Donut Take Me For a Fool!
Date of Scene: 18 December 2025
Location: Radiant Heart Academy
Synopsis: Norie and Amy talk about things past and present. Primarily Nightmares and the Fade, maybe.
Cast of Characters: Norie Okana, Amanda Faust

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana is sitting on campus under a tree behind the dorms. She's trying to be alone and it's working, shooting scowls to anyone silly enough to try to come over to her. She's muttering to herself as she munches on donuts, a box sitting in her lap. She's about half done. The box seems to contain a mix of plain cake donuts and chocolate cake donuts. The donuts have a heart shaped hole, marking Karou's Donuts as the place she got them most likely.

She seems deep in thought when another person tries to sit on the bench next to her and she shoots another scowl and they raise their hands an go 'Okay okay!' and leave.

She shoves another donut into her mouth and takes a bite as she mutters and goes back to thinking as she looks around and seems to shrink a little into herself as she hunches over.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy sees Norie, someone she hasn't seen in awhile! She starts to smile and wave, but falters as she sees someone else sit near her and immediately get scowled away. While Amy's standing there, another person comes up, and is scowled off.

Well... there's probably, like, a certain kind of gentle touch needed here to better handle this, but... Amy sure isn't the person for that! Hopefully being someone who can remember magic and so can at least be talked to about Norie's problems is enough.

"Hey. Okana-san." Amy greets with a slightly awkward smile, once she's under the tree. "Um." How are you doing seems a bad question. "It's been awhile. A lot of stuff's happened. Um. I see you're eating donuts? Are they... less ruined, now?" she asks, hopefully that this is good news of any improvement in Norie's life and not going to set her off.

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana looks under the tree and suddenly, Amy's there. Oh. She puts the half eaten donut down onto her lap and gently dusts her hands off of crumbs. Amy gets a frown but not a scowl. "No. Donuts still taste less good since..." Hinoiri. Scowl at the thought, momentarily before she goes back to her neutral frowny face.

She sighs and moves over a bit so Amy can sit down. "You can sit. I didn't wanna be bothered by these... randoms trying to make me feel better or talk to me. Small talk is awful and I hate it."

"How are... you, Amy-chan?" she asks, gently looking back forward towards the back of the dorms.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy gives a slight, solemn nod at the donut update.

She sits next to Norie, crossing her legs. "Yeah, I feel you. I never understood small talk. I guess actually it fills time -- obsoleted by having a novel or smartphone in your pocket -- and serves the function of saying 'hello, I don't particularly want to have a conversation right now, I may not have the mental energy to spare, but I wanted to acknowledge your presence and let you know I notice you or remember you're here.'"

"Which, like... people could just say? But don't. Because they think it'd be weird, or whatever."

She takes a breath, feeling the cold winter air in her lungs. She wonders, does Norie still breathe? Does the energy her body's made of shape into lungs that can feel this cold, or is the Norie-shape only surface-level and it's just... dark energy, inside?

"I'm... alright. Good? In that I am maybe-sorta-dating-or-in-some-kinda-relationship-with Miho, but she's been super busy lately, and... bad, in that nightmares are threatening the city and I learned that the Fade probably won't be identity death and replacing me with an amnesiac, but instead just making me a crazy person who can't remember her own alleged life but remembers all of this," she gestures vauely, "and her own real past as stories that hugely influenced who she is. So uh. Hoping we can avoid that, heh."

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana frowns a little. She shifts a little. "Yeah..." she says in response to the talk of small talk. "I'm just not in the mood for it so. Sitting. Somewhere quiet." she mutters as she picks up her donut from her lap and takes a bite, and offers the box to Amy. "...want one?" she asks. Sharing her donuts? Yeah she trusts Amy at least.

She listens to Amy talk about some kinda relationship as she swallows her bite of donut. "Maybe-sorta-dating? Do you... not know?" she asks quizzically. She then listens about the Fade and then finally asks. "The.... Fade?" she blinks a little. She's heard that term around recently. Maybe in Riventon's presence with that... strange powerful feeling Dark energy lady. She scrunches her nose.

"Dark energy. Resists the Fade. As far as I know. It's why there's many adults that wield it I think. If you can't remember. I'll remember for you. Okay?" she says quietly.

