Coco is sitting at her desk, a pen in her hand. Her other hand is busy petting Cora, the otter currently resting peacefully with her eyes closed on the wooden surface as the mermaid princess focuses on a white piece of paper in front of her.

The bay of Tokyo is a very calm place: unlike the frenetic activity of the city, there is nobody to disturb the quiet currents of the sea. It is a good place to relax, especially on the days immediately following failed plans of her enemies.

“Hmm, since Adrien is here, I need to start putting down some ideas”, the girl says, poking at her lips with the top of her pen, not having quite expected the boy to show up here after Marinette had said he was in France, but that was perfect, and besides, she did tell Marinette she would do it and she is fully intent on keeping that promise.
+
Nonetheless, today Coco isn’t here to find peace and quiet, but rather a messenger from her kingdom had visited her to inform her she had been requested, with a letter given for her due to Coco’s absence.

This isn’t a mere obligation to her, though: she is going to do this well, almost as if this were professional pride for her. A smirk starts forming on Coco’s face as the creative juices get flowing.
+
The letter, written in simple and elegant calligraphy, had requested a meeting with her two Saturdays from now. The signer? The mermaid princess of the North Atlantic.

“Ok, I am sure I can find a fortune teller around here somewhere. I can pay them to offer “free” counsel to Marinette and Adrien when they pass by. Being told they are perfectly compatible with each other would get them to give extra weight to their feelings.
+
A trap? Maybe, but the fact Saturday had been specified gives her hope it isn’t so. Not many know of that particular detail about the workings of their Pearls.

‘What do you think?’ she asks the otter telepathically, Cora looking up from her rest, not really sure as to why she was being asked. She doesn't even know why she is bothering with a bogus human fortune teller.
+
The days pass as the wait constantly robs Coco of her focus as she keeps thinking of what awaits her. After all this time, meeting another mermaid princess… There aren’t many people Coco could feel closer to.

'If it works, it works', is the helpful response. 'You are sure that this Adrien sees her in the same light, right?'
+
Turning up in the wide expanse of the sea should let the sender of the letter notice her. And besides, she had gone in a straight line from Yumegahama’s beach, just as the letter said.

'The whole point of this is exactly to get him to see her in the same light if he doesn't already', Coco replies. 'And he has a good opinion of her at least', she specifies, narrating the events at the zoo.
+
Her barely contained patience is soon rewarded as she sees a green mermaid show up, her heart skipping a beat as the colour matches the pearl of that kingdom.

'If you say so', Cora answers sleepingly, the long hours of patrol showing their impact on her. 'Have her give the boy a gift, at least.'
+
Coco’s face lightens up so much that were it actual light there would have been a serious risk of blindness. “Heey, I’m here!” the yellow mermaid shouts as she kicks with her tail as fast as a mermaid can go.

'She gets nervous easily around him, or I would have pushed her to do that already.' Coco hums pensively, adding a gift bullet point to the list anyway. 'Though, I suppose she doesn't have to give it herself', she remarks pleased. 'Even better, they can receive gifts from each other. I just need to print a quick message so they know who it's supposed to be from.'
+
“I did see you. I am Rina, the mermaid princess of the North Atlantic”, the other mermaid confirms in a placid tone, her eyes directed towards the shell locket dangling at her neck. “I could hardly believe my ears when I heard the kingdom of the South Pacific had suddenly started to be rebuilt. I thought Gaito had caught you.

 +
Coco just throws herself at the neck of the other mermaid, the joy she feels unmeasurable. “I am so glad you are here, you don’t know how much I missed everyone.”

'For the next part, I already have some solid ideas', the mermaid princess explains to Cora, who is still enjoying the sensations of the pettings as she rests. 'I will have crabs remind Adrien of Marinette by forming her face wherever he is looking. Once per day is enough.' Coco feels like she is on a roll with this, the ideas coming together quite nicely.
+
The other mermaid raises her eyebrows as she detaches herself from Coco’s embrace, but nonetheless reserves her a smile. “How did it happen… Well, your name, what was it?” Rina asks, her tone fairly neutral.

