Date of Scene: 25 October 2023
Location: Sports Pavilion
Synopsis: Chrono meets with Runealy, or as she is know... SAILOR EUROPE! He directs her to some people who he is CERTAIN can help her get along in this new time... along with taking care of her cat.
Cast of Characters: Chrono Harlaown, Runealy Waldia

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown wasn't a hard person to find. He was actually relaxing on the stands in the sports area, resting on one of the long benches and staring up at the sky. He'd heard someone was looking for him, but was... admittedly trying to dodge her.

Because he was worried it was another confession. So uhhh... he wasn't trying to be too noticeable. Unfortunate (or fortunately) for him, he was kind of recognizable. The small guy, named Chrono, who talked wayyyy too seriously? Yeah, he was in the sports area right now. Seemed to be taking a nap on the bleachers.

Runealy Waldia has posed:
Rune used more charitable terms when describing Chrono to people around school; she had no name to go by, but referring to his blue hair and his speech as 'polite' or 'resolute' was enough to eventually get her pointed in the right direction.

Thus, the alien princess eventually walks toward the raised benches and approaches him... then stops when she realizes he's not moving very much.

She leans in to get just a tad closer, looking for breathing. Once satisfied that Chrono is alive, Rune stays several steps away and waits. She wants to talk to him. He is - or seems to be - asleep.

So, she says nothing and makes no particular noises. She just keeps her eyes on Chrono, watching in silence.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown was... well... okay, he was pretending to be asleep. Mentally using his device, intending to... to wait for the girl to go away. Pretend to be asleep. Surely she'd... nope.

Just... gonna stand there.

Oh no. He knew what this was. Confession. Suddenly the lockers didn't seem so bad. He gulped and, slowly, his eyes opened. He glanced towards her, his hands moving behind his head and crossing them. "Heyyyy... you. Can I... uhhhh... help...? You? I mean?" he asked, giving a small, nervous smile in her direction. Please don't confess, pleeeeease don't confess. Don't confess don't confess don't confessssss!

How to subtly let her know he was off the menu? GAHHHHH!

Runealy Waldia has posed:
Rune is patient. It might look weird to just stand there saying nothing, keeping eyes on Chrono, but she does that much and is able to 'force the issue' that way.

So when he looks to her, Rune takes that as an indication to walk closer for this discussion. Her tone is calm and polite, but serious. "I believe you already have. You offered an alternative, when others demanded I stand by and allow them to pummel a kitten into submission - 'this is best for everyone', of course. So, I came to thank you and seek advice."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown blinked and well... When she said THAT! His eyes went wide. "Wait, what?" He sat up and looked at her, before standing at his full height. Unimpressive though it was. His eyes narrowed slightly... then he remembered. AH! Right. The girl who'd helped him against Riventon. "I see," he said. "I'm sorry I don't think I actually caught your name last time, the arrival of a jewel seed had also been... unexpected. But..."

He then held out his right hand, a small card in it. From the card a holographic image appeared. His ID. "Time space administrative bureau enforcer, Chrono Harlaown, at your service. Tell me, how can I help you todat, miss?" he asked with a small smile.

Well, judging by the holographic ID... he was legit.

Runealy Waldia has posed:
Rune starts to reach out to take what she thinks is an offered hand. Then it turns out to be something far more horrifying: An ID card! She takes a step backward, keeping her distance from it. "What manner of television is this...? How is its wax not spilling every which way? Regardless... I did not introduce myself during the battle."

She calms down, deciding the introduction is more important than figuring out what bizarre invention Chrono just showed off. Her voice is now very warmly polite as she offers a mix of truth and lies: "Runealy, Princess of Europe. A pleasure to meet you, Enforcer Harlaown."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown blinked a few times and stared at her. "Princess... of Europe. Oh. OH! I get it!" he said, a fist going to rest on his palm. "You're like... Sailor Europe, then? I suppose that makes sense. Kind of. Your... outfit is a bit different from the other sailor scouts that I've seen, though." Well, he'd only seen a few of them. He, for obvious reasons, assumed that it was a magical girl name. Not that she was actually a princess of Europe.

"As for... my device? It's not a television. It's a hologram. Not sure what... wax has to do with anything. But, if not obvious, I'm not from this planet. I'm an alien, from outer space," he offered. "... Are... uhhhh. Are you okay?" He... couldn't help but feel he was missing something here.

Runealy Waldia has posed:
Rune, in turn, stares and blinks... but quickly recovers from her surprise and decides this is a fantastic cover story to take for her own use: "Indeed! Sailor Europe. My attire is how Sailor Senshi are clad in Europe, it is a regional difference. Forgive my surprise earlier, we do not have televisions... so your one that sculpts light is especially novel to me. That aside,"

She makes a single, deep but slow nod to Chrono, "I had thought to seek your advice. You were vital in rescuing the kitten earlier, and I seek the knowledge you especially have of it."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown blinked a few times. "Really? Oh, I'll need to talk with Sailor Pluto about you later, then. I figured it was all planets with you girls. And moons. I wonder if that's why I haven't met a Sailor Earth yet," he said with a shrug.

