Muses are the human champions of the Divine Muses, the mystical beings of Greek mythology who are responsible for inspiring humans in their particular fields of creativity. There are 9 Divine Muses, each governing a different form of art, and theoretically each could empower a human champion (referred to simply as a Muse). Each human muse is given a symbol of their patron's power, based on that Divine Muse's traditional emblem. Usually this takes the form of an amulet or diadem engraved with said emblem. In addition to this, they are given an inhuman amount of talent in their chosen aristic field. This blessing of talent is the mark of the Divine Muse's favor. Transforming requires a divine expression of that talent- a perfect note, a blessed stroke of the brush, or a ringing declamation, while wielding the emblem.

Each Divine Muse could empower more than one champion, so there could be other music-related Muses in addition to ones spawned from other forms of art. There's really no rules about this.

A Muse will have a style directly related to the Divine Muse from which they draw power. As such they are not necessarily similar to each other, but will be themed after the form of art they are the champion of. Outfits can vary wildly, though all are vibrant, attention-grabbing, and colorful. Most Muses have a style that screams 'pay attention to me', whether that's via strobing lights, neon colors, or something else.

In terms of combat powers, again these may vary based on the art form in which the Muse is based. Attacks will be thematic to the art, and generally loud and attention-grabbing just like the outfits. The bywords are "creativity" and "beauty".
