Only his heart, though. There's not much else that he can do.<br><br>It's a wide dark room very close to Demande's personal quarters, and there's a life-sized glowing hologram of Neo Queen Serenity in it on a pedestal. It's silent and oppressive, and the air and floor sap life and negate power, and Mamoru was beaten brutally and has no power to heal it.<br><br>And the dark energy is ''everywhere''. It's everywhere. It's all there, ripe for the taking, and it would ''let'' him patch himself up, it would ''give'' him the use of his crushed hands back, it would give him the power to get free and come back with friends, it would give him the power to fix his elbow, his leg, his ribs, his nose, his face...<br><br>There's dried blood all over his face and down his Unmask aLIVE baseball shirt, his leg has swollen his skinny jeans near to bursting, his elbow is a swollen wreck, his hands...<br><br>...his hands.<br><br>He's a mess, fluffy hair and all, glasses gone, eyes nearly shut from the swelling.<br><br>He's sprawled out on the floor where he was dumped, and the pain is unbelievable, and he's keeping himself occupied by naming all the bones that are broken. ''Hamate, capitate, trapezoid, trapezium, pisiform...''<br> <br>

When the footsteps stop just outside, Lady pushes the door open and just invites herself in, holding a black and mauve parasol in her hands.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Her red, disdainful eyes go towards the Neo Queen Serenity hologram and scoffs. "Her hair's wrong," she complains before rolling her eyes. "Tasteless ''fool''."<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She kicks the door closed behind her. She didn't ''need'' to, but she's in a violent mood. Eventually, her scornful gaze falls upon Mamoru and she...<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;''... is instantly livid.''<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Storming to Mamoru's side, she scowls down at him for a moment. Tch. "Breaking one of my toys... maybe I'll break one of his in return," she says, speaking of Mamoru as if he's a thing instead of a person. A favored thing, but still a thing. "Oh, that must hurt so badly. Surely you know you can heal yourself, right?" A cruel smile crosses her lips as she spreads her arms, sash emphasizing her movements. "All you have to do is let it in. Can't be so hard, can it?"<br> <br>

That's the face, that's the ribs.<br><br>He sees this woman with long pink hair in pointy odango, he sees how her face looks a little like Usagi's, a little like his own.<br><br>He hears her voice, and her accent, and her word choice. He feels her there. It's impossible to tell how drenched in dark energy she is, with it all around like this, and his eyes start stinging again. "Baby..." he whispers, "I promised not to. She also thinks that Demande is a loser and she hates him. She didn't ''mean'' to share that with Mamoru but it's right there on the forefront of her mind and she's not hiding it either.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;After a moment, she withdraws her touch and turns her back on him. She scowls at the hologram.<br> <br>

He's very very sorry that she's full of Dark Energy, and is here on Nemesis, and he can't say that. What does he say instead? "I guess I shouldn't have worried, you can take care of yourself now. You've always been amazing, sweetheart."<br><br>He's crying, silently, but that's obviously because of the pain, right? What is a promise to her? He couldn't protect her from this. He could protect her and himself and Usagi if he were Hematite again-- it hurts so much. Everything hurts so much.<br><br>And then the back of Wicked Lady's hand is against his skin, on his battered face, and dark energy and all he soaks in her touch. Even corrupted she still loves him. Even if she thinks of him right now as a toy-- let her. She has Usagi and Usagi is safe with her. ''New Moon''--<br><br>His breathing is a little easier. His face is still grey from the pain and discolored and swollen, but what she can see of his eyes is blue, blue, Earth's oceans blue, like her real Papa's. He loves her like her real Papa.<br><br>"He... got her hair wrong. I told him so. I said I get to brush it. I called him an incel but he didn't know what it was." No one would tell me what it meant, but also no one was putting anything into the swear jar? A little confusing. Anyways, go ahead and call him any bad name you want to. Her fan turns back into a parasol and she points it at the pedestal, firing a potent dark beam at the projector. "Eye for an eye," she explains.<br> <br>
