Tadase Hotori     Tadase Hotori hated how right Kiseki was. He hated the smug grin on the little chara's face. He wished he'd gotten to be powered by a planet or a cool bit of alien magitech or a strange fairy, because none of those would have the irritating insight into who he was that Kiseki did. "Twenty two times, by the way." The little fairy notes. "That's how many times you practiced it in the mirror..." he adds.

"Shut up." Tadase says, his face a furious red. A little bit louder than he meant to, causing a student nearby to look confused, as if they were the one told to shut up. Tadase makes a 'it's fine, it's fine' gesture at them and sighs. "Look, I'm going to do this." Tadase says. "See? She's coming out of class now, and she's alone. Probably on her way to cram school."

"Well, if you're not gonna take my help you better hurry because it looks like she's walking pretty fast." Kiseki says. "Are you ''sure'' you don't want my help?" the fairy asks.

"I am so very sure, Kiseki." Tadase says, annoyance in his voice. "I don't need you telling her she is lucky to get an invitation from the King of the Universe."

"Suit yourself, but I think you have a tendency to undersell yourself." Kiseki says, floating beside him.

Tadase takes a breath as heincreases his pace, getting closer to the short haired bluenette. In fact, he only spends the first two times pushing himself to call out - the third time he actually does call out "Mizuno-san? Do you have a moment?"
Ami Mizuno Tutoring Zoisite was almost done. There was Jadeite to check up with. Plus she had to check the data she'd collected from the Eclipse Towers. She had to review her own assignments to make sure there wasn't anything she missed before the last finals. Probably not but it never hurt to make sure.

All of this and more is what Ami is focusing on as she starts down the hall with her attention shifted down to look at the screen of her phone and the rather full, busy calendar pulled up there. At the very least she'd taken to heart what she was told by the others the prior night and she actually didn't study late in favor of sleeping. A bit more rested, a bit more awake, and able to move a with the usual speed to her steps she's almost to the corner of the hall when she hears Tadase call out for her.

With a hint of surprise Ami lifts her head, blinking rapidly to focus her eyes back to the here and now as opposed to the screen of her phone. It only takes a moment for her to peice together who had called out to her as she turns and spots the familiar face of Tadase.

A smile and curious tilt of her head is offered. "Yes, Hotori-san? How can I help you?"
Tadase Hotori     "Um, actually. I wanted to ask you something. A favor!" He says. Then he shakes his head. "No, sorry, it's not a favor its..." Kiseki is now floating over his shoulder and facepalming. "Sorry, sorry. Um. That's not right. Can I start over?" He asks, puting his hand behind his head, rubbing his neck.

"Sorry this is a lot more difficult than I was expecting." He admits. Kiseki whistles. They can both hear it.

Another deep breath. "What I meant to say was... I've really enjoyed running into you. You're smart, and you're kind, and you're smart - I said that already. But it's probably worth saying twice." he says, with a smile. "But um. Because of that I was thinking and..."

"willyoubemydatetoprincessprom?!" he says, only able to say the whole thing as a very quick run on sentence.

Kiseki claps. It's hard to tell if it's sarcastic or honest clapping.
Ami Mizuno When it becomes apparent that it's not going to be a quick question, Ami turns fully toward Tadase. A few books are tucked in the crook of one arm, hugged against her chest, while her free hand holds the phone she'd been looking over when he first snagged her attention. This she tucks ontop of the pile of books so that it's facing down giving him her full attention.

Which she is really glad for when he rushes out that last question. It was hard to decipher as it was. If she hadn't been paying full attention she wouldn't have heard anything about it.

"Ah... I'm sorry, Hotori-san, I only caught part of that I think. Did you say you needed help on the date of the Princess Prom?" Ami considers this a moment trying to run over all the possible scenarios of that. "Is it with the sound systems? If there's issues with running the computers for it, I think I could probably get it to work."
Tadase Hotori     "No, no... it wasn't... about the... you know what, nev-" he starts to say, and then Tadase suddenly stops mid-turning away, and turns back to Ami. Kiseki is nowhere to be seen, suddenly.

"I'm sorry, Mizuno-san. I wanted to say it on my own, because I thought you deserved something that was fully me. But whenever I try to talk to you about it, I get so nervous." he says. "So... I guess Kiseki is going to help and... maybe that is for my own good. I hope you don't consider it... I don't know, cheating or something?" he says, shrugging.

Another deep breath. "It didn't take me much time since we started talking to figure out how special you are." he says, resting a hand on his heart. "That you're special ''to me''. I'm always so happy to see you, so happy when you talk to me - when you give me time, even though you're really busy." he says.

