Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara had... fled. She hadn't 'left'. She'd *run away*. Because... because it had been too much. Adora had taken her alicorn and left. And all those emotions were playing chaos with her emotions. The dark energy wasn't doing her any favors, either. She was... breaking.

So when Dianora got home from her time out, she'd find Hinoiri... on the love seat. Laying on her side. Crying. Judging by the water stains on the couch, she'd been crying for a while. It wasn't a full on bawling crying either. What was so disturbing about it was... she was silent.

Hinoiri was just laying on her side, hugging one of Dianora's plush unicorn to her chest. And the tears were going down the side of her face. She wasn't exactly a... heavy crier, to be honest. In fact, aside from the rose incident, it was hard to come up with many incidents where she HAD cried. She might be a rage crier, though. When she got emotional(which was often). Or thought of home. But this? This was new.

A book with a strange binding on it was resting on the little coffee table. Not opened, but Dianora would likely be able to recognize it. That and the necklace were the only things that Hinoiri still had from home... For her to have taken it out, well... If Dianora had ever touched it, it likely sizzled a bit in her hands. So she'd know it didn't play well with dark energy. So Hinoiri almost never touched the darn thing.
Double Trouble It had been some time. Realizing that they could simply go out and wreak havoc wearing Glimmer's face, and all it would do is reinforce the narrative they'd decided to sell Adora was so freeing. They were able to let out so much of their pent up rage. They kept so much bottled up inside, being Dianora so much.

But, of course, they couldn't show up on campus as Glimmer, so they ditched the bike and made their way back, switching faces several times before putting their necklace back on and arriving home as Dianora.

Unsure just what she'd find, Dianora entered the suite quietly, carefully opening and closing the door. They were expecting just about anything. Anything but ''this''.

"Onee-chan," Dianora says, quietly, dropping her stuff on the floor and walking over to the loveseat to climb up and sit down next to Hinoiri. She reaches out to set her hand on whichever part of Hinoiri is right there: hip, shoulder, whatever. Just a touchpoint. "You're better than them, you know."
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara glanced over to Dianora and just hugged the toy tighter. "I... I'm not... I..." she trailed off, closing her eyes. "Is this... n-normal?" she asked softly. "Why... why doesn't a-anyone come for me? I-I know... I know S-Sora is busy... I know she... she can't come. But... but she could s-send someone. I-I wouldn't come b-back. But... but why isn't she..."

"W-why does C-catra have s-so many people c-come for her? A-Adora, y-you, n-n-now an alicorn... s-she has all these... these p-people from home. A-and she doesn't e-even appreciate it! S-she doesn't even... c-care. S-she's just b-b-bitter because t-they keep g-g-giving her stuff b-but apparently it's n-not the right stuff and... why... why am I n-not... good enough? W-why doesn't... anyone ever c-come for me?" she asked gently.

"D-did I not do enough? D-did I not... work hard e-enough? S-should I have... g-g-given up more? W-was I not a g-good enough student?" she asked, looking up at Dianora for... answers. Answers she probably wouldn't believe if she heard them.
Double Trouble Dianora Lagorio lifts the necklace up over her head, and shifts back into Double Trouble. They're at home. Nobody's watching. They can be themselves. The necklace gets tucked into a pocket in their mesh bodysuit.

They lean into Hinoiri, lifting their arm up to wrap around her shoulders and give her a little sideways hug. "Darling, that poor kitten is beyond broken. Don't compare yourself to her. You're so much better," they say, giving Hiniori a little pat on the shoulder with their other hand.

"And just so we're clear, I did ''not'' come here for Catra. I just woke up here, came to Obsidian, and there she was in the break room. She didn't even recognize me," they say, and grin. "I'm still not sure she knows I knew her."
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara sniffles, just a little, staring up at the reptile. Not Dianora, Double Trouble. A part of her, the smart part, reminded her this was dangerous. Showing weakness. But... But she couldn't not, right now. "I... I am b-better, aren't I?" she asked gently. Maybe the hug was helping, maybe the reminder of what she was. Maybe... maybe she just needed someone to tell her she mattered.

