| The Pikarigaoaka Botanical Gardens is a lovely park area based in one of the many parks in Pikarigaoaka. The Gardens is known for its array of rose bushes, ivy-covered trellises, and large central koi pond that it's built around.
Cherry trees line a round path, with the path cutting down the middle of the park. Along the path, various flowers and bushes bloom, with small marble stands that contain a picture and blurb about the plant with information, like when it was introduced to the park, and uses the plant may have (besides being gorgeous to look at). The entire northern portion of the park seems to be dedicated to roses -- a popular spot for romantic couples to go to. Benches sit along the path and around the koi pond at the middle of the park, which a foot bridge passes over, to allow people to look down into the middle of the pond. The pond is filled with all sorts of koi of vibrant orange, white and red colors, and feeding time for them is a popular time to visit as people watch all the koi rush greedily to the fish food visitors and staff alike are able to place into the water. Around the park is a long steel fence, to border the garden -- and to stop unwanted visitors during the night hours from vandalizing the plants. The old legend says that a rose picked from the garden guarantees the love of the person you desire most -- a legend that many teenagers attempt to invoke. | ||||