"So... I wasn't asking you to help with the sound systems." he says, shaking his head. "I'm asking you if you'll go to Princess Prom with me. As my date."
Ami Mizuno "Ah-" The way he looks so distraught and starts to turn around it becomes obvious that Ami drastically misunderstood *something* there. Immediately she takes a half-step after him intending to call out, to apologize for whatever it was she had mistaken. Instead he turns around again earning a sudden stiffening from her so that she doesn't accidentally walk right into him.

That much closer though she finds herself looking right at him easily as he suddenly starts to apologize, and explain far more eloquently than he usually did. He did say he liked speaking with her before. It was something she just took in stride. Now that he was saying it again she was really *listening* with a slow reddening of her face.

His hand was over his heart why was his hand over his heart?!

Feeling her own practically thumping away in her chest rather unexpectedly she just stares, listenins, and forgets for a moment to breathe. The question comes again more clearly. It was unmistakable this time.

"Oh! Oh I see. I..." It's let out in a rush of breath as her books are clutched tighter to her chest. Did SHE like HIM though? He was cute. He was earnest. He didn't mind listening to her. He thought she was smart and enjoyed her time.

What was that little fluttery feeling in her chest?

"... Don't think you're cheating. You told me once you wished him up because you wanted help speaking and..." So it wasn't cheating. The question was still unanswered, and she dithers only a moment more before giving a quick rapid nod-nod-nod of her head.

"Y-yes. Yes, I think I'd like that, Tadase-kun."
Tadase Hotori     "R-really?" He asks, and that shock - her saying yes - seems to snap whatever connection he had with Kiseki. The little fairy returns to existing, but he's smiling and not snarky. "I mean, good! Yes! Good! I'm just." Shocked, happy, amazed, stunned, elated. A lot of words. He's almost vibrating with a mixture of energy and nerves and adrenaline. "I didn't think you would, I figured obviously somebody had asked, but I also had to ask because you might say yes ''and you did''." he says, speaking quickly now but at least understandably quickly.

"I... really did want to say it all myself. I guess I still need Kiseki for some things. For the ''really'' important things." he says, looking into her eyes. "You know now it feels like I'm talking too much and I'm just gonna shut up for a moment. But. Yeah. Yes. Yes Is good."
Ami Mizuno Ami Mizuno blinks rapidly breaking out of her own little haze of embarassment once he starts to stammer and talk too much again. It somehow makes it easier to recover from for the moment. Still a bit pink she reaches up to sweep her hair behind an ear quickly. "You *did* say it yourself though. I just didn't hear right the first time," she points out quietly trying not to draw too much attention to herself right now.

Part of what he said earns another little curious tip of her head, and a mild look of confusion. "Who would ask me? I mean, it's not really come up before in the past. I even attended the last dance alone. Well, with Mako-chan though, neither of us had dates."

A pause comes momentarily before she asks, "... What do we do now, then? I've got a dress I can use for the Princess Prom already. Should we... should we make plans? Later?"
Tadase Hotori     "I mumbled it quickly, yeah." He says, laughing a little bit. "But I guess if it counts for you that's all I really care about, anyways." he admits.

"I mean, who ''wouldn't'' ask you. Have you looked in the mirror? You're amazing, and smart, and cute, and... you know I just figured if I could see it surely the dudes in your grade could, too?" He asked, shrugging. "Maybe they were all intimidated too and didn't have a chara though." he says, thoughtfully.

"Oh, yeah, I should get a suit. And we should... make plans. Yeah. We can... text about it, right?" he says. "Once all of the energy is out of my system. Because I... probably should clear my head before we make any plans like that. I still feel like I'm gonna wake up."
Ami Mizuno "Oh stop," Ami mumbles as the compliments flow, and Tadase mentions how the other boys in her grade should be able to notice her too. Then again she was the one with her nose often in a book or lecturing them on things so perhaps that is precisely why they hadn't. Her head ducks down to try and hide behind the few books she carries a moment.

"Um, yes texts would work. That would be great. I should. I should probably go now." She had to think and she had to just clear her own head now.

Risking peeking just over her books at Tadase, blatantly using them to hide behind, she offers, "I guess if I'm going I have to go properly in theme though. I'll need to find a tiara. I should go do that. I mean. Shopping for it." Deep breath. Be brave, Ami!

Straightening she clears her throat. "Text me later? I'll text you later," she prattles out with a grin that was maybe just a little bit excited? Now that the proverbial bandaid had been pulled off at least it was a bit easier.
