IT HURTS IT HURTS ITHURTSITHURTSITHURTS!(CW:Gruesome wound)
Date of Scene: 22 September 2023
Location: Dorms #1
Synopsis: Sunbreaker got a little hurt in her last foray with Obsidian, requiring her to turn to Double Trouble for help. They... do. Though the apartment surgery is a little haphazard. But that's what MAGIC is for!
Cast of Characters: Hinoiri Kirara, Double Trouble

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker was known for many, many things. Being angry was the big one. But right now? Well... when she dusk ported into the middle of their kitchen? She was *not* angry. She was certainly not calm. She had a black, dark energy rose *through* her right palm, the thorny stem sticking out one side and the flower sticking out the other.

It hurt it hurt it hurt! She felt like she was going to throw up, tears streaming down her face before she reached out to try and tug it out... again... only to let out another pained whine/whimper/barely suppressed scream. "D-Di...Dia! W-where... you?!" she asked/hissed/cried/sobbed.

Double Trouble has posed:
The door was locked, and Double Trouble was alone in the suite, so their necklace was tucked away in a pocket of their mesh bodysuit. They never went anywhere without it, even when they weren't wearing it. They were lounging on the couch and watching television when their roommate just appeared in the kitchen and started screaming.

First, they raised the volume on the TV, to better mask Hinoiri's screams. Then they dashed over to the kitchen, and just stared for a minute, before asking, "What happened?"

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
"I'm gonna kill that little prancing diamond dog of a bastard by shoving a ruby halberd up his flank and practicing carbonizing theorems of occult armories on them GET IT OUT!" Sunbreaker all but yelled. All in all, the fact she wasn't screaming at the top of her lungs was a clear sign of just how much control she could have, but the tears streaming down her face was a clear sign of just how much pain she was in.

"I-I can't, hands, they're useless, j-just get it out, I-I can't, PLEASE!" she begged, shaking her head and clutching her hand. The flower on one side meant it wasn't going to be easy... the thorns on the other side told them that it was going to be very, very painful. "I-I don't care how j-just get it OUT and g-get me some bandages!"

Double Trouble has posed:
Double Trouble blinks. They're good at improv, really they are, but this is just such a shift in modes from what they were doing moments before. It takes them a few more seconds to get entirely with it. "Right, bandages," they say, and then turn around and dash to the bathroom, without doing _anything_ about the rose.

When they come back they not only have a roll of gauze and some medical tape, but also a heavy-duty scissors. Which, apparently they found in the bathroom. Maybe they popped into their room on the way back. They set the bandages and tape down on the table and then come over to Hinoiri with the scissors in hand.

"Alright, darling, your pain is almost over," they say, as they grab hold of her hand, slide the scissors along the back side where the stem is, and try to cut it off. They grab the blossom at it's base, and try to pull it the other way.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker was not taking it well. Also, dripping blood all over the place. But she was NOT taking the pain well, at all. Pain pain pain pain PAIN! And then her fri-- roommate came back with scissors and for a moment she wondered if she was going to cut the entire hand off. And was ODDLY OKAY WITH THAT! It would have been BETTER to be honest!

But then the scissors instead tried to cut the stem and she let out a low whine, high pitched though. It took a few seconds to get it to cut through. Dark energy and all that. But finally Sunbreaker just hissed and muttered a quicky spell, the blade edge glowing and finally cleaved through. It dropped to the ground... And then yanking the blossom out.

That? THAT made her scream. Just for a second. Oh, that wound looked nasty. She crumbled to the ground, the tears flowing down her face in two little rivers, holding the hand. She then reached up with a bloody hand, scrambling for the bandages, yanking them to the ground with her.

Fire. Suddenly a LOT of fire. She was chanting... something. Her good hand clutching the damaged hand. She could likely see the hole through it and... oh... that... that was some bone there. Then fire. The smell of ash, both hands enveloped in it, the bandages disappearing...

Then... then it was over. The bandages were wrapped tightly around her hand, forming an almost... obsidian cast around it. And sunbreaker just sat there, covered in blood and tears and lightly sobbing, clutching her hand and shaking.

"T-t-t-thank you..." Sunbreaker said softly, the... actual... gratefulness likely not expected considering her condition. But certainly warranted. "I-I fucking... h-hate hands...

Double Trouble has posed:
Double Trouble just watches for a moment as Sunbreaker makes the medical tape they brought completely superfluous by somehow fusing the gauze into a much cooler dressing for her wound. Magic!

"Ah yes, but it's so much harder to grab things without the opposable thumbs!" They say, wiggling their fingers.

They immediately go and get a rag and wet it. They get down on the floor and start cleaning up the drips of blood. If it never dries, it'll be like it was never there.

"So, _what happened_?"