'The next idea is something I have already worked with Marinette somewhat: I will tip the fashion club that Adrien is a famous model and let them organise a fashion contest. It's good publicity for both. I just have to inform Marinette so she can take part in it and show him her strong points even more', she says to bring Cora up to date.
+
“Oh, it’s Coco”, she replies, caught by surprise by the other mermaid’s demeanour. She has probably been a little overeager there. “The Dark Lover Eril messed up. She had inadvertently let Hippo in and he was able to take the Sealing Key from her and free me.

'That's marvelous, princess', yawns Cora in a not-quite-present tone still. She knows Coco is already flaming now, in a semi-literal sense, the otter already sensitive to the burning aura that surrounds the girl in these matters.
+
Rina bites her lips, an anxious look showing up on her face. “And Noel? Where is she?” she asks. “Her kingdom is still deserted. What happened there?”

"That's not all, though: when Marinette and Adrien are spending time around, I will have a few mermaids from the South Pacific around, casually remarking that they look like a lovely couple loud enough for them to hear.'
+
“I am sorry, Rina”, Coco hesitates to say. “The Black Beauty Sisters attacked us before we could save her. We were barely able to make our escape.

'If you are employing your citizens for this, wouldn't it be better to ask an actual fortune teller from the oyster fairies?' suggests Cora, opening her eyes to look at the princess of the South Pacific.
+
The green mermaid shakes her head at the news. “She can’t seriously still be there… Why?” she sighs. “It was stupid of me to let my hopes up. I thought that since you are here, maybe she would have been free too.

'It's not a bad idea to have a professional on the case', Coco agrees. 'But I will have to stress she is supposed to push them together, not separate them.'
+
A slow nod comes from Coco. “I am sorry, we really tried but there was nothing we could do. They had caught us by surprise and taken the Key back. We should have been more aware of our surroundings.

'The last step would involve you', Coco adds, diverting her gaze from the sheet of paper to the now fully awake otter. 'I intend to organise a scavenger hunt, making sure Marinette and Adrien participate. Your part would be to disseminate clues I give you when Adrien and Marinette pass by to lead them to a place where they can be together. The Botanical Garden has the perfect atmosphere for this. It even has some beautiful Koi fish that can act playful to help ease Marinette. Would you be willing to do it?', Coco asks Cora.
+
Rina looks at her, the saddened look she is sporting being as clear as the limpid water around them. “Now I doubt we can try that again. But you have been in Gaito’s castle. Could you find your way around it?

'Yes, princess. But get me some salmon, would you?' Cora asks, feeling invigorated enough to eat something.
+
Coco blinks slowly at the other mermaid’s question. Finding her way back there… That’s something she will have to do eventually, she thinks with a small shudder. “I wouldn’t say I can. I have been able to move around once, and Hippo and I were being chased by the Black Beauty Sisters.

'Sure thing!', Coco replies enthusiastically, writing down the last sequence and setting a title on top of the page: "Adrie-nette Get-Together Glamour Plan."
+
Will Rina perceive she really didn’t mean to leave Noel behind? Keeping her hopes and doubts for herself, Coco continues. “I’m sorry for having been unable to help her, Rina. I have no intentions to leave things like that. We will save her”, she ends with a resolute promise, clasping the green mermaid’s hands in hers.

Rina is at first dismayed at what Coco is saying, but the promise the yellow princess helps turn her impression around. She doesn’t perceive any insincerity in her words at least. “Eh, I will hold you to that”, she says in a pleased tone. There is still hope for Noel after all.

Synopsis: An unexpected meeting off the coast of Tokyo ensues after Coco receives a letter entrusted to her attendands.
Cast of Characters: Coco Kiumi

The bay of Tokyo is a very calm place: unlike the frenetic activity of the city, there is nobody to disturb the quiet currents of the sea. It is a good place to relax, especially on the days immediately following failed plans of her enemies.

Nonetheless, today Coco isn’t here to find peace and quiet, but rather a messenger from her kingdom had visited her to inform her she had been requested, with a letter given for her due to Coco’s absence.
