Tamaki Suikawa     Jason is pretty chill at the moment. Also, he's cold. Why is it cold? Someone should really fix this stupid planet's rotation. Maybe he'll do that after the Dark Kingdom takes over. But for now, he's leaning against the outer wall of a building on campus, scrolling on his phone, and looking unimpressed with the contents of his messages, while breathing steam from his nose and mouth. He tries to breathe slowly so that he doesn't waste too much energy warming up air that he's about to exhale, getting the most oxygen he can as he holds it in, and then letting it out gradually before taking in another stinging, icy lungfull.

He takes the time to message back some people.

TXT to Naru: Yes, thank you, very nice. Do you have any calicos? I think Darien's little sister would like to see them if so. Also, can you be my buffer against basketball gifs, she's been sending them every day for months.

TXT to Himeko: Please field Naru's cat pictures for me. I'm busy. Also, I'm sure she would love to see your basketball gif.

That dealt with, he puts his phone away so he can stuff his hands in his pockets.
Nephrite     Masato wanders up in his school uniform and a black longcoat. He isn't too proud to show up as Nephrite so that the cold is practically irrelevant, and then just dress as Masato, but if Jason is being Jason then Masato can be Masato. He still sewed astrological glyphs into his coat though, so he's pretty toasty.

"Jason. What a surprise seeing you here." he calls out lazily, making it clear that it is not at all a surprise. "Shall we head indoors for some coffee? You appear to need it."
Tamaki Suikawa     "Eat a dick," is Jason's reply as he pushes off from the wall and starts walking. "I'm not here for coffee, and neither are you. We need to have a frank discussion about the future, and I'd rather not have it somewhere the wrong people can overhear. This place has pretty good security in that department at least." He continues marching along, occasionally glancing up at the cloudy sky. It's going to snow soon, probably.
Nephrite     "Actually," Masato interjects, ignoring the rude initial greeting. "I did in fact come out here expecting to have some coffee. Is there some reason we can't speak indoors? Nobody is going to care." He also looks up, and makes the same prediction as Jason. Just another reason to not be outside, honestly. "I was thinking of inviting Naru. I understand she is a friend of yours?"
Tamaki Suikawa     Ugh. "No, you should absolutely not invite her. I would call you an idiot for even suggesting that, but I know you're not one, so it makes it even more insulting that you're acting so dense." He's rolling his eyes in annoyance as he stalks around a corner and heads through the space between two buildings, before stopping and turning around to face the taller student. "How long are we going to keep doing this?"
Nephrite     Masato follows along silently until they get to their little meeting place for the moment. It's hardly as secure as Jason seemed to be suggesting, considering anyone can just walk by and hear them. But he senses Jason is being at least semi-serious right now, so responds honestly. "I am being completely authentic when I ask if you can be more specific. There is ''a lot'' going on."
Tamaki Suikawa     Removing his right hand from his pocket, Jason rubs his forehead and sighs. "Yes. Of course." His glasses are fogging up from his own body heat. He takes them off and puts them in his pocket before continuing. "Are we continuing with your science project or not? Last I heard, the next part hinges on you, and you've done nothing since that disaster at the embassy. Don't you think it's about time to act? If you're giving up, say so. I'm sure Darien wants to know too. Ours isn't the only result that's being graded here."
Nephrite     Masato wrinkes his nose at Jason, as though he has just walked into the grand ballroom and smelled steamed brusselsprouts. "Alright, can you be even ''more'' specific, please."
Tamaki Suikawa     "Oh, in the name of all ten-thousand Hells... I'm talking about continuing the charade! Are we going to keep pretending that everything is going fine, or are we going to ''move forward''?" Jason asks exasperatedly.
Nephrite     Masato stares back at Jason flatly. After a truly onerous amount of time of him just glowering, the tall brown-haired man says indignantly, "Do you have ''any idea'' how little that narrows it down?"
Tamaki Suikawa     Jason glares back. Eventually, he just says, "Fine. We can talk another time then. We should have Darien and Yoshi involved regardless. I just thought we could hash out the details ourselves beforehand." He pulls out a USB drive from his left-hand pocket and holds it out. "Please do take a look at the contents before that eventual meeting?" he requests fake-pleasantly with a fake-nice smile that is obviously sarcastic in nature.
Nephrite     "I would strongly appreciate," Masato says slowly, carefully, and with teeth-gritted, "If you could try to scale back from eleven on your insufferability." He practically snatches the USB out of Jason's hand and stuffs it in a coat pocket without really thinking about it. "Yoshimitsu doesn't even ''go'' to this school, so he has no reason to be involved except to distract us from our work. Do you just want me to say it? Yes. Okay? Yes, I am moving forward. She wanted to see the capybaras, so we're going to take her to see the capybaras."
Tamaki Suikawa     The blonde student throws his hands up in a 'What the hell!?' gesture. "Are you serious!?" he hisses, as close to shouting while whispering as he can get. "Can you even imagine the amount of shit we'd get if we didn't invite Yoshi? Me, you, Darien, and her, but ''not Yoshi''?? Oh my Gods, you're so dense sometimes." Jason just puts both hands over his face, trying to warm the cold skin while hiding himself from a world that seems to try to hurt him at every turn.

"If this is going to work, we need unity. Unity of purpose and organization. I'm not going to put any more time or resources into this trip if it's just going to go sideways like at the zoo." Jason insists when he raises his head.
Nephrite     Masato rolls his eyes heavenward. "You're still being insufferable. You weren't even ''there'' for the zoo trip. And it didn't ''go sideways'', their mission was accomplished and they all left happily. Look, just... Go inside, get warmed up, maybe avoid anything with caffeine after all, and go to bed. You're overthinking things."
Tamaki Suikawa     "Oh my god. OH MY GOD. I am not hearing this right now!" Jason abandons all pretense of stealth as he loudly denounces his friend's words and puts his hands over his ears. "''YOU WEREN'T THERE EITHER, GENIUS.'' And you're accusing ''me'' of ''overthinking things''? HAH! Oh my God, that's so hilarious I can't even laugh at it! Holy hell, you have some nerve." Jason turns on his heel and stalks off, muttering obscenities to himself.
Nephrite     Standing there, steaming mad himself as Jason stomps out of the alley like a child who just got told he couldn't go outside to play, Masato eventually cups his hands around his mouth, not content to let Jason get the last word. "I'LL SEE YOU ON SUNDAY FOR CARDS LIKE USUAL!"
Tamaki Suikawa     Jason just flips Masato the middle finger over his shoulder without even looking as his response, before turning the corner at the other end of the space, and going out of sight.
Nephrite     How absolutely insufferable. Shaking his head in disgust, Masato turns around and stomps his own way out of the space between school buildings. "Some friends I have." he mutters angrily. How is it so hard to arrange a trip to see some damned capybaras? And ''he's'' supposedly the one overthinking things. Hah! How laughable! Gods, he's going to tell Naru about this.
