Stealing the Ideas

Synopsis:	Chiyo's introducing her first new product to Nounamu Sweets, and Hime is the first to sample it.

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
There was a sweet shop popular among RHA students in the ward. It was an older building, but had been kept in good condition and updated with decorations that were more modern. It had a nice, cozy feel to it.

Chiyo was outside crouched down in front of the little billboard sign in front updating the wording with some chalk-markers meant for such things. She's out of her school uniform and in the pants outfit of her work with the little white and pink striped apron over it all. The curly purple hair piled up on her head in a half-bun was hard to miss for any who might know her.

The sign she's currently writing out reads: 'Flavor Testing for New Product Today!'

Hime Shirayuki has posed:
The blue-haired girl had been slowly settling into school life, and it had been DIFFICULT for her. She'd grown up with private tutors and servants at her beck and call, so all of this was a lot for her. When she'd overheard that there was a Sweet Shop near the school, she made a decision on something she was going to do to try and cheer herself up.

Out of her uniform, the girl is dressed in a very cute pale blue dress with white ribbons, and perfectly chosen, matching shoes. Her low heels clicked as she made her way up the avenue, pausing behind Chiyo as she worked on the sign. It takes her a moment to build up the courage, but eventually she pipes up with a:

"You have very fun handwriting!"

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Hearing the voice from behind, Chiyo stands up and re-caps the chalk marker she'd been using to turn and face Hime directly. "Thank you! Welcome to Nounamu Sweets." The response comes in a rather quiet, soft spoken voice even as she flashes a smile in response quite clearly meaning it.

"I like your dress, it's very pretty. Were you about to go inside?" A slight gesture is made toward the door in where it was likely far warmer than outside in the Autumn air. "I'm working on a new product and could use some feed back on the flavors I'm considering, if you're interested at all."

Hime Shirayuki has posed:
The girl beams at the compliment, any nervousness she had vanishing a bit. She does a small twirl to show it off, and then nods. "Mmmmhm. I heard about it at the school and it sounded like exactly the sort of thing I need to relax. It's...it's been a long week," she huffs.

Hime nods quickly at the offer. "That sounds good! I am very interested!" Quickly, she ushers herself on inside.

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Chiyo Sakai lightly claps her hands together when the girl agrees. "Perfect, thank you! It's my first product I'm making myself so I'm a bit nervous," she admits quietly. Maybe she shouldn't mention possible weakness or that it's her first thing? She could make so many mochi treats but this was different.

Following in after Hime she allows her a moment to get a look around. It's a small cafe seating area inside and there's a table along one wall offering free water and tea for those who were here to enjoy their sweets while sitting down. The glassed off counter showcased numerous things: Daifuku cakes in ornate floral designs. Dango on sticks. Fruit on sticks encased in crunchy shiny sugar. Seasonal items like chestnut filled mochi. And behind the counter was an older man who was deftly working the soft mochi into those floral shapes who looks up and nods simply toward Chiyo.

Turning back toward Hime, she clasps her hands in front of her apron daintily. "I'm Chiyo Sakai, and this is my Ojiisan's shop. Would you care for some hot tea while you sample? They're small, so not very filling, but if you want to try some of the other items I can offer a student discount too."

Hime Shirayuki has posed:
The prettily dressed girl turns slowly to take the place in, clapping gently as she grins to herself. She clearly loves it! Once she has a good idea of the layout, the girl turns bgack towards Chiyo and offers a dainty, graceful bow.

"I'm Hime Shirayuki. It's very nice to meet you, Chiyo-san. I would love some tea!"

She hastily moves over to the counter to acquire a cup of tea, before she cradles it gently and moves to follow the other girl. "That sounds good!"

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
"It's great to meet you, Shrayuki-chan," Chiyo responds with a dip of her head bowing back toward her. Once she goes to get herself some tea though, she moves over to the back of the shelves to pull out a tray with some small sample cups on it. They're each filled with tiny rock candy bits that have been broken into smaller peices so that they're easy to eat quickly. It was a taste test after all, and not the full candy that she was working on.

The tray is brought over to a table where Chiyo gestures for Hime to take a seat. "Please, get comfortable! There's only three flavors I'm considering but we typically use whole ingredients here, and these are flavoring oils instead. While they're high-quality, I want to make sure they're still something people would be interested in." She gestures to each in turn. "There's Pineapple, toasted marshmallow, and finally the Western 'buttermint' which is a creamy mint flavor."

Hime Shirayuki has posed:
Hime moves over to slide into a seat, setting her cup of tea down, as well. She watches the tray approach with wide eyes and a big, eager grin. She claps again, when it gets set down in front of her. She lets out a small 'ooooooh' as she leans in close to get a good look at the candy.

"Those all sound good! I've never had 'buttermint' before. Hmmmmm...." She trails off and starts with the Pineapple, tasting the candy, sipping her tea, and then tasting the candy again. She lets out a little pleased sound. "This one is great!"
