Towering Terrors and Wishful Thinking

Synopsis:	Scorn attacks Clover Tower with a towering Terribad! Cure Daybreak, Yellow Pearl Voice, Puella Amy and Cure Tide defend. Kyubey continues to be mysterious.

Scorn has posed:
Scorn duskports onto the top of Clover Tower and she clasps her fists. She's nearly had Cures in her grasp twice, and each time they've been ruined by this girl with a rocket launcher and by Cure Tide and and... she just has had enough. Today is busy in Clover Tower as it's the premiere of some new show. Scorn doesn't care. She raises her hand and calls out. "LET THE FUTURE IN THE MIRROR BECOME TERRIBLE!"

There's just a sudden wave of darkness as most of the people inside the studios, the tower are trapped into mirrors, before she calls out. "PLEASE COME OUT, COME OUT, MY TERRIBAD!" she calls out as she summons a way larger than usual Terribad, with a giant camera for a head and two microphones for hands. It's about half the size of the tower...

The tower, and area starts growing feathers and it's starts to rain feathers.

She jumps down onto one of the giant feathers and sits on it side saddle as she puts out her hand as feathers fall into it, as those not trapped in mirrors starts succumbing to the energy drain, falling to the ground slowly.

"Let's see those losers deal with this one!" she huffs dramatically.

Mio Morita has posed:
Two years and Mio had never been to Clover Tower. So she does the only reasonable thing. She invites Amy and Coco to come with her to Clover Tower! It is really impressive. The massive tower reaches high into the sky. With her as always is the 'plush' Fairy who is being carried by her as she enters the mall section of the tower

"This place is amazing!" She exclaims to her friends. "I can't believe I never came here. Its so cool!" She smiles and looks around at the different shops. She happens to have about a thousand yen, courtesy of her allowance from her father. "We should get lunch!" SHe exclaims.

Suddenly there is tapping on her arm. Its Pin. "There is danger nearby. Above us. You should change." She whispers. Thankfully not drawing much attention.

"Ummm We got trouble." She turns to face Amy and Coco. "I think Pin is right. We need to find a place to change." She looks around for a place to change. Already people are falling asleep around her. "We need to hurry." She finds the bathroom and rushes in. Into one of the empty stalls she goes. With a flash, gone is Mio and Cure Daybreak is on the scene.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    The idea is presented shortly after she wakes up. Clover Tower? "I dunno... after yesterday I kinda just wanna rest." As Mio goes about getting ready, though, Amy realizes something: She actually feels... pretty great? Sleep was... more restful than she can ever remember being? For the past several years, she's always felt like she could use a couple more hours even if she gets eight. Back home she was called lazy. And of course if she actually *got* ten hours, she still felt kinda bad. Too much sleep, and also knowing how lazy she was... She's managed to mostly hide this problem since coming to Japan.

    But... come to think of it... she was always so busy with the details of her new life that she didn't *notice*, but she's felt great every time she wakes up! Damn, youth is amazing. Smiling, she throws off the covers and stands up--*BONK*-- "F***! Oh, sorry, I bumped my head on the top bunk... nnngh... I was just gonna say... I changed my mind. Just... give me a moment."

    Honestly? Amy's not much of a tourist. Just seeing places... it's a tall building. They have those back home, too! But you know... it's kind of nice just seeing Mio so happy, and, somehow, being out and about isn't quite as bad. She feels less... out of place, or like she doesn't want to be scene. Must just be that youthful energy.

    'We got trouble.' Amy slumps. "You're kidding. No, I don't actually mean I think you're kidding..." she sighs.

    Amy runs after Mio. She briefly glances around, this is the first she's been in outside the school and she wonders if there are any other differences other than the additional stalls. "...Is that a COUCH? Why is there a COUCH in here?!" She turns to Daybreak, half-darkened soul gem in hand, as her roommate steps out, "You know, there's no one else in here, you coulda just--- ah, nevermind."

    One henshin sequence later: "If it's above us, I guess we go for the stairs. Shouldn't depend on an elevator in an emergency and even if we CAN, why climb it outside?"

Coco Kiumi has posed:
After yesterday's injuries, Coco had decided to take a swim somewhere off the coast that day. The mermaid wasn't particularly swimming, rather just floating there with nobody to bother her, enjoying the water's refreshment on her skin.

The injuries transfer between forms, so even her tail could be in a better shape. 'I owe Sailor Moon a lot for getting us all out of that bind'. She thinks back to how the girl sacrificed her tiara to put the thunderous villain out of commission, at least for now.

She starts spraying a bit of the water around, playfully hitting nearby fishes. 'How long has it been since I last went for a swim already?' There haven't been many chances, admittedly, and staying away from water has its own benefits, since the chances of alerting the water demons are much lower. But she is willing to take the risk today, feeling the longing of her element more than ever. Being the morning of a sunday, there is still a few hours still until the meetup with Mio and Amy, so she is enjoying a break this way for now.

Fast forward to later, the three girls are girls are pondering what to have for lunch when Pin starts warning them of a nearby danger. 'Again?' Coco thinks, having just started to feel better from yesterday's attack. "You are right, Mio!" she answers as the Precure proposes finding a place to change.

Following her into a bathroom and getting her own stall, Coco starts activating her pearl's power, the locket around her neck shining as she does so. "Yellow Pearl Voice!" The pearl's power starts transforming her, turning her into her Idol form and dressing her into her characteristic yellow dress. After seeing the transformed Red, Yellow Pearl Voice has a flashback to that darkened gem she took out the last time. "Is everything ok, Red? You had a weird dark gem yesterday." The dark energy she felt there reminds her of the darkness that had corrupted Sara's heart, so she is quite apprehensive of what may be happening to Red.

Scorn has posed:
Many people are now in mirrors inside the tower, and those that aren't have succumbed to the energy drain.

This is going to be one heck of a Terribad. Scorn sits on her feather, waiting to see who comes up. "I'm going to capture someone this time." she says angrily. "Bring more mahou shoujo back for Queen Mirage...almost...almost isn't good enough for Mirage-sama." she says as she floats upwards up near her Terribad. Her very large Terribad.

"Maybe I'll be lucky. No one will come~" she says.