"... If... I was more... broken... would Sora have come? Was... I too strong? Or..." She shook her head. "It's not... fair... I... I gave up so much for her. I gave her everything. I... I scrimped and saved and pushed myself. I-I wasn't just perfect. I was MORE than perfect! H-half the class couldn't even get their flowers to grow from the seed. I-I turned it into a fifty foot tall behemoth," she said, wiping some of the tears from her eyes. And...

"... So... why... won't anyone e-ever come for me? N-nobody e-ever comes for me. Not now... not... not then... I... I..."

And then of all things she HUGGED Double Trouble. Just full on hugged her. Arms around her, head to her chest, lightly shaking, quivering. "Nobody... e-ever came for me... t-they just... t-tossed me into the woods. I-I didn't know w-who I was o-or what I was o-o-or who m-my parents w-were or why they h-hated me so much, they just... just a-abandoned me a-a-a-and Sora said I'd b-be great and a-amazing a-and n-now she t-t-tossed me o-out too w-why? Why? W-what did I do wrong? W-why am I n-never g-g-good enough?" Aaaand now her shirt was covered in tears and possibly snot.
Double Trouble Double Trouble just sits there. They pull their legs up underneath them and let their tail wrap around Hinoiri's waist. It's just a big bundle of hugging there on the love seat.

The girl is just a pile of neuroses in a school uniform. At first it was fun because she's so easy to manipulate, but even their cold little heart aches a little seeing the poor girl so broken up like this. That's probably why they decide not to stoke the fires, but instead, maybe help her out a little. Maybe. They're not a therapist.

"Fuck Sora. Seriously, Hinoiri. If she can't see your greatness, that's ''her'' failing, not yours. You've got to stop defining yourself by what others think of you. You're on this mission to gain power so you can become an alicorn and go back to rule your world. Why? What has your world ever done for you? Fuck it. Fuck all of them," they rant, getting a bit more riled up as they go.

"You're amazing, Hinoiri. People who can't see that aren't worth your time, girl."
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara was getting way better care than she would have expected... probably more than she would have even thought she deserved.

Well, she'd say she deserved it but... that... was always... something different from what she actually felt.

Hearing 'Fuck Sora', however, made her jerk a little. Helped some of what she said penetrate her head. "It... it is her failing, isn't it?" Hinoiri asked gently. "She... she was the one who showed me the mirror. S-showed me my destiny. To be... to be her equal. Her better. If she... if she couldn't handle it, then that was her failing. N-not mine," she said gently. Slowly, she looked up at Double Trouble. "I... I'm sorry. You're... you're right. I'm... I'm amazing. I'm incredible. I-I've only been in this w-world a few months a-and I'm already... o-one of the most p-powerful f-forces here." That. That was debatable. As in not true. But she believed it. She relaxed, just a little bit, a few of the tears stopping.

"And... and so what if Sora never came for me... she... she's too focused on her big, stupid t-throne. I... I came here and I'm getting stronger than she e-ever imagined. B-better than s-she could ever be. A-and I have better p-people here to d-do it with me. A-and when I take over my world, t-they'll all see I was r-right all along. They'll even thank me. B-because I am so m-much better than they could e-ever be..."

She supposed it was weird, honestly. Hugging a reptile like this. Especially considering it reminded her of home. She'd never really... hugged a dragon. But if she had, she imagined it would be a lot like this. "... You'd have made a good dragon," she mumbled. That was... probably a compliment.
Double Trouble There are some points that no matter how many times you make them, just won't sink in. Double trouble pats Hinoiri's back they sit there, hugging, and Hinoiri almost latches on to what they were trying to say, but falls short of actually grasping it. The Fright Zone wasn't built in a day, and Hinoiri won't get past her insecurity because of one thing they said.

"Are dragons known for their stellar performance abilities?" Double Trouble asks, leaning back a little and grinning. "Oh the ''look'' on Adora's face was ''priceless'' when she started to realize something was off with Glimmer."