"But where did you learn that?" she asks, tilting her head.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy nods at the comment about not being in the mood. Her eyebrows go up in surprise at the offer of donut. "Ooh... thank you!" She carefully breaks one in half and takes a bite, chewing while thinking of how to respond.

Do you not know?
"I mean... well... like, I'm demi or something, right? I think I don't feel sexual attraction the way other people do from descriptions of it, and I also don't really understand the appeal of date dates. I just wanna hang out, but I also think being able to snuggle and maybe, one day, more, sounds pretty nice?" she grins and shrugs.

"So we haven't really done date stuff but we're okay with kissing and closeness and she's like showing me places she likes but I dunno if that counts as a 'date' or what, and, y'know, it's not like it has to? I'm not trying to, like, tick off boxes on some sort of... 'here are all the requirements to win at relationship' or something, you know?"

She nods at the bit about dark energy, and smiles at Norie's offer. "Thanks. I... I hope that things don't work out that way, but if they do, it'll be nice to have people who can tell me I'm not... crazy, even if they can't tell me why."
But where did you learn that?
Amy's face does make a bit of an 'uh oh' expression. "Uhhhh..." she heard that Obsidian knows about Maryam Siddig already... but she does kind of blab too easily, and come to think of it they may not yet know Maryam Siddig is in contact with local mahoujin, which might... change any plans Obsidian has involving her.

"I don't think I can tell you that, sorry. Like, it could lead to Obsidian doing experiments on someone and messing up their life, you know?"

Amy blinks. "To clarify: I do not know exactly what will happen. No one knows my future or anything. It's more that... apparently that's what it does in general. You don't just... forget stuff, but... it's recast in normal terms, or as something you saw in a game or anime..."

"It's just in my case, 'Amy Faust' didn't exist until almost two and a half years ago, and there is no mundane explanation for remembering growing up in the 2000s as a boy. Or... or my life between then and making the wish. So... logically... even what would be the mundane parts of my life before I got magic, will have... that sort of thing happen to the memories of it."

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana finishes her plain cake donut and carefully picks out a chocolate cake one next as she gently wags the donut in Amy's direction. "So you just don't know. That's okay I guess." she says with a shrug. "I know I can feel.... love but it's... strange. I don't wanna talk about it." she says with a little wince. "Not right now?"

She nods. "You won't be crazy. Things will be odd. But that's okay. As for where you heard it... you can't.. tell me? Okay. I guess that's fair. There's things I can't tell you either. So we both have our secrets." she says softly as she takes a bite of her cake donut.

"Huh. Wait. You we're a boy?" she then gently squints at Amy and mutters. "Oh..."

"OH. I'm so sorry. I didn't know. That's news to me." she says sheepishly as she scrunches into herself. "W..what was your wish anyways then to.. to be a girl?" she asks quietly, trying to ask directly.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy just gives another little nod at 'I can feel love but it's weird.' And at 'we both have our secrets'.

Wait. You were a boy?
Amy's eyes widen. "O-oh... it never came up? I'm bad at tracking who I told and who I didn't."

What was your wish?
Amy looks at Norie a moment.

In the past? Amy's been worried that the wish was... vain. But now... it feels like maybe people could understand, if she gives them the context? ...Perhaps especially Norie, stuck in a body in some ways not to her liking.

Amy looks at her a moment, and then down at the grass. "...He said, 'form a contract with me and become a magical girl.' Kyubey did, I mean. So... Magical girl was on the table already, but... there was a fight going on. I didn't have time to ask what that meant."

"I'd read stories before. Of guys who became 'magical girls'. Sometimes it goes as you might naively expect. Other times..." She frowns. "If you've ever seen anime or TV shows make... certain jokes, you can imagine how, a 'comedy' might... might pull 'oh actually the new form is just a kinda girly-looking guy' or, worse, just put him in the outfit with no change." She grimaces.

"The thought of something like that... loomed in my mind. And yes, I did consider wishing for world peace or the like, but... we've all read stories with wishes. Something big and vague like that seemed more likely to go wrong. Something small and selfish, but not involving anyone else, seemed most likely to not get monkey's-pawed or something."