"Maybe they're all scared..." she says as magical girls are not doubt arriving already.

"Yeah... scared of me." she says proudly!

Mio Morita has posed:
Cure Daybreak quickly exits the bathroom, "I'll explain the couch later!" She exclaims to Red as she gets moving. "Where is the danger, Pin?" She asks as she rushes through the massive mall inside the tower.

The fairy is now flying above her and looking around. "Its above us! We have to get up there." She points up with a paw.

"I think we need to get to the roof. How do we even... I mean I can fly up but that doesn't help the two of you. How about that!" She gestures to a nearby elevator which she rushes to. She practically pulls the two magical girls in with her and the doors close behind her.

Pressing the button for the roof, the elevator hums to life and slowly starts its assent. The dull, lifeless sound of music fills the elevator. It gently plays making things sound much less chaotic than they actually are. "So is everyone still okay from yesterday? No aftermath from all the craziness?" She asks sounding more than a little disconcerted.

Finally the door opens and there are coffin mirrors all over the place with one massive terribad waiting for them. "Good Grief! This is going to be a nasty fight!" She looks around for the general in charge. After a moment she spots Scorn. "Who is that Pin?"

The fairy responds quickly, "I have no idea! She's not one of the three I know about for this area."

Doesn't matter, we're all gonna find out." She quickly calls out, "Hey! First off, Who are you? Secondly, How dare you come to this place where people are happy and start causing misfortune! This is unforgivable!"

Amanda Faust has posed:
    A weird dark gem. Red blinks. "Oh... I..." she taps the gem, transformed into a hairband decoration, still red but half-dark. "This indicates how much magic I have left. To recharge it, I need to kill a Witch for its grief seed. I'd... better find one soon, but right now we can't worry about that! Every terribad we've fought... I only needed to use a couple rockets, right? That much is no problem." She offers a reassuring smile to Yellow.

    And then she's pulled into the elevator. She sighs as it closes and they start going up, pointing at the IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, DO NOT USE ELEVATOR sign. "We can go up stairs faster and what if the youma does something that gets it stuck? I'll have to do property damage to get us out..."

    Daybreak asks if they're alright. She shrugs. "You saw me this morning. It's already scabbed over but it's prob'ly gonna need another day or two." The bandage over her gut is faintly visible under the skintight bodysuit part of her magical girl outfit.

    The elevator rises. Amy crosses her arms and starts tapping her foot impatiently.

    The elevator rises.

    "Did you know this song has a name?" Ashley shares some trivia. "It's called 'The Girl from Ipenima'."

    The elevator rises.

    "...What if this youma has time or space warping powers? We could be stuck in this elevator forever..." She eyes the LED display indicating the floor number. It keeps counting up, at least.

    The elevator rises.

    *DING!*

    The elevator... opens!

    "FINALLY." Amy says with a huff, and steps out... "Oh, it's YOU again." To Daybreak, she notes, "Spreading misfortune is literally her deal, though, that's what she WANTS to do. She's always been so ungrateful every time we make HER experience misfortune, though."

    She turns back to Scorn. "What, no monster this time?"

    And then the terribad makes a noise or something and she runs over to the edge to look down. "...Oh *no*. Yellow, can you float us towards it?"

    And she hisses in a whisper, so that Scorn won't hear, "What *exactly* needs to be done to purify these things? Is its size gonna matter?"

Coco Kiumi has posed:
"We have no time to lose!", declares Yellow Pearl Voice as Pin points to the danger above their heads. Cure Daybreak has preempted her, however and she has already started marching for an elevatorm, dragging her and Red to an elevator. The elevator has ample space for 4 people, so the three of them and Pin fit in just fine.

As Red explains the deal behind her gem, Yellow Pearl Voice is still a bit worried, but she keeps her worries for herself. "I could have given Red a lift like we did when facing the vacuum demon", she observes.

The elevator's music is rather bland, so Yellow Pearl Voice activates the Live Stage in there, overpowering the dull soundtrack with the soundtrack for Legend of Mermaid. "That's much better, don't you think?"

At Cure Daybreak's question, Yellow Pearl Voice replies "I have been refreshing all morning. The last fight gave me aches in uncountable places, but I'm feeling a bit better now. What about you? Are you ok?", expressing a bit of anxious worry for the beating that guy gave them.

After that bit of chat, the door of the elevator opens, showing them a bunch of coffin-like mirrors, and a girl clad in red and black perched on a feather. "What did you do to these people?" she shouts at the girl.

There isn't much time to focus on her, however, as Red points her to a gigantic monster just besides the tower. "Ok, I have never seen anything like that before. But sure, I can get us up there." The Live Stage is already formed around Yellow Pearl Voice from earlier, so all Red has to do is hop in.

Scorn has posed:
Scorn huhs and turns around as she spots. A Cure! She head tilts down at the Cure. "Oh... you're not one I've encountered before..." she say quietly. "I'm Scorn. Of the Phantom Empire~! And you... are...? Cure... ?" she trails off, before her attention is immediately on Daybreak's Red friend. "YOU!" she says angrily, pointing. "YOU HAVE RUINED EVERYTHING FOR ME!" she says as she angrily. "TERRIBAD!" she calls out, raising her hand and the Terribad responds by climbing the tower like king kong, getting to the top and shoots out a stream of film from it's camera head, trying to entrap the magical girls on top of the tower.

It climbs, finally up on the tower as it roars "TERRIBAD!" towering over everyone, Scorn has to hover upwards towards the side of it.

"I'm so glad you've come, mystery girl. I'm going to end you today!" she says angrily ignoring everyone else for now. Including the Cure.

Mio Morita has posed:
"Cure Daybreak is my name!" She calls out to Scorn before turning to see the utterly MASSIVE terribad. "Oh goodie. This is going to be a fun fight." She comments as she prepares herself to fight.

"We've gotta wear it down. Beat up on it, hit it with beams, Whatever! We just gotta weaken it enough. Then it can be purified and we can save all of these people!" She explains to Red. Things get a bit more intense when Scorn starts screaming about Red. "Oh goodness. You get to be the target today it seems, Red." Daybreak's back bow becomes magical wings. She flies up and unleashes a barrage of punches on the terribad. "You're not going to end anyone, Scorn!" She shouts.