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara just laid there for a few moments, panting with exertion before... ending her henshing.

Now? Her hand didn't have the obsidian thing over it. Instead it looked like... bandages. A cast of sorts. Wrapped around her hand, holding it in place. Entirely mundane, medical. Good.

Hinoiri, on the other hand, looked exhausted. She had broken out into a bit of a pain sweat, was lightly panting, the tear stains still on her eyes. Blood was off her, at least. And with Double Trouble helping with the clean up, it was likely getting away everywhere else.

"Fucking... Riventon, led me into a trap," she muttered. "Asked me to c-come along. 'This is how Obsidian does business' or whatever. While I was w-working on the job, this j-jerk... Hematite. He a-attacked me when... when I was working. T-threw this rose t-through my hand. I-I didn't get a barrier u-up in time and it just... through it. S-straight through. I-I blew up e-everything around me a-and ran. I don't... k-know how much of O-Obsidian was in on it... d-don't care, either. G-going to... r-recover... f-for a bit. P-pull on some of my... o-other c-c-contacts..." she muttered, still clutching her hand. It apparently still hurt quite a bit, despite her magic.

"A-apparently t-this Hematite was N-Naru's boyfriend o-or something and t-took it personally..." Well, Double Trouble knew exactly what thing involving Naru Hinoiri meant...

Double Trouble has posed:
With just one word--Naru--everything made sense to Double Trouble. They rinsed out the rag and wrung it out over the sink and then turned around and leaned back against the counter, looking at Hinoiri.

They _want_ to say something about lessons and planning and knowing your targets _before_ kidnapping them. But they know Hinoiri isn't in a place to hear it. So, instead, they say, "So you kidnapped somebody who's friends with Sailor Moon _and_ people at Obsidian?" Then they click their tongue and shake their head. "Oh, _darling_. It's a good thing you met me."

They push off the counter and walk over to where Hinoiri is laid out on the floor and crouch down, patting them on the shoulder. "Hopefully everybody's collected their pound of flesh from you now, though." Of course they reach for Shakespeare in a moment like this.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara just sat there, still clutching her hand and looking up at her. "I know, right? Stupid... idiots. She's not even..." Slow, deep breath. "She wasn't worth it. If anything, I was going to fix her. If they hadn't all interfered and made everything worse, this would have been over already and they'd all see I was right from the start." Oh, she was many things. Right was not amongst them. She lightly snorted at the 'good thing' part. "Really? Honestly, I figured this would be the ideal time for you to betray me. If Obsidian has turned on me, it seems the best time to take me down. I'm already down a hand." She held no false ideals about 'friendship' and the like. She knew, to DT, her value only extended as far as they could get joy out of it.

"I'm so sick and tired of these stupid creatures. Two legs and stupid hands and the magic is all wrong and ugh. If I'd had access to my full power this never would have happened. I hate them. I hate them so much. The sooner I achieve what I deserve, what I earned... the sooner I can say goodbye to this stupid world and just go back and never think twice about it."

Slow, deep breath. She leaned back and stared up at them. "... I'm so grateful you're not actually human. I think I'd want to kill you if you were. You're one of the few bucking things in this world I at least don't want to incinerate to ash." Awwww. Praise.

Double Trouble has posed:
Double Trouble knew that Hinoiri was not right. They knew Naru was not in the least bit magical. They knew that the only reason Naru needed _fixing_ is that Hinoiri had kindapped her and put her in a bad situation in the first place. Sure, maybe their familiar putting dark energy into Naru when it was sucking energy out for them to maintain their Naru-form...contributed. But they never would have even done that if it weren't for Naru being kidnapped. So it really all came back to the impulsive, delusional unicorn.

But they couldn't _say_ any of that. It's not like Hinoiri was ready to hear it.

Instead, they say, "Darling, you really need to work on your anger issues. They're going to get you in so much trouble if you don't reign them in." They give her a pat on the shoulder, and then rise up and walk back over to plop down on the couch. They were watching shows, after all.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara gave a low, slow, hissing sound before getting to her feet. The blood was taken care of so... well... that helped. She didn't have to.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) she didn't really HAVE any memories to compare this with. She'd gotten hurt, sure, but never anything like this. She'd never had anyone to pick up the mess, either. She wasn't sure what the proper procedure in this case was.

All she knew was she wanted to just lay down and... rest. Recoup. Recover. In this case, it meant walking over and... sitting down next to Double Trouble.

"... Thanks, though. For helping. And uhhh... picking up after it. I... owe you one," she said softly. Not something she was used to saying. Not commenting on the anger part... and for now? Just holding her hand and watching things. Because... sometimes it was relaxing to just... be.

And making a mental note that, when everything happened... Double Trouble hadn't tried to betray her and, more importantly, had gotten the rose out. It was nice to have somebody competent around.
