Hinote Kagari had taken his egg home after his talk with Tadase Hotori. He didn't know how to care for it, so he made the executive decision to turn an older t-shirt into a nest and place it carefully on his dresser in front of the window, to give it sun. So it sat for a few days, Hinote checking it, every so often. He was nervous, what if it didn't hatch? Did that mean he did something wrong? Was something wrong with him?
Thoughts turned to that.. that energy draining zone and how not even the magical folks there could do anything about it. He learned some things. But not enough, He had to go back... investigate, he thought heavily.
Then a voice behind him...!
"It was a dark and stormy night..."
Hinote corrected the strange, gruff voice. "It..is is the middle of the day and sun is out...w..who is.." he was cut off.
"I SAID it was a dark and stormy night, kid, sheesh." said the egg, now floating in the air in front of him as Hinote turned around. The egg cracked at the center, before a bright light materialized as the egg parted open, revealing a tiny, tiny boy dressed in a bright yellow fedora, trenchcoat and had his hands in his pockets. "Don't you know anything about dramatic tension. ANYWAYS, from the top..."
"IT WAS a dark and stormy night. I entered the office."continued the tiny fairy boy.
"Bedroom." says Hinote.
"I ENTERED the office and looked at the young gumshoe before me, and I asked him a question."
The tiny fairy pulled a lollipop from his pocket and gestured it at Hinote as he asked. "Why aren't you out there investigating, kid?" before shoving the lollipop into his own mouth.
Hinote Kagari blinked a little. "Because, I mean. I'm just a guy..." then he shook his head a moment. "Wait, who even.. are you? Are you...." what did Tadase call it again. "Chara?"
"I'm Tracy, kid. I'm your Guardian Chara. I represent your desire to investigate this strange world! Anyways. Sam Spade was just a guy and he found The Maltese Falcon! Why can't you go out and investigate the trouble!?"
Hinote Kagari gave Tracy a look. "I don't think you watched that movie. ANYWAYS-- look. Not even the magical folks there knew what to do.." he says.
Tracy scoffed."Guess what kid, you're magical now. Come on. Let's go!" he said, floating towards the door. Hinote blinked and followed along. But not before grabbing his phone and starting to text Tadase.