"... Wait, in... europe? Europe... has... televisions... europe is a... what?" he asked. "..." And then he paused and had his device run a check. Okay. Yes. Europe was multiple countries. Sailor Europe was weird.

"As for my advice, well... it was a lost logia. In this case, the jewel seeds. They granted the kitten's wish, in this case to be large. However, before long the power of the jewel seed would have gone wild and likely killed the kitten, or worse. So it had to be removed. There are other jewel seeds, which is the reason I arrived on this planet. Is... that everything you wished for advice on?" he asked, looking her up and down. "...Wait... about what happened to the kitten, or advice ABOUT the kitten?" Oh dear...

Runealy Waldia has posed:
An anxious chill slams through Rune as her strategy backfires - Chrono plans to fact-check her, and she takes a step back in surprise. She decides not to say anything, deciding not to get herself in further trouble with this plan.

Thankfully, he changes the topic... even if this shocks her for different reasons. "It would have been slain?! How dreadful...!" For all her lies earlier, this part is spoken with actual shocked dismay. She forces herself to calm down, taking a breath. "Yet your other information is very valuable. However, I sought advice about it. I have been able to care for it well enough so far, yet I would know its name... and I believe you spoke it, during the battle?"

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown gave a small nod. "Lost logia are dangerous things that shouldn't be tampered with. Many of them have the power to destroy entire worlds or even dimensions. The jewel seeds are incredibly dangerous and need to be stored and locked away. While there are many who believe they can harness the power... it only ever ends in regret and destruction. A kitten wouldn't last long at all."

However, the information about it... "Oh... OH! No! Lotte Liese? No. That wasn't... its name. That was just the name of a... cat... I... knew... once. Long ago. It.... it wasn't its actual name..." he said with a small, nervous chuckle. "I'm not particularly... fond of cats, to be entirely honest."

Runealy Waldia has posed:
"Entire worlds?!" Rune shudders in place, eyes wide. "Enforcer Harlaown... you said you are from another world. I... can only hope you are not here because a Lost Logia television destroyed your world? Please tell me this is not so!" Her remarks are punctuated with breathy gasps as she considers this. For the moment, Rune is not interested in the rescued cat; her mind plays visions of a strange invention ruining a planet she can only barely imagine, having no idea where Chrono is truly from.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown blinked and shook his head. "Uhhhh. No. My world is safe. The TSAB works to stop things like that from occuring. Enforcers are special trained elite units tasked with locating and containing things like that, to keep both worlds and dimensions safe."

"... But they are dangerous and have... killed a lot of people. That's why I work tirelessly to keep the time and space safe from them. I appreciate the concern, but please, don't worry about me. I'll have the jewel seeds dealt with... eventually."

Runealy Waldia has posed:
Rune sags with visible relief, "Thank goodness... By the Barrier, I could not imagine bearing such a loss! Enforcer Harlaown, thank you for sharing this with me. Now I know to be especially wary of Jewel Seed televisions and Lost Logia televisions alike. And, equally importantly,"

She regains composure, smiling to Chrono: "Now I know to assist the Bureau and its Enforcers. You protect worlds and kittens alike, even if you claim to not be fond of the latter. In those matters, Europe will stand beside you!"

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown just felt more bewildered. "I... what? No? They're not... televisions. Do... do you... not... know... what a television is?" he asked her. Nervously scratching his chin. He... he had to be misunderstanding, right? He thought his japanese was really good, now he wasn't entirely sure.

"I do, however, appreciate that. There isn't much of a TSAB presence here, however. Due to the veil. You're from this world, correct? Unfortunately, my people are, for the most part, cut off from this world. So there's not much of a presence of the TSAB aside from myself, one other enforcer and a belkan ally. But if you do encounter any of the jewel seeds, please, let me know. And be careful. If you try to touch them, they could overload and kill you. They need to be put into a suppressed mode before being locked away."

"... So, you're from Europe, right? Which country?" OOF!

Runealy Waldia has posed:
"I understand; Jewel Seeds must be handled with the utmost caution!" Rune's gaze is intense - she isn't angry, but she is taking the topic very seriously. "I know what televisions are, in any event. They come in many varieties. Some sell products, without any of the advice or assurances a proper merchant could provide. Others display stage plays upon a glass window, burning wax or oil to provide light that we might see it properly. Others still convey your voice a great distance. And others still..."

