Mio Morita "UGH!" A punch to the stomach stinks at the best of times, A punch to the stomach by a three story terribad stinks a whole lot worse. Cure Daybreak goes flying backward and slamming into a snow covered tree. Snow comes falling down, covering her up just a little bit. As Daybreak stands up and knocks the snow off of herself, the terribad which is sporting a green scarf and looks like its got a furnace for a torso, just sorta gestures at her to come at it again.

"Cure Daybreak, you should learn to stay out of our way. I heard about your adventure in America. It would be too much work for me to go through that. You could just relax and let us do as we want. You can't beat us anyway." The green clad grasshopper general comments while lounging on the bough of a tree. "You will never win." Namakelder yawns and gestures at the terribad, "Shoo. Go take care of her for me."

Daybreak smirks, "You shouldn't bring up stuff you know little about, grasshopper." She jumps and attacks the terribad, laying into it with a barrage of rather fast, decent punches. She's been training. The terribad gets knocked back into a building. Without giving it a chance to recover, Daybreak hits the dial on her prebrace. "Morning Sun Beam!" She calls out and throws her hands forward sending a bright orange beam of energy at the monster.

"Terribad!" The monster roars as its pummeled by the energy beam. Its not done though. Not by a long shot. It stands up and fire erupts from its furnace torso, sending flames at Daybreak.
Iona Hikawa Terribads are pretty hard to miss, usually. And it's especially true when you go through the same area a lot, even if you can perceive dark energy at work. So when Iona sees the hulking figure in the distance, she wastes no time inserting the Cure Fortune PreCards into the Pretty Change Mirror.

"Pretty Cure Spinny Mirror Change!" A white throw covers Iona as she transforms, and soon enough she tosses it off herself. "The star of hope that glitters in the night sky! Cure Fortune!"

"Let's go, Glasan!", Iona says, her bow enlarging into wings and flying above the Terribad. She winces as she sees Cure Daybreak, not just because of the pretty bad hit she took, but because of the prospect of having to fight alongside her after their last (and first) meeting.

Still, time to show him what it actually means to use fire, and she has just the thing for it. Cure Fortune spins the dial on her Love Prebrace, and energy starts gathering into her fist. With a sudden explosion, Iona is carried forward, putting the full force of it into her fist and striking the Terribad.

"Do you seriously think you can just do as you wish without nobody intervening, Namakelder?" Cure Fortune yells to the General of the Phantom Empire as she jumps back. "How are you feeling, Cure Daybreak?" she asks the fellow Precure. "If you feel now is not the time for you, I can take care of this Terribad."
Mio Morita Namekelder opens a single eye and looks to see, "Cure Fortune, On a good day yes. I can only hope that I see that day. When I am free to let my precious terribad spread misfortune without you pretty cures stepping in." Then the terribad takes some punishment from Cure Fortune. The giant monster goes down again, much to the annoyance of the Grasshopper man. He sighs and sits up. "Kindabads! Deal with these Pretty cures while I resume my name." He flops back onto his back and a bubble forms from his nose. Yup He's asleep.

"Thanks for the suggestion. It takes more than a punch to the stomach to make me lose hope!" Daybreak gives a peace sign and winks playfully. Then in come the swarm of kindabads. "Well its getting to be a little more fun! Shall we?" She comments before attacking a kindabad and sending it flying into a small group of them.

There are a large number kindabads and they are swarming! Within a moments time they are surrounding the two Pretty Cure. They start moving in, ready to deal a little damage of their own.
Iona Hikawa "You can keep dreaming about it!" Iona shouts against Namakelder's remark of being able to spread misfortune unimpeded. She is preparing another strike against the Terribad when the General seems to take her at her word and goes to sleep.

"Is he serious? Why does he always have...!?" she starts complaining before the smaller youma rush in. Cure Fortune lands just behind Cure Daybreak then, her back to the other girl, looking at the Kindabads around them. "I am ready when you are!", she says, before beginning to hit at their with punches and kicks alike, covering for the occasional weak point in her attack with the Hikawa Karate style.
Mio Morita Cure Daybreak smiles as she fights her own swarm of kindabads. Her fighting style is not exactly known thanks to Adora training her. She gets an idea. "Tell you what, You take care of the terribad. I will clean out the small fry." She comments as she shoots low, grabs legs of a kindabad and uses that one to swing around and take down several others.

