Alo Stauss wasn't sure how long she had been wandering, lost and feeling a strange sense of frustration and loss. That she'd missed out on something. That she'd felt she'd lost someone or something important to her. For the life of her, she couldn't tell exactly who or what though... just that it was something she was supposed to get. 

Instead she'd been wandering, lost, the sense of frustration at the situation building with each passing eternity of her wandering in that oppressive darkness. Occasionally the oppressive darkness seemed to fade away for moments, as she wandered through strange locales, strange areas that ... did not quite feel like somewhere she would be. Sometimes possibly seeing faces of people that she felt like she should recognize, but none of them seeming to do anything but stand there, never quite coming close enough to interact even if she chased after them... 

Eventually she gave up. 

All at once it came to an abrupt stop as in front of her stood a burning building, and an urgency to rescue something from inside. She dashed straight for the door, lifting the lance she barely realized she was holding to attempt to stab through the lock, struggling against the door briefly, before it gave way -- fire exploding out into her face, causing her to cough. 

She ran into the building, continuing that desperate search, even as her body felt like it was burning up. She couldn't stop herself -- she didn't know how at this point, the desperation and drive to find it pushing her so firmly. As she entered a stairwell in the building that had looked like a single story building from the outside, fire fell down upon her from above, her shield lifted up to try to block off the worst of the burning as her skin burned to ash... but she continued. 

Another door. Another stab. This time a falling log knocking her aside briefly -- but she follows up, breaking through the door... nearby windows shattering from the heat as fire burns in her chest -- along with it the frustration and building rage as she continues to search unsuccessfully. And then she sees it -- ahead of her -- her target. 

A beautiful priestess, which she dashes towards to attempt to save, her hand outstretched towards her -- and in the moments before... the building collapses around her, crushing her underneath it, as fire burns through her body. 

Darkness settles in. 

This wasn't new. Not even death would spare her from this unending nightmare. 

The Forgotten Princess could only press on. 

... 

...What was she even looking for, again? 

Why did this burning rage and frustration continue in her chest? 

... 

...

"Who am I?" 

Nobody answers, as Darkness Settles In.
