Dia de los Zombis Hambarguesas
Date of Scene: 01 November 2025
Location: Mitakihara Ward
Synopsis: It is four in the morning, and the heroes have Had It Up To Here. They end the hamburger zombie menace once and for all, and then rain down so much aggro on Corona that Glimmer has to come rescue her :D
Cast of Characters: Mai Elcamino, Madoka Kaname, Amanda Faust, Chrono Harlaown, Rei Hino, Coco Kiumi, Usagi Tsukino, Glimmer Brightmoon
Tinyplot: Hamburger Zombies

Mai Elcamino has posed:
It's roughly four in the morning now -- people who were out doing other things and fighting Luisi and nightmares have had a chance to rest, but the hamburger zombie curse is still spreading.

Mostly. There are going to be a lot of exhausted hungry dehydrated people once these crowds are purified, and right now it's mostly people who got bit later in the day, night workers, and teenagers with who can pull all-nighters without melting the next day. Everyone else is still around but some people are unconscious where they sit or lie down, thoroughly worn out from a day of zombie-ing around.

Mai Elcamino, Corona la del Obsidian, stands soaking wet, freezing cold, and cackling in spiteful pride on a tall thing in downtown Mitakihara, looking up and down the streets full of unconscious or shuffling groaning people. There are seven Luisi and tens of thousands of civilians. WYD?

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Somewhere elsewhere in the city is a certain Snow Angel who is both safely purifying crowds of non-combatants while also being a bit of a wet blanket for Mai's particular brand of fun. Hopefully no one objects too much to snow on Halloween.

(Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow~.)

Meanwhile in the here and now, Homura has managed to get in touch with Madoka, and the pink girl has managed to track down the Luisi who seem to be the source of the infestation. Hope Blossom and Homura are standing on the edge of a rooftop, looking down at the milling burger-hungry crowds. "Is that the one?" asks Madoka.

Homura nods. "Yeah. I couldn't shoot them because they're normies, and I couldn't shoot Luis because he multiplies on Impact. Burning him wasn't an option either because the fire could spread. Apparently Wako could purify them, so I was hoping you could..."

Madoka smiles, touches Homura's hand, and says, "If you can't fight, then leave it to me. Look for an opening if you can, okay? Burning might still be an option."

Homura squeezes Madoka's hand, and then steps back. "Just be careful, okay? They managed to bite Sugata and he turned. I don't know what I'll do if our purifiers get infected, too."

Madoka sheepishly chuckles. "Eheh. Well. I'll just have to be careful. Wish me luck!"

Hope Blossom leaps from the roof top to the top of a lamp post, jumping from high point to high point as she tries to get closer to the Luisi. They multiply on impact, but what about trapping? She fires a volley at one of the Luisi, but the arrows don't strike him. They try to strike the ground around him, sticking up like spears and restricting his movement.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Why. Why does she have to be awake.

Amy got a nap at least, before being roused to help with the continuing zombie cleanup. She got some coffee or tea from somewhere, and eventually realized she was still in the ragged costume from fighting the mimic train, and still looked a mess, and then fire washed over her leaving her in her usual outfit and her hair only moderately mussed.

So now she's on a building as they plan. She walks up to Homura and holds out some kind of grenade. "If you manage to get one of the, the actual-zombie ones away from the crowd, this worked pretty well. Just have someone hit it with fire or plasma magic."

Amy turns and pulls binoculars from a belt pouch to look over the crowd, and the youma, and... "...Has she been up all this time? Is she okay? I can't tell if that's villain laughter or I've-been-awake-for-almost-24-hours laughter."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown had been doing what he could, flying about the city. Being, well... support, namely. Attacking people wasn't very useful. Hurting the innocents wouldn't do much good. He didn't want to risk the 'zombies' as he hoped there was still a cure...

So he'd been, more or less, attempting to assist where he could. And he was mentally, physically and...

... Okay, let's be honest.

He was *spiritually* exhausted. He didn't think he could be, but by whatever spiritual energy he had, it was *gone*.

Whatever lost logia of a planet this entire place WAS...

He'd regained a little bit when he'd stopped on a lamppost near the school and watched a crowd of zombies led by a strange woman in a leather jacket, singing 'You know it's thriller! Thriller night! You're fighting for your life!'

But as amusing as that had been, he'd had to quickly flee before he could end up getting bit.

And then, finally... << Is she the source of... of this? >> Chrono's voice would echo in Hope Blossom's head, the exhaustion clear even in the tone. However, despite the bags under his eyes... He still kept that trademark 'Everything is going to be okay' TSAB smile on his face.

"You're fighting for your life!" Hinoiri's voice can be heard a few blocks away.

Rei Hino has posed:
Ity is 4am in Tokyo now, and Rei Hino - also, Sailor Mars - is currently very glad that thanks to her magic, she does not have to manually write every ofuda talisman she has thrown at something in the last few hours, because there are currently a LOT of people who are going to be waking up confused with said talismans attached to their foreheads. Primarily in an area around Hikawa Shrine.

Sailor Mars bounds from rooftop to rooftop, occasionally trying to blunt the worst of the infection, but this is going nowhere. It's 4am and she's tired. She takes a break to close her eyes and try to get *some* guidance before heading to what she feels - and hopes - is the center of the outbreak. She arrives to see Hope Blossom, Chrono, and Amy, and her hair is a little frazzled and she's lost some of her trademark calm. "Someone please tell me who I need to kick to fix this so that I can go to bed." she calls out to the other Mahou.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
4am is definitely on the early side of the morning, and hamburger zombies have had a lot of times to be rescued and wreak havoc both, but Coco missed most of it, busy as she was trying to locate the Spiral Shell in the Indian Ocean. No luck so far, but by exclusion, she was definitely making progress.

