the Precure gets up. "Yes, it's supposed to do that. It's a natural effect of our magical singing. I can sing more for you as we walk", she proposes, while also looking at Red.

"I think it's too late for the concert to happen, but I can be the replacement", she suggests to the Puella Magi. With that, the three of them go on a walk, accompanied by Yellow Pearl Voice's singing..
