- Adrien Agreste has posed:
The sun had already begun to set on the school casting the rooms within in the warm glow of fading light that cast long shadows even in the rooms still well lit with the artificial light of incadescent bulbs overhead. It was that eerie time between when school had ended but wasn't yet closed entirely. Clubs tended to meet at this time of course, but it wasn't the usual music club meeting day so that left the music room mostly empty.
Mostly, save for the blonde that currently sat at the bench of the piano. Adrien had set his messenger bag aside on one of the chairs so that it wouldn't be in the way of his practice. His phone was placed carefully on the piano itself while he played so that it could record. It never hurt to have a spare recording after all and it had been awhile since he had a good chance to make one.
As the music grows flows from fingers to keys he becomes momentarily lost in that world and blind to any who might be around.
- Zoisite has posed:
Running slightly late to music practice this time. It has become a slight issue due to him leaving in a hurry to visit Blue Spinel and making sure they had enough food and was still growing without too much trouble or dark influences. So for the past month, Izou would be the last to arrive.
Thankfully his part was a selected piece on the piano. Simpler than a cello, in his opinion, however he still didn't want to leave it to chance. He would only accept top scores for his work, especially as this was possibly his career of choice. Yet, as he approached the room in which the grand piano was situated, his ears picked up on ivory fingers gently being played by someone already.
Gods, who took my bloody spot? I'll have to shoo them. That was his train of thought, already assuming it was someone from the music club.
But, no. He was incorrect while quietly opening the door. On the bench sat a blonde young man that struck Izou as familiar, but couldn't put a finger on it yet. And surprisingly, the skill on this one was nothing to ignore at all as the melody flowed in waves.
Izou stood silent, listening, shoulder leaning against the door frame until the last few notes were plucked, lingering in the air before silence fell heavy.
"Tiersen. Comptine d'un autre ete: L'Apres-midi. Quite lovely."
- Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste allows himself to exhale with that last lingering note that always sent a little shiver of satisfaction through him. It really was a lovely peice and one that he didn't mind learning at all. That moment of quiet is unexpectedly broken by Izou speaking up however.
Bright green eyes flick up toward Izou as the peice is appropriately named. No sooner does that small flicker of surprise pass over him than it's replaced by an easy smile.
"Why thank you! It was one of my mother's favorites." There's only a small tinge of emotion to that remark as he quickly corrects, "And one of mine."
Half-standing from the bench it's nudged back with his legs as he gives a gesture questioningly to the piano. "Ah, sorry am I taking your spot? I haven't had much chance to practice lately and--" Oh right. He reaches out to quickly snag his phone in hand to turn off the recording before he forgets about it. "I thought most of the music club was probably done by now and it would be all right if I played a bit."
- Zoisite has posed:
A discreet twitch of the eye at the mention of the song being a mother's favorite, however Izou doesn't pursue the comment much. Instead, his gaze shifts to the phone which was plucked off the piano with grace.
"Yes, you did snag my spot, actually. But since I've been more late than not, I suppose the piano is open for strangers until then." And he pushes himself away from the door frame, approaching the blonde while taking in a much closer look. This boy looked familiar, enough for his brows to knit together in a little questioning frown.
"I have met you before, haven't I?"
- Adrien Agreste has posed:
Most might prickle under Izou's gaze but somehow Adrien doesn't seem to notice any discomfort in the slightest. The phone he'd plucked up is slid into a pocket to free both hands as he moves away from the piano leaving the bench invitingly out and available.
"Sorry about that, then," he offers with a little chuckle as he pauses to flick his hand back through his bangs. They bounce back perfectly in place. Someone knew how to use hair products properly without leaving it looking crunchy and fake.
The question of knowing him earns another grin, and a little dip of his chin. "You're Mamoru's friend. Izou, right? I'm Adrien Agreste. Naru's boyfriend," he explains with a chuckle. "Although I was fresh off a photoshoot when we met the first time and not wearing casual clothes," he admits with a sweep of his hand to his very neat and tidy jeans and shirt combo. Casual they may be but they were taken care of with the utmost care. No stains or dirt here to be seen.