"Could you repeat it to me again?", the blonde girl asks Hippo as soon as she comes back from her search, stopped on the way to her bedroom.

"Do we really have the time for that?", the penguin protests, squinting at the mermaid. "No, no, we don't", she agrees, turning around right then. "I will be right back after bringing out a clean city, don't worry", she winks at him.

Curving her hands in a vague x-shape around her shell locket, yellow light radiates in around Coco, and a kaleidoscope of colour flourishes over her form.

"Yellow Pearl Voice!" The rainbow energy glimmers and clings, warping into pale yellow boots that flow into overlapping fabric. Rising up, a golden yellow dress and a short yellow pleated skirt blossom onto her and her pearl gleams and expands, settling comfily into her hand as her trusty E-Pitch microphone, with the yellow jewel nestled safely in the head's center.

Enveloped by the radiance of the Live Stage, the idol of the seas makes her way to where she feels the highest concentration of dark energy, carried by the sphere of light, which stops just besides Corona.

"You must be really proud of yourself. Tell me, how'd you do it?", Coco asks at her arrival, her voice slightly amplified by the proximity of her E-Pitch close to her mouth.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Sailor Moon crawled into bed in her dorm with her husband and made her future daughter come home and went to bed. She was asleep. She was asleep.

And now she's here, and all because Luna WOKE HER UP because Rei-chan's CROWS woke HER UP and now she's not asleep, and she had to leave Mamoru and Chibiusa in her bed and it's cold and even if her henshin keeps her warm, she was asleep.

"I have been trick or treating with an eight(?) year old, been a zombie, been thrown out of Kyoto, fought my way through a literal train from Kyoto, and now I am here." The words are said with a sort of restrained manic energy, calm but not at all, and the way she's holding the Moon Scepter suggests she really, really wants to use it as a melee weapon. "Mars-chan, I'm going to bite you."

A beat.

"Not because I'm a zombie. Because I definitely can't catch Deimos and Phobos. This is twenty-five percent your fault."

Is that fair? No.

Is it true? Also no.

"Can we just... can I just..."

And then she swings the Moon Scepter and just blasts beams of light down on Mai and the Luises.

"Moon Princess Halation!"

Mai Elcamino has posed:
Looks like Madoka is on to something -- when Hope Blossom shoots a cage of arrows around one of the Luisi, the seven-foot-tall guy with a handlebar moustache wails "HAMBARGAR?" and starts pulling the arrows up one at a time. And then hissing and pulling his hand back because of the Hope Energy the arrows are made of. And then going in to try again. It keeps him occupied and not looking for another victim!

It's definitely both villain and up-too-long laughter. Mai is laughing uproariously, her manic grin drunk on what a mess she's made of everyone's day. She saunters a step forward on her tall thing, big purple-gradient energy wings spread out on her back, keeping her balance in those heels on that-- what even is that, is it a railing? Anyway whatever she's standing precariously on, she's loose-limbed and her wings flutter and she rounds on Yellow Pearl Voice--

--but the idol isn't attacking her, she's asking her for her master plan. "Santeria," Corona says proudly. "Learned from my governess. And secret ingredients, dark energy and standard youma creation procedure. Now leav--"

MOON PRINCESS HALATION.

So-- two of seven Luisi are gone, leaving five, one of whom is very occupied with busywork. Gone? The wave of sparkling light just... erases two Luisi, and makes around twenty civilians either pass out or come to themselves, which means all of a sudden there are also civilians screaming and crying. It also Makes Mai Laugh, because the light breaks over her shield, which glitters purple very prettily when the sparkling motes of purification impact...

"Luis, mi amor, date una palmadita en la espalda~" she calls out, her voice getting a little shrill even as she tries to make it sound sweet.

Two Luisi start backpatting each other, which now means there are not five Luisi anymore. Now there are seven. Nine. Eleven--

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Homura glances down at the offered grenade, and then up to Amy. "Is this an incendiary? I hope you realize that fragmentary grenades are no good here. Otherwise I would've opened with that." Then, after a moment's hesitation, she takes the offered explosive, hoping that a magic one might be slightly less dangerous than an enchanted mundane one. She frowns at it, because she's not familiar with it, but who knows? Maybe it'll be useful.

Hope Concept responds to Chrono, << According to Homura-chan, that enemy Devicer is the dark general in charge, but those especially tall zombies seem to be the youma. Apparently they multiply on impact, so be careful how you attack them.>>

On cue, the Luisi start backpatting each other and multiplying that way. Homura's mouth is agape as she yells out, "That's cheating!"

Madoka notices the halation, and realizes that maybe there's a hope to this after all. "We have to bind them!" she calls out, and even though she has her own purification abilities... it'll be easier once they can stop the Luis Zombies. She hops over to the backpatters, setting down in front of them, raising a hand and striking a pose, "Hope Garden!"

Multiple branchbows appear and weave around each other, trying to wrap around the Luisi and hold them down. Especially their hands! If all that magic wood ends up being kindling, then all the better.