"She locked them in misfortune. I will explain later. For now we've gotta take down this terribad." She exclaims to Yellow.

Amanda Faust has posed:
YOU HAVE RUINED EVERYTHING FOR ME!

    What.

    Red is... nervous, having the ire of a dark general (or whatever) directed personally at her. "W-what the hey? Hey, you should be happy, I helped you share in the misfortune you wanted so badly!" She retorts, but her tone of voice is not hiding her concern that Scorn sees things differently and is about to do something terrible. Something... Terribad.

    Red tries to jump away from the incoming film, but she's never encountered this kind of attack before and has no practice dodging it.

    "No! NonononoNONONO!" Red struggles, but she's wrapped in a giant stream of film. WHY. She of ALL people KNEW this kind of attack was going to be coming one day and didn't do anything to prepare! Although... what *would* you do to prepare? Unless you have a magical girl friend who can control vines or something.

    Alright, she was hoping to conserve magic today but this monster -- or perhaps Scorn -- *deserves* her half-finisher.

    But with her arms pinned to her side she can't really... use a rocket launcher. F***!

    But wait... "Film is really flammable, right? Daybreak, maybe you can burn it off me?"

Coco Kiumi has posed:
The girl named Scorn is quick to make her move, as she calls out for the giant creature. The Terribad attacks the trio, and with no time to lose Yellow Pearl Voice istinctively tries to pull Red inside, however the stream of film is too fast and she barely manages to move the Live Stage out of the way. Cure Daybreak has already moved out of the way on her own with the class and expertise that comes from the experience of fighting Terribads.
"Amy, are you ok?", she asks her friend, watching her struggling against the stream binding her. "Wait just a bit, I will help you!" she asks, before adding, loud enough for Scorn to hear. "What did Red do to you, did she accidentally end one of your plans while going through her day as usual?"
At Cure Daybreak's explanation, she nods. "Got it, you know the plan. You do your things, and I will assist. My song should help Red too. Time to bring the hope of the seven seas to this misfortune! Pichi Pichi Voice Live Start!"

The rainbow wind blows at a far off coast

Clouds slowly float away, vanishing away as they aim for the rainbow's end
And then the stars, like pearls
can start releasing a powerful, wondrous light.

As expected, the song unbinds the stream holding Amy, leaving her in freefall for an instand or two before Yellow Pearl Voice catches the Puella Magi in her arms. "Is everything ok?" she asks.

Normally she wouldn't be worried about such an attack doing anything to her, but the beating they all took from Carbonado makes her reconsider what might affect them. While she brings the Live Stage away from the Terribad, she lowers Red to her side.

Aki Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Tide, having been warned of a large Terribad, somehow, really because she has eyes transforms somewhere in the park, takes off through the trees with her wings and with a sparkling light appears from the sky as she BARRELS directly into Scorn from the sky, trying to plow her down into the ground, her leg sparkling around with water elemental energy, no doubt she screamed the attack name from too high up to hear..

"SCORN!" she yells as she angrily says.

"REMEMBER..." she says angrily. more still.

This is probably confusing to everyone else here. She doesn't seem to care.

Amanda Faust has posed:
What did Red do to you, did she accidentally end one of your plans?
    "Pretty much? But stopping these monsters is a magical girl's *job*, right?" Puella Red notes, her voice a bit strained as she's still struggling, trying to see just how much she can move.

    And then it lets go.

    "AAAAH--!"

    And then suddenly she's not falling. She's safe! (well, from the immediate danger of falling, anyway.) She's caught, and looks up at Yellow looking down at her with concern. And blushes bright red. "Aah... wh... you *caught* me???" she squeaks, a tangled cloud of emotions spinning in her head. "I, uh, wh, I'm fine!" she nods, and then... isn't actually sure how you get down from this position gracefully? She's never had to do it before. She turns her head to see the 'ground' she's stepping down onto--

    and then shudders and clings to Yellow at the sudden sensation of vertigo as she sees the distant ground through the magic bubble.

Scorn has posed:
Scorn listens to names. Cure Daybreak? She takes this in and hrms. "I don't. Think I've heard of you. No matter. Another Cure, another problem!" she says as she raises her arm again.

The Terribad gets punched, a lot, causing it to stumble backwards, and almost off the edge of the tower, but catches itself. It takes the hits well, but not well enough. It may be big but...

"TERRIBAD! GIVE THEM MY FEEDBACK ON THIS!" she says, with anger as the Terribad raises it's microphone arms and lets out an awful feedback loop, an awful Sonic attack from it's microphones as if they we're speakers. It's awful and terrible.

Still, that song makes her 'twitch' and she's about to yell something about it when she gets smacked out of the sky.

It's a sudden surprise as she gets scrapped through the ground and and kicked away as she holds her head.

"Oh..Oh it's you" she says. "Good. Two for one. Get rid of all my problems." she says as she stands up, facing down Cure Tide.

Remember.

"Remember what!? How you ruined everything for me!? HOW YOU MADE MIRAGE-SAMA SO UPSET AT ME!?" she spouts. "Cure Tide...y..you are simply the worst!" she says, stamping a foot down in a temper tantrum, but not doing much else.

Mio Morita has posed:
Daybreak feels good about the damage she's done to the attacking terribad. She almost lets her guard down. Almost. "I can't do that. It would possibly burn you too!" She calls to Amy. Suddenly there is that awful feedback. Its so loud and ear piercing that were she not a Precure it would certainly rupture her eardrums and make her ears bleed. She crouches down and covers her ears for a long moment.

Pin starts yelling, "You can do it Daybreak! Give it an energy attack You've got this!" The cheering fairy excitedly yells.

Daybreak hears none of it. Not over the ringing that is left in her ears. Still she does act out. She spins the dial on her pre-brace and calls out "RISING SUN FLARE!" She winds up and her hand glows with magic and she throws forward. A gout of flame goes flying at the terribad.

