Powers

Madoka's Bow: Madoka has yet to make her wish, and the exact form and nature of her powers may change somewhat depending upon what she wants to do. However, across many different timelines and alternate universes, Madoka has had one thing consistently: She has her bow. She can draw it back to fire pink arrows made of magical energy, and if she wants to she can charge it up to higher levels of power at the cost of increased magic use. She also has the ability to choose between firing one single powerful shot, or an arrow that splits into many smaller shots which rain all over the battlefield. She usually excels in a support fire role, but for many magical battles this alone can be enough.

Soul Gem: As a Puella Magi, Madoka is a bit more resilient than most, being able to take blows that would easily maim or impale a normal human being. While she can't heal nearly as fast as Sayaka, she can still eventually recover on her own, and a veteran Puella Magi can even heal others a slight amount. All of this costs magic, and that magic comes from the Soul Gem. If the Soul Gem ever breaks, runs out of magic, or becomes filled with despair, Madoka won't be long for this world. In order to recharge her Soul Gem, she must purify it with Grief Seeds, which she can only get by fighting Witches.
