Once upon a time, in 1956, a young boy was attacked in an alley by aterrifying doll empowered by dark energy and as a result was cursed with itsvampiric powers. The curse made him crave blood and filled his mind with theimpulse to hurt others, and he gained the ability to transform into a larger,more ferocious form capable of creating blades of blood.After trying and failing to fit in at school and home, he ran away before hecould hurt someone permanently, hoping his mother would find happiness withouthim.Some sixty years later, Taro has only aged six years, and has drifted betweenshady jobs and attacking humans to stay fed. There's no time to fight for goodor evil when you're perpetually hungry. His two joys in life are the magic doll he nurtures to strengthen his powers,and his ambition of turning into the ultimate vampire to scare humans silly.His blood blades, the objects he uses to feed from humans, help with that fearfactor. As his strength grows from fear, he desperately wants to be takenseriously by all around him.Sure would be bad if he ran into someone who isn't scared of him, huh?

A Tale of a Cursed Painting, The Shining Deep	January 16th, 2024	While investigating a painting, Taro, Veronica, Usagi, Amy and Anna get stuck inside it, exploring the world it contains and then finding their way out again.
New In Town, and Other Things	January 8th, 2024	Newcomer Taro Yamada tries feeding the cats, only to end up accidentally going mano a womano over the hand who holds the treats with Usagi Tsukino and Amanda Faust. Despite Taro's lack of filter, he and Usagi manage to hit it off, while his unstoppable bluntness and Amanda's immovable bafflement manages to bamboozle them both. But he has, very tenatively, made his first friends in Tokyo.