"So..." She looks to Norie, "And a magical battle was happening and Scorn had already taken down Hanzo, Cure Tide, and Cure Wukong, and Venus was facing her down... There wasn't time. I needed to make a wish, to complete the contract."

"So..." She looks back at the ground, "to try and avert what I now know was dysphoria... I wished to be cute."

She looks a little embarassed at the admission, still a little worried it might be seen as vain, and glances furtively at Norie to check her reaction.

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie listens to the story with interest, eating a donut and finishing it while Amy finishes the story. She scrunches her nose at parts, and then hrms. She's read mangas like this! So she seems to understand, nodding along. Before she blinks.

"Your wish was. To be cute?" she asks. She then goes from frown to a straight face. If Amy knows anything about Norie, that means it's as close as she gets to a 'smile' anymore.

"That sure is a wish I guess! But it seems to have worked out for you?" she asks, tilting her head. Wait. Is she calling Amy 'Cute' in a roundabout way? Probably.

She doesn't seem to have a bad reaction, regardless. "So you made a wish , to save some others. I guess that's noble. I guess?" she asks.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy smiles and relaxes a bit at the 'it seems to have worked out' comment.

Was it noble? "I mean... well... I've always read and watched stories about... like... people with powers getting to... to make a difference in others lives the way I never could... And I mean... magic. A chance to deal with magic and the secret world of magical girls that had apparently existed around me. So it was a little bit for me... Or, well, also a lot."

Amy shrugs. "But at the same time... I assumed from the get-go that if magical battles were happening in real life, they were probably pretty dangerous. I didn't assume I'd survive this long, but..."

Her eyes stare off into the distance. "I hated my life. Or at least, never liked it. Spent all my time with books and anime, escaping to stories... so the chance to, to do something interesting and worthwhile? And exciting?"

She smiles, "Plus, I get to find out what being a girl is like, which I'd always wondered?" She looks to Norie again. "And, however dangerous it may be, I'll be able to actually help people instead of being powerless and wishing the world was different? Sign me up!"

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana listens softly. "I found out about magic the hard way. The day I woke up like. This. I still hate it. I wish I never bought the damn necklace. I just thought it was a pretty necklace in a secondhand store..." she says quietly.

"But. Stuff happens. I guess." she says. "For a reason. I just don't know what dumb reason it did it to me. I wish I knew. My dreams don't have answers. And now these 'Nightmares' are invading them and muddying up things. Did you know Kyoto is a hotspot for them currently? Something bad is going down there. We lost a team of agents there." We. She probably means Obsidian.

"So now it's dangerous. Because these 'Nightmares', Capital N, I might add. A Youma type. Are swarming there apparently. It seems to be happening here. Slowly."

"Do you know anything about those? You mentioned your maybe-maybenot-girlfriend was having Nightmares....?"

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy nods at Norie's recalling of her own, less pleasant, introduction to magic. Then shakes her head at 'stuff happens for a reason.'

"I mean... In a cause-and-effect sense, it does, but there's no... grand plan by some being inflicting suffering because it will serve some 'good'. That's just a lie people tell themselves when..."

Amy takes a breath. "It's complicated. A mix of wanting to believe the uncaring universe is just or kind, and wanting to tell themselves it's OK for them not to do anything about it -- or to not feel able to do anything about it. Because they're uncomfortable at the thought that the world can be truly cruel, or that they might have to do something."

As for Nightmares... she nods. "Yeah. They're on their way to Tokyo now. Already making things worse. Wait, you what?"

Amy sits up straight, wide-eyed, stares at Norie. "Like... people with magic? A whole team?"

She blinks. "As for here... I don't know about Miho, but we've been fighting the Nightmares..."

Is that too much information, she tries to think... she probably shouldn't mention that Emi is vulnerable right now. But also, other things... Ley lines, a strong monster...

"...I know a bit more, but... what do you think the odds are Riventon will try to control or use them and make everything worse?"

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana frowns as she explains. "No. They we're... unpowered. Just techs sent to repair an antenna. It was functioning normally the whole time. Nightmares we're screwing with it." she explains. "But they we're magic aware. They knew what it was they we're repairing." she says.

"Ah. Good. No. I don't think Riventon wants anything to do with them. I think he wants to treat them like we treat Witches. Neutralize on sight, just uncontrolled monsters." she says.