Speaking of fire, Homura activates her henshin as she walks up to the Luis trapped by Madoka's arrows. From within her shield she produces a flamethrower, takes the time to put the fuel tank on her back, aims at the zombie and shoots fire. Short controlled bursts, but still... all that flame is probably not helping with the growing panic.

Rei Hino has posed:
"Sory, Moon-chan, but I think there's been enough biting in Tokyo for this halloween." Mars yells back. Then she witnesses all that's going on and nods firmly. "Right, okay, first we get the clone legion out of the way and then I can light Telemundo over there on fire and then I can rest GOT IT." she says with a sort of manic flare of her own, eyes wide open. Usagi starts purifying the Luis, and that works well, but then there are more of them? "Oh no WE ARE ENDING THIS RIGHT NOW." Sailor Mars says. "I'm gonna try to knock them out then we can hit them all at once maybe I DON'T KNOW."

"Evil spirits, BEGONE ALREADY." she yells as she throws out even more ofuda and tries not to think about where all the paper comes from. But she's trying to put Luisis out on the ground without causing more of them to exist. Maybe. Hopefully.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown stared at the woman. Blink blink. Blink. He was... "Ah. Ahem... HEY! YOU! I am Space Time Bureau Enforcer Harlaown Enforcer Administrative Enforcer Chrono Harlaown!" he called, holding up his ID hologram. "Please desist your... illegal... possession... and... manipulation and re-animation of meat-based... byproducts and zombification of civilions on this--"

"Thriller night!"

"That," Chrono called out.

He had been up *too long*.

"If you agree to these terms, throw down your device and you will be granted a hearing before a TSBA council and a hearing with a support will be granted to you, otherwise we will be forced to use persistant magical force until you stop being a dumba-- stop being a threat to the people of this world!"

Far, far, far too long. Too many lost logia.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy answers Homura, "It's magic. All heat no impact. But I haven't figured out how to make it work well without someone else's magic helping."

Luis, my love... what are the rest of those words?!

Amy actually screams out, "HEEEEY! THAT'S CHEATING!" When the Luisi start multiplying eachother.

But she's kind of stuck standing there impotently. She can't shoot them, she can't burn them with people around... she doesn't have some kind of net grenades or something!

But... Some of the crowd were purified... "That's it!" Amy leaps down and runs over. "Purify the people and get them out of the area, and then we can burn them! The zombies I mean!"

She waves her arms, "Everybody who's awake, get clear! C'mon!" Except some of them are asleep or exhausted...

Chrono gfives an ultimatum. Amy looks over at him. "Hey, don't you have binding spells that could stop the big zombies?"

Coco Kiumi has posed:
"Why should I go? I like it here. There are all of my friends. See, that one over there is Hope Blossom, she has an army of Chara and a sweet girlfriend, and cares lots about all of them. The guy is a Device Mage just like you, but he is really straightforward and honest, unlike you, and is really dependable, unlike you." She starts pointing to them one by one.

"Then we have Sailor Moon, who has a heart so big it reaches out to space. The redhead is Puella Red, who always does her best to be prepared, no matter how weird things might be. Sailor Mars has something going on with Moon right now, but don't let that fool you, they are good friends."

"So, what do you think? Can you say the same about your army of backpatters?", Coco smiles radiantly, and the Yellow Pearl on the E-Pitch follows suit, starting to shine softly, an advance promise of the wave of purification that's going to come.

Both hands hold onto the microphone, held like a precious treasure she cherishes from the bottom of her heart. "If you brought this on with a prayer, please listen, my prayer to the stars. Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Start!"

Without even a sound, the color changes.
If you look up at the baby blue sky,
Your faraway memories will awaken.

Hey, on the other side of the seven seas,
You see, I get the feeling that someone is crying.
My heart goes "squeeze" and I feel lonely.

Save me...It's a destiny that lets me know something.
I embrace the guidance of the stars to my heart.

That's the Ever Blue sparkle of the ocean I love.
I now gather the power to protect the future in my hands.
There is a lovable person, and there is a lovable place.
In order to protect the sparkling blueness and my pure feelings the way they are.

The wave of purification washes out from Coco, carrying that brilliance that spreads peace and lifts the spirits of those who believe in it. The same purification clashes against the darkness, and the song will hurt if it manages to break through.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
The civilians start screaming as they're purified, running around in a panic as they realize that they're in a terrible situation, and it's so late, and the noise is jarringly unexpected, and Sailor Moon blinks, a couple of times actually, eyes heavy and tired and thoughts slow, until she realizes...

"Wait, are we not in a barrier?"

Two and two made four, only, she can't believe she's the first person to get to four, so, she looks around, disbelieving, and realizes that no, yep, that's right, no one's put up a barrier -

The Luises start multiplying.

"Absolutely Not. No! It's over! We're not doing this! No more Zombie Plague!!!"

She would throw her rod at Mai for being so annoying but there are more important things to do."

"Moon Space Crystalize!"

The world warps around them, buildings wrapped in present wrapping or stacked like boxes, some of them taking on silhouetted looks with shaped cut outs, windows shifting about in the shapes of stars and crescent moons and hearts. A great blimp floats through the watercolor sky, a gradient of purple and blue. It's not corrupt and awful the way it was earlier and the Earth is full and heavy and textured like buttercream in the sky. Sailor Moon staggers, having created her barrier twice in a single night on top of everything else that's been going on.

All civilians who have been purified vanished, back in the real world instead of shunted to the dimension left.

