|Synopsis=Seriss Nyx has found what she's looking for. She has found Hotaru, and means to attack; but Molly managed to get a warning off to Rashmi, just before it could happen. Will it be enough? Can enough people intervene? Amy, Coco, and Souta all answer the call.

Seriss had hoped to find useful, actionable intelligence in the diary; maybe something about where the Mahou were keeping their secret hide-out, perhaps, or whatever it is children do these days. Or maybe the suspected locations of powerful artifacts. Or at least something. But no, it's just scattered notes about future plans for Dungeons and Dragons campaigns, character builds, musings about automobiles (a lot of that actually), and dreamy garbage about girls (and the occasional boy) who are 'cute'. <br> <br> One low-powered spell later and the book is reduced to ash. "Cygnus Lich, purge the rest of the secure storage except for the power regulator. Update on the target?" <br> <br> <span style="color:#E81717">&lt;&lt; AFFIRMATIVE. STORAGE PURGING. SUBJECT hotaru tomoe WILL ENTER TARGET AREA IN TWENTY SECONDS &gt;&gt;</span> <br> <br> Seriss pushes off from her perch, initially just plummeting as she orients herself to angle straight down before spreading her wings, flying out over the traffic. "Time Space Barrier," she instructs, and the world ripples as a distortion radiates outwards, shifting everything slightly purple and removing the civilians. "Atropos." <br> <br> Down below in a black Corolla, where Hotaru had probably been enjoying a perfectly normal Uber ride, everything suddenly goes off the rails -- particularly as the driver of her car vanishes. <br> <br> Then one of Seriss' strange sarcophagus creations rockets down from some high altitude, stopping just above the ground in front of her car. <br> <br> <span style="color:#FFA114">&lt;&lt; ## dARK STaRBUst ## &gt;&gt;</span> <br> <br> The attack is immediate, as eyes open all over the monolith and emit pulses of searing dark energy, blasting cars and debris and rocking Hotaru's ride onto its roof; before it can come to a stop it lifts off the ground, tugged by a beam of blue energy from Seriss as she swings the vechile up into the air and hurls it through the side of a skyscraper at around the tenth floor, sending it crashing through the office space. <br> <br> Into the hole she just made, the dark sorceress alights, landing softly on the floor. <br> <br> "Hello, Hotaru," she calls out. "I've been looking for you. Mistress 9 misses you ''dearly''."<br> <br>
