Yaling is just coming from the Club Building after sharing with others the virtues of the herbs that she had been growing. There were more reasons than simply exams, but hopefully the three that came will be able to excel now that their issues should hopefully be no longer a factor.
It also ended up being an encounter that not only was able to be useful to others, but meant very important things for her too, namely the fact that she now has 3 future events to look forward to, between the hangouts with Cho and the news of a Prom! That's why she is cheerfully humming along the way back.
Now that she has covered enough of a distance from the Club Building, Yaling opens the door to the dorm building as she continues her train of thought. Because she quite a few matters to consider. Of course, she will probably not find someone to go with her, but still, the reason she is going to prom, Yaling reminds herself as she closes the door behind her is that this is her big ticket towards making friends, no way she can let it go!
She is on the way to her dorm room right now, because with a prom coming up, she does have to consider which outfit to wear, thought as for what she will find in her wardrobe... She really doesn't think she will have anything that would look suitable for a princess right now. She only needs to find out when exactly the prom will be held to understand her deadline.
Having resolved to look around for that the time, she opens the door to her room, only stopping when her foot brushes against an envelope. She slowly picks it up, not even sure why she would be receiving any. She barely knows people still. Opening it, she reads the very fluent calligraphy inside.
Hi Yaling,
how are things going? I have really enjoyed getting to know you recently, and appreciated how well we teamed up that time, and I would like to meet again soon.
Speaking of which, you have probably heard about the Prince & Princess Prom already. They are definitely planning things big. The catering will be varied and plentiful, and they seem to be definitely going big on the decorations. Not to mention there are going to be as many as 3 idols showing up for the Prom, so we students definitely have lots of choices for the ball.
It's shaping up to be a fun event, but I know I would enjoy it a lot more if I got to spend it with you.
Would you like to be my Princess?
Hoping to see you there,
Cho Konishi
She... she didn't expect that. Cho must have left it before she came to her meeting. That was why she mentioned the prom so suddenly at the end. Because she knew Yaling would have found this when she went back.
What should she do now? Should she actually accept? "Hey, BaiBai, look at this", Yaling says to her mascot, jostling her from her nap.
"Hmm? Oh, she has asked you out? Good for you. She is very nice, especially for a pupil of Wuwu", BaiBai tells her in a mellow tone.
"Do you think I should go with her?", the green-haired girl asks, looking again at the letter. That question is followed by BaiBai slightly shaking her head. "That doesn't matter now, does it? What do you feel?"
"Hmmm, well", Yaling starts pondering, visualising Cho in her head. "She is quite kind, and she looks very attentive about people in general. So I think a prom with her would be quite fun."
"Then you should go. You wanted to grab your chance to actually live, no? Then have fun. Mingle with kids your age. And enjoy your time with Cho-san."
That was probably right, wasn't it? She did like those times she was around Cho, so she can spend a fun event with her, and either way, she will discover something more. "Yes, I will go have fun together with her, thank you, BaiBai", Yaling smiles, now actually... quite excited. That's what she feels mounting in her, her eyes glinting.
"She is a nice kid", is the last reassurance BaiBai has to give. "Now let's not stand on your own doorstep, please", the snake adds, lightly pressing her head against Yaling's neck, who passes a finger under BaiBai's neck in response. "Sure!"