Mai Elcamino has posed:
"--oh that is so cute! A crush on me, Corona-- stammering your words so-- you aren't good enough for me, but it's true that I am very beautiful," Corona calls to Chrono, "but I will not go easy on you just because you have made up some sort of police force to cospl--"

<< ding~! >> << MISTRESS~! THE TIME-SPACE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU IS UNFORTUNATELY AN EXTANT EXTRATERRESTRIAL ORGANIZATION-- >>

"Pelotillero, shut up."

<< ding~! >> <<YES, MISTRESS~! >>

Madoka is calling forth the living garden of her power to trap and bind the Luisi, who begin to struggle sort of pathetically in the growing cages, patiently desperately working on biting the cages open and going ow peh when it hurts their mouths. One of them starts banging his head against the wall of the garden cage, which... starts filling the cage up, and the others notice what he's doing and they start doing the same thing. The cage really starts filling up.

Homura's flamethrower teaches our heroes and the groaning hamburger zombies and screaming purified civilians that Luisi can scream too, and he screams "HAAAAMBAAAAARGAAAARRRR-*" as he burns swiftly to ash and pffts away. Mai frowns.

Mai frowns harder, even as Rei starts ofuda-ing the Luisi that aren't caged. Each one she gets vanishes in a puff of dark energy and the wiggling of a concerned handlebar moustache, but depending on how lightly she does it, sometimes there's another one standing in its place.

Mai frowns REALLY REALLY REALLY hard when Sailor Moon calls up her barrier. "Also, Pelotillero, DO NOT LET THIS-- 'Moon', yes?" she glances uncertainly at Coco, then looks back out and glares at Sailor Moon, "DO NOT LET MOON FORCE HER WORLD ON ME! APEX WORLD ORDER!!"

<< ding~! >> << YES, MISTRESS~! APEX WORLD ORDER~! >>

That's when Corona's barrier unfolds inside Moon Space and fights it out, purple-black edges leaking out into the watercolor citymoonscape and forcing a retro-futuristic vibe and slick purple-black streamlined digital light visuals on it. Purple glow. It's not ugly but it doesn't look right.

It's still Moon Space... it just isn't wholly Sailor Moon's anymore, right now. Mai sneers. "My barrier is more beautiful than your barrier," she says, and apparently that is literally-- that's her whole-- that's what she's risked dividing by zero for.

She turns to Coco-- pauses to look over her shoulder at Amy and Homura, and laugh loudly at their cries of cheating. "I'm a villain, are you stupid? Of course I cheat. Ahahahaha!"

Then she turns back to Coco and Coco's starting to sing and it hurts, it claws at the sickly oozing dark energy hardening around what passes for Corona's heart, and Corona's eyes widen. She claps her hands over her ears and shrieks, "PELOTILLERO! APEX ANNOYANCE!!"

<< ding~! >> << APEX ANNOYANCE~! >>

Six little sets of two flat discs, one on top of each other like a colon, go winging out to circle a wide area, encompassing all the heroes, and then start vibrating like a 2003 Nokia phone is trying to drop the bass, emitting a wildly awful aural hellscape. The noise is something like 'vee vee zee zee vee vee zee zee' but in discordant pitches with a saw waveform and it's getting louder and louder and louder, like an electronic audio feedback loop. Mai is cackling again. It's hard to tell what's more annoying.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
<<I am so tired that I can taste colors,>> Sailor Moon shares over Chrono's telepathy spell. <<Can we just - what is she doing-!>>

The last time someone opened a barrier in her Moon Space there was a horrific nightmare Luna bus and lava and the world was horrible and she remembers that, it's the last thing New Moon saw before she was purified -

The world changes, purple retro-futuristic glow spreading over her pastel paradise, the Earth in the sky taking on a cybernetic grid effect, and Sailor Moon scowls and snaps back, cranky and tired and pissed because somehow this isn't taking half the load off -

"Yeah, well YOUR barrier isn't even as strong as PAGE MAGE'S, because when SHE tried that, she made a bigger impact! Sucks to suck loser!"

Usually she's so much nicer than this but she's so tired and she's so drained and she can't afford to just use her magic willy-nilly because she's tired but - forget it! The Luises are multiplying! What if they break out of their cage? What if they flood everything and they start biting again!? There's too much at stake!

She goes for something weaker but more wide-spread - a golden circle carved in the air by the Crescent Wand.

"Moon Healing Escalation!"

Amanda Faust has posed:
"Are barriers supposed to be about beauty...?" Amy wonders what her own actually looks like, she has only Hinoiri's brief description to go on. It's probably not beautiful, though...

Of course I cheat!
"Yeah, that's fair." No it isn't, Amy!

She making her way over to the Luisi Madoka has trapped, wondering if they'll burn away before the branches do, when "AAAAH!" She covers her ears, "WHAT IS THAT?!" Her helmet appears on her head, but it only does so much.

Amy's drawn her gyrojet pistol and started shooting wildly at Mai. Even with her focus disrupted as it is, they can manage to home in on a human-size target at medium range at least some of the time. "Quit it, shut it up!"

Then she tries throwing grenades at the discs -- they go off in the air instead of on a timer or anything because they're magic and she wants them to.

Rei Hino has posed:
Sailor Mars looks at Homura and the now-ashed Luis swarms and her face faults. "You mean the whole time I could have just been burning them? I was doing the ofuda because of the others but THIS IS GOING TO BE EASIER AND MORE CATHARTIC." she says.

