You are lying on the pavement.
There is a burning wreck of a car half-inside of a building.
The rain is falling on you from the night sky, and you can't move. You can't even turn your head, or breathe.
It's all just pain. You can feel blood running from your face and pooling on the street under your head. It's the only warmth on this cold, rainy night.
There is a break in the rain, and you realize it's because there's someone hunched over you.
She starts chest compressions.
She is so small, so weak, but she is doing everything she can to revive you and keep you alive.
She just doesn't have the necessary weight.
You think you're being rained on again, but it's just the girl's tears.
Long black hair, so long, drapes around your faces like a curtain, giving privacy in the midst of this tragedy.
You can hear sirens in the distance, even as your vision fades and the pain along with it.
Then you hear her voice as she whispers harshly and pleads desperately for you to do one thing for her. Just one.
"Awaken the Princess."
Then you wake up in the Silvia-Shields dorm.
The bakeneko is awake and staring at you like she just saw a ghost.
