It turns out resetting time over and over can eventually lead to complications, and those complications can have knock on effects themselves. Unbeknownst to her as a result of Homura Akemi's timeloops cracks are starting to appear within stopped time and strange new 'monsters' called Red Strings have started to harass her as well.