She puts her fingers together and aims at one of the too-full chages of Luisi. An ember of flame forms which is detined to become a giant storm of angry fire, powered by a way-too-sleepy Sailor Mars, as she tries to evict a group of them from existence, the one least likely to be hit by the Escalation due to range or angle. "FIRE.... SOUL..!"

She unleashes it before the horrible noise forces her to shove her hands over her ears. "Agh I AM SO GOING TO ENJOY PUNCHING YOU LADY." Mars yells as she leans against a wall and hopes that someone can Make That Stop, Too.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Madoka has caged the Luisi! Yay!

    They stopped multiplying. Yay!

They are hitting their heads against the bars. Um...

That's helping them multiply again. Oh no!

There's a Moon Space! Yay! There's another Barrier...

    ... Oh shoot!

Hope Blossom goes through a whole range of emotions as she tries to keep the Luisi contained. Fortunately Moon is helping to purify them with magic! And also Mars is purifying them with fire. Homura jumps over next to the Hope Garden and also adds to the magic fire.

The wood does burn, but it's being replaced with more wood, which also burns. As smoke fills the air, Hope Blossom is at least quietly happy that the civilians are vanishing the moment they get purified.

When she looks up at the stacked barrier, she's... not really sure how she feels. "Why does it look like vaporwave?"

Homura glances up, then turns her attention back to the pyre. "Don't worry about it."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown just stared at Corona.

He just... He hadn't even stammered, first of all. Second of all... He didn't even... He slowly reached up a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose. He could feel it. He could feel the headache. It grew. It was growing so fast. He was already on hour like... What. He glanced towards the corner of his vision. Since 11am when this mess started? He'd been lucky enough to not be immediately caught on, but he was also an early waker. He'd been up for over 24 hours. But it wasn't the first time he'd been on a mission for 24 hours.

But on this planet. On this. Stupid. Lost. Logia of a world.

And no, he had not set up a barrier. Because everything was chaos and there was so much going on and he admittedly was worried about what would happen were people to become purified and then knocked out of the barrier at an inopportune time.

And he was so tired. This world. These people. These people. This woman.

"YOU!"

And then, finally, it clicked.

He knew who this woman was. He knew *exactly* who this woman was.

Ohhhh. Rashmi had told him about this woman. May Godaka have mercy on her soul.

That smile fell off his face. "I see. So you don't know who the TSAB is. Very well. Allow me to inform you. We are an interdimensional organization focused on protecting worlds from the misuse of magic and lost logia. This world is, seemingly, the mother of all lost logia."

He was still not smiling.

"We are not a police force, madam. We are not cosplay. And I do not do crushes. As my warning has been ignored, I will engage you with that in mind. And..." Deep breath.

"And as you have decided to continue to be the most *infuriating* pain in *everyone's* backside on this evening... know that I will only step in to safeguard your life once I am sure the threat has been neutralized."

Okay? Not exactly the most ominous of threats, to be fair.

            <<Stinger Blade Execution Shift>>

The sky, or the strange... 80's watercolor and retro-futuristic vibe of a sky suddenly being filled with hundreds of glowing blue swords? That. That was a much bigger threat.

"Please have a nice day."

The swords rotated with a rather ominous *thunking* and *clicking* sound. Those who had seen this attack had likely never heard it make... that... sound before.

Before they rained down like a thunderstorm of destruction, lines of piercing blue, coming down on those flat disks and... more importantly, *her*.

Mai Elcamino has posed:
Each one of the sets of vibrating discs that gets taken out by Amy's grenades both

a) stops the noise from interfering with Coco's song so much, and
b) exponentially decreases the aural hellscape's decibel level.

The song is slowly lulling hamburger zombies into civilians into not being in the barrier anymore, and they disappear more frequently as Apex Annoyance gets quieter and quieter, and Mai still has her hands over her ears, keeping Coco's song out of her hearing, keeping it from leaching the dark energy from her that she's trying to hard to hold on to. She literally high-kicks the outside of Coco's bubble from the other side of her own bubble, which is like... about as effective a kick as a very close light shot in a game of pool. The Live Stage drifts away from Corona a little bit and Corona seethes. She seethes!

"WHO THE HELL IS PAGE MAGE!" she yells at Sailor Moon, and then Sailor Moon takes out a cage full of Homura's burning Luisi and also fully three quarters of the groaning zombies who like... do keep trying to bite our heroes, but that's so low key and so much purification is in the air that it just doesn't take, but god, so many goddamn mouths. So many!

Mai says, disgustedly, "U G H," and then she lifts off the tall thing to hover in the air, seraphic wings slowly waving behind her and also on her hat which has dried off. "You're all SO ANNOYING--"

Rei's Fire Soul is even angrier than Homura's and Amy's incendiary prowess, and it ashes a cage of Luisi, dust taking to the air or falling where it is.

"--and you can all just-- GO TO HELL!" All the civilians nearby have all vanished, but Corona is a bitch, so as Chrono is lecturing her she starts talking over him, then yelling over him as he inevitably raises his own voice, and oh god it's an incantation, an incantation in Spanish, it's lasers-charging, it's calling upon the strength of her mother and the power of her father and probably all the saints and angels by name, and then--

--she's too late. Even though she goes quicker and quicker toward the end and Pelotillero starts pinging like cooling metal, she's too late, and her shield had already taken damage, and her Aria is interrupted, and there's a hail of hellblades raining down on her, and suddenly the Apex Annoyance is completely silent and it's so quiet except for Corona's wild laughter and the sound of Stinger Blade Execution Shift-- and then a scream, and a kirakira of purple light as Corona's shield shatters and she tries to fly away, already starting to bleed, barrier jacket torn in multiple places.