The terribad is not out of the fight. It is however taking a lazy moment to spread some mold around. Maybe terribads take after their summoners? The Suddenly half of the district is being covered in mold. "Thats right my terribad, Spread the mold." Is Namekelder talking in his sleep? It would seem that way.
Iona Hikawa "Fine by me, I will leave the kindabads in your care then", Iona says, just punching a few Kindabads that are aiming for her before her back bow turns into wings again as she rises up in the sky once more.

The ring on her hand starts shining and the Fortune Tambourine manifests in her hand while Iona stares at the Terribad spreading that disgusting mold. Namakelder is even content about it in his sleep somehow.

"I have got it up here!", Cure Fortune assures Daybreak, pointing the Tambourine towards the Terribad after lighting the heart on it. Energy starts quickly building up at its center and just a second later Iona releases it. "Fortune Comet Arrow!" The Terribad is about to be hit by quite the big laser.
Mio Morita "No problem, Cure Fortune!" Daybreak smirks and quickly jumps high into the air. She promptly hits her prebrace and spins the dial. "Daybreak Explosion Bomber!" She calls out and her prebrace draws in daylight. She comes down and unleashes a powerful punch into one of the kindabads. The result is an explosion doing two big things. Knocking back the rest of the kindabads, making a nice clearing for Daybreak to land in, And secondly, drawing the attention of all of the kindabads so they won't bother Cure Fortune.

Meanwhile, Cure Fortune is attacking the terribad. The Terribad has no idea what is coming. It is distracted by the spread of mold. Blame the clueless Namekelder for that one. It takes the Comet Arrow energy square in the chest and goes flying backwards. Yup its starting to get weak.

Daybreak has been itching to do a little something for a while. She quickly loads cards into her prechan mirror, "Rolling Mirror Change! Lemon Merengue Change it up!" Her outfit promptly changes to her Lemon Merengue outfit which happens to be a long dancing dress which flows with her movements. She Spins around and grabs kindabad. She dances with it doing a latin style dance which gets the attention of a lot of the remaining kindabads. Upon finishing, the kindabads turn white and float away.
Iona Hikawa This is when Iona would be telling Namakelder to make things simpler and just release the victim if he were awake for it, but he is sleeping, so there isn't a big chance of her being heard. Unless he is aware enough. He ''was'' sleeptalking about their exact circumstances just a second ago.

"It's about to be over, Namakelder. Daybreak has disposed of the Kindabads and even your Terribad isn't faring much better. Return the city's beauty as it was and release that poor person. The Daybreak and the Stars will always shine through misfortune!"

Whether that speech has had any effect on not, Cure Fortune engages in close range fighting next, punching and kicking at the tired Terribad.
Mio Morita Namakelder twitches and nearly falls out of his tree. He looks up and glares at Fortune. "Cure Fortune, I will never give up. Terribad, Crush her." He demands of the giant monster of the week. The terribad rages and tries to attack Cure Fortune but its no use. Fortune just has too much umph behind her attacks. The creature gets pummeled and falls to the ground.

Daybreak smirks watching the attacks on the Terribad. Then something clicks. Namakelder is distracted! She quickly spins the dial on her prebrace and calls out. "Morning Sun BEAM!" The beam goes flying at Namakelder. Somehow he sees it coming and teleports out of the way.

"Poor form, Cure Daybreak. Attacking an innocent man in the middle of his afternoon nap!"
Iona Hikawa "That's surprisingly earnest of you, Namakelder, I thought you were all about lazing around instead of putting effort into things", Iona fires back at him.

But now it's time to show the effort ''they'' have been putting into things, with the Terribad is down. Cure Fortune starts spinning the dial on her wrist, ready to purify the Terribad.