They disentangle themselves and move so that they're standing up in front of the sofa, and their body changes into Adora, but with a ridiculously huge hair poof in front. "Best Friend Squad isn't about ''having fun'', it's about shooting at each other with magic swords!"

They shimmer back into themselves and flop back down onto the loveseat with a sigh. "Please don't beat yourself up because of anything to do with Adora. She's a mess."
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara shook her head. "N-no. But they're known to be incredibly powerful." And greedy. "And strong. A dragon that could change its form w-wouldn't be that difficult to imagine."

Of course, then she distracted her with more things. And it worked! Within a few moments Hinoiri was giggling, finally pulling back. A smile on her lips. "Oh my gosh, right? She looked like she was going to have her brain leak out of her ears."

Then the Adora impression made her just laugh harder, covering her mouth to try and stiffle it. "Oh my gosh. Best friend squad? Can you get a lamer name than that?" Hinoiri asked. "I wonder if that hair poof of hers is just an attempt to hide that iiiiiiiitty bitty brain in her skull."

But then... she nodded. "Right. You're... right. I shouldn't look at it as what's right about Catra. But instead, what's wrong with Adora. She's the idiot. And..."

Deep breath. "Swiftwind. Who is Swiftwind? Why does Adora have an ALICORN of all things? More importantly, why did an alicorn let her RIDE him? Also, even MORE importantly, how is he an ALICORN here? I got turned into this," she said, motioning to herself. "But he got to stay an alicorn? That's hogwash."
Double Trouble "That alicorn is an idiot," Double Trouble says. "He's the most himbo horse I've ever met. Really, he's ''perfect'' for Adora that way. He's not an alicorn like Sora is an alicorn, I can guarantee it. He. Was. A. Horse. Then he got zapped by Adora's sword, and now he's that. She-Ra's noble steed."

They shake their head. "He never shuts up." Which is really rich coming from Double Trouble. "They work together really well, unfortunately. This is just going to make Adora more annoying."

Their tail wraps around them and they grin, then. "I like incredibly powerful. I like what this dark energy does for my sorcery. I can do things here I couldn't do in Etheria. Did you see how I almost kinda teleported?"
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara blinked a few times and just stared at Double Trouble. "Did you say that... she... MADE... him an alicorn? He was just a horse before?" she asked.

And already her head was plotting, scheming. Then, well, she laughed. For an entirely NEW reason... and it was the laugh that the reptile likely knew well.

"Her horse makes alicorns. That's... perfect. No, it's likely not what I actually need. But it might... be close enough. If her sword can do it, and I can unravel the spell itself? I might be able to use it to advance my project even further. Ohhhh, Double Trouble, I love you. You're just the best roommate a girl could ask for," she said with a wicked grin.

And Hinoiri was back.

She eyed Double Trouble for a moment, looking thoughtful. "Hmmm... that's true. Dusk porting is fairly easy, I can run you through that. Actual teleportation, though? That's a... little more complex. But maybe that's what I need to do for a bit. Focus on you," she said before stretching a little. "So, dusk porting is a lot like... in many ways? It's taking hold of that dark energy inside you and just... letting it go. Kind of slingshotting yourself through the dusk zone and then to where you want to go. Not very precise, but a quick, easy way to get in and out of a place. With setting up beacons, it's actually easy to get to where you want to go. So..." She held out her hand. "Wanna practice dusk porting with me? I actually know a place we could go. I'd been planning to surprise you by bringing some back... but I know a pretty far off place with a bunch of different beetles. You mentioned missing some from Etheria, I figured we could see if any reminded you of home."

... And there it was. Another small, minor sign that Hinoiri did at least try. Though it always seemed to be food of some kind with her.
Double Trouble They don't put the necklace back on, but they do shift into Dianora. They bring their hands together and clap. "That sounds like fun! You're the ''best'', onee-chan!" Then she dives across the loveseat to tackle hug Hinoiri.

Mission accomplished. Night salvaged. This was going to be great. Nothing could go wrong.