"But I'd need to ask him to be sure. He seemed to dislike them heavily and knew what they we're when we fought them." she says.

"We neutralized the Nightmare there before it made us walk off the side of a building." she says.

"But the entire city is infested. Don't travel there if you can help it." she shifts uncomfortably. "I don't like the Nightmares myself. I wish to neutralize them rather than control them." she says. "They are ruining my dreams. I can't learn if these things are destroying my dreams."

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy listens, curiously. "Wait. They were unpowered but magic aware? How's that work? Can Obsidian make people magic-aware? Ah... I guess that probably counts as a secret, huh." Also in that category: An antenna for what? And why in Kyoto, when that's not one of the three magical cities?

...Come to think of it, how long has Obsidian been around? ...She should ask Maryam Siddig about that, too...

    Amy listens. "You can't... learn?"

Amy thinks about it. "Look. There's some kind of... ultra-powerful nightmare coordinating them now, making them work together on this scale. And if you kill a nightmare it can bring them back, or at least, a version of them. And it's on its way to Tokyo and it's bringing... it's gonna make it like Kyoto here, too, eventually, if we can't stop it."

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana says. "Some upper employees have been touched by the Dark Energy and the experiments with it. It leaves an impression. You should meet Ted one day." she says blankly. "Also, it's good to have an early warning system in place when something starts moving. This one paid dividends, didn't it?" she asks.

"Yes I can't learn. I dream of..." she says. "A man named Poderso and his life. But everything is out of order. I'm trying to piece it all together in a diary. But I only have bits and pieces. I know he's the vampire my power originates from though." she says. "It's..."

"Do you remember. The um. Uh..." she rubs the back of her head. "That museum situation? I remembered that man from my dreams and something... clicked and..." she shakes her head. "I don't remember anything past that. I remember waking up confused and disoriented." she says.

"So a bigger Nightmare is coordinating the smaller ones- wait it can just. Remake the Nightmares? That's..."

"That's annoying!" she says with a huffy pout. "That means that fight we had was for nothing." she says angrily.

"Well I won't let it make it like that there!" she says, stamping a foot on the ground and leaning forward. "Screw that! Screw it all to hell!" she says.

"Is that all you know? It's okay if you can't tell me more but..." she says. "I need all the information I can get right now."

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy nods at the bit about some employees gaining awareness from exposure to dark energy.

She wonders what side effects are happening, though.

Also nods at the bit about an early warning system.

Poderso. "And that has something to do with--?" she starts to ask, at the same time as Norie says he's the vampire her power originated from. She nods again.

The museum! Nod. "Yeah, I was actually meaning to ask you about..." She frowns. "So he like... took control of you? Worrying."

Was the fight for nothing? Amy shakes her head. "I don't know. Maybe it can only do it so many times, or there's some other trick to it. We don't know for sure... but yeah, if we don't figure it out, it'll be... a problem."

She is cheered, a bit, by seeing Norie so enthusiastic about stopping this.

Is that all you know? Amy thinks for a moment. "...The one controlling the others... calls themself the all-subsuming-one. They... or perhaps he? Claims he knows all, that all will be part of him, et cetera, et cetera. We haven't figured out any weaknesses yet. He was once contained, but we don't have anyone capable of doing that again. And given he somehow made things worse in Kyoto before escaping, I don't think containment is the solution here. But we don't yet know how to destroy him."

"...Some of these nightmares are strong. One of them got me for a day. Another took constant attacks from us for over a minute, with constant purification, to stop. I don't know how we could fight both of those at the same time, and with others?" She shakes her head.

"We saw them together in Kyoto. Although, it's interesting we were able to escape... I wonder why?"

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana takes a deep breath. "You we're there. What exactly. Happened? Veronica-chan was very upset with me. Did I. Do something there to make something bad happen?" she asks softly. She shifts a bit uncomfortably.

She huffs. "You escaped because it wanted you to probably. It probably wants you alive so you can see it's grand design and whatever whatever you know the speils." she says as she rolls her eyes.

"But that's the controlling Nightmare. Hrm." she says.

"Then we need to defeat it. If containment isn't the solution maybe destroying them is." she says. "I wonder if we can talk to that thing." she says. "I bet it has a lot of dumb exposition to expound if you call it dumb names." she says.