"Light of the stars, turn into sacred power! Love PreBrace!" Energy starts swirling around her fists as she rotates them, before turning into a star above her head as she raises her arms high. "PreCure Stardust Shoot!" With a simple swing of her arms, the star flies at speed towards the Terribad, catching the youma into itself and purifying it. "Soooo relaxing!" it says before the purification does its job. "Stars, return to the Heavens!"
Mio Morita "Dirty Precures! Next time, next time I will make sure you don't ruin my nap!" Namakelder grumbles as the person is freed from the mirror. The person happens to be an innocent heating repair man. He is quite confused as he comes to his senses. Namakelder rolls his eyes and teleports away, Probably to go nap in Queen Mirage's throne room.

Daybreak turns back into her normal Precure form. No more long flowy yellow dress for her. "You were awesome Cure Fortune!" She comments as she smiles. "I hope we can work together again sometime." She looks at Fortune and sighs. "You know why I was pushing to make amends with Cure Princess don't you?" She sighs. "It wasn't to be annoying or anything. Its because we are all better together. What she did was bad but no matter if we like it or not, She is a Precure Too. One who needs help." She frowns. "That's all I will say on the subject."
Iona Hikawa Glasan attracts Iona's attention as she goes over to the Precure in a state of agitation. over and comes down in front of Daybreak, "I feel the clue-finding power of a detective!", the purple fairy exclaims, poking her nose forward. "Rub it please!" "Rub-rub", Iona says as she complies, causing Glasan to laugh and sneeze as PreCards appear out of her backpack. "You are one step closer to your great hope!", the fairy announces happily before putting them in the PreCard Decor.

"Thank you, Cure Daybreak, your fighting style and dance were great too", she compliments back the fellow Cure. The former did catch her curiosity a bit with how unhortodox it was. "I don't think I have ever seen one like yours, which school did you learn it at?"

The comments regarding Hime cause her to emit a displeased snort. "My sister is still lost thanks to the Phantom Empire. How am I supposed to forgive her?" Cure Fortune says, sadness breaking through into her tone. "All I receive is pushback or being forced to meet with Hime under false pretenses. When you stumbled upon our gathering, I didn't know Hime was supposed to be there. As far as I know, it was just supposed to be a chat between me and Cho-san, no stress whatsoever."
Mio Morita "To be honest I didn't know what I stepped into there. I just heard that Precures were at odds and I learned recently that that is a bad thing. We gotta work together to deal with stuff. I didn't know we were talking to the person who unleashed the phantom empire on us. That is a kinda big deal." She laughs nervously and looks at the ground. "I know that she is the source of your biggest problem and the reason you lost your sister. That has to be a really harsh thing to deal with. Its like if the reason my mother died was in the flesh and I had to look at them and people were expecting me to work with them even though I just wanted to lay into them."

She frowns. "There is a difference though, Fortune. Your sister can be brought back. To do that we need to face off against Phantom. You know as well as I do that nearly every precure that has gone against him has wound up in the same position as your Sister. We need a team to take him. Let Hime atone for her crime by becoming a part of that team. She can learn and get stronger just as we can."

Daybreak drops it and smiles. "As for my style, I am training with a girl at the school. Her name is Adora. She is teaching me a fast style of combat that she learned where she is from. I don't know what it is called though."
Iona Hikawa It's not like Iona didn't want to listen to Mio's speech. The opposite rather. It iss a rather effective speech that establishes an emotional connection between Mio and Iona, one to which the purple-haired girl cannot stay unmoved against.

Still, that is at a rather severe fight with the part of her that hurts whenever Hime gets involved in the conversation, either physically or if others bring her up. Her mouth shut tight as the internal conflict goes on, she stares at Mio as if the other Precure had the answer to Phantom's location.

After a while she sighs. "I don't to diminish what you have gone through, my condolences for your mother, but I don't really know what to do with Hime. What you say makes sense, but at the same time, I just can't bear it when Hime is involved."