She thrusts a palm forward, tone turning haughty and imperious: "And others threaten entire worlds! So regardless of whether they threaten Japan or Europe or your homeworld, I would assist you!" In other words, Rune is dodging the 'which country?' question entirely by being dramatic.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown stared at her. Just... stared. Blink. Blink blink. Bliiiiink. Blink. Then, slowly, the smile got a little gentle.

"Since arriving on this planet I have met a magical girl who was once immortal and unaging, I have met magical girls who pilot planets around, I am from another world and dimension, who got caught in this dimensions... well. We call it a black hole of magic, so to speak."

"I've seen people had their linker cores shot out, another girl who was certain their linker core was their soul, met another girl who could stop time in order to BAKE," yes, he was STILL salty about that one.

"In summarization, I have seen a lot of different things. And of those things, you listed, most of them were not televisions. So please, understand. I'm from another world. I understand that things... don't work like where you might expect them to. But I will not tell anyone. But, I want you to be honest with me."

Deep breath and... "Are you from this world's past?"

... What? She said 'princess of europe', had no idea what a television was, seemed VERY strange... being from the past would be one of the LEAST weird things he'd been through.

Runealy Waldia has posed:
When given a way out of her lie, Rune enthusiastically clings to it and then doubles down on the falsehoods. "You have the right of it!" She even offers details that she thinks will support her story. "Guan Yu even recognized me in his raid upon one of Tokyo's merchant districts, comparing me to Liu Bei." She demures immediately afterward, adding in a softer tone and slightly lowered head: "I do not believe myself equal to that praise, admittedly. Regardless, that is why I am not familiar with televisions."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown gave a small nod. "I see. That makes sense. So... Europe is a... kind of a continent, not a country. It doesn't have a princess. I'm... literally from another world and even I know that. As for... those other people? I wouldn't know. I never get this world's references anyway."

"... As for the rest of that... My apologies. But being in a new time... it's not easy. I imagine it must be very difficult for you. But so long as you try your hardest, none have any right to speak ill of you. And if you ever need some help, I'll do what I can for you. Have... you used a cell phone before?"

Runealy Waldia has posed:
In other words, Rune's lie has not quite worked out. She's not sure what to do about that, but it seems enough of it worked that Chrono is offering assistance.

Assistance that horrifies her; her head jolts upright, eyes wide as she stares at him. "Inconceivable! I would never endanger others with a telephone!" Another sharp breath, as she's shocked by the idea of using a cell phone. "I have seen, firsthand, the risks they pose; they may even turn people into currency. I..." Her throat tightens, voice stalling for a few seconds, "...I could not bring that fate upon someone. Yours is the second alliance I have made. In my first, I pledged to assist Sailor Moon in protecting Tokyo from such dangers."

That's not exactly what Sailor Moon agreed to - she was unclear about the promise to fight against 'television telephones', but this is how Rune recalls the offer to assist her fellow magical girl.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown just... just stared at her. Mouth open. He tried to process what she said... then, finally, he face palmed. Oh, wow. He finally just... started sending Setsuna some texts through his device.

"... That was magic. Cell phones don't do that. Televisions don't do that. Dark magic does that. I... oh you poor thing."

"Televisions are a device on this world used to display images and sound. They're not inherently dangerous. Cell phones are communicating devices, used to allow two people to talk at a long distance, using a network which..." He paused. Then sighed again. "Oh, technology is not what I should be explaining to you. But no, cell phones are not dangerous, I assure you. They're merely communication devices. Except when people use magic to make them... more."

"... When I fought besides you, you were using magical devices, correct? To fight with?"

Runealy Waldia has posed:
Rune tenses up as her tech ignorance astonishes Chrono, and again as he begins texting. "Take all due caution, I would not see you hurt by a telephone...!" His attempts to explain networks go absolutely nowhere; she stares with a blank-eyed lack of understanding.

He compares her fighting to 'devices', and Rune looks confused by this as well. "My staff, yes. I can assure you it is not a telephone of any manner, nor does it use networks."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown nodded. "Oh, don't worry. I actually don't use a phone." He held up the card. "I use a magical device. It can simulate a phone and uses magic to function. But phones aren't a threat. Now... as for your staff... it seemed familiar, to be honest. I thought it was a... rudimentary version of the devices we use, from the TSAB. But... it definitely isn't if you're this bewildered by things like television. Your magic is... Interesting. So, Sailor... Europe... was it?" he asked.

Chrono text Setsuna Meiou: Hey, I think I'm meeting Sailor Europe. Friend of yours?

Setsuna text Chrono: ...Europe, or EuroPA? It's a rather crucial distinction, as the second MIGHT be a senshi (though one I don't offhand remember), while the first most definitely WOULDN'T.

Chrono text Setsuna: The former. Yeah... I think I've figured it out. Do you know at what time that all of europe could have been considered to have a princess?