Slowly her hearing clears up just enough to hear Scorn screaming about something else. She turns to look and sees another Precure! "I don't know who you are but glad you are here!" She exclaims as she turns her focus back to the terribad.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
"Cure Tide!" Yellow Pearl Voice yells with a smile, recognising the Precure that fought with her against Guan Yu. "It's great to see you again, your timing is perfect!"

She is however distracted from surprise as Red clings to her due to vertigo. Yellow Pearl Voice puts an arm around Red, trying to make it clear she got her and she isn't going to fall. "Sorry, do you want me to lower the Stage to the building."

Bringing an example of literal misfortune to them, the Terribad picks exactly that time to start a new attack, one quite fatal to mermaids: the terrible soundwaves spread through the air, hurting the ears of the mermaid, leaving her to hold her ears in pain crouched on the ground of the Live Stage.

Had she been continuing to sing, she would have been able to protect herself from the nefarious attack, but as the situation is now, she and Red are stuck in the air, unable to move.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    'YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!' 'SCORN! REMEMBER!' honestly if Amy had a moment to think she'd probably laugh at the irony. But right now all she can think is: "Can *everybody* else fly?!"

    Yellow comforts her despite how much she's messed up right now. Yesterday Usagi and now Coco... people are acting like she's worth protecting and comforting. A new, pleasant feeling wells up inside her but only adds to the storm of confused emotions--

    *FEEDBACK NOISE*

    "OW! My ears!" She claps her hands over her ears as she's dropped to the floor of the Stage. Red sits up and looks down at the scene on the rooftop.

    Once the sound has stopped, she feels out where the edge is and stands, bracing herself as something resembling an RPG-7 or panzerfoust appears in her hands. "We just have to damage it enough for someone to purify it, huh?" She fires, the shaped charge rocketing downward and exploding into a lance of light hopefully suitable for piercing terribads.

    "That I can do!" A new round poofs into existence on the end of the launcher and she braces and starts taking aim for a second shot...

Aki Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Tide smiles and gives a little salute to Yellow, before she turns back to Scorn. "Scorn. Is .. is this truly what you want?..." she says. "To spread this misfortune to others? And.. and command Terribads?" she asks.

"Remember..." she says angrily again.

"You have to remember, dammit!" she yells as she flies up into the air and then finally attacks the terribad. "TIDE KICK!" she cries out, spinning the prebrace as she sends another water elemental infused kick into the side of the terribad, and bounces off it before the rocket can hit it.

"This thing is huge what'd she do, mirror the entire damn tower!?" she asks.

Scorn has posed:
The Terribad's microphone hands get lit of fire and it screams out "Terribad!" in frustration and starts waving it's hands in the air and the feedback stops as it tries to put it's arms out, it eventually accomplishes this, just in time to smack into that rocket it, sending it flying though the air and off the side of the tower after that kick to help it along from Cure Tide. it grasps the sides of the tower and flails, crawling back up and almost seeming relived about it. "Terribad..." it goes as it raises it's microphone arms and them shoots the burnt microphones out as rockets towards Daybreak and Tide, roaring out.

Scorn however, blinks. "Huh?" she asks. "Is this.. truly what I want...?" she trails off. She seems to think on this for a long moment. "Y--yes! Of course, why wouldn't I!?" she sputters. It's unconvincing. "Why.. why do you keep asking me to remember! stop this nonsense now!" she says angrily, as she hovers back into the air.

The terribad seems to waver a little after this exchange.

"S--stop pestering me with this nonsense, Tide...I.. I hate you!" she yells.

Mio Morita has posed:
"Oh Crap!" Daybreak dives out of the way, trying to avoid the incoming burnt microphones. "THIS IS NOT HOW YOU MIC DROP!" She shouts as she gathers herself and gets back to her feet. "You okay Cure Tide?" She asks having heard Yellow call her that.

She turns her attention to the terribad which is now waivering. "HIT IT WITH ALL YOU GOT!" She calls out to Red and Yellow. Quickly she turns the dial on her prebrace. "MORNING SUN BEAM!" She throws her hands forward and an Energy beam erupts out of them.

Once the attack is done she takes flight to move in and try punching the terribad some more. Pin, who is still watching the fight and occasionally is cheering on Daybreak, Yellow and Red. She happens to be shadow boxing in the air. "Get em girls! GET EM!!" She shouts as she continues punching at nothing.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
As the Terribad's microphone gets caught on fire, the musical assault ceases, bringing relief to Yellow Pearl Voice. She takes a few breaths, getting up from the ground. "I'm all right", she preempts Red's question.

As she pays attention to the exchange between Cure Tide and Scorn, a complex current of emotions swells up inside her. "Sara..." she whispers, that name barely audible to Red herself.

"I see what is going on now, Scorn. I understand what Cure Tide is trying to do." She turns to the Precure. "Cure Tide! I will give you an opening! You do what you have to!" Talking to Scorn again, she says "Hear this, Scorn. The love of someone who wants to see their best friend again. The turmoil of my heart, my passion, my happy memories, I will put it all on the table here! This is the Sound of the Bell of Love ~Love Goes On~" She activates her Super Idol form, her clothes becoming more elaborate and her hair more adorned. "Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Start!"

    The Terribad is focused on the others for the moment. Amy has no problem firing a second shot. She looks to Yellow-- 'I'm all right.' --Red nods, and holds out a hand to help Yellow stand and steady herself.

    And then her roommate is calling for hitting it as hard as possible. HAmy's magic... well, she'll trust the senior magical girl's judgement. There's no time to develop some new powerful attack, so...

    The red Puella stands and looks down, grimly. She already feels kind of worn out from these frequent attacks... from her emotions going on a rollercoaster ride lately... She doesn't sound *happy*, as she improvises a speech and callout. Just... act heroic, say a move name, just get through this and you can rest soon!: "Grabbing me... attacking my friends... *messing up this nice day out.*" Anger creeps into her voice on that last one. "For this... your evil will be punished!" She holds her arm up high. "AURA PILLAR!"

    As when they were fighting Carbonado last night, a launch tube fires a missile up into the sky propelled by red-limned flame... and it splits into several smaller ones which rain down on the terribad, bursting into more lances of light!

    Yellow Pearl Voice sings as the missile flies into the air, and Red smiles. The song lifts her heart, and she's back to her more jovial self as she watches their various attacks rain down on the monster. "Dang. Together we're kinda like a Macross anime, huh?"