"PELOTILLERO!" she cries out, "duskport duskport DUSKPORT DUSKPORT--"

<< ding~! >> << YES, MISTRESS~! >>

The spell's charging. It's charging. Mai ducks inside a bus shelter.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
The Luisi are dying. The burning cages are empty. Purification spells are pushing the non-combatants out of the Barrier/Moon Space and with each civilian that vanishes Homura breathes a little bit more easily. Even moreso when Mai's barrier drops and returns them all to Moon Space. As Corona starts to panic, the raven-haired Puella squints at her and says, "And where do you think you're going?"

Because she hasn't used it yet, Homura throws Amy's incendiary grenade at the dark general.

As for Hope Blossom, she's actually pretty mad about this, which is a lot considering that it's her. She's getting into position, hopping closer to the bus shelter as she frowns at Corona. "Don't you think you've done enough? A zombie apocalypse is too far, especially over a broken nail."

Her tone is lecturing, like a disappointed parent. She is still a teenager, by the way.

Her hands make a heart shape over the pearlescent locket hanging from her neck. "Negative Heart: Lock on!" There's no question whose negative heart she means. "Open Heart!" As Madoka thrusts her hands forward, she floods the air with rainbow light, focusing most of the purifying power onto the Devicer whose fault this all is.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Who is Page Mage?

"A wonderful and delightful mage," Chrono said under his breath, twirling his rod before lowering it back to his side.

Girl, let me tell you what I think of your...

But he had to bite his tongue and NOT say the words that he wanted to say. He was tired. But the girl was leaving. He was so... so tired. He wanted to grab his Rashmi. He wanted to take her off this planet. He wanted to take her to a world where there was like. One. One lost logia incident a month. TOPS. ONE! Instead, he glanced about. At the living lost logia he worked with.

And just... sighed.

He loved this planet. But sometimes... He was just... just so tired... And then... His device had a pop up.

"Oh hell no. I am *skipping* PT today..."

"... Did you say this was over a **BROKEN NAIL?!**"

YOU KNOW WHAT? THAT WAS IT. THAT WAS THE BREAKING POINT! HE'D SIGN HIMSELF UP FOR A DISCIPLINARY HEARING LATER!

            << Bind! >>

And a single bind would open under the woman's foot. Trapping it. Just for a moment. Just to help her *eat* her comeuppance flakes.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
The purification takes so much out of Sailor Moon that she's wobbling, the edges of her gloves and boots beginning to turn back to ribbons. Still, the Luises are popping and the civilians are disappearing and fire is rampaging merrily through the vaporwave barriynth that's more barrier than usual, and this is fine -

The entire sky is swords and they are falling on Corona, who has a broken shield and is fleeing for her little life and it's more than fine, this is finally over, Usagi can turn around and go home -

A zombie apocalypse is too far, especially over a broken nail.

Her eye twitches. Her eye twitches. Her henshin twitches.

Her tiara twitches right into nonexistence, as without so much as intending it her Sailor Fuku bursts into a million layers of fabric as Sailor Moon becomes Princess Serenity of the Silver Millennium, the crescent moon glowing on her forehead, the quarter moon in the sky seeming to take on even more radiance, and oh yes, her skin is glowing, her Moon Sceptors is growing too its full, staff length, and her blue eyes blaze with all the endless depths of the universe.

"You did all this... for a broken nail?" Her sweet voice is cold and angry, words falling slowly and then quickly, a meteor shower breaking out over Earth. "You ruined everyone's day for a broken nail that you could have gotten fixed in fifteen minutes? I spent half the night as a zombie, YOU spent half the night as a zombie, MY DAUGHTER HAD TO RUN AWAY FROM ZOMBIES INSTEAD OF HAVING FUN WITH HER FRIENDS-"

Her voice rose to a shriek that threatened to shatter glass, and then drops just as quickly, normal volume, almost deafening in the new silence.

"All because you broke a nail?"

The scepter is pointed at the bus shelter.

They're inside Moon Space. This is Usagi's world.

The bus shelter immediately dissipates into a cloud of bubbles, leaving Corona exposed.

"Moon Princess Halation!"

Amanda Faust has posed:
and you can all just GO TO HELL!

"WE HAVE BEEN THERE FOR THE PAST... I DUNNO LIKE EIGHTEEN HOURS!"

Mai is preparing some kind of laser spell. Amy throws a smoke bomb between Corona and Chrono, but then the spell is interrupted and that's less of a concern.

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH! -- Are you trying to HIDE?!"

Amy shoulders a recoilless rifle and fires a high-explosive shell to blow up whatever Moon Space has turned the wall of the bus shelter into. And then she's holding a oneshot missile launcher and FWOOSH! Fires, uh.

The missile just kind of sticks there in moonspace-ground next to Corona, leaving her to wonder when it's going to go off.

Amy looks shocked at Madoka and screeches, "THIS WAS OVER A BROKEN NAIL?!"

(The missile finally goes off when the other finishers do, again helping shape the magic into a fireball, although not as overcharged as the one at the academy earlier was.)