Runealy Waldia has posed:
"You noticed the similarities, as well? That has puzzled me... I thought it strange that others fight with my--" Rune's throat tightens again, voice lowering as she searches for the right words, and decides to just stick with something similar to how she started it: "...what seems much like my own style. Yet I do not know of your Devices, nor the Bureau you are an Enforcer of. All I can say, despite my lack of understanding,"

A single, slow nod to Chrono: "We seek the same, to protect worlds!"

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown gave a small nod. "I see. Well... you're obviously hiding something... but it's not my job or duty to find out what. You're welcome to your secrets, Runealy-san. But... know if you do need help, I'm here. And you could do much worse than a TSAB enforcer. I'm very good at what I do," he said. Then... he wondered if that made him sound conceited.

"So long as you're not an enemy of this world or the dimensions at large, I have no reason to view you as anything but a friend. Should you ever desire help, however, you know where to find me. And if you ever wish to learn about cellphones, I'd be... happy to get you into contact with someone from this world and time who could explain them better than I." ... What? Just cause he could emulate one didn't mean he understood which ones were bad and which were good.

Setsuna's text to Chrono: Princess of all of Europe? Uhm, basically never. Oh, I imagine some of the Hapsburgs might have made the CLAIM, but they were never really able to back it up...and none of them would really have claimed to be the Princess of EUROPE...the continent has always been too fractured politically for that kind of thing.

Chrono's text to Setsuna: .. Huh. Thanks. I'll... talk with you later. It might be nothing. Might be something. Possibly just a magical girl who's too nervous.

Runealy Waldia has posed:
Rune's eyes narrow when Chrono, rightly, calls her out on hiding things. However, his offer of help quickly salvages this and cuts her off before she can seriously think to mount a defense.

Instead, she seizes on his offer. "I... yes. I am surrounded by telephones of all manner, and if you say they have legitimate uses...? ...Then I must learn more; imagine the consequences if I mistake a benign telephone for a dangerous one, and act falsely! If you are seriously offering to help me, or direct me to those who can, then please,"

A nod, "I would have that, and you would have my gratitude."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown nodded and then, with the most gentle and not at all mischievious of intentions... "Meet with the nurse of RHA. Setsuna Meiou. Inform her that you are Sailor Europe and she should be able to get you into contact with anyone and everyone who can help you. Alternatively, there is also Naru Osaka. They both have a lot of connections with the right people who can certainly help you get acclimated to this world."

He didn't know who she was, or what she was doing... but oh, he was absolutely *certain* those two would be able to get her on the right track, as it were.

"They'd also likely be able to help you with care and proper treatment of a kitten. Especially Osaka-san."

Runealy Waldia has posed:
"With this time," Rune attempts to correct Chrono, deciding to stick with the time traveler story. "Regardless... thank you! I shall find them and seek their aid. Nurse Setsuna Meiou, and Naru Osaka..." She repeats their names in a soft tone, trying to memorize them.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown nodded. "And tell them that. Sailor Europe, traveled from the past. You'll be able to get you sorted in no time. Be careful who you tell that to, though. There are... some bad people out there. But those two should be more than able to help you, Runealy-san." He said it with such a serious, kind look. Totally not trolling her just a little bit. But hey, what could go wrong?

"Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Runealy Waldia has posed:
"I... am unfortunately very aware of that. It pains me that my first battle, and many others upon it, have been against actual people... 'bad' or not, rather than demons. That is not what I have trained for. Regardless..."

A few soft headshakes follow, hair swishing lightly. "You have already rendered a tremendous service, Enforcer Harlaown. Now I have some means to learn more of Tokyo and its telephones, and more properly care for the kitten we rescued. You may not be fond of it, but I am and I appreciate that you were able to rescue it with far more kindness than our foes intended."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown blinked and... for a moment... he felt an almost connection. "Yeah. There's... yeah. Things are a lot more... difficult on this world than they were back home. My training may have involved more people as well as demons, but... I'm still more used to dealing with devices of apocalyptic nature than the strange, less... destructive but still dangerous things this world has. It's... a journey. You'll figure it out, I'm sure. And you're not alone. There's a lot of support here. Those I mentioned, and myself as well."

He uhhhh... wasn't going to mention that actually Nanoha had done most the work on that one. He really... just... didn't do much. DELEGATION! A valuable tool in the hat of any TSAB agent's hat. "And I'm happy you're able to give the cat a proper home."

Runealy Waldia has posed:
"A proper home, you say... I do not know about that. Yet, I shall try my best to provide it. Perhaps with the advice from your associates, I may yet succeed."

"Regardless, you have my thanks. I can only assure you this will not be a one-sided alliance; you shall gain some benefit as well, Enforcer Harlaown. For now, however?"

A very faint smile forms on Rune's face. "I must tend to other matters. Be well, sir." She will wait for any final responses from Chrono, then turn to walk away from the sports area if nothing demanding an urgent answer comes up.