Cure Tide is taken a back. She.. hates her?.. something in that statement makes her squirm. Enough that she doesn't notice the microphone rocket and she's smacked by it, hit out of the air as she flails into it and then quickly gets off riding said rocket before it can explode in the air behind her as she 'nrgs' and holds her arm, wings keeping her aloft...

"I'm fine.. now.." she says to Daybreak as she lets go of her arm. She looks at the Terribad. She looks at Scorn. She looks at the Terribad. Ugh! if.. if this Terribad just wasn't so big and a problem..

"TIDE STREAM!" she calls out, shoving all of her might into a jet of water on the otherside of the Terribad that Daybreak's Sun Beam hits, hitting it with both her hands as she keeps up her attack.

"I.." she swallows. "I don't believe that Scorn." she says quietly...

"Scorn. I forget...what's Kaito's regular...?" she asks quietly. A Casual question that makes no sense to anyone else here, most likely.

Scorn has posed:
The Terribad gets heated, and cooled down at the same time. Hit by bother Daybreak's Solar Beam and Cure Tide's wave at the same time, "T--terribad!" it yells out, before taking a beating from various missiles from the AURA PILLAR, causing it to get flung to the ground and take a knee, it's probably due for a purifying now as it weakly tries to stand back up.

Scorn looks angry about this. She made a HUGE Terribad and.. and it didn't even matter!? She's so angry...then that song starts and it starts getting into her head as she clasps her hands over her ears uselessly

The Terribad does the same. That music is horrible for the dark beings.

"...t..two sugars... h..hazelnut..." she whispers, but doesn't scream out. "Huh!?" she looks at Yellow angrily. It's..it's that music messing her up. It's in her head.

She raises her hand and tries to fire a bolt of dark energy towards Yellow, it takes the form of a very red orb of energy suddenly shooting through the air quickly.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Don't feel bad, Scorn! Like yeah, you make big monsters but it's not your fault the girl with anti-tank weaponry keeps showing up OHHHHH that's why you're mad.

    Red smiles triumphantly down at the fight below. They weakened it so now it gets purified, right?

    ...Right?

    Look, she doesn't know who was supposed to do the purifying, it just sure isn't her!

    But uh, wow, she was joking about the Macross thing but the terribad AND Scorn appear to be actually weak to music? "What are you, Protodeviln?" She chuckles. "Like, we got music *and* missiles, this just isn't your-- YELLOW!"

    Eyes wide with fear for her friend, the launch tube disapoofs into sparkles as she steps in front of the other magical girl, bracing for impact with her arms crossed defensively in front of her! Wait, actually the armor is on her chest, but she's not sure if that matters or if the whole outfit just has the same magical toughness... Actually, she shoulda just pulled Yellow out of the way...

    Before she can think on that further, she's slammed by dark energy over her forearms, chest, and face. "AAGH!" She stumbles back into Yellow from the impact, gritting and wincing her teeth at the pain, the hit parts of her outfit looking scorched.

Mio Morita has posed:
Daybreak notes the situation with the terribad. What's more, she notes that Cure Tide and Scorn have history. So she turns to Cure Tide and gives a smirk. She nods to her then turns her attention to the terribad. Out of the corner of the eye she sees the ball of dark energy go flying, "LOOK OUT!" There is nothing she can do. She is too far away from it to tank it. Too far away to do much beyond shout. She's had enough of this. "Time for you to go bye bye!"

Daybreak turns the dial on her prebrace, "Light of Hope, Become Sacred power!" Things light up in bright orange as she continues. "Pretty Cure, FIRST LIGHT SHOOT!!" A small sun forms in front of Daybreak. She quickly punches it, sending it flying into the Terribad.

Aki Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Tide flies by Yellow and says. "Keep singing. Please?" she asks. She lands in front of Scorn with a click of her heels as Cure Daybreak works on purifying the Terribad. It should be weakened now. It looks like it.

"Scorn..please..." she says, as confidently as she can. She starts walking towards Scorn slowly. "No one's...going to be upset. If you stop this right now. I promise. Please stop this?"

Cure Tide takes a risk, and gently closes her eyes and lets herself untransform. Turning into Aki Kurosawa.

"It's me. Aki. Don't you remember?" asks quietly.

One moment everything is going well, the song is having an effect on Scorn, Cure Tide aka Aki - the girl that chatted with her and Cho at the Summer Dance! - is getting through to Scorn, Cure Daybreak is purifying the Terribad, the next Scorn has launched an orb of dark energy towards her, the Live Stage has popped, Red is hurt from having saved her, and they are in freefall.

'I can do nothing, can I?' Ever since she came here, she met many magical heroines that were many times better than her, that could things and face threats she would instantly be defeated by. She watches Red plunge alongside her, the ground inching ever closer. Getting closer to the Puella Magi, she hugs her, whispering to her how sorry she was about not accomplishing what she needed to the most, at letting her take the fall in her place, at wasting her sacrifice now they are plunging to their deaths...

The Terribad gets caught in a giant bubbly sun as Daybreak calls out return to the heavens it goes 'So Relaxing...' and then it gets vaporized into the purifying nothingness. Turning into black mist as all the people mirrors are freed, and the world Scorn created starts going away, feathers stop raining.. feathers go away and fade into nothing.

This leaves Scorn all alone with that Cure Tide. Who tells her things and then untransforms. She's twitching hard right now.

"I...I don't...know you, why are you...".

That singing is still going on and she puts her hands to hear ears. She closes her eyes and shakes her head. "S..Stop it!" she says as she raises her hand towards Aki, getting ready to fire... and she does.

But it misses, flying past her and disappearing into the air behind her. "L..leave me alone..."

"I don't..."

That's when a voice rings out. "That's enough!" says Corvus, a crow that zooms through the air and lands on Scorn's shoulder. "We're leaving" say Corvus as Corvus takes away Scorn and himself into a featherly Duskport away, before that song can ruin things further for Scorn. Scorn looks apologetic at Aki as this happens almost, as all that's left behind is featherly energy that melts away as the area's left silent now.