Amanda Faust has posed:
What happened. "In Kyoto? We teleported in. M-- uhh. One of us immediately felt sick. We searched the train station for the reason we were there, found them, and... people started... It, Subsy, he started talking through people at us. Threatening stuff, you know the shpiel." She nods. "And then he had with him five nightmares we'd previously defeated..." She shivers.

"We escaped. Onto a train. The train was a mimic. We fought it and eventually ended up back in Tokyo."

    Blink.

"OH you mean at the museum. Uh. Suddenly you were shouting, something about service not being complete, and... one of the exhibits was armor that I guess was a dormant youma? A dullahan that must've worked for the vampire you mentioned, although the museum didn't have his name. Then it attacked us."

"I'm not sure wy Veronica would be especially mad at you? I mean, it attacked her girlfriend, but it attacked all of us... and clearly you weren't in control of what happened." Amy shrugs.

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana shivers. "Sir Dullahan. THE Dullahan. The original. That was the man in the portrait. He was a... a knight in service to Poderso. In turn, he got....empowered. Through a contract. He of course. Did things with his power in his name. He was eventually caught by.. a Domenico..." he eyes narrow.

"A family of monster hunters. I dunno why. But that family name makes me upset." she says.

"So it spoke through others and had nightmares you had previously defeated with it. Upsetting." she says with a sigh.

"Amy-chan. Please understand. If you need help with this. Like. Handling Dark Energy monsters. Let me know? I want to study these things so I can help defeat them. And I am... well I'm an affinity to Dark Energy. These things don't affect me as heavily as others." she offers.

Amanda Faust has posed:
"The Dullahan? Oh is it like Pegasus where originally there was one and then it kinda became seen as a class of creature?" Amy shakes her head. "Not important right now, I guess."

"A Domenico?" She echoes, and Norie explains. "Probably because of um... Poderso's influence on your powers."

Amy blinks at the offer. "Well uh... of course? If you think you have a way to figure out the Nightmares' weaknesses, I'm all ears! What do we need to do?"

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana nods. "Yeah. He's the original. Others are copycats. Sir Dullahan was a... friend." she says quietly, almost sadly as she looks down. "Erm. To Poderso." she says.

"Yeah probably. I have a strong feeling of that family name. Just. Yeah." she says. She then nods. "I want readings. I want to get in there and study their habits. If they're smart I wanna ask them questions. I just. Need to know things." she says. "I need to do that. I can't give you equipment. Sorry. Unless you have a devicer with you that can do it for me." she say. "Otherwise I need my uh. Backpack unit. I found it in a closet, it hadn't been used since the nineteen nineties! It's an upgrade over the luggable." she says gravely.

"Let's... work together. I mean. Not just. You and me. I mean me and. Your group of friends. I want to help." she offers.

"Who all is involved anyways?" she asks, head tilting.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy shrugs at the bit about copycats, then raises an eyebrow at the comment about him being a friend. And nods. It's clear Poderso's memories or feelings influence her somewhat.

Amy shakes her head. "I don't think asking them questions is a good idea."

Amy furrows her brow. "This isn't like... I mean... the place where they are is, is the dreamscape. It's dreams. And outside of your own dreams you're not exactly safe. I don't... know how..." Amy thinks.

"...I'll ask... our person who knows about this stuff... if she'll work with you on this. Otherwise..."

"I mean, there's not really a neutral way to encounter them! If you're facing a nightmare, you're in someone's dreamscape that its influencing, you know? And whatever kinds of tools you're used to..."

"...It's not like you can... we can't physically bring our bodies and stuff to the dreamscape, only our magic. You can dream up copies of stuff, but... it's not real. Have you tried to use your phone in a dream? And obviously any notes you write down, won't be there when you wake up."

"...as for who's involved... I mean, it's kind of an all hands on deck situation at this point?"

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy adds, "Or did you mean the nightmares? Besides Subsy, there's... that we know of -- the Lady of the Labyrinth, who tires you with a maze and then a disorenting party, but aside from fucking your senses can be directly attacked... there's uh... the one that was made of someone's bad future? Or a possible future they were afraid of? If it's not your own bad future, then like, you can just fight him?"