She impulsively starts fiddling with the rattles of her tambourine, meditating on how to continue. "Say I do give Hime a chance, and not only does she not improve, but she also never change in battle, what then?"
Mio Morita Daybreak thinks a long minute about that for a few moments, "You have spent long enough hating her that you can't see anything but that. The only answer I can give is hope. You give her a chance and hope she improves. What I do know is even the weakest of us can get stronger with training. You weren't always the awesome fighter you are. Heck a month or two ago I wasn't nearly as capable at fighting as I am now. It takes a desire to improve. One thing is certain, Hime, for all her faults, wants to improve. She wants to undo what she's done. So, lets let her prove herself. I will help her to train, just as Cho wants to do."

She smirks and then laughs a little. "And don't think I'm going to go easy on her. She may be a royal but I can be a royal pain in the butt when I need to be!" She laughs some more. "Really Fortune, What do we have to lose in giving her a chance? Phantom isn't here yet so we have time. We get her up to where she can at least take down a terribad by herself. Plus there is another factor. In working together, We all get stronger. Like full on combo attacks and stuff. Its a win-win situation. Let her prove herself to you. I think she will surprise you and herself at the same time."
Iona Hikawa Iona can't deny any of what Mio says. As an instructor under her grandpa's tutelage, she experiences it firsthand all the time in the dojo, and she certainly remembers all the intensive training she had to get where she is now. The question is, does she actually have the strength to stop intertwining together Hime and her grief over Maria?

She doesn't know. Hime has been a foundation of it just as much as the Phantom Empire itself ever since she discovered what she has done, what is going to be left once she lets go of it? Isn't it a disservice to the victims to fight alongside Hime? Or is the disservice actually refusing all the help against the Phantom Empire?

"Daybreak, I..." She shuts her mouth again in hesitation, staring at the fellow Precure. "I think I know. I have actually seen It myself. As spoiled and cowardly Hime is, when the chips are down, she actually pushes herself hard, harder than many other people I have known and challenges that fear head-on. She is brave exactly because she is afraid."

Iona stares at the landscape in front of her. She knows the answer she has to give. There really is no other way, is there? "I think I have actually been at fault for many things myself. If I hadn't been so stubborn, maybe the Phantom Empire wouldn't have been as much of a threat."

Iona bows to Daybreak. "I am sorry for holding everyone back. I will do my best from now on, and even help train Hime myself if she is ok with that. I think I owe her that."
Mio Morita Daybreak smiles to Fortune. "Don't be so hard on yourself. You were and still are grieving your sister. Grief makes ya do a lot of stuff you may not usually do. You want the same thing we all want. To put a stop to the Phantom Empire and make sure they don't get a foothold here."

"I am at a disadvantage when it comes to Hime. I've not seen her fight. I only know what I've put together when talking to you and Cho. If you say she can do it, I believe you." Daybreak smiles, happy that tensions are starting to relax. "Oh! Remember, Courage isn't the absence of fear, its the knowledge that there is something more important than that fear. Hime has that knowledge. Otherwise she wouldn't run into fights that she might not be able to handle."

She smiles again. "We are going to beat the tar out of the Phantom Empire. They won't see it coming. So far they have seen us mostly fight alongside other magical girls or at times we team up in passing like today. Wait til they see what an actual team can do to them! I wonder how Cure Lovely is? She should team up with us too. I think she'd be willing."
Iona Hikawa Fortune gets up from her bowing and looks at Daybreak. She can make things so easy, somehow. "Thank you, Cure Daybreak. I guess our chance encounter was actually ordained by fate", Iona smiles at her.

She truly feels like a weight is beginning to be lifted off her shoulders, a weight she didn't even know was there. "I will try my best to be fair with Hime. I think that at least yours or Cho's presence would be useful, in case I need a reminder. And about this Cure Lovely, I would lo... appreciate meeting her if you have such a high opinion of her. I look forward to the day we all fight together against the Phantom Empire."

Glasan chooses just that moment to intervene. "That's my Iona! I am so glad we have you aboard, Cure Daybreak! Now the Phantom Empire won't see what hit them!"

"Alright, alright", Iona smiles at Glasan. "Cure Daybreak means we have to train together to become a team, don't forget that. But yes, I am actually optimistic against the Phantom Empire now."