Mio Morita has posed:
Daybreak nods and rushes over to join her friends. She is flying of course as she doesn't know if she can stand on the live stage. "Are you two okay? I am so sorry I got you into this. I hope you can forgive me." Daybreak looks very upset over the whole thing. Seeing them go flying with nothing she could do made her feel helpless. Hopeless. At least she could deal with the Terribad. That's good at least.

She turns her attention to the powered down Cure Tide. "Umm Hi, nice to meet you. I wish it were under better circumstances." She gives a weak smile. Looking around she notes all the people who are starting to stir. "Hopefully we can talk sometime.

Turning her attention back to Yellow and Red, she looks truly worried. "I can carry you to safety if you need." She doesn't want to see them hurt and something about the darkened gem has her filled with worry as well.

Pin flies over and comes down in front of Daybreak, "I feel the healing power of a nurse!" She then pokes her nose forward. "Rub it pleeeease!" Daybreak rubs the fairy's nose and she laughs a little before sneezing out a pair of cards. "You are one step closer to your great goal!" She puts the cards in the precard decor.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Falling.

    How long do they have? Amanda *thinks* she once calculated that you'd fall about 500 feet in the first six seconds. That was a pretty tall tower. She probably has a few seconds? No time to check calculations.

    She could fire a rocket down. Modify the launcher like she did with that scientist guy, to make a lot of force and movement. But, anything that can impart enough kinetic energy to STOP them from going splat, will have the same problem as going splat.

    Maybe she can summon a rocket and hold onto it, pulling them UP?

    Coco is whispering that SHE's sorry. "NO!" It should be him. He's older. He had his chance at a life already, and he wasted it. He doesn't deserve any of this, and he *certainly* doesn't deserve a young girl sacrificing herself for him. She still has a future! What will you be, Coco? A great singer? A mother? Find some talent you don't even know about, like streamer? You deserve the chance to find out!

    As the stage appears and Amy finds them slowing down, she's holding a rocket in her hand, knuckles white as she grips it tightly.

    She... she didn't have a good answer to this, and Coco saved them both. She pushes herself up on her hands and knees as Yellow brings the Stage up and sings.

    Amanda's soul gem has a little more than 3/8 of its color left, but the darkness is slowly growing.

    She... has to. Amanda looks at the side of the building, at the terribad.

    The song continues. Mallory had blue eyes, you know. Sadness and relief well up together inside her and tears fall from her eyes, splashing on the invisible floor of the live stage. She starts to sob.

    She hasn't been aware of anything but the song for several seconds now. It's all overwhelming. The battle and her comrades and enemies, the city around them, blur into that confusing cloud of tangled feelings. It's too much. What can she even do?

    Everything will be fine if she sleeps, right? Everything will be better if she sleeps...

    Red lies down on the live stage and passes out. Her clothes revert to what she was wearing before, a black T-shirt and dark slacks.

    The soul gem on her necklace has stopped getting darker.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
'She is really getting through to Scorn!' Yellow Pearl Voice thinks, watching Aki successfully talk to Scorn. Out of nowhere Scorn is stolen away from her, the doing of a weird crow that disappears with Scorn in a weird feathery spell before anyone can do so much as raise a finger. 'Of course she has 'allies' too', she thinks, though she doubts these people can truly be called allies.

As Cure Daybreak addresses her, she smiles in reassurance, a genuine smile, but one interlaced with worry. She has picked up Amy off the ground as she goes to talk to Cure Daybreak. "Don't worry, I am glad you are fine. That thing was endangering many people anyway. I am all good, but Red has been roughened up pretty badly.

Yellow Pearl Voice looks at the Puella Magi with remorse, her bad physical conditions and the darkened gem really worrying her. "We need to find someone who can help her. Blue can, right?" she asks, looking back at her.

Lastly, she also looks at Aki, who is clearly processing several emotions right now. Detransforming in front of her, she starts talking to her. Everyone else here knew anyway, and she was now aware of Aki's indentity, so it was only fair. "I'm sorry that crow ruined all your efforts. How are you holding up?"

Aki Kurosawa has posed:
Aki Kurosawa pushes forward. "R...remember.. I know you can..." she says sharply. "Please. No one has any ill will towards you. Stop..stop this. Before you do something unf---" that's when Corvus comes out of nowhere and her eyes go wide as she leaps forward, catching nothing but feathery darkness in her wake as she smacks down to the ground.

She hits the ground with a thunk, and with no henshin that kind of hurts. She winces and starts to stand up. Sitting up, she makes a fist and smashes it down into the ground. "D..damit! It's always...that damn crow!" she says angrily. "I'm going to cook it's goose...!" she says angrily She slowly stands to her feet and looks down.

"S..sorry. Everyone." she says, out of henshin, she shoves her hands into her pockets.

"..Hey." she says to Daybreak. "It's fine. That's... that's Scorn. She's a witch. She doesn't like me. Or. Her." she says, looking over to the Red Puella.

"...We're...pretty sure she's my missing sister. Gull-chan." she says quietly.

She watches Daybreak get Precards. "Oh!" she jogs on over and watches.

"Right. I'm. Cure Tide. Aki Kurosawa. You should come by. Uhm. Gullwing Coffee sometimes! Say Hi?" she asks. "I mean. To all of you." she says as she strokes the back of her head. "I'll give you a discount if you just..."

"Hey, is she okay...?" she asks about Red. She rubs the back of her head.

"I..I'm okay, but what about her?"

Amanda Faust has posed:
    The back of Amy's forearms are burned. Not actually blackened or anything though. Hmm, how much about medical treatment does Mio remember? Did she read over everything Amy added to their medical supplies in the dorm room?

    Below them, a little white animal with red eyes bounds up the stairs, unseen by the crowd.

    Kyubey is a lot of things, but he can't see the future and he can't be literally *everywhere* at once. His bodies are really small and the tower is really big. Not that he can be annoyed at such things.

Mio Morita has posed:
Daybreak looks around. People are still not exactly aware of what is going on and thats a good thing. She quickly breaks her henshin and goes back to being her normal self. "Nice to meet you, Kurosawa-san. I'm Mio Morita." She smiles and gives a polite bow to Aki before turning her attention to Coco and Amy.