"And there's..." she sighs. "Bliss-chan. She insists that everyone be happy all the time and bury sadness, but she was able to whammy us somehow. Like, me an' the others who went after her the first time, got caught for a whole day and like..." She rubs her head. "It's a dream. So like. We were kinda stuck at her daycare-house, as kids part of the time, it was weird, she even got--" Amy shakes her head. "Once we got to her, insisting on showing sadness seemed to make her lose control over us, though."

"There's the Flickerman, who steals your words and can teleport faster than anyone can attack him. A real pain. Had to keep up saturation attacks for a whole minute, like I said before."

She stops and counts on her fingers. "Lady, future guy, bliss-chan, flickerman... oh right, Rate My Henshin. Disembodied voice and 'viewers' that taunt you in whatever way is most emotionally hurtful, but... otherwise, seemed to be able to be attacked normally enough."

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana takes in these names and the information and zhe starts taking notes on her phone as she taps taps taps the information in quickly. She huhs and frowns. "So taking notes in a dreamscape is useless. I wonder if I can beat that somehow. Maybe there's a way to cheat." she says as she furrows her brows.

"Huh." she says softly as she crosses her arms. "We fought..."

"These guys in masks. and Lanterns. They we're like a cult and there was... friends and family among them my D-...." she shifts a bit uncomfortably. "my Dad was among them." she says quietly.

"I wanna end these things so bad, Amy-chan." she says softly. "For making me feel that way." she says narrowing her eyes.

"I just..." she says. She curls a bit and bring her knees to her body. "I miss him, you know? I hate. Being reminded like that. Being used like that. I almost fell for it."

Amanda Faust has posed:
A way to cheat. "Sleep with a machine that reads your eye movements. Come up with a code whereby certain eye movements correspond to letters, or hiragana or whatever."

"...But if you come up with a better way, do let us know. And maybe that wouldn't work, we haven't tried."

She frowns. "Masks? Lanterns? A cult? Friends and--" She pulls a small book out of her bag and starts writing notes.

She nods. "Yeah. I don't... like them, either. Promising... they're not even doing it right."

And then Norie's talking about her feelings when she was manipulated like that. Amy starts to lean over and hold out an arm, reflexively, and then pulls it back. "That sucks, yeah. Using... someone's memories and vulnerabilities like that... it's awful. We have to find a way to stop them. I'll... ask our expert if they know anything about... a group of entities with, a cult with lanterns and masks that make someone's-- that make facsimiles of dead family members. ...I'm sorry. You shouldn't have had to go through that. No one should."

Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana ahs! "But I don't sleep like... like a human does." she says softly, still curled up, peeking out above her knees. "I like. Meditate. and just. Dreams come. It's weird. It's like..." she head tilts. "Like a reverie? Like that. I'm reliving memories." she says. "I don't know if that'll be a difference or not. But. I was affected by one before." she says.

She shifts a bit. "Have you ever been to the Dusk Zone? I remember the... Molly situation. I dunno if you we're involved. I like it there. It's my favorite place to rest. I rest easier there."

"Yeah. These things in masks. Sometimes they had faces behind their hoods and masks. Mine was. My Dad. I think. Others heard or.. saw different things. One of us figured out it was a trick and blasted them, and woke us out of the hold. So we all attacked." she says.

She looks up and sighs a little. "I have to speak to some people now." she says as she gently closes her box of remaining donuts and hops to her feet.

"It was nice speaking to you Amy-chan. Thank you. Let's... let's talk more often. Okay?" she asks lightly, straight neutral face. "Sorry."

"I'm trying to smile but. It isn't happening. Heh." she goes. A snarky chuckle at the end. Something she can do.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Have you ever been to the dusk zone? Amy thinks of the portal, the ay Molly died, and shakes her head. "We're concerned that since I'm a Puella Magi, it'd kill me. Otherwise... well, I'm sure it's terrifying and all, but I've also always kinda wanted to see an alternate plane of reality? But... I dunno if the dreamscape really compares. But, perhaps... if your meditation is different, especially if you can control your body in the waking world at the same time, perhaps you can take notes."

She stands after Norie does, and smiles. "Yeah. It's been too long... talk to you soon, I hope." She smiles awkwardly, not sure what to say to the inability to smile. "The... the thought that you want to, is good news enough, today."
