Somewhere in Tokyo, in a swank apartment on one of the highest levels of a fancy apartment building, a girl sits in a dark room lit only by the baleful light of several computer monitors.
The pale light casts the room into monochrome relief. The girl sits in an office chair in front of a desk upon which sits several monitors. Around her can be made out the vague shapes of computer and synthesizing equipment, a well as various instruments. Keyboards, a couple different guitars. There’s even a violin on a stand.
The girl herself barely stands out from the shadows of the room. She’s dressed all in black, her face oddly shadowed. There are highlights though. Her dark, shoulder-length hair has green stripes dyed into it, which almost seem to flicker in the light from the computer screen. And her eyes are a bright, startling green which almost looks neon. It almost seems like they glow with their own light, pushing back against the light from the screen and making her features all the more indistinct as a result.
She’s posting a video to her YouTube page. A new song, it seems like. The video consists of a split screen showing the girl playing all the instruments heard in the song, one of those which is meant to show how skilled the musician is. In this case, that’s drums, bass, guitar, and synth/keyboards of various sorts. The song is a fairly heavy electronic piece with metal elements.
In the description, she types out some information. “New EP coming soon!!!! Visit my Soundcloud page!!! Available for purchase on iTunes!!! Catch me signing physical copies of the single at Four Clover Mall soon!! Come see me play at various venues around Tokyo, all this year!!!!!!”
She considers what she’s written for a few moments, then hits the Upload button. It’ll be the first video on her page. She smiles, a white slash against the shadows of her face. She doesn’t need the suits to become famous. She’ll show her parents how it’s done. This is 2023, dammit.
It’s time to raise some hell. It’s time for Mizudori Teion to take the stage.