That's about the point she sees the burns. "Oh wow. Those are bad. Pin I think we're going to need those new cards." She quickly loads the new cards in her prechan mirror. "N-n-nurse! Time to change!" Instantly her clothing has changed to that of a nurse. Candy striper even. She quickly moves over to Amy and begins patching her up, putting burn cream on her arms and bandaging them up. "Cure Cards are definitely a perk of this job!" She laughs

Once done, She stands up, not bothering to change back for now. "I think she is just sleeping now. Not knocked out or anything. More passed out." She laughs.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
A look of relief passes on Coco's face as Mio cures the burns on Amy's body. "Thank you, Mio. You are great!", she yells, before giving her a hug. "What do we do now?" The rest of her worries are still there, as the darkened gem has for the majority lost its red.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    ...And here Amy's been putting a medkit together to take on missions, and starting to think she should carry some things all the time, and Mio can just *do that*. Precards *are* useful!

    Nurse Mio treating the wound gives Kyubey ample time to arrive. With everyone paying attention to that, it's easy for him to suddenly be there, like Batman. Red eyes and unchanging :3 expression just staring blankly at the group. When spotted, he speaks up: "You're worried for her. You are her friends?"

Aki Kurosawa walks over and nods to Daybreak as she uses her new Precards to do the work. She frowns and kneels down over Amy. She eyes Kyubey. "Of course we're worried for her. She's hurt." she says to Kyubey as she frowns.

Mio Morita has posed:
Mio looks at her work. After having sanitized the area and applied burn cream then bandaging Amy, She takes a breather and looks around. Thats when she sees the white creature with the red eyes. "I suppose you are the one who is supposed to help Amy? I ask because I've not seen you around the dorm once." She is clearly not thrilled with this creature already. "Yes we are her friends and yes we want to help her. What is happening to her and why is that gem of hers getting dark?"

Coco Kiumi has posed:
Coco looks at the source of the sudden voice. A white cat(?) is standing before them, his beady red eyes gazing straight at them. "You are her animal buddy, aren't you? The one Blue warned her about knowing much more than she thought?" His fixed gaze is certainly unsettling, but he is Amy's only hope.

We certainly are worried about her, so please if you can reveal anything that would help her, tell us what can help her."

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Kyubey's mouth isn't moving. This is actually telepathy, the cute boyish voice just going straight into the minds of those he speaks with. He cocks his head to one side as they speak, long ears dangling.

    "Those who make a contract with me don't have individual guardians like you." He licks his paw like a cat. "I must watch over all of them myself!" he says, as if it's a lot of work but a duty he accepts for a greater purpose.

    "The magic power she wields is not unlimited. Forming a contract with me creates a soul gem the the individual can use to transform into a magical girl! In return, she must hunt Witches, terrible monsters that prey on humans! As she uses magic, her soul gem darkens. But, when a witch is defeated, a grief seed is left behind. It can be used to absorb the darkness, so that she can continue using magic to fight witches!" Kyubey cocks his head the other way, and then begins to pace in a little circle, again like a cat.

    "But, Witch activity has been low in this area for the past several days. Amanda wasn't using much magic until yesterday, but without hunting a witch, this rate is unsustainable! If one doesn't show up here soon, she may need to look for one further away."

    Kyubey stops pacing and sits, facing Coco and cocking his head again. "Who is 'Blue'?"

Aki Kurosawa frowns a little. "Look." she says. "if Blue-sama is warning us about you..." she says to the cat as she frowns, looking over to Daybreak. "Then maybe it's a good idea to take what you're saying with a grain of salt."

"So right now you're saying she needs to hunt witches? Wait do you mean those horrors that live in those weird worlds?" she asks, seeming uneasy about it. She's encountered one before. But it was a while ago.

When she had Cure Gull at her side. That long ago.

"Ugh like. Living paper cut outs. With magazines mixed in." she says, shivering.

Amanda Faust has posed:

    Kyubey licks his paw and grooms his ear with it. "That sounds like a description of a Witch's barrier, most likely!" He looks at Aki. "You want to see them destroyed too, don't you?"

Mio frowns, "Seems like that is something you should have warned her about before you made her a magical girl. She would have mentioned that need to me." She responds to Kyubey. She turns her attention to Coco, "I guess we know what we are doing next. We have to go with her and fight one of these witches to help Amy." She shakes her head.

"Blue-sama is an Earth god." She states. "He is the one who made Aki and I Precure." She whispers so as not to draw the attention of the people who have finally shaken off being in a misfortune mirror.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
At Kyubey's question, Coco understood that, like usual, she said too much. She backtracks from that, this is for her friends. "Someone I met just three/four days ago. I don't know much about them, but they seem to know about a lot about you and my goddess." She ponders the informations Kyubey revealed.

"Wait, you are one that looks over the kind of magical girls like Amy? So the ones like Cherry Spear, you look over her too? She mentioned the term grief seed too. She was going to kill a friend of mine for that, all because we tried to purify a familiar. Now I understand why Cherry Spear is half-friendly, half-explosive. It's because you are egging them on to collect these limited resources, right? What are you trying to do with them?"

Aki Kurosawa has posed:
Akui Kurosawa listens and frowns. "I see." she says softly. She looks to Mio, like she's about to say something, but decides against it, looking back down to the cat-thing. "That's incredibly not cool of you to tell girls about." she says.

"But we'll help her hunt these things if we must just."

"..we gotta be ready." she says to others. "I only dealt with these things once? And I had Gull-chan helping me at the time.." she trails off. "And it was still weird and dangerous." she says. "I think it's best someone always goes with her..." she motions to Amy. "If you're going to actively hunt these things."

Mio Morita has posed:
"Mio frowns, "If its as dangerous as you say it is, There is no way I'm going to let her go alone. I'm going to. I can at least fight off anything that comes at her." She looks at Coco to see what she will say.

As Aki says the big 'We' Mio looks to her. "You're planning on coming too?" She asks curiously. "I mean I understand if you don't want to come." She comments, not trying to discourage Aki but wanting her to feel safe. This might come across clearer if she wasn't still wearing the nurse getup from her cure card.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
Coco takes a second to calm down. "Yes, I am coming too. I will come with you anywhere. My experience is limited to a lone familiar and even then there were Cure Wukong and Cherry Spear on the scene too, but my songs are able to hurt them too."

