Location: | Tsukino-Osaka Dorm |
Synopsis: | Luna is browsing the Clock App when she sees Hematite's video on the Phantom Silver Crystal. |
Cast of Characters: | Usagi Tsukino |
The Clock App is, in Luna's opinion, a decidedly worthless creation of humanity, one of the least effective means of communication and information transmission, with a high likely of naive recipients accepting propagandist drivel as fact, simply because of the beautiful face of the deliverant.
And yet, it was somehow, startlingly addictive. Genuine evidence of the human drive to create dangerous objects.
That was the only reason she was presently browsing the Clock App on Usagi's phone instead of doing research, observing her charges, or searching for their princess. The evil addictive properties embedded within the algorythmic processes crafted those dangerous humans. Definitely not her own listless boredom driving her to seek entertainment.
Definitely not.
Luna stretched out on Naru's bed and sighed. The steady white noise of Usagi's shower was relaxing, pushing her to an even deeper laze, and the only motion she felt capable of was idle scrolling.
Cooking hacks (definitely fake), cookie decorating videos (real but impractical), journaling techniques (as if Usagi would ever), do-you-make-up-like-a-baddie guide (what was a baddie?), untitled video featuring Hematite -
wait.
Luna scrolled back up cautiously, staring at the young man. It was certainly Hematite. She had seen him in henshin before, and it was hard to mistake him for anyone else given how Usagi delighted in spending time with her chosen paramour, which meant that Luna had spent more than a small amount of time with him, and his face was impossible to mistake for anyone else's.
But.
Why would he be on Clock App?
With a feeling of growing dread, Luna presses play on the video. Bokeh lights move in the background. Sparkles shine off highlights. A boy in a very familiar outfit with a very familiar name speaks in his very familiar voice.
It's the voice he uses when he tells Usagi she can power through one more math problem. This is what echoes through her mind as she watches him tell the world about a miracle. About their miracle.
About the Phantom Silver Crystal that belongs to Princess Serenity, and which must never fall to evil hands.
"U-SA-GI TSU-KI-NO!"