Rei Hino has posed:
Sailor Mars is the soldier of Love and Passion - and right now she passionately wishes she was in bed asleep, after fending off hordes of hamburger-seeking zombie civlians for hours. And the fact that she isn't is Mai's fault. And maybe a few hours ago she would have said something more snappy about Mai running away and left it at that, but instead, as the woman starts to high-tail it out, the Red Soldier points her left hand's two fingers into the sky, creating a trail of angry flame that follows her in a circle.

Eventually the trail of fire condenses into eight individual fireballs. "Oh you think you can just run after you kept me up all day chasing down your stupid zombies and then threatened to burst my eardrums, AND ANNOYED ALL MY FRIENDS TOO?! HELL NO." Sailor Mars yells, the fireballs collected around her, and then she brings both hands forward. "Burning... Mandala!" she calls before all of the fireballs try to collapse in on Mai.

Seeing Sailor Moon become Princess Serenity only reaffirms Sailor Mars' decision to not let this woman off this or any hook. "GONNA BREAK A LOT MORE THAN A NAIL NOW AREN'TCHA!"

Coco Kiumi has posed:
The newly made barrier world from the conflic with it shining so brightly that if she didn't know better she would have said it had always been that way. Maybe the influence of her creator is just that strong that it even shows when dark energy warps the space.

The song Coco has been singing warps and clashes against those vibrating discs. There is a feeling like her stomach flipped upside down when the sound infected by dark energy reaches her ears, but it is kept at bay just long enough, maintained in the background like an everpresent fog that presses in.

She is still squirming from the bothersome influence, and would consider sending a Live Stage crashing against them, but before she can muster enough concentration, Red comes to relieve her from that struggle and Coco gives her a thankful smile.

The revelation by Hope Blossom has Coco as floored as Red, and lines appears on her forehead. "She... really... what?" she stares confused at the goddess and the dark general both.

"Why would you do that? Wouldn't have you had an easier time fixing it instead of using your magic on this?", she comments glaring at the latter. "Let's just... We will pack it away. Please think next time." Though she is not sure Corona is capable of self-reflection.

The Yellow Mermaid Princess raises her right arm and calls out within herself Aqua Regina's blessing, the bracelet on her wrist shining with white radiance as a halo of yellow light moves downwards from the mermaid princess's head and her clothes change again.

Her left glove now adheres to her arm with a pattern made up of water ripples, while on her left leg a stocking has shown up with the same water ripple pattern, and on her right hand and on her legs a yellow glove and boots with flowy extensions show up.

Bathed in a golden glow, rhythmic pulses of light that give a warm embrace to the pain, soothe all the fatigue and push away the darkness.

"Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Finale!", the mermaid princess smiles gently.

At the apex of the song, purifying hearts fly out in all directions, the reach of a big circle of love that won't end. "Fine Heart Pitch!", she concludes the performance with a serene smile, extremely strong purification burning the dark energy and the one that holds it.

Love and loss I truly know them well
To love the lost I would break through hell

All my love across an amber sky
Looking right at all the ways you shine
All I have is you, my everything
Our bond beyond seven seas
All my love across the darkest night
Waiting just ahead to be your guide
All I have is you, my everything
Our bond beyond seven seas
Our bond beyond seven seas
Our bond is every part of me
My pearl

Mai Elcamino has posed:
She's in the bus shelter and they're all-- objecting to her, and her Luisi are gone, and they've purified the last of her zombies, and her DUSKPORT SPELL ISN'T READY YET, and she backs into the back corner of the bus shelter with her hands out in front of her, and she-- she resists-- she can't resist-- she screams, "PELOTILLERO! HELP!"

<< ding~! >> << AT ONCE, MISTRESS~! >> And there is the sound of a telephone ringing.

"THIS IS NOT PHONE A FRIEND YOU--" Corona roars at her own Device, and then the attacks start. She bites her lip to keep from screaming at the purification as she holds on, she holds ON, she screams and she's bleeding from where she bit her lip, and her shredded barrier jacket shows red as well as skin beneath from Chrono's swords, but she's defiant even as her mascara runs like Brave Sir Robin.

She's defiant until she's VERY SURPRISED because the bus shelter she was using as, well, a shelter, and also something to lean against, is suddenly Not There-- she almost catches her balance, even in her stiletto bootlets, but Chrono pettily calls out a magical cuff around Mai's ankle and she goes down like a ton of bricks onto the spongy ground, smacking her face and sending her hat winging (hahaha) away. She rolls on her side, crying in furious pain as she makes her way back to her feet. "iBrujas y demonios, todos vosotros!" she spits out, unrepentant.

(Ring ring, ring ring, ring ring...)

Serenity lights into her with a righteous litany of wrongs, and Corona starts laughing, laughing, eyes wild with a mad delight. "YES! FUCK YOUR DAY--!" she yells, and then everything goes white and her voice is a keening, thin thing in the back of it as Amy's missile goes off and Burning Mandala crashes in on her and there is a PHONE RINGING and Coco's beautiful voice singing and

<< ding~! >> << YOUR ROYAL MAJESTY QUEEN GLIMMAH~! CORONA REQUESTS IMMEDIATE TRANSPORT~! LOCATION: [...] >>

The light begins to fade and there's a short girl in partially-burned clothes, half-curled on the ground crying with no gloves, wearing a shining bracelet and oh her clothes are not her barrier jacket and she is hiding her face.

Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Glimmer Brightmoon had been, well... busy. She'd been working on another spell, and it was... ahem. Not going well, to say the least. Her cauldron? Yeeeeeah... It was... less than effective. She'd been, luckily for her, spared a lot of the chaos from the last day.

So she was finally giving up and sighing. What a waste of-- Huh?

A friend was calling? A location? She blinked and waved her hand, a pink and orange Etherian circle appearing before the cauldron turned purple. She tossed in a red and blue herb, focusing on a scrying spell. Maybe--

Oh, wow. Trippy. What in the world? Ohhhh, just looking at it made her head hurt. Why--

"MAI?!" she asked. Wait, were they going to kill her?! WHAT HAPPENED?! HOW DARE!

There was a brilliant pink and orange light before an angelic(literally) cry filled the air, crashing down and through the moon barrier, piercing it from outside. Pink wings wrapped around Mai, shielding her from any further attacks, while a red figure wrapped her arms around her. "Hey, you okay?" Glimmer asked. "Come on, you're okay. Let's get you out of here, buddy. Geez, good thing you knew to phone a friend."

She glared at the sparkles for a moment. They really WERE so vicious. What in the world had them seeking blood?! What could Mai have POSSIBLY done? Ugh... She disappeared a moment later in a pink flash, she was gone...

Leaving, in Mai's wake...

A spinning gift card.

... It was to a local burger joint.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
The light pours out as a cone, pink bolts, silver blaze, and shrapnel in the form of magically conjured stars and crescent moons all fire upon Corona, purifying light threatening to burn away the depths of her darkness.

Corona didn't want to scream, but she did. She screamed 'FUCK YOUR DAY', and she then she was ravaged by purifying light, by missiles, by the burning heat of Mars' Mandala -

But Usagi Tsukino was aware of none of that, because as soon as the light of the halation fell away, the length of her dress, the shining of her skin, the silver of her hair - all of it falls away, and so does Moon Space, as Usagi Tsukino collapsed to the floor, no more energy to give and already fully asleep in her kitty-cat themed pajama set, her hair in three thick plaits not entirely unlike New Moon's look.

At least she fell down before her henshin broke, leaving no chance for Mai to catch sight of Usagi Tsukino instead of Sailor Moon or the Moon Princess.

A little snorkimimimi can be heard from her heap on the roof.

By the time Glimmer arrives, Moon Space is no more.

Rei Hino has posed:
Sailor Mars keeps her eye on Mai just long enough to make sure the attacks strike somewhere close to home. Mai is being shielded by some girl in pink she doesn't really recognize, but the threat is over, the zombies are over - and when Moon Space pops Sailor Mars knows something ELSE is over too.

So she rushes that-a-way to make sure that Usagi's position is safe (for a sleeping girl in a recent zombie apocalypse, anyways) and that Mai is gone.

"Good gods, it's over." she says. "Alright. Thank you all and normally I would do introductions and all but I'm tired and cranky so I'm gonna get this Random Unconscious Civilian home and then sleep for ten years." she says, looking to the (conscious) mahou in turn before moving to wake up and/or grab Usagi...

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Mai phones home, and Hope Blossom just watches her with annoyed, disappointed eyes. She doesn't even stop it when Glimmer comes to Mai's rescue, nor does she make any efforts to reveal the hidden face. Instead she just turns to Rei, nods, and then turns to Homrua. "I think we should go check to see if any more zombies are around. Hopefully we should be able to purify the rest, if there are any."

Homura nods, and starts walking up to Madoka. The pinkette turns to the rest of the mahoujin there with a smile and says, "Thanks for helping, everyone! It's nice to see you all again. Happy Halloween!"

Then she and her girlfriend are jumping off to go see if anyone else needs help. They will likely be sleeping in late tomorrow.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown just gave.... a light wave. "Yeah yeah great to see you... you're great..." Chrono said, his smile back. "Err, I mean. Ahem. Yes. You're great, ahem. Triage. And--"

And then he faceplanted.

And then dehenshined.

... And under his henshin uniform?

He had a second, less spiky uniform. Because he was Chrono Harlaown. And he had been up for the last 24 hours doing far, far too much.

And there was a flash of blue and red light as a lidth jay landed on his head... before turning into a very tall woman?!

"... Boss?" Fenyx asked, nudging him. Then sighed. "..." She then picked him up and put him over her shoulder like he was luggage. "I'll get him home. Thanks."

Coco Kiumi has posed:
Coco nods. This wasn't quite how she expected her comeback to Tokyo, but at least prowling a small district shouldn't be nowhere near as bad as narrowing down the search range of the Indian Ocean.

"This was so dumb. If I'd known I left you to this, I would have come back earlier", she sighs, reaching the ground. Well, all is well that ends well, I suppose*, she smiles at the others.

"But I hope you weren't treated too roughly. If you want something, I will have my phone at my side now. Happy Halloween!", she finishes saying and starts moving in the direction of the surrounding streets.

Amanda Faust has posed:
"Not a Bruja yet, and not a demon..." Amy mutters, frowning.

Her eyes widen when there's... someone else in Mai's place. "Wait, did we... make her henshin break?"

And then Glimmer, and then they're gone, and...

Amy collapses, suddenly realizing how tired and sleepy she is. "...Is it finally over? Did that end the, the, this... Night of the Zombies...?"

After this she's going to bed. People who got more sleep can finish the cleanup.

    It's over... Finally...