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Kyubey cocks his head the other way. "Have you told all of your friends every single thing you know? It is only natural that one knows things others do not." He pads over towards Amy. "If she had waited for a full explanation, Sailor V might have been defeated. But she knew that magical girls risk their lives against monsters. Still, I expected a witch to show up here sooner, and to teach her how to track witches and explain all of this at that time."

    Kyubey sits in front of Amy. He looks at Coco again. "You think because it is called a 'contract' that I demand things of them? This is simply how the magic works." He licks his paw again, to groom his other ear. "The soul gems are their power sources. Grief seeds replenish soul gems. To get grief seeds, they must kill witches. This would be true even if I disappeared from this world today." He cocks his head to one side. "You understand the concept that all power comes with a price, do you not? Humanity has many stories about this. It is a fundamental law of the universe. Cars move people farther and faster than they could walk, but the coal and oil burned come from plants and animals that lived long ago. Plants perform photosyntheis with the energy in sunlight, but the sun's light is created by the fusion of atomic nucleii inside it." Kyubey looks up into the sky. "Hydrogen becomes helium and it will not break apart into hydrogen again on its own."

    Kyubey looks into Aki's eyes. "If you think that your powers are created from nothing, perhaps there are things you don't know, either?"

    He turns his head to Mio. "You are good friends, helping your friend Amanda."

    And then he turns to Amy and licks her face. "Wake up."

    Amanda opens her eyes. "Huh? Wha-- Kyubey?" She looks up at the others. "What happened??" She sits up. "Where are--" And then blushes and looks away as she realizes she fell asleep to Yellow's song like a lullaby. "I uh... I was... I guess all this monster-fighting made me tired..."

Coco Kiumi has posed:
"I can move through the air under my own power and avoid getting the least bit tired of it, nevermind the fact I am of course not an airplane. I don't think you are telling me everything, but now that you woke up Amy, we have better things to do. Just, promise me nothing you have done will harm her. I have already lost a friend to dark energy like that, and I'm still working or helping her back. I don't want to lose another." She gives Kyubey a last annoyed gaze before turning to the other. "I think we can go, what do you say?"

Aki Kurosawa has posed:
Aki Kurosawa frowns. "Well. The girl, who's my sister. Who's currently a member of the Phantom Empire seems to have a deathwish for this girl. I feel responsible so. I'd like to help." she says softly. She has no idea that Scorn's also responsible for Amy's wish and she'd hate herself forever if she knew.

"So. Don't worry about it. You can find my dorm in the school's directory. You all go to Radiant Heart, right?" she asks curiously.

She looks down at Kyubey and crosses her arms. "I know all about powers and rules, trust me." she says blankly. "We have at least one rule." she says nodding matter of factly.

"Blue-sama already told you the rule r-right? Don't fall in love?" she asks to Mio. "I heard. Sometimes he forgets." she says with a whisper.

    Kyubey takes a few steps back as Amy sits up, and looks at Coco expressionlessly. "She contracted with me to become a magical girl. Magical girls risk being wounded or dying in battle. If you consider this to be 'something I have done' then it would be deceitful of me to make such a promise. Have others made such promises about magical girls they granted power to?"

    He looks to Aki, and then to Mio. "I do not forbid anyone from falling in love." he volunteers, plainly.

    Amy holds a hand to her head and nods. "I knew what I was signing up for... wait, why are you all talking about... what *are* we talking about, anyway?" She looks at her bandaged arms. "...And who had a medical kit?" Then she stands up, wincing as she briefly uses her arms to brace herself.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
Coco stops talking with Kyubey, instead she waits for the others to end their questions, ready to follow them at a moment's notice.

Mio Morita has posed:
"You can't teach someone something if you aren't around. As far as if I have told everything to Amy, She knows what I am. She knows why I fight and who I fight. She chose to join this fight on her own accord. She knew all the risks involved. All but one. That is the risk YOU didn't tell her about.

She sighs and shakes her head. "Thank you Kurosawa-san." She nods. "He also told me not to tell others my identity." She glares at Kyubey, "I am sure Blue-sama has his reasons for that rule. That is something that is between us and him. Also, If we ask him why, he tells us plain and simple."

She looks at Amy and is still dressed as a a nurse. "Umm that was me that helped you, Amy. I umm don't need one." She smiles happily. "Cure Cards are pretty cool!" She sighs, "What were you told about about what you need to do concerning your soul gem?"

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Amy scoops the necklace up in her hand and her eyes widen. It is a significant chunk darker than when she checked it this morning. "That it's the source of my powers, and not to let it get too dark. He said something like, many magical girls find it easier to understand if the rest is shown, and that he'd teach me how to track a witch as soon as one showed up. I, uh. I kinda... had a lot on my mind, at the time?" She looks away awkwardly. She made the choice and she'd make it again, but that night... she was just excited that magic was real and she's turned into a girl, how frikkin' cool was that!

    She looks down at Kyubey, looking back up at her, and then at Mio. "Wukong already told me about Cherry Spear, and the whole, limited magic and having to collect grief seeds thing. I figured a witch would show up soon, I *did* promise to fight them after all. Uhh..." She looks back down at Kyubey.

    o o "There has been an unusual lull in Witch appearances in this area for the past several days. It may be random chance, I am watching for signs indicating otherwise."

    Amy nods. Not looking at all uneasy about this. She knew there were risks, and she didn't care. Anything was better than spending the rest of her life waiting for another chance like this. The thought of that... Makes her ill-disposed towards being mad at Kyubey for all this.

Mio Morita has posed:
"Okay so you knew." She frowns as she looks down. "Okay, So what we need to do is find you a witch to take down. I will go with you to help you deal with it. Coco said she is coming too. Until we find you a witch though, you're going to have to sit out any fights that might happen. I dunno what happens if your soul gem goes pure black but I have a feeling its not good." She frowns.

She turns to Coco, "I think I am going to head out. Something is fishy and I don't like this type of fish." She looks to Amy. "You coming?" She asks curiously.
