(I intend to use this page to list potential powers adjustments, rephrasings, and other things that have not yet been approved.) (If I haven't yet submitted a +pitch about a thing on this list, or if the Job is listed as ???, it's probably because I'm still working on it.)

Proposed Powers

Note: I should probably do a rewrite of Hope Concept and Hope Witch, or redefine what Hope Witch is, or figure out if I ever want to do a plot where Madoka takes on too much despair and has to pull back to using Hope Witch instead of Hope Concept. Anything involving Gretchen is complicated by the fact that Gretchen is explicitly an X-Chara which implies dark energy.

Kamiko's Labyrinth (Job: ???)

I want Kamiko to be able to use her Labyrinth as a Barrier without needing Hope Concept specifically. This should be a weaker form of Barrier than what Hope Concept can do because Hope Concept's ability to control her Labyrinth is core to her fighting style.

Kamiko and Gretchen

Madoka has near limitless potential, enough to become a god, but her dreams are not so ambitious. All of her unused potential went into one single chara: Kamiko, the Goddess Chara. When Kamiko becomes an X-Chara, she calls herself Gretchen. Kamiko represents the Hope of Madoka's divinity, while Gretchen holds the Despair of Madoka's Witch. Gretchen is unusual among X-Chara, because she doesn't care to work with Obsidian or Easter due to her Witch-like personality.

Madoka has near limitless potential, enough to become a god, but her dreams are not so ambitious. All of her unused potential went into one single chara: Kamiko, the Goddess Chara, formerly known as the X-Chara Gretchen. Kamiko represents Madoka's endless desire to bring Hope to the world. Being a bit of an unusual Chara, Kamiko has the ability to create her own Labyrinth and summon tiny Familiars. Unlike Hope Concept's Familiars, Kamiko's are not suitable for combat and are lower on the power scale than your typical mascot, but her Labyrinth can be used as a Barrier in combat to prevent damage to civilians and property. If Kamiko ever gets corrupted again, she will likely go back to calling herself Gretchen.

Pluvia Magica: Big rain of arrows finisher.

Lux Magica: Arrows fired into magical geometry that turns into a beam.

Diffusio Sagitta: Wide spread arrow fire.

Penetrans Sagitta: Narrower spread of arrow fire.

Witch Redemption Replacement (Job: ???)

So far Madoka has:

Nullified Sayaka's Contract (marked it as 'technically completed' because she did actually Witch')

Turned two Witches back into magic-less humans (with a lot of outside help from other Mahou)

(Both of which happened at the end of Gretchen's Meaniedokas plot and IIRC had specific approval.)

Freed the souls of several Puella from their Grief Seeds after Witching (which allows them to pass on normally).

If I want to incorporate some kind of Coordinator-like power (from Magia Record) then I think it can kinda be rolled into this kind of thing so that I can kill two birds with one stone. I can finally clarify Witch Redemption into a real power listing as well as set Madoka up as a potential source for upgrades.

This is a placeholder to note that the exact details and rules for turning Witches back into Puella Magi hasn't been decided yet. Stealing despair from a Witch might not be enough in of itself. Maybe Madoka messes with Kyubey's contract magic somehow, or maybe she messes with karmic destiny, or maybe her memories of being a Witch in past timelines allows her to discover something that will be helpful later. All I know is that this is a question best answered later, and the rules for whatever is decided upon can replace this entry at a more appropriate time.

Potential Rephrasing

Puella Savior

Madoka has decided to devote her unspent potential as Hope Concept to the cause of saving as many Puella Magi as she can. What exactly this means depends upon the situation, as Madoka's miracle-working powers don't follow rules that make sense to mortal or rational minds, but the most common use case is freeing a Puella Magi's soul from their Grief Seed and allowing them to pass on to whatever unknowable afterlife awaits them. Occasionally it can mean turning a Witch back into a living human being, or it might involve releasing a Puella Magi from her contract. (Such things require an approved +pitch of some form, especially if they affect a PC.) Since she has spent so much time messing with Grief Seeds she might on occasion be able to modify an existing Soul Gem to make it more efficient, alter its powers, or draw upon a Puella's Witch. However, such alterations follow the same unknowable restrictions as any other miracle she can perform. (Which is to say, any upgrades still need an approved +pitch).