- Zoisite has posed:
Friend was an understatement, but not one he was going to correct at that moment. Placing his messenger bag next to the now freed piano bench, his greens eyes takes a more meticulous look over the other. The style and well groomed presentation was not lost on him. And he could have sworn having seen Adrien somewhere else. Another club, perhaps? Perhaps the Fencing Club? It was the only one besides Music that he joined--mostly for Tamaki's sake and for a much needed distraction.
But he'd recently dropped out as his focus was much needed in his current passion. Besides, he barely had known anyone else in that club besides his neighbor.
Either way, the introduction earns a smile from Izou. Not sharp, merely a casual one as the frown melts away. "I thought you looked familiar. Pardon me for not having remembered your name. Izou Saitou. I'm one of Mamoru's neighbors and classmates."
- Adrien Agreste has posed:
"Oh, it's all right! A lot has happened since then." It wasn't as if Adrien expected everyone to recognize him after all. In fact... "It's actually kind of nice *not* being recognized once in awhile, honestly."
"You were in fencing club too for awhile weren't you? I fence with Tamaki fairly frequently when I'm not getting pulled away by work."
He moves to his own messenger bag to open it so he can slide his phone inside apparently deciding not to bother having that bulky thing in his pocket. The light glints breifly from a silver ring on his hand as he does so. A signet style ring that was an odd fashion choice but not *out* of fashion, either.
"I used to be Mamoru's neighbor in the dorms before he got the new building. I keep meaning to stop by more often. He's one of the first friends I made when I moved here from Paris."
- Zoisite has posed:
That's it! So he did recognize Adrien from fencing. Watching two blondes go at it fiercely, Tamaki with a cocky smile on one's face while Adrien seemed much more suave. "You're correct. I was in fencing for a couple of months, but only for half the time. I had to split it with Music Club before I made the decision to drop Fencing. I suppose I'll get actual practice with my rapier in other ways." Such as a proper battle, and hopefully one that did not include a stampede of vending machines. Ugh.
"Paris, hm? I might need to pull you aside so I can practice my French again. It's been a while and I know no one else that would be able to indulge me." Green gaze drops to the signet ring, curious about it but not ready to pry about it just yet.
- Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste shifts his weight to drop into one of the chairs sideways so he can draw one leg up to cross over his knee comfortably while they talk. At the least he's not hogging the piano at all as he gets comfortable. "You know French? That would be great, actually. I haven't gotten to speak it for awhile other than with my Father and he's... Busy. Usually." For just a moment he looks uncomfortable even though it was a topic he brought up himself. It's quickly moved on from though.
"It can be hard to keep up too many things at once. I understand. If you found something you really want to focus on, it's worth it. I still really love fencing so I decided to stick with that. It's good to not get out of practice in my other skills though," he adds gesturing to the piano pointedly.
"I'd be happy to help you on both fronts if you'd like. I really won't be busy again until Fashion Week."
- Zoisite has posed:
Ah. There's something interesting in the look of crooked wrinkles and slightly bent brows. Discreet, quick, but it spoke volumes of something Izou seemed to recognize. Together with the signet ring, he could only imagine some of it, if his assumption was correct. "That's a pity." Izou offers quietly, hiding his insincerity.
"Fashion Week? You really do dig your hands into many subjects. Just be careful to not turn into a Jack of all trade, and a Master of none." Even if that was blunt, the warning was a sincere one.
"Anyway, yes, I would very much appreciate the help with French and fencing--Unless you'd be more comfortable with plain sword fighting? Slightly more brutal, but needed, don't you agree? Not many are capable enough with a sword to practice against. What do you say?"
- Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste can't help but laugh about that part: Digging into so many things. There's actual mirth to his gaze though as he ducks his head allowing his bangs to slightly obscure his face just a moment. His hand rubs at his neck. "Ah, well, I *am* a model. Although I've been thinking of quitting it. It's kind of hard to balance all the requirements, school, and uh, other more important things." Magical things that he doesn't outright state.
There's a bit of a hopeful look in his gaze when he looks back up again at Izou's acceptance of the French and fencing. "I practice saber primarily. I could be up for other types!" He agrees readily. "You and your friends seem to have more a need to practice that as it is."
"So, sure! I'd love to!" Plus this meant he got to have more friends. It was great being in Japan.
